Best pub I have been in ages. The staff there are the best customer service I have had in years in a pub. Highly recommend

We've just travelled from country Vic all morning to our accommodation up the road and we were just passed lunch time and the owner behind the bar couldn't have been more fantastic, my mum and dad were starving and he whipped up a quick feed for them! That's 💯 country hospitality in the heart of Melbourne!! Fantastic, I'll come back definitely

One of the great unreconstructed pubs in the inner city. Outstanding chips and gravy, great pool table, classic pub music and distinct lack of Wankery.

OMG!!! I found THE best corner pub in north Melbourne ! First of all Fred you are the best publican I have ever met. Jovial, knowledgeable and local. Second food is pretty bloody good ….if not fantastic and third they had yummy wine (sorry it’s what I drink) but good beer and spirits available (looking at the wall). I mean the banter was great as a newbie here I felt soo welcome and part of the family . Great vibe. Thanks

Welcoming, no frills, lovely people (staff and customers). Love it.

We just had dinner and it was steak night. I was very happily surprised with the size of the steak and how thick it was. Cooked perfectly and the chips and salad were really good too. My husband had the mixed grill. Everything was cooked well but the pattie was the stand out. The flavour was incredible. The staff were lovely and service was fast. If we lived in Melbourne I think this place would be our go to for a good pub feed.

Nice quiet little old school pub near the heart of Melbourne. Visited on a work trip and landed on porterhouse special night. Steak was great, service was great. Reminds me of an old style country pub. Recommend!

The people who own this place run this place and take pride in every part of it. My family ended up here after a tragic event in our lives only a few hours prior for a meal. What we got was great service fantastic food and an owner that quietly asked if we are from the R.C.H and suffered a loss. Who then grabbed a menu and a note of there Names and number and told that they will prepare take away meals for my son and partner so they don't have to leave their daughter for any length of time. To one of the owners in tears in the back for our loss. I can not recommend this hotel enough. Real customer service here. Thanks

Ah wow great venue great staff and most importantly… great beer ! Food is top notch and kitchen was well equipped to accomodate 15 of us on a Sunday evening. Loved it

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service from all staff. Our table of 6 had excellent food that was delivered quickly and nothing was any trouble. Great pool table and casual seating area. Will make it a regular stop on my trips to Melbourne. 10/10

A pleasant little pub tucked in the back streets of North Melbourne. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and whilst the menu is pretty standard, there’s something for everyone. I couldn’t go past the Parma, and it was huge and delicious. The pub has a feeling of a country pub, with no pokies (which is great), a pool table and basic pub furniture. Well worth a visit

What a great little pub! Relaxed,friendly atmosphere and publicans, kids more than welcome. We stopped in to have a couple beers and catch end of the footy on TV after being around town for the day and couldn't have felt more at home. Although we had dinner plans elewhere, will definitely be back to check out the menu!

Such a warm and welcoming Hotel. We often gather here with the family to celebrate key events, The owners create the most amazing atmosphere, so very welcoming and accommodating. Big thanks for providing such an authentic place to enjoy great food with outstanding service.

We used to live next door and since we’ve moved abroad we think of our former local pub so fondly. The generous and fresh food, cheerful owners (hi Fred! Hi Sharon!) and the easy goingvibe. Looking forward to a beer and steak when we’re back 🍻

My wife,son and I are in town for Equitana and were looking for somewhere close to our hotel for dinner. We saw this online and thought we'd give it a try and were glad we did. I had the parmy and pot, my wife the veg parmy and son had the burger and chips. It was delicious, huge and honestly struggled to eat it all. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back again.

Great steak!! Couldn't believe the quality of meals at the price. Very warm & friendly management. Cant claim I found as was recommended to us. A must attend when in Melbourne!!
