It was so refreshing to have full table service in a light bright relaxing atmosphere. Prices were much the same as other surf clubs but the ambiance was so much quieter and all staff extremely helpful and friendly our table waiter, Fred was exemplary Thank you

Great pub and place to eat with nice views of the beach. Ciara our waitress was lovely and added to the experience. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Highly recommend and will come back!

A Disgraceful Experience – Never Again I had the absolute displeasure of dining at the Tallebudgera Surf Club recently, and it was, without a doubt, one of the worst hospitality experiences I have ever endured. Upon arrival, my friends and I were met with pure hostility from a man named Johnathan, whose condescending stare and dramatic eye-roll made it clear we were not welcome. Apparently, walking in without a reservation was an offense worthy of contempt. When we were finally seated—dumped in a grimy, sweltering corner—it became clear that customer service was not a priority at this establishment. The table was dirty, the atmosphere was suffocating, and the entire experience felt like an afterthought. However, the most disturbing part of our visit wasn’t the lackluster seating or even the dismissive attitude we were met with—it was the blatant mistreatment of staff. Johnathan, in an appalling display of unprofessionalism, berated female employees so aggressively that one was brought to tears. Watching a supposed leader humiliate and intimidate his staff in front of patrons was beyond uncomfortable—it was outright disgusting. No one should have to endure that kind of treatment, and it speaks volumes about the toxic culture being fostered here. Suffice it to say, I will never return to Tallebudgera Surf Club. If you value good service, a welcoming atmosphere, and basic human decency, I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

I just want to put out there that I’m not usually one to write a review but this staff members attitude was appalling. My partner and I sat down at a table after standing at the front looking for a please wait to be seated sign, after failing to find one we found a table with no reserved sign. A lady then walked over and gave us some table water making it feel as if we did the right thing. Then while my partner was getting menus a middle aged man came over and asked who sat me I said no one did, I wasn’t aware I needed to be seated as I didn’t see a sign. He then proceeded to take my water away and told me I cannot sit there and told me to go back to the front to wait to be seated to which I then after being escorted out of the dining area did I see the please wait to be seated signs in front of the kitchen… not in front of the seating area… weird spot if you ask me. He continued to be rude towards both me and my partner after this but then continued to seat us back at the table we were already sitting at… The rest of the experience was lovely the ladies who served us were lovely I got the pork belly although pretty sure they just gave me a peace of Sunday roast instead of pork belly but oh well was still nice and my partner got a very average parmi. Oh also the middle panel on the window sits right at eyesight which covers your view of the ocean which an ocean view is one of the main reasons you eat at a surfclub. The old section of the surfclub is amazing this is why I don’t want to give any less than 3 stars.

We had a Ladies Lunch yesterday. Our waiter Sebastian was such an amazing young man. He was courteous attentive funny and made our lunch. The food was great. The atmosphere and view was great.

Had dinner with few mates last night. The service was really good, can tell the staff have been well trained and the new menu is amazing. All food was cooked to perfection. Highly reccomend

Lovely place for a family meal

Sarah was amazing - the best food attendant that we have ever had at the Club. I know feedback is important so I would just like to say that when my uncle ordered small dishes due to his food intolerance, it should of been asked if this was to come out with the rest of our mains. As it was not questioned, he was presented his meal about 20 minutes before ours. Our sauces were on the cool side and my Dads Barra was not hot. Just a few areas to think about. We had a nice night and hope we get Sarah again :)

Worst fish tacos we’ve ever had and the smallest size for the price - the chicken palmy was wet and soggy and tasted so yuk!

I was disappointed that our table wasn’t set up when we arrived especially as I had called the day before to update the number of people coming, it was my expectation that booking ahead means the table set up would be ready on arrival.

Everything is good except table service drinks. I’ve eaten there twice for lunch since the re-open and ended up going to the bar myself.

They have done an amazing job renovating the space and the service was excellent. Unfortunately the food was disappointing for the price point.

Second time we have dinned in the new section. 1st time excellent. Service a bit clunky but will get better as team builds cohesion. Recent visit as above, however my wife ordered the chilli prawn linguine which was great. Only disappointed in the amount of olive oil it was floating in. Quite excessive. Look forward to our next visit.

What moron put the window divider bars at eye level when seated in dining area? Beautiful beach view cant be seen thru the window frame

I had takeaway pizza and chips, and the lady who served me was very welcoming and kind. The pizza was delicious too. I’d love to dine in next time if I get the chance.

The worst breakfast ever, paper plates , cheap wood forks and knives , you even cut the bread or bacon and hard eggs Benedict don’t waste your time and money here

Really lovely surf club with a modern feel. The food was really good with quite a large selection to choose from. The only thing was that where we were sitting (on the southern wall) there was no airflow, so it was quite hot.

2nd time since the Reno. First time was pretty ordinary but this time service & food were much better. Nice choice of food, kids menu was great. Really like the space between tables no over crowding. Hoping the menu changes occasionally to keep it interesting.

This Surf Club is very nice. We enjoyed our meals. My husband had the Bourbon Oysters Kilpatrick and said they were beautiful. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend dining at Tallebudgera Surf Club. We also used the courtesy bus for pickup. Excellent.

Overall it was amazing, but, I ordered the blue Diamond steak cooked medium for dinner and it was easily the worst steak I have ever paid for, it was so tough I had difficulty cutting through it and then chewing on it. My old work boots would be easier to cut with a knife. I couldn't eat even half of it and when I let the table staff know I simply got a smile and a shoulder shrug.

The renovations look fantastic, food is better than ever, the pizza style garlic bread is out of this world. Well done and we will definitely be back.

Service was slow although the waitress had a great attitude. Waited 90 minutes for our mains to be served. Drinks arrived about 30 minutes after being ordered 😳

Great service an a wonderful setting. The menu gives plenty of choice and the seafood platter we had was lovely.

The 2 blonde female looking after us were fantastic. 1 girl greeted us and sat us on fabulous table and the other girl served us. The meals we picked were perfect, 4 oysters each, 1 lobster taco each and a barramundi each. It was all really good but the lobster was a little ruined with deep frying as it tasted like popcorn chicken, extremely crunchy and while that was still fine, they were $15 each so $30 worth of lobster that was pretty much unrecognizable. I’m thinking the lobster was a little old and that’s why chef cooked it like that. The taco was great and I think if the few small pieces of lobster tail were fresh, steamed with garlic butter or something like a mornay sauce, that would have been better. I’m from Sydney but will definitely bring my bestie Penny there again in a few months when I visit again. Oh and I almost forgot, the window tables need to be higher or sitting on podium’s as the beautiful view is massively obstructed.

We had a very enjoyable lunch sitting right in front of the large open window the food was delicious and the service we received from Sarah was outstanding.

The place was moderately busy and it’s almost 2pm on a public holiday. Asked for a table for 4 in the half-empty so called restaurant area but couldn’t get one because it was ‘booked out’ which was fine. We were asked to sit at the other side but with a rubbish reduced menu with many items I prefer from the full menu missing. The only difference I can see is you don’t get table service to take your order vs order from the bar/QR code. They could be forgiven if they were short staffed on a public holiday but I still don’t understand why we could only get the reduced menu all year round when the staff bring the food to the table anyway. The fish tacos were basically small fish fingers with a bit of dressing for $18 bucks. Trying hard to be Burleigh Pavilion but forgetting what they are, and that is just another surf club with a view. Very disappointing.

Lovely breezy deck for pre-dinner drinks, and spacious, beautifully appointed restaurant for dinner. The service was great, with friendly and very attentive staff. Food was delicious with both dishes (steak & fish) perfectly cooked. The renovations have created a wonderful airy space, and it is certainly a step above the usual surf club dining experience with full table service and and perfectly presented food. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back soon 😁

We booked the large round table in the window corner, i highly recommend this spot ! The table service was awesome, the food was absolutely delicious and the new look of the restaurant was gorgeous ! We cant wait to come back ☺️

Food arrived late and cold because the ordering app had logged the wrong table. Staff informed me it wasn't meant to log the table number. Please bring back manual ordering until you get the app sorted. Cold fish - not healthy?

I’m going to agree with an earlier post from Kate on everything she said. I’m a long term member and dined in the restaurant for the first time yesterday. Whilst the refurbishment is nice that is where it ends for me. I miss the old Talle and having full access to the menu where ever you sit. Inside the view is blocked by the window architraves at eye level. The food was poor. I had the squid and it was salty dried up pieces of squid, once upon a time it used to be succulent. The salad was drowned in dressing so the lettuce was soggy and you couldn’t eat it. I left hungry and realised after I left I didn’t get asked if I was a member upon paying the bill. Table service limits your ability to get in and out early as you have to wait around for the bill. If I go back it will be for drinks only in the bar area. Really disappointed as I wanted to like it.

Everything was good including the courtesy bus.

This here food is a joke. Anyone saying it's great clearly doesn't get out much or have any standards. Firstly, you can no longer eat a classic pub staple such as a schnitzel or a steak if you are not seated down in the new table service restaurant area, you have to order off a bar snack menu. The bar area and deck is quite large so they're really limiting a lot of people who probably want these types of meals. We had to order off the limited bar snack menu and took the Philly Steak Sandwiches, which were a joke. We thought we had been given the wrong meals. Nobody at our table could finish it. 1. It was not a philly steak it was a BBQ sauced up steak burger with a poor piece of minute steak 2. It had lettuce and tomato on it, was missing the key ingredients which were mentioned on the menu - capsicum, melted cheese, and in a crusty baguette. It was in a burger bun. Even if I did order a steak burger I have had better renditions at a Nippers carnival. We tried to ask a staff member if these were indeed even the correct meal but it fell on deaf ears. We left our meals behind and went and ate elsewhere. Would not recommend. You don't even get the meal you have ordered.

Beautiful meal, chicken schnitzel. My husband’s was a little under done. It was not a problem within minutes replacement meal was on table. Service above 5 stars, atmosphere beautiful. We will be going back. I also had the market fish on another occasion it was amazing. SLC prices however it came out like 5 star restaurant. The service that day was amazing, Sarah our waitress was completely professional and accomodating. Great job guys!

Very average food. Market fish was snapper and so dry / tough that I genuinely thought it was chicken. Came with some nice salad but no chips or sauce. Time to scale it back to standard pub food instead of trying to be fancy. Also, the servers kept approaching us at the bar to order drinks via them as they get “points” (whatever that means) except it took x5 longer to receive our drink. Best to order from the bar. Will note that the bar were weird about me asking for a margarita though? As if they weren’t sure if they could make one or something which I found odd and uncomfortable. Much better surf clubs around.
