Food was excellent and the brisket was authentic, some issues with our docket not being given to kitchen. staff were good and corrected this before we had to bring it to their attention, they communicated this issue with us which was appreciated

Hit and miss on food quality. Had some awesome meals and some terrible one.

We were having a great time with friends at a birthday party. We had our fur babies in the car as we couldn't leave them in the caravan. We and other guest checked every 10 minutes, and they were taken out for walks. During the speeches, a server arrived at the table yelling for the owners of the dogs. We left to check to find people. Worried about our dogs, we were explaining the situation which the people understood. The server wouldn't let use near the other people called security and told us to leave. This in effect, destroyed the party and the birthday recipient was very upset. We had spoken to the person behide the bar about the dogs. She agreed at what we had organised. Water was there, food and cold blanket. It was sad that after a wonderful meal the night was spoiled by a person who thought he had power.

We arrived quite late one Friday evening, and our meal orders were one of the last of a busy nights. A very intuitive waitress noticed we hadn't received our orders and promptly followed them up. And very nicely organised a round of free drinks.

I haven’t been to the gully in a decade and was really looking forward to coming here for our friends birthday. The food was ok at best. Paying $48 for a surf and turf where the meat is overcooked and you only get 3 prawns is pretty pathetic. I hoped and expected a better outcome but it wasn’t good. I feel like we wasted a lot of money for a lacklustre meal. Won’t be returning. Avoid this place unless you want to be ripped off.

My husband had his work Christmas party here a few weeks ago and food was average. The location that they seated us was not ideal for a large group. This affected the atmosphere and made it extremely difficult to enjoy.

Arrived at the Garden bistro and no one there to greet you and advise you were you were sitting. We had to track somebody down just to find our table. I ordered the gnocchi Which should be Taken off the menu, the portion was small For the price and all it looked like was a few bits of potato and some vegetables very disappointing.

Food was great, decently priced, and the staff were all fantastic.

At Christmas you expect crowds, and when there are 4 parties of at least 30 each booked in for weekday lunch you assume the facility has the resources to cope, otherwise cap your seatings (plus they have a beer garden and bar to manage...I think they've over extended themselves). 95 minutes after ordering food, one person in our party of 31 received their salad meal. Appetizers were delivered after the mains. The last person in our party to get their meal waited 105 minutes. The roast meats were served in slabs instead of slices, very unappealing to the eye. The salad bowls were mostly lettuce. Don't order cocktails - they took over 30min to be delivered to the table. Never going back.

The food and cocktails were lovely. There are a few different areas to sit and have a meal which is great. My friend and I sat in one of the bars which was comfortable.

Surf and turf left more to be desired.

Lovely atmosphere, terrible service. We had pre-booked an indoor table, but were seated outdoors. It was much too warm outside (I have a heart condition), and the walk back to the indoor area was significant. This should never have been an issue as we had specifically booked to sit inside and noted my mobility issues. This visit cause unnecessary stress on my body and I was feeling unwell afterwards. We did also find a hair in our pizza. The kitchen did remake the pizza, but it did add to the terrible experience.

Had a beef snitzel that was so overcooked and hard .

A great local with consistency good food and good beer. The real fire is a real treat!

Have been here plenty of times but today didnt seem like it was the same place.Ordered batted fish and chips,was not good Salad was limp fish had no taste and dry. Could not fault the service .

Always love coming here, food is always amazing so are the staff. Vegan options where amazing as well which suits if you're lactose intolerant. Was nice being able to eat a meal and not feel sick afterwards.

The Gully is a northern South Aussie icon. Standing the test of time from my childhood memories to my shattered adulthood present. I used to come here for family dinners full of excitement over a delicious dinner and I still come here for booze sessions full of excitement over a delicious alcoholic beverage with mates. Its a fantastic setting ranging from sports bar, retro family dining, amazing multi-level beer garden with sports screen and a winter getaway esque bistro/bar thingy. The staff are always friendly and the seating is comfy. The Gully is my go to for tasty food or for poisoning my body with deliciously dehydrating alcoholic drinks 🤤

First time going and I loved the atmosphere because it's giving cozy yet beautiful vibes. Food was good but could be better. Server were polite and nice.

Dropped by to have lunch with the wife on a Friday late morning/afternoon. We were a bit early, arrived at around 11.40am, but just a note, the kitchen only opens at 12pm! The lovely staffed still seated us, and helped us with beverages first. We placed our food orders earlier, and were quite surprised that our food came by 12.04pm. The burger was pretty good, would recommend!

We ate here tonight and food was an hour late, steak not cook to well done, pork raw and salmon raw. Snitzel was tough and chewy. We were promised free desserts to compensate late food etc and then they came back and said they have no more desserts and if we want a free drink. There was also a possum running around the top of the roof. I would not go back or recommend. We were a group of 8 From MHKP

Had dinner in the bistro as we normally do, however going for a wander, l stumbled into the Dr/Mr Jones bar or something like that. Anyhoo, it was another world. Mood lighting, open fire, armchairs, barista coffee. How have l been eating here for years and never knew this existed. Booths even, next time we are eating here for sure.

If you heard of Hanging Gardens of Babylon, you will find it there ... lovely place . The food is great, but the service was slow. Maybe we came on a public holiday 🤔. We spent a lovely afternoon

Arrived at 12:40 and the food didn’t arrive until 1.50pm. Way too long to wait with kids considering their food arrived at 1.05pm. We weren’t the only table waiting. Seemed to be short staffed in the kitchen. Food average. Wouldn’t return.

Nice place. Relaxed, good food, nice people. One of our go to pubs. Recommended. There is a revised menu from May 2023 with some more choices and more vegan and gluten free options.

Bloody awesome food, the pork crackling entree is to die for 🙌 The porterhouse steak size was actually really small for the price, but nonetheless it was cooked perfectly. Really good chips and I enjoyed the veg. All the entrees were beautiful, even the ones I'm normally not too keen to eat. The atmosphere was great, I love the different levels and greenery throughout the place!

Haven't been to the hotel to eat for a couple of years and wow what an improvement. 7 of us had the most beautiful meals in Mr Jones Bar. Staff were all very friendly and very knowledgeable on menu etc. Kristy the manager even put a sign on our table wishing my husband a Happy Birthday. Will definitely become regulars again now. Also made it very easy for mum in a wheelchair with the lift and ramp access.

I come here quite often, almost weekly, and have always left very satisfied. The menu includes your pub classics, but also has meals that you couldn't get at any other pubs. Love the freshness of all the meals from entree to dessert, you can't go wrong!

Nice lamb yiros pizza, although not the most well presented. Roast pork with veggies was just ok. Very thick slice of pork made it seem chewy, even though it was tender. Weird unpeeled whole baby carrots were a bit hard. Potatoes were ok. could have been crisper. Apple sauce tasted off.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was lovely, but unfortunately, our food arrived almost cold. The chips tasted like they had been sitting for quite a while, and while the schnitzels weren’t bad, they didn’t feel fresh. The Diane gravy also wasn’t to our liking. It was disappointing, especially as we usually have a great experience at The Gully!

What an absolute hidden gem. Beautiful layout, excellent food, and very friendly staff. I highly recommend the laksa. I was a but unsure about ordering a laksa at a pub, but any uncertainty was put to rest. Possibly the best laksa I've ever had.

Visited again, this time for Fathers Day lunch. As always, and without fail, the meals were delicious, prepared and delivered quickly, and presented very well. Will definitely continue to keep the GullyPublic House on my preferred venues lists.

I got the crumbed Halloumi bowl which was excellent. Other people also spoke highly of the Schnitzels and the Tuscan Chicken Breast.

The outdoor dining area is quite cool, food is ok.
