Prices are already very high for yum cha. On top of that is a 10% surcharge for Sunday. Stupid. No trolley, they stopped them 3 yrs ago. No shark fin dumplings, stopped them also.

Located at Crown Casino, 31, 38/8 Whiteman Street, Southbank, Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺. I was on holiday in Melbourne and came here for dinner after seeing a movie 🎥 at the nearby casino. I was so beautifully decorated making it so welcoming and inviting. I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. I knew from the design and location, that my meal was not going to be inexpensive but I was happy to pay the extra money for a great meal. I had, fried rice with satay chicken. Spring Rolls and Prawn Toast to start. It was delicious, just spicy enough and cooked beautifully. The view over the Yarra River is amazing. I would recommend getting a window seat if you can. Overall, my experience at tis restaurant was wonderful, I certainly didn’t have any complaints. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍

Disappointing Dining Experience I had high hopes for Lucky Chan but it was a letdown. Service was slow,. When the dish’s finally arrived, they were very bland. Dessert never arrived , disappointing— For the price, I expected much better. Won’t be returning.. Not so lucky!!

2 people had the banquet and 2 drinks $310 dollars Food was average Service wasn’t the best the waitresses act like they are made to be there! had to request water twice for our table. (Also $7.00 dollars for a bottle of water) Which we didn’t know so we paid! $22.00 dollars for water in the end. It wasn’t overly busy and still had a long wait for the next serve to come out. Way too expensive for the quality of food and the service! Won’t be back

The reason for the 3 is because of price. The food was good but you can get good Chinese food in quite a few places. We also had to ask for menus after we were seated. I know it's at the casino but the prices are still a bit steep for the portion sizes and $5.50 for a tiny bowl of steamed rice isn't good. We also felt slightly deceived because there's a menu posted outside with prices noted, but everything inside is actually more expensive

Had the veggie fried riced and stir fried vegetables which were flavoursome and light. Dad had the fried chicken wings and loved the flavourings on top. Thank you to the hard working staff!

This restaurant was beautiful. The taste of the food was authentic and tasteful. Highly recommend.

We had the lamb (4 tiny pieces on a bed of bland salad) - the lamb tasted off but continued eating due to hunger. Complained to the waitress, thereafter the manager gave us 50% discount on this meal - which was a fair compromise. We also had the prawn noodles where the noodles appeared charred - was not bad to taste, but not per expectation. Service was fairly good with friendly staff. Overall a good venue in terms of layout and presentation, but investment in food preparation lacking.

We came here for holidays and thinking since quite many people here, the food should be okay. We ordered 1 small fried rice, bbq pork , 1 sang choy pau & fish with vege. The bbq pork came out and instantly we think the color wasn’t appealing, but big portion. The taste was bland and meat wasn’t very tender. The small fried rice is okay, the sang choy pau was quite pricey for 1 piece and that could be the better food among the all. As for the fish, even my child ask me why is it a little hard? Well i wasn’t sure but i have a feeling its like frozen fish. Overall we would not recommend, maybe its because we stay in Malaysia; so our Chinese food is much better so the comparison is well..

Expensive. Need a doorway from the river side. Visitors don't know that you have to enter from inside the mall. Needs at least a sign on the river-facing facades.

We had a booking for nye for a table of 6, having had nothing but positive experiences at this restaurant before including last nye I can honestly say I have never been more disappointed than I was tonight! We waited 25 minutes to be spoken to after arrival, no drinks were served until we had spoken to 3 staff members and gone directly to the bar, there was a large cockroach running across the floor of the dining room. The food was unfortunately average as well. I will certainly not be in a hurry to return!

Had a fantastic dinner at lucky Chan casual dinner food did not disappoint

圣诞假期晚上到墨尔本，一路颠簸的我们就想吃顿可口的饭菜，大晚上找了几家中餐都停业！无奈中发现了这家餐厅，却歪打正着地吃了顿极其美味的佳肴！所有菜品均优，没得说！却不知google 评分为何这么低？唉，一向都认为google 评分很准啊，却原来评价中餐有缺欠！

The service was lovely and the food was even better! Every dish was delicious, some of the best we've ever had. Cocktails were perfection. Even my husband who's a bit more on the picky side of what he eats, tried everything and said he'd happily go back again and again.

This place is a standard tourist trap. Whilst the food isn’t bad, there are much better places for Chinese/Cantonese cuisine around that are FAR better in value (just don’t go to Crown). Also for some overpriced roast duck, they could’ve tried at least to remove the thick duck feather stems still poking out of the skin. The stir fried greens was a lazy throw together of the cheapest veggies they could find with no variation in the mushrooms (contrary to what the menu suggested) and they charged $5 for tap water and $5 per tiny bowl of rice.

We order some food and the menu says it’s spicy and I asked to make it more spicy ( extra hot) but the food was sweet. When we told the waitress she just ignored. Omg. Such a bad experience. But the food is very expensive

Food wasn’t bad even though was our first time at this place. The waiters that was serving us was not even looking or checking the table to see if we need it anything and we had to wave couple of times and we could hardly understand her English. We order a cake pudding and asked for any kind of souse or ice-cream as was dry and the waitress said they don’t have any. The guy manager was really really good professional and spoken very well. Over all not a bad experience .

We ordered a selection of vegetarian foods and were pleased with the cleanliness, service & quality in general. The wait staff we had were efficient & most of them had a smile on...which of course in any customer service facing business is a non negotiable. Prices seem a bit steep but you pay for the venue. We visited again as they're the only place that have a slightly wider range for vegetarians compared to others within Crown.

Food extremely average, dumplings not nice, very thick & floury..just awful, probably worse ever had. Beef noodles bland & chewy. Ribs were ok. Disappointed in Service, don't think staff wanted to be there, not friendly at all, the Manager (assume) when paying, very rude. Will not be back & definitely will not recommend to our Adelaide friends when visiting Melbs.

Steer clear. Food shocking. Service is terrible - staff are very rude. It is like we are an inconvenience. We paid $258.90 for food we could hardly eat, only reason why we ate what we did is purely because we were starving. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else, Maccas is better than this.

Food is not Authentic. Actually flavourless. Designed for certain demographic! No spice and once again no flavours. Probably better to go to the food court around the corner. Service is terrible and prices are ridiculous for such flavourless food! Don't be fooled just because it looks busy, this is how they got us!

Far from a fine dining restaurant. The restaurant is hectic, loud and the staff that we had were extremely rude. I don’t think I have been to a restaurant before where they give you 2 menus to share between 5 people and not even speak to you. Did not offer us a drink, just dropped the menus and walked away, did not even acknowledge that we were there. Mains came out about 10mins after entrees . The waitress the proceeded to set the Table next to us and I am so surprised she didn’t smash all the crockery after slamming everything down so hard! We were never offered any drinks. Food was reasonable but as far as a dining experience it was terrible!

Great service and friendly staff. Satay chicken had just enough peanut taste with a little bit of spice. Scallops were cooked to perfection.

Took my wife and mother in law here for dinner. We had an amazing time. The service was impeccable and each dish was excellent. The wine selection was decent and I highly suggest the Banquet Menu B for a good taste of what this place has to offer. Best Chinese food we have had in Melbourne to date. 10/10 - we will be back

Tasty food. Similar meals are in other Chinese restaurants much cheaper. Nothing extraordinary.

We ordered the lobster with ginger shallot and were served the Singaporean sauce, we were asked to accept and try. This was received in a strange red sauce and not appealing to its standard. We paid $300 and the dish was worth throwing into the bin, parts of the lobster was overcooked and the sauce was terrible, it was Singaporean sauce, never try any seafood here. Rip off. To add insult to injury, they rushed us through serving the dessert whilst half way through dinner, practically shoving the dessert at us as if they wanted us out the door. Overall, a frustrating night that didn’t live up to expectations and a big let down to the 75th birthday celebration. Embarrassing service and food.

The review of 3.5 stars is so so underrated. Am from Adelaide the foodie capital of Australia and the food was absolutely outstanding. With every mouthful your mouth felt like it was in heaven tantalising and mesmerising. This is the best Chinese food ever and a place not to be missed. Service was great. We have eat there in the past, though this time come to Melbourne again for holiday have to try it, but this time is a big disappointment, we sat down order the food wait 15-20 mins for soup, then wait another 30-35 mins for Peking duck, continue waiting another 20 mins for next dishes, we went to tell the waiter nicely we give up whatever dish is out please pack for take away the rest of the dishes didn’t make it please cancel it, the waiter was very nice explain to us that the kitchen is short of staff, but the floor manager have to yell out and keep curse at us said we don’t need your business and tell us to get lost. As a customer we did nothing wrong, the owner of this restaurant need to fire this manager, get a new management. No wander I see so many bad review about the manager.

Horrible service Sat at the table for 20 minutes before being asked if we would like to order a drink. No water on table, went and got our own water and the waitress then came to the table and removed it from us. Asked for soy sauce 3 times before receiving it. Very expensive restaurant for bad service and stock standard Chinese food.

Amazing food and atmosphere! We were blown away by the 5 star service. Simon served us on wed night as we celebrated a graduation, and he was incredible!! Catering to each of our needs, whilst being so so friendly. Honestly, such great customer service, Simon in particular!!

I come in for lunch practically once a week on a Monday The team always give me a warm welcome and provide great service. I order my usual which they seem to remember and the food is always delicious That's why I keep coming back. Keep up the great work team

They served us undercooked chicken and when I showed it to the waitress she was shocked. Later, the cashier walks to our table and tries to convince me that it’s a cold dish which is usually served with some “redness” in the bone and the meat. Seriously? You don’t serve this undercooked chicken to people. It can cause serious health risks. Overpriced food and tea. Not so friendly customer service. Not going back there again

Food came very fast, staff are very friendly and helpful did their very best to accommodate my partners preference, will definitely go back with my family.

The food is very very mediocre Chinese food. Like many have commented, no better than standard Chinese food Court dishes, but some much worse. The beef with ginger and shallots was woeful. Chilli chicken just ok, green beans with tofu was good. Fried rice was ordinary. I would not return there again for the prices charged and lack of quality in the food as well as small portion sizes. The atmosphere is great, but not the food unfortunately.

Food was cooked perfect. Fried rice, Beef and black bean, honey chicken, chicken & corn soup & pork strips. Service was great.

The food and our experience were amazing. The service was so quick and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was so fresh with lots of fresh meat and vegetables. 10/10 for everything and we highly recommend and will be back. Thank you Lucky Chan.

After our work function on Friday we came for lunch. The staff were wonderful, helpful and so professional. We were offered a selection of meals for our table which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We were treated like important guests (which we were not) and overall our experience will be something that we will remember long after why we were in Melbourne in the first place. Thank you.

A very expensive experience ($380) for essentially food you can get at the food court 20metres away. (CROWN CASINO) Upper class fast food restaurant. Staff whilst nice, swooped on you to obviously get you in and out. No time really to sit and enjoy. The food was not that great especially to warrant the high price, Mongolian beef was the best. Didn't take photos, essentially your typical Chinese looking meals. Just my thoughts anyway.

We had an excellent Yum Cha lunch today. Went there with wife and a daughter, the manager wearing glasses were very professional and helpful. He kept paying attention to our table and asked for condiments. He was very helpful at cashier as we were using Crown gift card. Food was very nice, definitely higher quality than some places in Speingvale. He had a great time. Definitely coming back soon!

The restaurant rates at 3.4 on google. We went anyway and thought the service was very attentive and food was pleasant. The only recommendation I have was that the prices were not on the menu, which I didn’t like…

Crown prices but service is on par with your standard Chinese restaurant, which I don't particularly mind but when you have to pay more than usual you tend to rethink of other options. I only go here because my parents love this place, it's always their go to as 1. They love Crown 2. The love Cantonese food. I would generally go to the CBD for Yum Cha but I guess this place is ok not terrible but not excellent. Not my first choice.

Opting for dim sum brunch here turned out to be a less-than-ideal choice. The flavors were subpar, and both the dim sum and changfun seemed overcooked, resulting in a tough texture. When I asked for a replacement, a staff member responded with an unpleasant gesture. While the head manager later apologized, the service demeanor and food quality don't align with the standards of an upscale restaurant. There's a need for noticeable improvement.
