Great service from the staff, great atmosphere, and great food. Not only is it our local, but you can order off the menu for takeaways. And the outdoor garden is dog friendly.

Service has really gone down here. There's been a number times in the past couple of months that I've gone in to grab a drink and there is one person serving who is struggling to make a basic cocktail while the other bar staff are having a chat instead of serving the 3 or 4 customers waiting to order. Today I walked up to the counter at the same time as one other customer. The server finished serving the only other person at the bar and took the other customers order, who was at the bar before me. While pouring his drink another customer walks up to the bar and the server immediately takes his order while ignoring me. I turned around and walked out. I think I've walked out 3 of the last 4 times I've gone into this pub because of poor service. This used to be my favourite local. Reply to owner response In the example given, it's ridiculous to suggest the server didn't realise I was next. There was literally one other person at the bar and one server. I could not have been served by someone else. Also this was not an isolated incident. This is the norm in this bar. The response doesn't address any of my issues apart from trying to downplay them. Dropping a further star based on the owners response.

Great special board and bar staff are very accommodating and attentive. Right next to John street light rail stop. I look forward to checking out the beer garden/courtyard.

Fantastic hotel with great food and drinks. Lovely courtyard for relaxing with friends. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Good a excess to cafes and pubs along Harris Street and 10-15 min walk to Darling Harbour. Highly recommended for a couple nights stay. AAA+

Dog Poo This place was really nice once. Had dinner tonight with dogs pooing, weeing and barking next to us while we ate. Absolutely horrible.

We regularly eat at The Terminus. They never fail to deliver a consistently excellent meal and experience. Absolutely brilliant.

Stayed in double room with ensuite. Very clean and good location. Dinner at Terminus restaurant was amazing. Service was also great. Loved the history of the hotel and bar. Would recommend staying and eating at this location.

Thank you Terminus team for helping organise such great day! Our private function for 40 people was held upstairs in the private bar / outdoor deck which continued in the courtyard once function had finished. We look forward to booking our next party with you.

This is the third year, by popular demand, that we have chosen the Terminus as the venue for our club's get together . Communication is fast and polite. Booking is easy, the food is great and the room is ideal for socializing. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely venue upstairs that still retains the feel of a heritage building. Staff were really helpful and accommodating with organising our event. Drinks and food were great!

Staff were great. Over priced beer by alot compared to others in the area. Room we stayed in was terrible. Mould all through the bathroom room, silicone in shower and all vents on bathroom and main room full of dust and not working properly. The bed is like laying on a stone bench. Both my wife and I had terrible sleeps.

Looks like this place needs more people to run the business. I asked for chips to eat as I’m hungry and ricotta donuts as takeaway. After 30 minutes the bartender asks me are you ready to get your takeaway. Who orders chips as takeaway? Pure dumbs. Nice place. Salted chips hard to find in Sydney.

Lovely pub, nice food in a really chill part of Pyrmont. Sitting out the back next to the beautiful natural sandstone wall is a great spot. Well- behaved dogs can also go in the back yard area.

We had a family birthday lunch at Terminus hotel 13 of us. The staff went way and beyond expectations. they were attentive, efficient did the small things that showed they cared about the experience this group was having. I wish I had asked the bar person and food serving person their names as I would have liked to thank them personally for the excellent service. Nice place with good indoor and outdoor spaces. Food comes out quickly and is nicely presented but unfortunately vegans are very poorly catered for.

My husband and I held a small, intimate lunch after we got married at the Pyrmont Registry. From start to finish, the Terminus team were SO helpful in making this afternoon seamless. The service on the day was incredible and the food was 10/10. Can't recommend The Terminus enough for an event.

Great venue to have a tasty pub meal before a show at the Lyric. Great selection of cocktails and good selection of beers. I understand why it has strongmlocal support.

The rooms are small but very clean. Great place to stay a night or 2 if you're busy and just looking for a place to sleep. The shared bathrooms are clean and well looked after. Excellent little spot with a great bar downstairs

We hosted my 50th birthday party at The Terminus and the night exceeded our expectations in every way. The room and terrace (with roof that opens) are spacious, stylish and the team decorated them beautifully with candles. The food was excellent, and the advice from the team on menu and timings were spot on. The service from the events team in the planning, and on the night, were professional, efficient, friendly and attentive. The team provided great advice during planning including recommendations for a musician, Gabriel Parisotto, who was fabulous. I had the best feedback from all my guests on the entire night. I couldn’t fault a thing. This was our second event hosted at The Terminus, and we’ve been guests at others. We will definitely host at the venue again and would highly recommend to anyone else. Thank you to The Terminus team.

I've been eating here for a few years and never been let down by the staff or the food ..the food is amazing (if you consider it a pub) 1kg steak for two and the crispy brussel sprouts and probably the best red wine jus I have tried

Called up to make a dinner reservation, and when I arrived was told there was no booking for me. We ended up still getting a table but the service was very blunt. I got a lemon lime and bitters and a raspberry lemonade for my wife. The raspberry lemonade was fine, however the lemon lime and bitters was bitters and lemonade, and was a quarter foam. The food however, was top teir. Nicest dinner we have had on our trip. All in all, go for the food but not the service.

This is a great venue in a great location. The food is wonderful with a fine selection of wines. Our experience was let down by very poor customer service. The bar staff had awful attitudes and really let the place down.

Modest gastropub that offers all the diverse spaces from main bar, beer garden, terrace and even a tiny balcony. The wooden interiors give off an impression of a homely-feel with traditional fireplaces and the beer garden resembling a private backyard. Nicky, Maddie and the team were extremely helpful in moving our group upstairs on short notice during quiet season - great for those wanting to kick on at The Star a stone's throw away!

Last week I hosted my 60th birthday party at The Terminus for 50 people and it was an absolute fantastic experience! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure all of our needs were met. The ambiance of the venue was stunning, creating the perfect atmosphere for my celebration. Maddie & Nicky were both exceptional, offering great suggestions and ensuring that every detail was taken care of. They were both very accepting of any requests I had. Nothing was an issue. The food and beverages were top-notch, with a wide variety of delicious options that all of our guests loved. I am still getting compliments from my guests about how amazing the food was. The venue itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious, allowing everyone to feel comfortable and have a great time. I received so many compliments from my guests about how wonderful everything was. I highly recommend The Terminus Hotel for any event. You will not be dissapointed. The Terminus Pyrmont is a cool little place, in the heart of a cool little residential neighbourhood, a one-minute walk to light rail, and an easy walk to Darling Harbour and loads of restaurants. The staff is warm and helpful, the room was cozy and clean, and the food at the pub awesome. The only thing was a bit of street noise outside the room, but otherwise we loved our stay. Will stay again!

I celebrated my 30th birthday on the top level of the Terminus. This venue was the perfect location and ticked all the boxes. There were 60 people but the spaxe would easily fit 100 people, with both inside and outside the space was perfectly catered and the staff were incredibly helpfull with everything that i had asked of them. Recommend this venue for anyone looking to hold a function .

This pub is an absolute hidden gem. We held a private event in the upstairs cocktail lounge and deck area. The venue was beautifully set up, service was smooth and friendly and organising everything so easy.

I cannot recommend the staff and the venue more highly. We held a 50th Wedding Anniversary party at Terminus for our parents, organised by siblings who were overseas and interstate during the process. Booking and organising was an easy and painless process, with detailed ample information provided. On the day of the event, every single member of the team was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond our expectations to make the day perfect. The accommodation is comfortable, and the venue itself well laid out and well equipped, with a generally lovely feeling to each space. We chose a grazing table for our event and it was delicious, with generous portions. We also ate dinner at the venue and the meals were great pub fare. Thank you to the whole team at Terminus for a wonderful day - your efforts were truly appreciated!

Great Sunday lunch in the outdoor eating area! Pizetta for starters was delish but probably only needed a flatbread. Roasts were amazing but sadly no apple to accompany the porchetta! Chardi from California was nice but price was ridiculous $90! Would return again but not buy same wine. Probably enjoy a cider at a more reasonable price.

Fantastic venue for hosting your next event! Staff were amazing Wonderful food, great space upstairs, totally separate from the rest of the pub. Spotify your own playlist, add decorations, make the Indoor and Outdoor space your own. Having a separate bar in the space made it easy to add a bar tab for my birthday party. Great wine list too! Plenty of space for dance floor after 10pm with the verandah doors closed. Book out all the rooms so the party can continue to closing. Thankyou for a fantastic venue to host my birthday party, making wonderful memories with all my family & friends.

We loved the Terminus. Very clean facility, comfortable bed and a fantastic pub/restaurant next door. ||There was an issue with hot water during our stay but the staff were very helpful and did their best to make us comfortable. You could hear some street noise from our room but we still slept great all 3 of our nights. ||The location was great for us as we walked around the city and then took public transport back to the Terminus. The bus stopped at the hotel door and the light rail train was a 2 min walk.
