Awesome service and great food

Overpriced and lacks execution of their talked up menu. I had “Fall off the bone beef rib” with crispy chips & salad. Ordered a beer served in the bottle, no offer of a glass. The beef had a nice flavor… unfortunately crispy chips were soggy chips. The salad was nothing special and the dressing clashed with the Spiced Rum BBQ sauce on the ribs (and chips).

Bit disappointed

Ordered a spaghetti Bolognese and it turned up burnt, no flavour very bland in taste and could not eat it . Shame on the the new owner and the so called chef. Won't go there again . We been there many times in the past and always been good food Others have complained and said they would never go back. I was not ask to pay for it.

晚餐的豬排令人傻眼，我的肉是同桌的一半份量，且這塊肉皮和脂肪就佔去三分之二，對健康較佳的瘦肉兩口即食完了。蔬菜是一根花椰菜，三小段胡蘿蔔、二小塊南瓜、三小塊丁狀馬鈴薯，沒有比較沒有傷害，對於同是觀光客，此份量令人不平，感覺我是兒童餐，這算品管不佳嗎？另餐椅墊雖是黑色但明顯污痕一大片，想翻面用結果一樣，拿掉不用直接坐椅子上，拿自己隨身攜帶的濕巾先擦一下，慶幸自己有先擦，椅子不知不久沒清洗真是太髒了，如果這些缺點是無法改善那我真的不會再去😔

18 hour cooked Brisket well worth it

Had dinner 2 nights, food is excellent and staff very pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyable meals with drinks all reasonably priced.

Steak was dry, parmigiana balls we’re disgusting dry as over cooked will never go back there

Had dinner at this restaurant. Had a steak and ribs between the pair of us. Great flavours and beautifully cooked! Dessert was also amazing. Service was kind and attentive. Would definitely dine again!

Had the pork on the specials menu. Pork was inedible (tough) but the veges were great. Also had the twice cooked pork. Pork was great but the salad was super bland. Disappointing!

Amazing steak. Came here with a work group and everything was excellent... service, food, drinks menu. The venue is old and tired but the food overcomes that easily... so if you get your nose out of joint about that kind of thing that's your problem.

Had lunch today with some friends...and I gotta say ALL 3 meals were absolutely fantastic! service was fabulous and prompt. compliments to the Chef, will be back for more.

I have frequented Steve's Grill for many years and dined again tonight as a table of six. The establishment has changed hands and have a new menu, and I was expecting to have the same quality of food as I have had many times in the past. To say I was disappointed is an understatement! I ordered the low and slow cooked beef rib- $40 and I was unable to cut it with a steak knife. It was inedible and I returned it to the kitchen. I ordered an entree which didn't arrive until the entire table had finished eating. I wasn't charged for the beef rib and I declined to pay for the entree since it didn't arrive for a good 20 mins after ordering. I paid for a cheesy garlic bread which was delicious, an overcooked single chicken satay skewer- $30!!! and a medium/well 250g scotch fillet that was ordered medium/rare-$50. It is safe to say we will not be returning! 🙁

Was disappointed to arrive and find that the menu provided on the website isn't the same menu being used in the restaurant, especially considering how much more expensive the menu on site is. The food was great, but we definitely spent more money than we were planning on.

If I could give the food a 0 star I would. First our booking was forgotten? The young girl was lovely but not very attentive. The tables had white paper on them? My partners steak took a while and came out with cold chips - sauce extra and was just gravy with no flavour. Steak was unevenly cooked and tough. Wouldn’t call yourself a grill if you couldn’t get a steak right ….. I got the prawns and you could tell they were frozen and greasy. The salad was oily and not fresh. The atmosphere was way off and not very inviting. $130 later and we didn’t even finish. 10/10 WOULD NOT recommend.

A truly awful experience. Food was way below expectations and way overpriced. Over-cooked and bland. We were seated in the main dining room with 20+ mostly unsupervised kids running around while they waited for their pizza. Really??? Given the prices we paid for food and wine I expected a bit more than a grade 5 classroom ambience. Used to be a good restaurant but not any more! And what’s with the paper table cloths? There are much better restaurants in Launceston with much better food. Avoid this one!

I orders rump and was ok, the prawn topper was so runny and veggies were just warm and not great, my son got a $60 scotch and was a bad cut, looked like it was slapped on the plate. We were very disappointed in the food and service. Wouldn’t come back. 😳🥲

Tasteless and expensive. Large steak not so large, sauce cost extra and served with chips but no salad/veg. Tasteless salmon. No atmosphere - decor as bland as food and paper table cloths in a restaurant?

Good value for money.

Expected more from the reviews we read. We had the 200g rump steak and vegetables and it was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. I was expecting it to be more tender.

We Had the Roast Turkey with Gravy $17 lunch deal and it was Superb.

Was after a succulent after a long day on the go and this place delivered, steaks were spot on, entrees were above average also, kids meal was above average and the garlic bread had a bit of room to improve. All in all we would stop here for a steak again.

Food and service was excellent although a little expensive for what it is. Atmosphere needs some work and the paper table cloths are just embarrassing. I felt like I needed crayons to finish off the night. Staff were amazing and overall a really nice meal. Thank you

At first glance we were a little less than impressed. The decor is plain and the paper tablecloths are not at all glamorous. But we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff member, and ushered to a table near a window. The menu is pretty extensive so there was a bit of head scratching, but our waitress Crystal was excellent, and helped us get it sorted out. The food was excellent. Good sized serves, tasty, well-presented. A big thumbs up! We left very impressed, and we will be back. Gold stars for lovely and well-trained staff, and delicious food. The only real blemish was the windows could use a good clean.

Came here with my partner for a nice night out and it was great. The food came out just when we started to feel hungry for our next course. Drinks are well priced with a great selection and the suggested house wine was very nice and paired great with the steak. The paintings displayed are very nice and add to the atmosphere but the paper on the tables makes it feel cheap and like they expect you to be messy. The lighting was also a bit how you going with a mix of different colour bulbs which was most noticeable with the chandeliers. I'd suggest swapping the bright white light bulbs in the chandeliers out with the warm white ones found on the walls this would brighten up the walls and add some light to the paintings while giving the centre of the room a warmer atmosphere. The bill at the end of the night surprised us as it came out to less than we're used to when we dine at similar places and get similar food. We will certainly be back again!

The staff and facilities were fantastic however the food was huge (wasted) and overpriced for the quality.

Really good service, quick as well. Pretty good food, we all had steaks, lovely red wine jus. Didn't like the paper as tablecloths, a bit pricey @ $80/person but I would go again.

This is a very nice place to get a very well cooked steak. I am very fussy when it comes to steak. I don't normally order it as most places leave me disappointed. This is a place that knows how to cook steak perfectly. Highly recommend...

Food is perfectly cooked with good portion. The waitress is very lovely and even came back to check our order when she realised 10 of us only ordered 9 mains to make sure on one is left out. Highly recommend.

Amazing meal tonight with my family of five. My husband and I both had steak, cooked perfectly to our liking. Kids were all very satisfied with their choices also. Service was spot on, our main waitress was so lovely, seemed to actually enjoy her job, which really makes a difference! Wait time was not long either. 10/10!

There was a group of 6 of us who ate tonight, most of us had steaks and some had parmas and spaghetti bowl ! We are super impressed and couldn’t believe how great the food was ! Honestly a hidden GEM ! The waiter crystal was amazing and had a qurkey personality was great ! We will definitely be back

My wife and I, along with some friends enjoyed a lovely evening and meal here. We haven't been to Steve's since he moved from Riverside, not for any particular reason, we just haven't made it back. It used to be good, and it still is. It's a shame they can't get staff to man Monday and Tuesday nights. You could do a lot worse than have a meal at Steve's Grill.

Great as always! Booked a table online for Sunday lunch, excellent service and great prices. Parking available at rear. Ordered the Duck Pate for entree and a small Scotch fillet with the garlic sauce prawns topper for mains. Both great, steak cooked medium rare…done perfect. Dined here many times, always a good experience.

Wonderful meal shared with a big group. The Table Service was excellent. The food was delivered hot and quickly and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing with groups of people chatting and having fun. Thank you to all staff for this enjoyable meal.

We are travelling around Tasmania and we were recommended by a local to dine at Steve's Grill. I am glad we did. Absolutely amazing food and wonderful friendly service. Everything that a restaurant should be. Great work Steve & Staff. Keep up the great work. I will also be recommending your Grill to anyone coming to Launceston looking for a great place to dine. Loved it. We only spent 2 nights in Launceston, but we found Steve's Grill absolutely delightful, that we had to go back for dinner again on our 2nd night. Well done Steve & Staff, definitely didn't disappoint again. 10 out of 10 for Food and Service. All the best. Hopefully life treats you and your family well for your future. 牛排五分熟還是接近全熟，吃起來太硬了！起司雞排超大，羊排很嫩，整體來說好吃，只覺得牛排可惜了！

My wife and I really appreciated the friendly and informative help from the gentleman who waited on us. We enjoyed both our steak meals which were cooked perfectly however my porterhouse steak was a little on the tough side and both our meals really could have done with a more generous serving of vegies. Overall an enjoyable sitting however too expensive.

Food was excellent and well presented. Service very good and timely. Tables not crowded, presented a comfortable atmosphere.

I had a Super tender steak, tasty veggies with a delicious side salad. for dessert, I had plum pudding that was not too sweet beautifully presented. yum!!! Great service and a fantastic wine list

The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. I'll admit my eyes were bigger then my stomach. But I wasn't willing to leave anything behind, it was that good. The staff were well trained and service was great. It has a great relaxed atmosphere. I am going to make myself a regular.

We had the lamb rump and the chicken parmi, they were great! Service was even better! Cheers to Coby for making us feel so comfortable 😌
