Great friendly staff, decent priced drinks. Cheap bar meals which were cooked to perfection. Big meal portions and overall great atmosphere!

Worst pub out rude staff

Tried this tavern out and was very amazed. The seafood chowder and ss pork were both very nice. The service was excellent. Good prices. Great value for money very busy so book.

Food was average at best and only having 2 staff taking lunch orders and serving drinks made orders very slow and frustrating.

I and 3 other rescuers saved an Echidna from certain death. In a box, waiting for Parks & Wildlife to relocate somewhere safe. I have read that you shouldn't relocate due to young being left to die but this was a no win situation due to traffic in this area. The gentleman in the Thirsty Camel bottle shop provided the box and will call Bonorong to pickup.

If you want a proper meal, great tasting and generous portions l recommend having a meal here in Tasmania. Everything on the plate was delicious. Lamb cutlets, vegetables gravy etc. A dish fit for a king. Friendly staff and local s.

Suburban pub catering to locals with gambling. Adequate but nothing special. Staff friendly.

2nd rate food! Slow sevice! Dont get the lunch special, they treat you different than if you ordered a normal meal! Parmigana was dry thin overcooked and old cold chips thrown under snitzel! Didnt get our orders correct, 2 out of four were wrong! Sarah just made excuses for their unprofessional service! Wouldnt recomend!

Wow! Went for dinner, tried the special of Chorizo & Prawn Pasta $30. Food - Fresh, quick, hot, Super Delicious! Massive serving with no less than 13 big prawns and what seemed like a whole chorizo! In spaghetti pasta with a beautiful garlic and spice oil dressing (still tasting the garlic 😜) I eat big meals, this busted me. Had to take half home in a container that still looked like a full meal! Service - All the ladies at the bar were amazing, smiling, friendly and helpful to all Great meal, going to eat the other half now 😊 (Didn’t get pics)

Best meals in the week we’ve been in Tassie. Great food, great staff, friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend you stop here for a meal.

Food was great but the wrong table number made it slow and cold (roast with gravy ) no utensils on the table asked but was told it was finger food Hade to personally steel some off another table

Wow! It's been a few years since my last visit and so worth the beautiful drive to Midway Point. We ate in the pub area. Fun and smiles in a small country vibe. 8ball table in the public lounge and super friendly staff. I'd go back in a second. The menu is great, wonderful selection. I had a seafood platter and my friend had the snags, chips and egg. Can't wait to go back and maybe next time win my 8ball game. I felt like I was on a holiday. Go Midway! Didn't get pics as I was too busy stuffing my face! 😆😀

My Husband and I have been customers of the Midway Tavern for a long time. Unfortunately we will now now longer Return here due to the Rude Staff member who was too busy Scrolling on her phone to serve us at the counter while wanting to book in for a meal. We waited at the counter for 5 min ...the place was empty so staff were not busy, the staff member looked up at us then picked up her phone and began Scrolling totally ignoring us......we walked out. I then called from the car to discuss the matter to be told the kitchen didn't open till 5.30 we were there at 5.20.....what is wrong with a bit of customer service advising us that meals don't start till 5.30 and offer a drink.....which we would have been happy to wait and have a drink but instead ignored and treated rudely on the phone also (which I sure was the phone scroller on the phone) A customer of 10+ years lost Well done Midway tavern 😡

Nothing has changed since our last visit, lamb was ok broccollini was hard as rock and small piece of potato with 2 slices of corn is not my idea of roast very disappointing 😝

Super pricing with some meals were under $15

Just like a shout out to Josh A friend from NSW rang the tavern and ordered a case of wine for us at Xmas Josh rang us but we were out and he kindly went out of his way to drop off at our house 🙂we love the Midway tavern . Our family has spent many nights at the bistro Great food every time Having a birthday dinner tomorrow night at the tavern tomorrow night 😀

Staff were absolutely amazing, food was great, beer was ice cold. Wish I could bring you guys to Queensland!

Steak and veggies absolutely great

Happy to report our latest visit was much better. Prompt service, varied Menu including a very tasty vegetarian Gnochi. Generous serves and still reasonably priced.

Love fish and chips salad,nice tasty gravy, tartar sauce with a cold glass of orange juice.clean cool environment. Enough parking

Lovely lamb cutlets!

Food and portions were great and staff were extremely kind. I got the chicken burger which was slightly bigger than i expected but great nonetheless.

Just had the best charcoal grilled steak sandwich and fries I can ever recall. All for $10 👍👍

This is for EATZA PIZZA, located in the rear parking area of the Midway Point Tavern. These pizzas are without doubt some of the best I have eaten, it’s on par with any pizza store in Tassie, if not Australia, fresh ingredients, delicious combinations, do yourself a favour and check them out! Well worth the money I believe they operate Wednesday to Sunday 5pm - 8pm, just order early to save time If you’ve got a bit of a wait, you can always head inside the tavern to keep warm, maybe grab something to drink to enjoy with the pizza!

Rude management

First time visit for lunch. Barmaid taking orders was over the top bubbly and friendly but ditsy, kept forgetting what she was doing! She told us to take a seat in the second room which was beginning to be set up for a function that night. Waitress quite rude and told us we shouldn't be in there but allowed us to stay as there was no other tables (noted she didn't say anything to others that followed us in there). We weren't expecting too much at this stage but the meals made up for everything! Absolutely wonderful scallops, huge REAL salad and crispy well cooked chips. Definitely will give it another go, maybe staff just having a rough day.

Great place to eat, meal was awesome.

Staff were pleasant however meal left a lot to be desired. This was the 1st time I've eaten here, so disappointing. I had the 200g Rump Steak with chips & salad $18 at lunch time with a group. Steak was tough & salad was not usual healthy green salad, it was coleslaw covered in dressing.

What this place lacks in atmosphere it makes up for with good pub grub, in generous portions at fair value.

Boring coleslaw on offer for months. $9 piece of pavlova came with yuk tinned fruit, rip off. Very ordinary. Veg. were tough and tasteless. Only good thing here was a rare appearance of potato salad. If you can't bother changing up the side salads, why should we bother coming.

Food was fantastic. A little slow. Staff were good and attended to the few issues we encountered promptly.
