Terrible customer service. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. Feel like I've been ripped off and discriminated against by the staff after spending a large amount of money. After stepping out of the bathrooms, i run into the security (large African male), who informs me about their unwritten rule of 10min max in toilets and asks me to leave. Reasoning behind this was because the public toilets across the road had a 10min limit, this should apparently be standard practice and no signage was necessary. Thinking this was a bit ridiculous, I ask to speak to the manager who didn't want anything to do with it and another staff member decided to jump in for her and advise they are unable to over rule this decision and that was the end of it. I was definitely not acting inappropriately, nor was I being rude or aggressive even during this interaction. I had no alcohol so I couldn't understand why I was asked to leave for something so petty. Bathrooms were not busy and I wasn't holding anyone up during the time either. I don't believe I need to explain why I was using the bathroom for the amount of time I had (which was not at all inappropriate), and felt picked on and embarrassed having this done infront of everyone in the venue. After recently being involved in an accident and only being able to use 1 arm currently, it does take me a while longer which is difficult enough, without having to worry about being stalked while using a bathroom. My fiends and I frequently went to this venue and spent over $1000 on their pokies machines in one sitting. I feel ripped off as this was the case this tim3 as well, and I never received an opportunity to win my money baxk from the machine due to this. Definitely telling everyone I know to avoid this place moving forward. Thanks.

Quiet place to have a flutter on the Pokies just remember to set your limits and make sure you have fun with your funds

I recently visited this pub and was charged $4.50 for a coffee, while other customers, who were not regulars like myself, received theirs for free. This isn’t about the price itself, but rather the discriminatory practice of charging some customers while others are given free coffee without any clear reason. While businesses have the right to set their own prices, these practices should be communicated transparently to all customers to avoid confusion and ensure everyone is treated equally. It’s frustrating and unfair to see such inconsistency, especially when I’m a regular patron. When I raised the issue with the manager, I was met with excuses and a rude, unprofessional attitude. Rather than offering an explanation or trying to resolve the matter, she arrogantly stated that she could do whatever she wanted because “she’s the boss.” The audacity! This experience felt discriminatory and unjust. I strongly believe that all customers should be treated equally, and it’s incredibly disheartening to be singled out in this way. Additionally, the toilets have been out of order for at least two years and are often in a deplorable state, frequently unflushed, clogged, and smelly. The change machine is another ongoing issue, often malfunctioning and difficult to use. This pub really needs to rethink its approach to customer service, fairness, and basic facilities. It’s time for a change to ensure that every patron is treated with respect and given the same level of service!!! PS: Jack makes by far the best coffee.

We went for a walk and stopped by for a play on the machines. Got nostalgic.

Is a small outlet for jackpots, could put more machines would be great. Service wise no complaints but top notch:) staff is friendly and ambience is safe and players all is friendly. Have a sofa area for chill and smoking outdoor area for smokers. 1 thing that isn't so pleased is not the staff, but saw 2 different couples(from Indian nationality, not racism) taking free drinks from counter and occupying the machine seats and behaving intimately with lots of smooching yet doesn't play at all! Please don't spolit players moods with all these unnecessary behaviours in such place. Otherwise, is a pleasant experience. Would definitely visit again if we travel back again.

Only relating to pokies section - There can be addicts/homeless crowd at times. One free drink per player seems ridiculous when every other pokies offers unlimited complimentary drinks or coffees, seems fair for the price of people who play large $ or spend hours there at a time. Service is very average.

A very relaxing pokies on Lygon Street. Though at times to many makes swearing very loudly and ogling woman. Strangely the security doesn’t mind this and sometimes joins in.

I haven't tried the food but the selection of pokie machines is good and the staff are real friendly and helpful.
