Great food excptional service especially Namuna behind the bar very helpfull and friendly.

I recently went to the Carlyle Hotel for a catch up with a mate, the first time back there for years. What a pleasure to relax in excellent surroundings and special thank you to Namuna for her cheerful and smiling help and service. And also mush mentioned the great bistro menu and meal.

I stayed here for 3 nights and we be definitely staying here again on my next trip to Hobart that's for sure. The meals were fantastic and very reasonable priced. The rooms upstairs where very clean and the beds very comfortable. The service in the bar was excellent and can't fault in any way.

My previous few trips here haven’t been pleasant HOWEVER.. a stunning young boy at reception today by the name of Bikam could not have been nicer. he was charming, professional and deserves recognition. He should be receiving 15% of pokies profits just kidding. Great place for relaxation, Good thing is bar open till late and pokies too.

Meals are yummy, service great. The menu has a wide selection & the meals arrive quickly. There is a delicious dressing on the salad & the meat cooked exactly as requested. The rooms are comfortable & well presented. Great value. Thank you to the cooks & staff

Absolutely HORRIBLE. The food was disgraceful, curried scallops, ? A bowl of soup with 3 scallops and heaps ov rice, $30.00. Chicken wings so extremely spicy couldn't eat, and a bowl of chips ,$10.00. Just to top ig off, a FLAT jug of coke. Absolutely BAd. Recommend. Going ELSEWHERE.

Went for a couple of drinks. Ended up staying for quite a few as NBA was on. AJ was absolute legend and so were the rest of the team. Great welcoming atmosphere and great staff.

Excellent food and service

Not impressed, the burger I had was ok, but the scallops my mother had were disgraceful, small over cooked and rubbery not worth the $30 paid for them looked like they were out of a frozen supermarket bag, fish and chip shop could have done better for less.

Visit the Carlyle at least once a week, seniors meals are great, prices are excellent, cannot get better staff, food nice and hot and not too much food on the plate for seniors, love this place, thanks to all, haven’t been to Carlyle for some time visited today January 15 th 2025 the roast vegetables were lovely meal was hot but turkey was just fat all fat very disappointing yuk

Daniel and AJ provided excellent service. The room was clean and it was great value. Pub style meals were good and reasonably priced.

Great place to have beers and enjoy game of 8 ball. Many pokies machines as well, Thanks to AJ and team for providing exceptional service the other day. Highly recommended.

Nothing was too much trouble for Daniel checking us in. He even carried our bag upstairs to our room. Dinner was good food and the service was good despite a full restaurant. Thank you to the girls who looked after us!

Really nice staff

This pub/restaurant has improved 100x Two years ago the food was very average..Now it's consistently good. We were a group of 20. The consensus was that all the food was great. They probably need to improve their chicken burgers a little is what people mentioned. All the other food was fantastic, especially the gnocchi. It was probably the best gnocchi I've tried ever. I'd be ordering this a lot if they had it on ubereats.

Staff are really nice, and the rooms were clean and functional. The view from my room overlooked an awning, which to my amusement had someone's discarded butt plug and tube of lube resting on it.

Great customer service. Sudan was very helpful and his service were exceptional.

I asked the waitress if the fish was fresh,she stated yes.When the meal arrived the fish was from a packet and had been frozen. 3 other people has lunch with me and none of us were happy with the meals or prices

Carlyle hobart hotel, Wow!! Fabulous food!! My hubbie and I had the special of steak on Wednesday nights, Anna ..our waitress was lovely and friendly the person/ young lady who saw us to our seats could have smiled, I smiled encouragingly to try and persuade a smile, but nothing was forthcoming, CONGRATULATIONS to the chef, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Thank you!!

Jasmine was the best bar hostess, she was friendly and welcoming she helped us with the darts board and we had a great time. Great pub with an awesome atmosphere! Pub+ app here is great.

What a wonderful experience I had staying here for a couple of nights. I look forward to coming back. I am so grateful for the allowance of an early check in, it really helped me. I am very impressed with all of the staff’s amazing customer service, the lovely quiet ambience of the rooms, the super comfortable beds and the overall warmth and professionally inviting nature of Kushan, the Manager. I also am thankful to the housekeeping staff - big shoutout goes to Wendy and Kelly. Thanks again guys 🙏

We came a few weeks ago while on holiday in Tas. We were so impressed specifically with the waygu and salmon starters! Super tasty. Our mains were delicious too, but loved seeing a different entrees option in a pub. Beautiful lovely staff and some good decorations for Halloween 😊

Dried up hard scallops tasteless chicken Parma and veggies. Great venue pity food doesn’t match . Such a waste of money. Won’t be back in a hurry.

Decided to stop in here after a busy day to see what their meals are like. It had been years since my last visit and wanted to see how it's held up after all that time. Was greeted by friendly enough staff and the dining area was mostly empty so getting a table was easy enough. The place looked neat and clean. Chose the chicken schnitzel with chips and salad with some mushroom sauce. Had a beer and it came to about $30+ so reasonably priced. The schnitzel seemed a little on the thin side but didn't take away from deliciousness of it and the chips and salad were of good portions so a good meal overall, especially as the dressing on the salad was very tasty. Convenient with all the parking provided. You can also grab a meal at the sports bar and the menu had a few options to choose from.

Best pub in tassie! EASILY!jazz ,Daniel and AJ are possibly the best barstaff in Australia. Customers love them and I will most definitely recommend this establishment to any of my friends.. best experience ever.

Great time, great staff in the sports bar. Great prizes. It was great to not have it so packed that I couldn't move. Tonight I got drinks quickly and got more tickets. Not to mention a seat! I'll be back more if it's like this :) even got some table service from Jazzy. Great vibe from AJ too.

Didn’t like the food . Burger didn’t taste good there was the salad inside the burger the combination wasn’t good .

I just had the most wonderful dining experience at the Carlyle, the lunch menu was phenomenal and the staff were friendly and helpful through our entire experience. It really made my mothers 65th birthday special, will definitely come again and I hope Gemma is still serving !!
