After a working day it’s a pleasure to dine at the Northern Tavern ! Grilled Salmon and porterhouse are A1 , Mark and the friendly staff are a breath of fresh air !

A hidden gem with amazing food, must-try schnitzel! The chef is a great guy who takes care of your meals. Staffs are friendly, too.

Music was alternative, included swearing. I’ve heard bar staff swearing and loudly talking about their private life. If you raise any dissatisfaction about the language or music, they’ll rudely smirk like they have zero care factor. Not my sort of venue, I won’t be back.

They are opened which is good. Cosy atmosphere. Good food. Very nice pepper sauce. Nice and quiet. Good spot. Having issues with internet while attempting to call them before leaving Thorndon Park. I have noticed one of the toilets possibly had a crack on one of the seats in the men’s restroom. The Veggie patties are good as I enjoyed them however they could have included a sauce for the chips and the patties which was missing even though it was not displayed on the menu. It is quiet inside this venue and sadly not open on weekends and public holidays to serve meals because I have found out they did not show Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays on their webpage only Monday to Friday which is odd. Good value. There is multiple viewing screens one showcasing the 2024 Summer Olympics occurring in Paris as a female participant performing gymnastics on a beam and two were wall mounted on the corners - one viewing Ten Peach Comedy and one displaying Keno. Also there are 4 or 5 television screens in the sports bar. This institution is situated on the south east corner of Main North and Regency Roads and located within the Regency Plaza Shopping Centre also next door to Lincraft and not far from the bus stop on Regency Road.

The staff are very funny and humorous in their excellent customer service and subsequent jobs I have held in the hospitality industry. I always think to when I go drinking at the northern Tavern and I get treated with a lot of respect and dignity from the staffthat they hold a benchmark place altogether five out of 5

Must try the meals, I reckon I am going to put on a kilo or 5 just because they are absolutely scrumptious. Northern Tavern has Restaurant Quality Food, TAB, most importantly KENO, Happy Hour, Bottle Shop for a Roadie, and Gaming Pokies. The Food is always good mate!...""

Meals were affordable and perfect portions. The chef was extremely accommodating to food allergies and went out of his way to ensure that you were looked after.

Have been going there for several years- Friendly and humourous staff and Chef's meals are served with passion with that home style" feel not the trash that one would typically find at a pokies based pub- don't be deceived by the look. Just had one of the best burgers there - hats off chef! Staff lovely and chef came out to answer my multitude of questions about menu, seeing as I’m here for a few days. I’m travelling alone for work, staying at a motel nearby, but felt very comfortable there. I will be back! As a follow up had dinner there the next 2 nights. Thursday was schnitzel special and had the Swiss cheese and mushroom 🥰. Dinner tonight was chicken Maryland, roast potatoes and steamed veggies - can’t tell you how good it was. Chef Mark is a legend!!

Lovely friendly place to lunch. Steven at the bar was a delight. Great manners, funny, and awesome service. While eating the chef came out to check if we were happy with the meals. Good $ value food. Who could ask for anything more?

This is a place in my opinion for gambling - be it TAB, pokies or Sportsbet. It was described to me by the lovely bar staff as a gambling hotel. Not a place I would recommend taking your family for a meal.

The staff were friendly and helpful, atmosphere was ok for the night.

I would like to give this place a 5 star rating but I haven't had the experience of dining in, and have only used the gaming area which the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Don't mind this little/medium hotel, staff are quiet lovely and the pokies aren't to bad either

One of the most amazing chefs around Adelaide, certainly worth a visit for a delicious meal.

Just want to say thanks to the team after a slot machine error. They were really approachable. Understood it was the machines fault. Helped make us comfortable and still went to the effort of transferring the money instead of making my friends and I travel back the next day. Lovely staff, nice venue.

I haven't been in there for several years ( wt# ) happened to place ? Beer was cold , so were the staff , not much of a selection of anything to drink OR eat . ( like no meal on a Saturday night ) All about the Pokies obviously , not that i play them much i put in $5.00 pressed twice , it made a funny noise , i was sure what had happened & how to play the game so i hit the collect button and the machine gave me a piece of paper , i could work that out either so i took it to the cashier he gave me $220.00 and i went back to the bar , there called last drink's ( wt# ) it was 7pm.

As expected! Not over the top.. just a warm solid pub meal.
