Third wave at Riversdale was amazing! The lunch was incredible, and the staff were fantastic. If we hadn't had to come home to Ballarat we'd have had dinner there too!

This is a cool pub attracts some nice social locals and the service here is excellent.

Dined at Third Wave restaurant which appears attached to the hotel. Third Wave also appears to be American franchise ...loads of slow cooked meat. You won't go hungry. Ribs, pulled pork, marinated chicken wings, steak. Not cheap. Service was great. The meat was dry. Should have been moist. Succulent. Tasted like reheated left overs. Edible but don't recommend a return visit.

Staff is friendly venue lovely kitchen that just reopened

For a place open until 4am I think the staff deal with a lot. They’re good people and they deserve a lot of respect, after going through a rough patch I went in for a lemonade played pool had a nice chat. They’re also in connection with the restaurant next door Third Wave you can order it from the QR code on the tables.

Pretty good pub for a quick beer after tools down. Just needs some stools in the smoking area

Third Wave Riversdale brilliant. (Please note attached restaurant to Riversdale Hotel) The staff & food cannot be faulted. Do yourself a huge favour and go VERY hungry with a very empty stomach. You're going to need all the room you have!

Nice pub, it's unfortunate that it doesn't do meals, so basically just the TAB, pokies and does have a pool table. Good place to watch the footy and grab some drinks.

One star for being the pub that owns the rip off thirsty camel store next door. Such greedy prices there.

Came here with a few of my mates the other night and the majority of us ordered a parma with a beer. I’ve had my fair share of Parmas in my time and this was definitely one of the most average ones I’ve had, it was bland, cold, the salad on the side was clearly old; maybe even a few days old and the chips were cold and under cooked definitely not going to come back here again.

Poor, poor, poor. Terrible food, old decor, horrible management. Arguable one of the worst establishments I’ve been to. Definitely time for new owners!

We did not go to the hotel as such. We went to the pop up restaurant Mahob by Amok. We have been here several times and the food never fails to be exceptional. Only giving four stars because I find the restaurant a bit loud. Food is beautiful with lots of variety and plenty of vegetarian options.

Had a beer here while waiting for friends to arrive for dinner next door. The pub/TAB was a little rub down, but the service was good. A lot of pokies machine in-house and might not be kids friendly.

Nice food, clean and tidy.

The parma here was probably the most average thing I have ever eaten, starting with the parma its self it was very bland with no seasoning & a very clearly out of the bottle sauce. The cheese & ham was good tho. The parma was also cooked in old oli as you could taste it with the lack of seasoning. The salad was good with a semi coleslaw with nice dressing. The chips where below average with very little salt/seasoning and being slightly over cooked. Over all of the meal was only 16$ but I would it at a 4.5/10

I saw some bad reviews for this pub including some for bad parmas- brought the kids for a pub meal. The Parma was excellent! Big serves, delicious chips. And they gave free drinks for the kids. 5/5 will come again soon!

Good meal, friendly staff. Can’t ask for much better

I have been to every pub in Melbourne some I qualified to say that this one is the WORST. There are some real average joints in Melbourne but the Riversdale takes the cake. If you’re lucky enough to survive the salmonella poisoning your likely to get from the worst parmigiana in the world, tell your friends and family to AVOID this place. Staff are rude, food is horrible and all around an absolute fail.

Heard on the f/b Hawthorn & Auburn Community group that The Riversdale had picked up its act, so we gave it another chance. Bzzzz ... a big F-A-I-L. The chicken in the parma special was very tough. Say no more ..

I booked the function room for my 50th birthday recently. I can’t speak highly enough about the service we received from Kim the events manager, who was incredibly helpful. The room was perfect for a small gathering, and it was so great to be able to bring our own grazing table snacks, and DJ equipment. Really reduced the costs. I would certainly book again for future events.

Came here on a cold Saturday night and we were not disappointed. The chicken ribs and eggplant chips were fantastic, we will definitely be coming back. They also offer a Pot and Parma special on Wednesday nights

never write reviews stop going to hotel service was shocking staff on mobiles wasn't interested in service ,food poor but myself and boyfriend called in on Monday 11th Jan 21 to watch cricket girl behind bar was fantastic she was only staff member on as i could see doing gaming Tab bar she was polite friendly helpful with tab ...maybe had clean out of staff will be back live local .
