I've been staying at the discovery Park next door and have eaten many dinners here over the last 3 months. Not once have I had an issue or bad meal. Service is always lovely, smiley and ready to help. Food is top notch pub grub, parmi, steak, pasta, burgers, specials. You name it and I've probably had it and it's been fantastic. Not many pubs this consistant these days.

Great food today, seafood very good. Very nice salad and great chips. Great beef party. Good atmosphere, good service( bar a bit slow) but it was busy. Looking forward to our next visit. Very clean.

Food overpriced

I only used the accommodation here, very clean and spatious one bedroom appartment. Everything in it: washing machine, dryer and cook facilities. 20mins from CBD. Perfect for a stop over and only 20mims from Hobart Intern Airport. You will need a car as there are no shops nearby. It comes with a bar/cafe which I didnt try. Would recommend.

Food was below average and the servings were on the small side. Kids burger was a slider with 9 chips on the side and the bun wasn't cooked properly. Only soft drinks are included in the kids meal deal so I had to pay extra for an apple juice for my 8 year old son. My request to have the juice included in place of the icecream was declined. Waitress told me the bangers and mash servings were large and came with three sausages. Our servings were small, only had two sausages and the quality of the pork wasn't great. Appartment was clean with good sized beds and self-contained. This was, by far, the best thing about the hotel. Situated near high tension wires and on the wrong side of the Derwent River so location is not ideal - particularly if there is an accident on either of the two crossing points to Hobart city.

Great location, easy access and good parking. My meal was great 👍- Scotch fillet cooked perfectly with chips and salad, all good. However, my wife's order was muddled up and when they did deliver the correct meal - after I had finished- it was cold. So, not impressed. To their credit, they did provide a bevy as compensation and apologized. Room for improvement 🤔. We may not return.

The meal was very enjoyable. Nothing quite like a great Tassie Pub meal. The staff were amazing - helpful, friendly and just exactly what you would expect and some more.

I personally liked my meal and had no problems. I got the chicken parmi, and the size of it was decent for the price. The staff was friendly and the venue was nice. There was unfortunately someone whose meal was missed. Others had finished eating and their meal hadn't arrived. Once it was brought to the kitchens' attention, they done their best to get it out asap and were very apologetic. I would go here again, as I very much enjoyed my meal, and the staff were good about fixing the mistake.

Food was brilliant. I didn't stay here so I can't comment in accommodation.

Staff friendly and efficient, and service was quick. Very relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the crispy pork belly with veggies and I would have to say it is the best I’ve ever had. Very crisp and the meat just melted in your mouth. Amazing. Followed it up with a very delicious crème brûlée Thank you so much. Will definitely be coming back here next time in over.

Didn't go much on our meals esp for Price

Ordered rare steaks, they were well done. Chips were cold. Some servers were lovely, others seemed they didn't want to deal with people in general. For the price of everything, I though the food and service would have been a bit better.

Had lunch. Large serves but very average food. We ordered small fish and chips and small lemon pepper squid and chips. Both came with the usual 'salad' and both were $18. Obviously both were straight from the freezer, as expected. Unfortunately the squid had no flavour, apart from flour. Needed lots of lemon and salt to get any taste at all, left most of it on the plate. Chips were pretty good and crunchy. Fish was ok. No hurry to go back.

Went for Sunday dinner. Underwhelmed with the vegetable selection. Roasted vegetables would have been much better.

Food was over priced, veggies were cold, looked like they had been re served, a 8 dollar bowl of chips, that a seagull could eat in 30 seconds, staff said they had been quiet! Now I can see why, do yourselves a favour and give it a miss.

Service was beyond poor, staff acting like they wanted to be anywhere else, one woman in particular was extremely rude. Beer garden was dull, no music, nothing on the tv, poor and uncomfortable seating arrangements, no smoking allowed... but we had to stay out there, in the wind/rain (with a 6month old baby) because we wasn't allowed anywhere else in the venue with children. We finished our drink and left. We will NOT be returning.

The food was dry and late coming. The meal was advertised as GF. But arrived without gravy and took another 45 minutes to arrive. Would not recommend this venue to my worst enemy.

Quiet location self check in neat and tidy . All the mod cons washer dryer oven ect home away from home. We stay regularly here ticks all the boxes for us

Fantastic feed and great service

The rooms contain everything you need for a work trip, a full kitchen, seating area, comfortable bed. |The outdoor area is very small, though I did not use.|Glass entry door was a little strange.|Rooms are adjacent to a hotel, though not noisy which is great.|The hotel is away from the main shopping area, and a little expensive. This hotel covered all my needs during my stay, and I returned for a second stay.|I cannot comment on the food from the hotet, as I did not eat from there.

Food was OK. Heaps off parking , good play area for kids.

We were at the hotel on 30/5/2023 how can you stuf up a schnitzel it was so dry and the salad was old the letuce was wiltered the tomato was slimy the coleslaw had a film of skin over it, it was not fresh we sent it back for a nother one and got nothing, so for lunch that cost $20 we got a 15 chips the rest was uneatable, we wernt the only ones to conplain there was about 30 of use and every one sent salad back and got no fresh salad so any one that had salad got nothing. The staff were not the happiest on one smiled i think it was a inconvenience use being there staf we not very happy. Not one staff member asked how the food was, your chef is very slap happy not good on you part.

Needs a More varied Meal Menu

What a disappointment no service and no respect for local customers, should be ashamed of themselves minus 3 star's pathetic

Nice clean rooms, very simple. Convenient location. Next to a pub/restaurant. It looks like a toilet block from the outside, but nice inside. Only downside was the small milks in the fridge were 6 months past their best before date and curdled.

We have been visiting the Hotel and enjoyed many a nice meal with good friendly service. However, after spending quite a large amount on meals and drinks ($185) one of the kitchen staff abused one of our family members for asking for a 'free' gravy pot, worth about 20c, by asking at the kitchen area instead of the bar area. Our family guest was collecting these for other members, very embarrassing and poor representation of this facility. We are certainly rethinking visiting again. I spoke to the duty manager at the time but i have no confidence in his apology.

Mum went with an older group today . Several had the lamb roast of the day for $26. Boot leather meat taken home for the dog. Appalling.

Gave these guys a second chance after a bad experience the first time. Disgusting food and almost worse customer service. Do not waste your money here.

We have patronised this establishment quite often and been always satisfied. Unfortunately they have introduced a new menu and although the selection is quite extensive, the meal I had was disappointing. The lamb shanks were “swimming” in gravy and the presentation was “messy”. Our group had a variety of meals and there were no positive comments. This is unfortunate as the hotel did serve good meals, maybe the chef has been changed? ||On a positive note, the new wine selection is superior to the previous offering and compared with other establishments is very competitive.||Maybe we will try the hotel once more to ensure this was a one-off.|

Food was just so-so this visit. May be a one-off because it's been great in the past.

Staff very helpful as we moved table due to aircon above. Meals huge! Plenty of space. Children friendly! Soup came cold but reheated ASAP.

Just another hobart pub trying to be something they are not... apparently a beetroot and onion salad is just $3 leafy mix with beetroot and onion added 😂🤣😂 squid not calamari... ordered a meal with slaw as I don't really eat lettuce based salad apparently coleslaw features tomato these days? OK then... just another thing ruined by stupidity... chips come out with some random unadvertised seasoning leading to allergy issues... Try presenting a meal to match the menu... Entree s'n'p squid states it come with a slaw and aioli so one would expect that's how it would arrive but no not at all...

Had dinner last night, ordered the pork belly, it arrived at the table as a dry over cooked lump of what resembled meat. I've had biltong that was not as hard as this. The vegetables were great, but for $30 I expected better quality. Staff were great, venue was great.

Spacious apartment with a little lovely courtyard. It was unmaned check in and check out with easy to follow instructions. The apartment was clean and well equiped also the car space has apartment number on the ground. 15-20 minutes drive to the city centre / Richmond / Airport. We enjoyed our stay.
