Have had alot of really good experiences at The Aussie Inn but last night was ordinary to say the least. Booked for 7 people for my birthday dinner, ordered food - waited for food. Meals came out 5/7 of them, waited and waited then was asked what we were waiting for - 2 meals. Had the receipt brought out and was told I didn't order mine? only 1 meal to come asked where the other one was, they said it was coming - I said what I ordered they went and got it 15 minutes after everyone else go there's. I was then asked to pay for it (I thought after the stuff up I'd get some sort of compensation) only to be told again by the manager that I must have forgotten to order it and was charged for my meal 15 minutes after others had started eating. Not a deal breaker but definitely don't think enough was done about the situation and annoyed it was insinuated as an error that I had made.

Had a lovely lunch with friends at Aussie inn . My previous visit last year was disappointing . However since renovations had been done ., thought I would give it another go and was absolutely delighted . Food was lovely and well priced and great selection of wines too . You have won us!!!We will make this our regular meeting place now . Thanks again

Went here for a besties bday dinner last night. Space beautiful, service prompt and friendly. I had the Kippfler potatoes sweet, cooked to perfection and very generous serve, and the Soba noodle salad which was fresh, and reasonable serving for the price. Only critique is sesame oil dressing tasted like straight oil no additional balance of flavour. I think adding some lime juice, or a lime wedge on top and a sweet element maybe mirin would elevate the dish, the tomatoes weren't acidic enough to break through the straight oil flavour ( and I do love sesame oil ) .My husband had the crocodile, he was so so impressed. We will definitely be back many more things on the menu to try yet. All round great evening, with great company and great food. Fabulous job Aussie Inn

First time going here and I was pleasantly surprised the food was delicious. Great size meals and reasonable pricing. We had a large group for a birthday party. Didn't have to wait long for food to arrive and everyone was full afterwards (some of us had to take left overs home). I wasn't sure what wine to order at the bar and the girl was very helpful offering me a few suggestions. I gave the room 3 stars as it was a very hot day and I felt the aircon could have been turned up cooler.

Looks fantastic, food was nice, having to pay for food separately from drinks and in a different area is not convenient for customers

We had a 'hiccup' with the booking system and some concerns when we came for dinner recently, but after contacting the General Manager, Jackson, we were promptly assured the problem would be resolved. We were very impressed that the issue was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Thank you! Good honest pub food. Give them a go!

First visit since the major renovations and upgrade to the whole hotel. Very impressed with the new decor. And, as usual the food was great and came quickly and was a generous serving.

Owner is super professional and genuine in ensuring people's feedback and needs are met. Staff are lovely. Delicious food with good serving sizes. Nice cocktail list and comfortable surroundings. We've sat both outside and inside in a booth and both are great. Menu is solid with most of the usual dishes, but also a couple of different offerings which is helpful when you have alternative dietary requirements. We recommend The Aussie Inn if you're wanting to get out of the house and have a night off from cooking!

Dropped in for Australia day lunch, the undercover dining area was a great space and plenty of room for the kids. Has a large outdoor play space, playground and seating. Meals were lovely and it was good to see some other options from the traditional pub favourites.

There was something wrong with my meal and the staff were straight onto it, quickly offering me a generous solution. I will definitely go back.

We booked for a table of 4. When we arrived we were sat at a table in the corner of the dining room. Rowdy group at the next table were spreading themselves out and waitress Natalie was very quick to arrange another table for us. Her service throughout the night was impeccable. Enjoyed our meals but unfortunately bar service was lacking severely.

Woohoo! Chef has brought back the Southern Fried Chicken Tenders with Bang Bang Sauce. One very happy diner. 😊

Beautiful new space with a really yummy menu. The kids meal was great, finally someone doing a kids meal that is not just deep fried. The music selection was a bit off for our liking but appreciate everyone has different taste. Staff were friendly, smiley and happy to help.

Great meal at the Aussie. Good enough selection of gluten free items. Partner said the schnitzel was amazing. Roast lamb was delicious but could do with more gravy.

My family and I had lunch on Australia Day, first time back since renovations, comfortable and family friendly with prompt, friendly service The meals were absolutely delicious, everyone of us enjoyed our meals From the chicken parmi, to the seafood and the roast of the day 😋 Highly recommend, we will be back for sure

Have been going to Aussie for many years. Never had a bad meal and staff have been excellent. Visited last week. Had booked. Arrived and had someone with a frame and we asked if we could sit inside (previously booked) Person was not impressed with asking and advised us that she wasn’t sure. She was peeved as she had to set the table (only needed to give knife and fork) but that was too much. The younger staff were very helpful. Then we ordered the meal and this took 1 hour. While we were waiting the food bell only rang once so meals were being sent out. Our meals arrived which were schnitzels You could see the oil sitting on the top and on this was rock salt Not just a small amount but large pile. The garlic prawns had no garlic in it. The prawns had no taste. We were going to complain but it was so late waiting another hour ( no thanks) Have always recommended people to this hotel including overseas people but, not now. Very disappointed

Visited recently to check out the renovations and was not disappointed. Dining areas are bright and airy with plenty of areas to choose from. Food was generous and full of flavour. Highly recommend

This is a nice place, clean great service. The food is good, nothing fancy, normal pub menu but good portions and well cooked, tasty.

The staff, renovations and playground are the reason I gave the Aussie inn 3 stars. The staff were terrific, the renovations are beautiful and the playground and outdoor area are amazing! But that is were the positives stop. When we visited, multiple items on the menu were unavailable and the expensive cheeseburger I ended up settling on was terrible. I could have gone down the road to hungry jacks and got a better meal for half the price. The food did come out quickly and the kids meals were generous in size but also pricey in my opinion. It's a real shame about the food because this pub has everything for a great Sunday Arvo hang out if they can get there act together in the kitchen.

Had lunch here on Saturday. Meals were absolutely delicious! I had the Moroccan lamb skewers and mum had the fish & chips. Lamb was cooked to perfection, served with chips, salad, pitas and tzatziki.Mums fish was cooked perfectly, we will definitely be making the Aussie our regular! Really love the new renovations and service was great 😃 lovely staff

Good service, good playground for the younger kids and good food at a reasonable price.

We went for lunch today for my partners birthday we had worked out a couple of things we wanted to eat from the website to find they were not on the menu my partner did not eat his meal as his snitzell and chips and our other family's food was so salty especially the chips could not be eaten very disappointing food probably won't be back

Waited 40min for cold chips cold gravy. Schnitzel was a tad warm. Reno looks great… foods Cleary stayed the same.

food was legit, expensive maccas, beef burger tasted exactly like a cheeseburger from maccas, only good thing was the chips

Having dine at the Aussie on numerous occasions, but normal with small numbers this last occasion was with a large family group and i could not have been happy. The service, the food the ambiance was above and beyond where nothing was too small or trivial for the staff. A big shout to all for making the day outstanding.

The worst meal I’ve ever encountered. They should be ashamed to be presenting a $26 burger which consisted of a cold bun, a slice of melted cheese with some sauce and two small slices of pickle. That’s was it! And it was like warm (if that). No salad, no tomato, no lettuce… McDonald’s puts them to shame and I hate McDonalds. Never again. Do yourselves a favor and- avoid this place. The most Un-Aussie meal ever!

Would rather have gone to Hungry Jacks or KFC for a burger.

We had a combined 40th & 1st Birthday party in the newly renovated Terrace area. It was by far one of the best hospitality experiences I've experienced in a long time. Each individual staff member helping us was so accommodating, polite and proactive. The food (pre-ordered platters) were absolutely sensational, and cocktails wonderful and made straight away. Everything was just fantastic. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Renovations have enhanced it and the service is the best we've had at a pub this year. The menu has the classics but also exciting items. Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces and a playground too.

Big shout out to all those who work and cook the meals, as a group dining on monday the 30th of december for a lunch time service for a friends birthday. On explaining my allergie to garlic the staff both frobt of house and kitchen staff were able to nake changes in the menu to allow me to dine with confidance and plesure, so many time thus has not been possible at other venues, so a very big thank you to all of you! Loving the update by the way, I for one will be back in the very near future.

Being newly renovated we decided to give it a go. We had table for 20. First impressions were lovely, new renovations look great but unfortunately that’s where it ends. Advised when we ordered there would be a 45min - 1 hour wait which I wouldn’t mind if it was super busy, but it wasn’t. Seemed to be plenty of staff working so these delays didn’t add up. Food arrived approx 1 hour 10 mins after ordering and to say we were disappointed was an understatement. Some food luke warm and others with little to no flavour. We also thought food was overpriced and having to pay $4-$5 extra for gravy on a schnitzel is robbery. (Mini schnitzel with gravy $26) Not sure we will bother coming back tbh. All in all disappointed with cost and food.

Had a lovely experience with a waiter by the name of dahlan, exceptional service exactly how you want to be greeted and treated in hospitality. Hard to come by these days, but he made our dinner all the more enjoyable. More staff like this in the world please 👏

I went with the family for Christmas dinner. I've got a mix grill everytime I've been there for the last 30 years and I was all excited but it turns out they don't do a mixed grill there anymore.... Nice staff and nice place for a beer.

We sat outside, a really nice play area for the kids. We ordered schnitzels. They were really nice, but there was far too much salt on the chips. My husband could not eat his due to this. Hence why the 4 stars. Apart from that it was a nice lunch.

We had dinner on Boxing Day and the meals were absolutely delicious 10/10 recommend.

Love the new look after the renovations! The kid's play area is a treat for the kids while the grown-ups enjoy their meals with a choice of drinks from the refurbished bar. Thank you for the enjoyable time. We'll be back 👍🏼😎🍻

Pritty piss pore excuse for food. Had a terrible dinner. There where 2 tables of us and 6 people didn't get there food and wen it finally arrived 2 of them sent it back and got there money back...

I went there recently after the renovation. I didn’t like what had been done as I don’t this it flows now and there is a lot of wasted space and the colour scene is terrible. The food was quite good but I think the choices etc were better before. The old saying goes “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” is true.

UPDATE: Since the renovations the place has gone downhill, only good t h ing was the renovations are nice but everything else was below average. Customer service or that lack there of, took over an hour for our meals to come outand not informed of wait when ordering, rude staff when asking about meals and wait, children running around pulling out lights, staff not in asking parents to control their children, multiple meals were incorrect or missing something. Will not be going back!!! My uncle and was visiting from Broome and was staying at at Mick Oshea's so we originally had a booking at Mick Oshea's purely for convenience purposes but after being sat at a filthy table and told to clean it ourselves and then waiting in line for almost 30mins to order just our drinks due to incompetent staff and overbooking (which thry do ALL the time sobthey look busy) and the queue to order food flowing out the front restaurant I rang the Aussie Inn and was told they would have a table of 8 waiting for us within 15mins. When we arrived our table was clean, set and ready for us. The place itself was cool, inviting and clean unlike Mick Oshea's which was dull, hot with no air flow and unclean/cluttered. We were seated right away and able to order our drinks and meals within 20mins where the servers were extremely nice and ensured we were happy throughout our meals. I can definately say that the Aussie Inn is one of the nicest pubs in the southern area with affordably priced meals that are quality sized and absolutely delicious! The enclosed playground for the children is an added bonus in keeping the lil ones entertained whilst parents can feel safe that the children have a safe and secure place to play. Love the Aussie Inn and will definately be going back again

Staff were nice. The renovations are very good, better seating overall and they fixed the issue with the draughty back door by putting in double entry doors. But, and it’s a big but, the food was very disappointing. Under seasoned and just bland. I got the porterhouse steak, ordered medium rare. The steak was way too thick, around 5cm thick which means it cannot be cooked consistently. Thus the edges were way over cooked and tough and the inside was a little under. There was no seasoning on the steak which is a big no no. They require at least a good sprinkling of salt. My wife had the roast of the day which was Turkey. She felt the same that it was under seasoned. It’s very disappointing as we would like to come here as regulars, living so close, but can’t get past the food. It used to be better. Sorry, just being honest.

Reno looks amazing, staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating as we had our little one with us. Food was delicious - partner raved about his steak. Given it was such a hot night and quite busy we were very impressed - every staff member had a smile on their face - really refreshing to see.

Good food good customer service. Special board needs to be placed where u can see it and needs to be mentioned on the menu as well. But we all had a very enjoyable evening.😁👏👍

River Point Retirement Village had their Christmas function on 3rd December this year. There were 123 residents and we were seated in the new extension. The food was absolutely delicious and hot, brought out with good timing by wonderful & cheery staff. We were so impressed that our management have already booked this venue for next year. Well done!

We had a large Christmas Function for our Retirement Living Residents. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing, service you could not fault, the area we had to ourselves and was very comfortable. It was a great day had by everyone and look forward to booking next year and visiting the Aussie Inn for a meal or function anytime.

Had dinner there with my family 3 generations 89 years old down to 3 years old great service awesome food highly recomend will dine there again.

The venue looks amazing and service was pretty good, but not impressed with the cannelloni I ordered. I thought cannelloni was round tubes? My serve was just rectangular large squares of pasta on top of broccoli with a cheese sauce. It was terrible, no taste and not nice to eat. $30 not well spent , thumbs down.
