Had excellent service today from Dannielle buying a mobile phone. Very helpful with great customer service.
Assistant tried to charge me more than the amount advertised. He asked me if I had someone at home to connect my purchase up for me. Assuming that I was too dumb to do it.Belittling me because of my looks.

Service in furniture was terrible. The salesman huffed and puffed as if it were all too much trouble. Very unfriendly. I purchased 2 items of furniture and had to pay delivery on both even though they were delivered at the same time. This has not happened at other HN stores. The experience was unpleasant. I gave 2 stars because the products were exactly what I wanted. I truly do not want to ever go back to Devonport Harvey Norman store 😫
Needed a new mattress and the lady in the bedding section was knowledgeable and informative. She engaged and allowed us to talk it through and insisted we try everything. Because of her we were able to make the right decision and chose the right mattress. Prompt delivery on the day arranged was appreciated. We’ve been sleeping better ever since it was installed. Also a week later, we bought a new washing machine as ours died. The staff in electrical were also all well trained in the functions and that helped us to decide on a brand/model/price range. Then the delivery team for the washer was awesome, troubleshooting and testing so that the installation didn’t leak and fitted perfectly! Thanks guys! You’re awesome!

I bought a replacement computer today. Bryn was fantastic, taking me through a number of different types and their benefits for what I would use it for. There was great interaction and very helpful advice, not just on the laptop but also on security.
Always a pleasure shopping here for things you do and do not need. Usually a bargain in the bargain bin too. Ample parking and friendly staff. Great to have an actual physical store.

**Title: Battery Disaster and Poor Store Support - Regret This Purchase I recently purchased a laptop for work about 1800$ and spent over $1,000 on additional programs. To my dismay, the battery lasts less than 5 minutes! When I returned to the store, they offered me either a two-week repair or a new laptop. This is unacceptable as I’ve already installed critical software and can’t afford the downtime or reinstall costs. The store’s response was disappointing and didn’t address the urgency of the situation. I expected much better support, especially given the significant investment I’ve made. This experience has been frustrating and a complete waste of time and money. I strongly advise against buying this laptop or dealing with this store if you value your time and money.

Paid for my it 4 weeks ago, still haven't got it and the electronic department get annoyed with me when I call them to see what is going on.
If it wasn't for Prab, I would have given even less stars. When we came in, we were completely ignored, no Hello or Do you need any help? , nothing! Prab realised that we needed help and approached us immediately. He was attentive, courteous and sorted us out, exceptional service from Prab 6 stars.
Very poor customer service! Sales Assistant was very rude. Kept saying “Oh God! Are you buying?“ I felt racially discriminated and belittled, when I was asking questions, he kept on replying “Oh God! It was humiliating in front of my friend and other customers and while trying to get answers on the tv, he started answering question to other customers, who weren’t buying. I felt intimidated and violated! I will not gonna seek him out in the shop ever again!

Fantastic service from the Sales Assistant yesterday (08/5/24), very helpful and a very fair price match and extra discount. Alas, the Store Manager is a little rude, best he stays in his office, when I was paying, he interrupted the sales person accepting my money, he didn't apologise, say excuse me, etc. FIRST rule in retail, the Customer in Store, takes priority.

Waited over 20 minutes no service no acknowledgement that I was even there. Very unprofessional for such a high end store asked other workers who was doing nothing but couldn't help not there department 🙄

Yesterday morning I went into Harvey Norman Devonport experiencing some SIM card issues and was looking at SIM card only deals. I was greeted by Rob wing in the electrical apartment. Rob asked if he could assist in anyway to where I told Rob I was browsing at the present time before I went and looked at sim card plans. Little did I know that the electrical side did phone, byo and SIM card plans. Rob was new to the process himself as usually his staff do it for him but he informed me of the deals in store Harvey Norman had to offer. These deals very intriguing: $49 24 month plan $600 bonus Harvey Norman gift card $69 24 month plan $800 bonus Harvey Norman gift card. $99 24 month plan with a $1200 Harvey Norman gift card. I decided to go ahead and do a deal with Rob. At $99 per month with a $1200 gift card this suited me well because I was moving shortly and I could use the bonus at the store in the city I’m moving too. The Aldi plan I had was $45 a month pre paid which i renewed myself monthly. The offer I took from Rob ended up being $49 a month over 24 months which I don’t have to renew, with better 5g reception, more data per month. The way I calculated that was the $1200 bonus gift card spent at any Harvey Norman store country wide divided by 24 months = $50 off per month. I need to buy all new household appliances in cairns regardless so I found this a very good deal for me. It was fast, efficient and fun to do this process with Rob Wing in Harvey Norman Devonport. I recommend Rob and Harvey Norman electrical to do anything Optus related. What a great deal I got! Sometimes there will be offers too. Kieron.
Terrible service like most Harvey Norman stores. Went to buy at TV and Tablet. Salesman was uninterested. Tablet was on display but they had none in stock. Useless. Won’t be going back. Don’t shop here. Waste of time.

Paying large amounts of money for extra warranty is a scam. If the product is faulty when you get it home then you should be able to return for full refund instead of giving you the run around and pretending as if there isn't anything wrong with the item. If it does work fine then all you have to do is treat it right and you shouldn't need extra warranty, the manufacturer gives warranty in the box.
Recent visit changed my opinion of Harvey Norman. The sales assistant was very helpful and knew their products well. Boxing Day sale saved me almost $1500. Great e perience.

Salesman was an arrogant you know what he said it wasn’t his section but he was standing right next to the thing I was looking at. Won’t bother going there again, rather pay more somewhere else and hopefully get decent service.

Don't shop here brought 3 years extra warranty because salesman said it for anything but not the case wasted $300 for a lie .. also put in computer and was told it would be 10 days to come back from tully .. 15 weeks later wheres my laptop ??? Ordered a battery for my laptop, said it would be a week to 10 days, 3 1/2 weeks later I ring to see if it’s there, it is, made excuses for not ringing. Very poor service and they don’t care, and it was paid for in advance.

Couldn't get service. I asked at the front of the shop what I wanted, I was then sent to the right of the shop. Checked all aisles out, couldn't find what I wanted. Waited for some time, still no service, so after waiting about 20 minutes, I walked out of the shop.
Dealt with Colby who was absolutely amazing, really went out of his way explaining how the Apple Watches work, best Harvey Norman store I’ve ever been to
Usual Harvey Norman rude customer service experience where staff justify speaking rude to customers.
Click & Collected a brand new iPad from here. Was asking about case sizing for it and the staff member was unsure and said he would check if they fit that specific model of iPad. He proceeded to open up our iPad and try and force the case on, after a while we said that it's probably best not to force it on otherwise it might damage the device. He proceeded to pack the device back in its box, leaving marks and finger marks on it. We did go back in and make an enquiry and got it all sorted out but it was definitely an interesting experience.

Brought a 65in TV from there yesterday, the silver haired sales agent became rude and arrogant after not wanting to spend above my budget, then claimed that the $99 product care and extra surge protection wouldn't be covered by my insurance, which is a complete false statement. I found him greasy and sweaty and became abruptly rude when he could not get an extra sale.
WARRANTY? Unfortunately we all find ourselves having to return goods on occasion. Harvey Norman staff have interpretations of Australian consumer laws that are unique. You can expect the runaround and deferral tactics as typical protocol. I purchased a coffee machine that had three faults. Circumstantially extremely unhelpful.
Asked for 13 pro max case and gave me a 12 pro max case instead didn’t know until i got home
