Typical watering hall situated in Forrest Hill Chase . Normally very busy around dinner but I never see anyone dining just slapping away. Lol I think it's funny when u win a jackpot and the ppl near u start hitting the play button harder and I turn it all the way up haha

I visited The Chase Hotel in Forest Hill with my two kids, hoping to enjoy a coffee and some ice cream. To my surprise, the staff informed us that we had to purchase food to get ice cream, which was never mentioned anywhere. When we asked to speak to the manager, a very rude woman came over and flatly refused, showing zero courtesy or understanding. The entire experience was disappointing and unwelcoming. Definitely won’t be coming back.

It is good to have lunch or dinner before or after seeing the movie. Hoyts cinema is in the area.

Been coming here for years they must change the manger the old lady with the glasses who was working on Saturday the 9/9/2023 was so rude to me I will not return, place has gone down hill big time the poikes are just crap don’t pay out any more and the new staff are lazy and very rude

extremely rude girl (blonde hair, long face) I literally asked for ice cream and fruit (it’s on the menu) and she refused to serve it like bro it’s literally just fruit and ice cream are u serious.

I had the worst experience, the waiter forgot us, we had to go to the main bar to ask for a waiter to take our order. I ordered a Butter chicken, it was horrible it looked and tasted like dog food nothing so ugly it has the name of the dish only, no taste or flavour.

Bar staff do not serve well. Lazy staff there. Monday evening.

Nice food, fast and friendly service. Menu is a bit limited, and the cakes are a bit hard because refrigerated. Ok prices and a lovely atmosphere.

I have a very mixed review about this place, half positive and half negative. First the positives: this place is stashed in the corner of the top level at forest hill shopping centre and is easy to find. Place has a decent sized pokie room and betting facilities, along with a clean bathroom and smokers area outside. Most of the staff and security team are nice and friendly and very accommodating. I have been coming for a while now for the pokie room and have never visited the bistro but tonight my partner and my parents (plus me) decided we would try to dine in. Booking process was easy, so that was all good. Staff were nice and accomodating too. However, the food.. don’t get me started 😭. We ordered 3 chicken parmas, a steak, garlic bread and prawns. (+ a lemon curd cake for dessert which was delicious!!!). The garlic bread and prawns were great, however the parmas were dry and not tasty at all. I left mine behind because I couldn’t even eat it. Sauce wasn’t nice, ham was tough to chew and the salad had no flavouring/sauce. My partner got the steak and we had to send it back to the kitchen because it was as tough as leather, we got it replaced and it was still not great and left behind, the quality was not there. The chef said it was due to the quality of meat they had received. We ended up speaking to a lovely girl in the bar about potentially getting a refund or compensation because we left half our meals behind (and spent a lot of money.. around $170, for the food, dessert and drinks) but management could only offer a round of drinks or desserts (which we already had). So I am a little dissatisfied and disappointed in how this was handled and that we were not offered something more. I love coming to this place but unfortunately it will not be to eat again.

Located on the top-level(3) of Forest Hill Chase Shopping centre this venue has had a refurbishment since I last visited. A popular spot for pokies or Wed night trivia. They still produce a variety of nice pub meals and have a relaxed atmosphere. Our group found it a bit too noisy and echoey on a Sat night since we struggled to hear conversations.

Very bad took away my members card,just because I chose not to play the pokies,so rude especially when its completely separated not supposed to do that.

You guys REALLY need to overhaul the menu. The options are quite limited for a pub.

Every time we go to the chase we are disappointed and will not be stepping foot in here again. The cakes are dry and look like they have been sitting in the cabinet for weeks. The old waitress with the blonde hair is a disgraceful, nasty rude person. Yelling and being mean to costumers is not a good look for your establishment. Younger waitresses are judgmental and laugh and whisper with the older lady, seriously grow up. Have told everyone I know to stay away from this place and go elsewhere. Disgusting service for a place that caters to a majority of older people. Don’t bother replying to this either!

Had a steak, medium rare, excellent. The atmosphere here is excellent, everything is nice and clean, and service is always excellent!!

Booked a table for 5 to watch the grand final today we had a nice lunch, half go to play the pokies, order a coffee for myself and one for my disabled friend sitting at our table, when the coffees were ready I took my friends coffee over to her and go back to my machine, all of a sudden the old woman waitress I think Olga is her name comes charging over screaming at me to pay for the two coffees, I tried to explain I was at the pokies showing her my ticket, she screams to me not to talk over her, all in front of the whole lounge full of people, so rude,I couldn't even defend myself, this woman is the nastiest piece of work. I was happy to pay for my disabled friends coffee but there was no need for her rude screaming attitude, all of us are regulars there,and seniors. Not sure how this nasty person Olga keeps her job, there's a right and wrong way to speak to loyal customers, shocked, disappointed and will never eat there again.

Really always love my time here... The Schnitzel hit the spot JUST right. The atmosphere is outstanding. I love just coming here while our toddler naps in the pram and banging out some work. ANNA is such a wonderful joy and keeps my coming back. PLEASE give her a raise.

Very average. Salt and pepper calamari was bland and you couldn't tell it was salt and pepper. Soggy fish and a drip of dressing on the salad.

First time dining. Nice menu, shame the t-bone steak wasn't available on the night. Scotch fillet was nice. Chicken parma was huge, nice crumb and soft. We went on Wednesday for the trivia, got really busy, so best to book. Decent prices.

Cozy and lively place in heart of forest hill shopping centre to enjoy with family and friends, lovely staffs and amazing meals. Awesome place to hangout.

Good could be better. Had the chicken parma seniors serving and it was so oily and overcooked. Lady next me who I came with and the gentleman on the other side of me also complained about the schnitzel being over cooked and hard to cut. have had better meals at other hotels.

My partner and I have been regulars for roughly 4 years. Our go to order is the Parma, it’s always been consistently delicious! Recently, the Parma has changed, the quality of chicken and chips do not seem the same. Possible management or chef change? The atmosphere is great, lots of different areas to sit for a different vibe. There’s a massive TV screen too, great for you sporty people.

Overall the food was alright. It was a busy night so staff were flat out. The thing I remember was that the seniors meal was small. One small piece of fish. Salad and chips were fine. Good for watching sporting matches. Shopping centre parking is ample.

Good food , good price and amazing service. One area to improve is to have more staff for Saturday night. They were so understaffed that the security guard had to wait tables.

Beautiful meals, the butter chicken and carbonara were delish. They forgot the kids ice cream so we left. Not a kid friendly venue. Wonderful for seniors, good prices and portions.

Used to love coming here for cake and coffee, the cake was always a nice slice and now I can hardly see it on my plate, very slim pieces, maybe profits before keeping patrons. Go back to how it used to be please.

Great quality small pub. Food is decent quality. Prices slightly higher than average of equivalent venues. Still had a new and vibrant feel. Staff are friendly and attentive. Medium sized sports bar / tab area. Small to medium sized gaming area. Great game of poker on Sunday evenings.

Big meals from a fairly normal pub menu. Tasty and normal pricing. The staff are lovely. The trivia on Wednesday nights is a favourite and poker night is also held (I just forget what night) definitely recommend for an easy night out.

Pokies den In the Sports bar they don’t turn the commentary on or even know what live sport is on , the tv is good though It operates purely to run pokies Menu has not changed ever The Parma and the ceasar salad are safe if you need to eat there, steak is like leather, farmhouse chicken is rubbish , pasta and risotto is out of a can because I can’t explain why it is so bad , butter chicken please avoid. They have beer and cold drinks which is a bonus and hard to stuff up

This is a pokies bar so my expectations weren't high to begin but the steak was so overcooked and tough I was tempted to bring home steak to turn it into a leather strap.

The service is awful. The worst I experienced is this blonde older woman around 60 yo full of attitide and rudeness. Many times I waited to be served at the bar while the staff finished their chat avoiding looking at you. There are a couple of staff who are attentive and pleasant, I remember who they are because they are rare around the place. But you don't know what you are gonna get. This business needs competition and the staff needs retraining or be replaced. After the encounter with that woman, I decided not to go there again. The proverbial last straw.

As always this is a pokie pub and is reviewed as such. For me the service with a smile got me hooked. The food fitted my expectations 100% and the cake with coffee put a huge smile on the dial. As a bonus for sports lovers the TV was huge. I figure the perfect place to relax, watch sport and place a small wager .... in comfort.

Above forest hill shopping centre, this is a handy location to eat (esp as most other venues upstairs seem to be closed). Service is really fast though it's very noisy (from screens, slot machines and the timezone a few steps away). We asked for, and pointed to, a quieter booth but were oddly walked to another. Smell of cigarettes was also off-putting esp near the bar where you order. I ordered a cocktail but should have saved the $$ and gotten a soft drink as it tasted like a mocktail. A couple of us ordered salt and pepper calamari but it seemed to be missing both....it was also overly soft and mushy (like that tenderizing substance was used on it). Would also have been nice to be told my gf version would be missing the chips. I was served the same size salad and calamari for the same price as the regular on the same table. Was disappointed overall.

Steak was full of gristle and inedible.

It took 35 minutes to get 2 chicken parma and 1 chicken nuggets kids menu. Im still waiting for me my meal.

Food was reasonable and the staff helpful. We were there with a group and service was pretty hurried but food came out in a satisfactory timeframe. The big downside was the gambling and pokies taking over most of the venue. It's not really a family friendly dining location even though it's right next door to Timezone

I went here for few time , I feel staff here is so nice … but today got 1 old women with blond hair ( around 50/60 years old) she really make me unhappy, she so rude I really hope u guys must take action, her attitude is very bad

I’ve been visiting for years. But their prices are very expensive now. $5 extra now to swap a side of salad for vegetables. When they came they were barely cooked. The corn was wet and soggy and the carrots were tough. Timezone is nearby making the bistro noisy. Won't be back anytime soon.
