Medium rare steaks over cooked and over priced, not tasty. $24 burger was very small and, you guessed it, over priced. Would rather have had a Macca's burger which tells you how bad it was. Not a place for a good dining experience IMO. Never again.

Gotta give credit to the amazing team at the Epping Hotel. Had my 22nd birthday a couple weeks ago and I could not have asked for a more accomodating service. From the day I booked the room, the staff was well organised, friendly and patient. All my guests had an amazing time and I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. The karaoke Fridays also never miss.

**********Story of EPPING hotel ******** ***SERVED THROWN AWAY FOOD ******* Today I visited the hotel. I ordered spicy potato wedges along with my drink. I was alone on the table , enjoying my drink with potato wedges. Each time I finish my drink , I went back to get another drink from the counter. I repeated three time.counter was free and I got the drink served almost immediately Third time when I came back and sat at the table , I realised my potato wedges are taken away and thrown. When I asked the waitress ,she said she cleared it off and She WENT back and OFFERED me the same THROWN AWAY food !!!!!! I rejected it . She offered me to get me fresh , I said no . Then she offers me refund , I said okay as I was leaving and can’t have it alone the fresh wedges again . Suddenly other lady came back with the thrown away food and She was RUDE and kept the food on my table and asked me take it and said she Can’t refund The fact is I don’t wanted refund but they offered . Mainly the second waitress was so rude and aggressive on her service . Offers me threw away food again to eat. NO SUCH Hotel would do that to any customer. In fact , reaching to hotel manager was nightmare The service is poor and waste. I do not recommend anyone to go there as I visited many time and service is poor

Every time people walk past it always smells like smoke. It’s a community, a public space, and there are a lot of people walking by. Some who don’t smoke and really don’t want to smell second hand smoke. There’s school kids, and elder people. Even though there is a no smoking sign on the front of the property but smoke is still smelt. Yes it is a hotel but could you please make a room for smoking which is away from the public area? I believe this is a nice place but the smoke is really bothering.

Crap expensive food. Who wants to pay $44 for a 300g T-bone? You mean a 150g bone? Place stinks of smoking and that crap pokies freshener walking past. It's concerning they target problem gamblers commuting with the sounds and smells alighting from the train. Reeks of smoke the second you walk in the door. I'm a local been here ten years and I never come here.

The security of this establishment needs to be reviewed by management. I asked a security guard to remove a very drunk person who was harnessing two teenage girls - who keep in mind were looking at me to help them- the security guard went over and asked if the girls were ok in front of the man (of course they said yes because they were scared)and the security guard walked away… 2 minutes later the man was screaming and becoming physically dominating at these girls for 5 minutes with disgusting comments about their body. The security strolled in 3 minutes later and gently asked him to leave - the girls were crying. The lack of care and urgency to remove a dangerous person was disgusting. Do better!!!

The meals were very tasty and the band was brilliant.

Sunday afternoon ordered a double expresso, was told $8.30 and can’t be taken away, I said wow must be really good, alright. It was tasteless, and I think it was from a pod! If you don’t know what you are doing, just say we don’t do coffee, to serve this type of thing and charge $8.30 for it, it’s just robbery. SHAME

The Epping Hotel has changed significantly from its heyday when the nightclub Tracks was first established. The decor and ambience of the pub is now decidedly modern, with a light filled and open air aspect during the daytime. Lunch is standard pub fare, which while tasty, was not served with much haste. I'll be back to try the karaoke Fridays one day soon.

Such a nice place to meet up with your friends since it’s near the station. They have a good selection of draft beers and food is good! Cheers!

Best place to gather together and have a quick refreshing chilled draft beers prior to heading for the dinner. Tap beers were well chilled, icy and tasty to chill out a day after a long day. Happy Hour: 5:30pm - 6:30pm on weekdays applied for all tap beers. Highly recommended

After promptly stopping by in Epping for the first time in years I decided to visit the Epping Hotel with my family as this used to be a tradition. The hotel is adequately decorated and has upheld its charisma and charm over the years. We were served by a young bearded lad who was chirpy and swift at taking our orders. Food was great and will be coming here again. Thanks Epping Hotel!

This waiter named Liam must immediately recieve a raise as he is an absolute GUN WEAPON at serving customers, he was very adament on delivering the best service possible, adhering to my every specific request, serving me the absolute most cracka parmi I've had to this day.

Ordered when it wasn't busy, went back 35min later and was told that the kitchen hadn't received the docket... The staff we're good, but when we finally got the food... It was super disappointing. Chips were nice but the fish was bland and... Wet? Margarita pizza was... well... I've had more flavourful cardboard.

I ordered a schnitzel with chips, salad and mushroom gravy, not only was it VERY average, but it also took 1 hour and 30 minutes to be cooked. I understand that it was a busy night, but 1 hour and 30 minutes is a bit ridiculous.

I am a local in Epping, attended and spent a fair amount of money over the years but for some reason they would not let me in saying that the staff had said not to let anyone else in. I then saw multiple people being allowed in. The Seks and the staff are not on the same page…. Bloke just wants a pint and can’t get one. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!

Not the best of steak meals I’ve eaten for the price. Food was very bland and the steak was full of sinew, the place for drinks and service I can’t fault also conveniently accessible via the metro

Security bar staff and waiters are nice but if you’re hungry DO NOT COME HERE! Where do I start we had a group over 1 hour for bruschetta and 1 hour 12mins for a steak we all got our food at different times when I say different I mean some people had finished plates sitting there for 20mins then food come out ridiculous chefs looked like they were still asleep or in slow motion. Go to the Thai place next food and only go here for drinks.

So disappointing! I've been here before, but my experience of our booking of 20+ people tonight was bloody average. First, we were placed in the back of the venue with insufficient tables and space for the size of our group booking. Why would a group of 20+ want to sit across three different tables? Also, getting to and from our tables was awkward, and I constantly felt like I was invading peoples personal space trying to get to the bar or toilets. Second, a number of people in our group waited over 45 minutes for their meals and were offered no apology or compensation when they followed up about their missing meals. Apparently, the dockets got knocked off a bench, and the order of meals was screwed up. It's great they gave an explanation, but an apology would have been better ... Third, the woman who runs Karaoke only allowed her friends to sing, so putting our names on 'the list' was a waste of time - when we complained, the woman was condescending and uninterested. It was after this that we decided to leave - our patronage was obviously not respected or needed. We decided on this venue for our gathering because of the Karaoke, so to find that only the hosts' friends got to sing was a huge disappointment. So it's not Karaoke, it's Crapaoke! Definitely don't go here if you want your meal in a reasonable time or want to participate in Karaoke. Although the Bar staff were efficient and friendly, our group won't be back and will definitely be telling many people about our experience.

Want to leave some good feedback for the supervisor on duty Jack. After having some issues with our food and not getting very far with speaking to kitchen staff. Jack swooped in to accommodate and amend our experience! Managed to turn a negative and sour night into a much more happier one.

Super convenient location right next to the station. Buzzing on a Friday night, couldn't even get a spot to stand! Must have been happy hour! Anyways came back a bit later when there was less people which made it better. They have an open outdoor area where the smokers be to drink and chat. Could do with more craft beer options. Karaoke downstairs for those who enjoy belting out a tune while drunk!

What a nice place to have a beer, externally looked like a dive, but I decided to drop in have a beer while waiting for my train home, what an awesome place once through the front door I was greated by excellent staff and service, and ample seating lounges and nooks and crannies to sit and enjoy, I will definitely go back again with friends

I am writing this as I wait for my mums meal as the staff member forgot to add it to the bill. Waitresses at the bar are unfriendly and show no smiles what so ever. Now to the meals. The salad isn’t fit for a rabbit starving in the wilderness. Gravy was as if it was taken out of the fridge and the steak had so much gristle that half of it wasn’t edible. The fries you could taste that they were reheated and not fresh. Too expensive for pub grub not good enough for a restaurant. Would definitely take yourself elsewhere. There is a great Japanese and Indian place just down the street.
