Some staff aren’t very friendly but a couple are and are also very helpful

We stopped in for some drinks after lunch and were impressed by the relaxed atmosphere and terrific service. Andrew, the bar staff and security are all friendly and the choice of beers on tap is great too. Great location for a meal as well (try the chips!) or on your way through.

I was asked to leave within 10 minutes of arriving. The place was quiet, empty. I was live-streaming on TikTok, and I've seen others complain about being denied entry as well, likely due to one security staff member. Went to a xmas party here in the back courtyard. Most of the finger food we had was okay. The lamb skewer was good, but the mini pies were dry. Bar staff was fantastic and friendly. Drinks were reasonable priced, but they cut us off at 11pm.

I hosted our company Christmas party at Collector Hotel, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience! From start to finish, the team made everything so easy and enjoyable. He went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and that we had everything we needed. His friendly, professional approach made the whole event stress-free and memorable. It’s rare to find such dedicated and thoughtful service, and Andrew truly made the night special for us. Thank you to the entire team at Collector Hotel for helping us create such a fantastic event. Thanks for ruining a great night. Your over zealous security guard refused a party of 8 service after we had previously visited the pub prior to a dinner reservation. There was no observation to determine if we were intoxicated it was just a blanket no service even of soft drinks. We will never visit again. I really don’t know if you can afford to turn away paying customers as it was pretty dead on a Saturday night. Staff really don’t look like they want to work.

Had my Facebook social groups Christmas party here, second year in a row and these ladies and gents are just amazing. Juvy, Tanisha, Aliyah and Anne gave brilliant service on the night and in the lead up, Ben and Andrew navigated the booking for me. The bistro food was on point as it always is and just the general hotel atmosphere was brilliant. The owners of this establishment should be very proud of all of the staff. The Collector Hotel hosted a 50th birthday for us. The staff were absolutely amazing, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. A special thanks to Margret who was so accomodating and made our celebration beyond perfect.

Always have a great time here at the collector. The food here is pretty good with the usual pub staples. The prices are about average and maybe a touch on the expensive side for pub grub. The chips are really crispy, the steak depending on the night is there abouts spot on on how you want it cooked, I also enjoy the nachos to share. The bartenders are friendly and helpful. And there is adequate seating both inside and outside. They also hold evening events with a regular trivia night on Thursdays which is a lot of fun.

The food was excellent and there was so much of it. The pub has an old world feel but it is a newish built place. Friendly staff.

Cesar salad looks like it was made yesterday? Forgot to add the chicken we asked for. Anchovies not for everyone, but not even offered as an option here. Spicy beef rigatoni was best option.

Went here at 1am. Was staying at the Meriton Hotel down the road, couldn't sleep. Security was friendly, professional. Bartender the same. Absolutely no complaints.

Dreadful heavy handed security kicking us out of the pokie room because they heard somebody say something to staff. Would never ever step foot in this place again. Ruined everybodys night. There are plenty of pubs to visit in Parramatta and this isn't one of them.

VERY disappointed. Headed here for a few drinks after having dinner for my birthday and before I had even made it to the top of the stairs at the entrance, the security guard informed my friends and I that we wouldn’t be allowed in due to “intoxication”???? We had had a few drinks with dinner and by no means appeared intoxicated but were not even given a chance. The venue also appeared empty from the street so not sure why the security guards are trying to prevent them from making revenue. We were happily let in at another venue down the street though were excited for somewhere with a DJ. Poor form. No wonder no one goes out drinking in Sydney. Ruined my birthday night.

What a great place, staying at Meriton for the weekend to watch Eels v Roosters on Saturday night so Friday night we thought we would try here for dinner. Music pumping upon entry and some great tunes too mind you... Our meals were exceptional, Parmi and a 300g Rump cooked to perfection and parmi succulent and delicious with great chips and salad. Staff very friendly and welcoming so will definitely be back here for a feed when in Parramatta next for the footy... Cheers Collector Hotel 🥩 👌🥃

The staffs especially in the pokies area deserves 5 stars. Very friendly and make people feels welcome and comfortable. My wife loves going there.

Not recommended… my family came here for nice dinner and got dry scotch fillet steak that you could not cut through also had off beans on the side, brown eggs not cooked properly, off lamb shanks, a meat with a napkin not under the pie but IN THE PIE. then to top it all off ordered a certain meal got a completely different one and then was told I was lying when asking for my correct order on a positive note the snitzel was okay except for the cold chips

Friendly service and cold beer. However the piped music is too loud and horrid!

Serving staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing an interesting beer. Had a decent canned stout. We did not eat there so can’t comment on the food. It seems most pubs in Parramatta have become mini casinos with little architectural charm. The Collector is also modernised but the standard seemed higher than the three other pubs in Parramatta I visited that day. We had a good visit.

Friday 22 March 2024 at 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm with Exotic Trio to start the weekend. @exotik.djs headed by Mr Camilo Parra who plays multiple instruments - saxophone, flute, guitar, piano as well as a dj himself has a team of musicians and artist who goes around sydney as well as Australia. Can do private functions like weddings, birthdays, company party and the like. It was a great experience to listened to a live band at the said venue. Pretty quiet, clean, and the food is decent (nice chips). They have mid week trivia and poker but should add karaoke to the mix. The staff are really nice and helpful.
