Good place for a beer

The staff at the Nugget are always wonderful, nice and have a good sense of humour. Polynesian security guard was good at his job and made us giggle when we got up on a feature. Overall good experience, only reason it’s not a 5 star review is that on our second night there were people shooting up drugs in the women’s restroom. I felt unsafe walking down the hallway towards the bathrooms when I saw 2 men standing outside the female toilets… had to have my fiancé guard the toilet to feel safe. I didn’t tell the security staff as he was on his dinner break and I felt bad. :(

In all ways, the peak of the Melbourne experience, truly, when I'm off work on a Friday night, I feel like a nugget

unfortunately, there is an element of staff members (particularly Indians/sub-continent ).... who project racism and animosity towards the patrons. I saw a lot of unprofessional (unethical conduct towards customers doing nothing wrong..... I myself was a victim of this unhealthy (medieval kind of mentality). I would like the higher management to consider this and train some of these guys , who are constantly cutting corners and subjecting customers to some sort of racial profiling .... this never use to be tolerated before. If someone is doing wrong or they are out of order, understandably they deserve to be informed about their behaviour , but , someone oblivious to what is going on ...... must not be involved in such low grade customer service.

The manager (I assume) had no sense of customer service. My boyfriend had to do a transaction 2 or 3 times because he was having issues with his PIN number, and the manager was not impressed and accused my boyfriend of stealing a credit card. As we were leaving, he was talking to a customer about half of the customers in the room. Not professional at all.

The manager was arrogant and rude. He just accused me of doing something and asked me to leave just because i sat there using my phone for like 20 mins and didn't keep playing and losing money. I tried to communicate but he couldn't even be bothered to talk and seemed to be out of control running away from me. I cant believe hes the manager. How could he manage the whole venue when he couldn't even manage his emotion or... hair.

Me oh my, the golden nugget hotel, what can I say about such a classy cbd establishment, went in here with a sad grin on my face and left a local hero, will never forget the time that Ken suplexed a man over the genghis khan machine after demolishing a cheese toastie, recommend to all my friends and lovers.

Everytime I head to Melbourne this place is my go too. Relatively cheap beers, beautiful snacks. Huge tab facility. We stayed at the Chifley just near it. Then headed to China town for a feed. We'll be back again tonight for round 2 .

I plan on going here tonight after reading some of the reviews I'm worried I won't even get in the door let alone get to play any machines fairly most peoples complaints seem to be centered around management unsure how many managers there are but if I owned the place id be straight onto the management team and sort out the power hungry guy/ girl when people complain about management its more than likely the same person everyone complains about I'll update my review after tonight edit the staff where friendly and didn't bother me altho i did notice that when ever someone won over 1000$ either a staff member or security would rush to them i witnessed one of them begin pressing buttons for the winner i assumed in an attempt to hit the gamble button mabey???

Not bad if you're on the punt

Nice venue to have a quiet beer and a punt. The only drawback with this venue is that there is no Bistro, they should serve light Asian dishes such as Dim Sims and other Asian cuisine because of the other restaurants nearby.
