My wife recently had a birthday party function at Arcadia Hotel - the staff were great and very easy to communicate with leading up to the event, the food was tasty and the venue space was very cool.

We had a party for our 50th at Arcadia Hotel. From planning the event to executing, the staff did an extremely superb job. There was regular and constant communication and co-operation leading up to the event that helped us plan the event well. There was flexibility in accomodating our needs. On the day of the event , everything went smoothly. Our guests loved the venue and enjoyed the food and drinks. Thank you Mark for being an excellent manager. Also a big thank you to Aliya in particular, who was phenomenal with her friendly service from planning the event to executing it , with her big smile always ! Thank you!

Arcadia Hotel is a great place to go, especially after working up a thirst playing sport at Fawkner Park next door. Weeknights have a great vibe and it’s best to reserve a table on weeknight special nights if you wish to eat! Food used to be cheap and drinks expensive here, but now it’s normally priced with expensive drinks. The quality isn’t that great, but I can appreciate a special all the same. It has turned around from how it used to be both in food quality and service, but if you order a rare or well done steak expect a medium to well done cooked steak regardless.

We had an excellent time at Arcadia Rooftop for our Christmas Party. Aliya was attentive, accommodating and easy to work with.

Great Scotch Fillet steak. Very tender and tasty. Loved it. Went there for my wife's BD. Loved the food, atmosphere. The only thing is if you're looking to use the billiard tables you need to be lucky to get one as people reserve/block them kind of for all day which is probably not fair. There is 4 tables, we waited for one hour no chance.

Great buffalo wings, porterhouse steak is a bargain on steak night. Good friendly atmousphere to play pool and have a few beers. Also has an open rooftop area and a function room.

AVOID EATING THERE. Ordered two meat lovers pizza with our order, only received one so they rushed through another one quickly and was inedible and the first pizza had a big hair in it. Bar staff weren’t to interested when we told them. Wouldn’t go back if you paid me. Go elsewhere if you want a good feed but don’t eat at the Arcadia.

Great value for price, open till late, really friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. May be too loud for some tastes, but I recommend it for anyone looking for a snack and drinks, cocktails are good and they have a decent range of tap beer. The bottle shop is open till 1 am and has fairly decent pricing.

Great food in a relaxed setting. Tuesday night parma and Wednesday night steak specials are particularly great value for money. Summer evenings on the roof are well worth the time.

We came for $12 Friday night cocktails and we tried a few of them, all had no bite and seemed very watered down or not containing alcohol. We also ordered a cocktail at full price that was outside the $12 cocktail menu and the same thing applied. You can't promote and sell cocktails for $12 if you're not willing to make them properly. Not worth you're money. I normally love this venue and play pool often but I hope this reaches the owners because I am pretty disappointed.

Worst food I’ve had in a very very long time. Literally inedible. Not sure how you can get a veggie burger so wrong. Veggie patty was 1cm thin, bread toasted and hard (I just took it off to save the roof of my mouth) the slaw was limp and old, next to no sauce. Fruit salad for dessert, I didn’t even bother having one bit cause the watermelon was clearly frozen and thawed.. don’t ever do this. This was an event that costs $40per meal. I’m absolutely shocked this place can be in business serving that rubbish in South Yarra. I wish I took photos.

I organised my Christmas break up at The Arcadia in their Rooftop bar. The staff were amazing, especially Aliya who couldn't have been more accomodating with some of my requests. The atmosphere was perfect with our own music playing, slideshows on the TV and super friendly service at the bar and during food service. I can't recommend The Arcadia highly enough. I held my 21st birthday party at the Arcadia hotel, in the level one room. Best night of my life, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Aliya especially was very helpful during the process of organising how I wanted everything layed out. Definitely would recommend for anyone who wants to have a function. Thankyou again Reahn

We hosted an after wedding recovery lunch with Arcadia Hotel. We are so grateful for the staff who made the day so special. The organising of the event was very straight forward and the staff were responsive and flexible! We had a hot day, but the deck has the function of closing the roof- so it was super comfortable. We ordered food from the menu- everything was delicious, our guests were really pleased. We had the whole area to ourselves- it was very private and accommodated around 45 people comfortably. Would highly recommend for any event!

We hosted an event at this place. The team including the manager, bartenders and Aliya were a delight. They ensured that all requests were catered for. The team is very accommodating and flexible. Four of us had steak, salad and veg. All of our steaks were cooked just as we liked and they were so tasty. The chips, sauces, salad and veg were satisfying too. We’d recommend.

We booked our work end of year party on the Rooftop at Aracdia - and we absolutely loved it! So many people were talking about how great the vibe was and how delicious and fresh the food was. The Tuesday Parma Nites and Wednesday Steak Nites are the highlights of this place! Just when you thought it was “just another pub” that feels dark and old, wait until you head up to the top floor! Wow…totally different vibe! This is our local “go to” pub for a great feed, most of the time, the food is awesome with crunchy chips. However, there are some occasions where the chips are not as crunchy. Pics are of 2 different visits. For Wednesday Steak Nite, my pick is the Porterhouse.

Always a good vibe at Arcadia, the food is consistently good and I always look forward to the live music! The Royce twins are who you want to see!

On the weekend we held my partner's birthday party on the Rooftop at the Arcadia Hotel. Thanks to the complete professionalism of Aliya, the wait staff and the Functions team at Arcadia, not only was the party meticulously planned and went without a hitch, but the food was (as per usual!) 10/10. The team at Arcadia helped create a fantastic function package for me and I would highly recommend entertaining family/friends there. Thank you, Arcadia, for what will most definitely be a memorable day!

We had family lunch at Arcadia Hotel. Food was delicious, staff was friendly and polite. 10/10 customer service. Toilets were clean, sitting area was spacious. There is a pool table at ground floor. Plenty of parking around. Interiors are simple yet beautiful, tiles add to the vibe. Definitely recommend the place and will visit again 👌

Nice spot for quiet-ish midweek drinks (don’t know what it’s like on the weekend). Pool tables and some music, food menu looks decent. Outdoor heaters don’t work though even though they look fairly new/in good condition

Had my joint 21st with another mate here in the Level One room to cater about 120 people. From the beginning the Mark and Aliya have been fantastic to accomodate for our needs, maintained perfect communication throughout and we loved their help, especially for us 2 lads who’ve had no event experience. Highly recommend anyone who’s got a big pack of friends to hold their 25th, 21st and 18th here. It’s a great venue, great sound system, great facilities, great staff and great food also a very short walk to South Yarra station which is handy for those who live a bit further away. I’m sure we’ll be back for our joint 25th in the future!

Great steak night, cool atmosphere, absolutely clueless staff. Called ahead and explained upon arrival that we were here for a surprise celebration. The wait staff forgot to bring out the candles with the food for the people we were celebrating, then insisted WE buy another desert! And even when we did, they STILL got the numbers of the two candles wrong! Seriously clueless. It’s not that hard to put candles in, let alone charge us extra for an additional desert because of their mistake! EDIT: In response to the comment from the owner. I understand that, that is why I called the day before to check this could be accommodated, arrived early to inform the staff themselves and explain the situation, and then upon ordering clearly point out the patrons involved and receive agreement from the staff. I’m really not sure what more could have been done. It was simply, not that complicated. I feel like clueless is an apt summary of the situation

I had my 80th birthday party upstairs and it was great. Mark, Aliya and the other staff were all friendly and helpful and ensured it all went off without a hitch. Highly recommended!

I held my 30th birthday on the rooftop and it was the best decision I have ever made. Mark and Aliya were so helpful from the very start all the way through to the very end. Celebrated my son's 19th birthday at lunchtime today. The place was empty (everyone probably recovering from the AFL final yesterday). The food was just fantastic and absolutely delicious just really large portions which we ended up taking leftovers home. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We brought our own cake and there was no cakeage charge. Will definitely return again.

We live around the corner, thought we would give it a go because we felt like a pub meal. We have been back every week since :) Took my mum there last week and she tried the veggie bao buns and she LOVED them. Wagyu burger is a fave and you can’t beat the steak and Parma nights. I suggest booking as it was packed! (The food comes out so quick too) To top it all off, all the staff are so friendly, always greeted with a smile and they seem genuinely happy so it looks like a great work culture too! Headed tonight and looking forward to it!

Great function area on the Rooftop. Good for all weather!

My wife and I had our intimate wedding ceremony and reception here upstairs on the rooftop. It was truely magical, the way the room was decorated the atmosphere was perfect. The staff mark and alyia were exceptional and made sure all our needs were met. My friend is a vegetarian so they made sure she had a good amount of veg options. The guests felt very looked after also. We will for sure be back to enjoy a meal again. Kyle and Emily

We attended a wedding here last night and I can’t say enough good things about this venue. The staff were sensational- so attentive and always smiling. I’m vegetarian and the lovely waitress came over to me severely times when she had a plate of vegetarian food. Something that often goes amiss at events so I was so grateful. The bar staff was so fun and really bought great energy to the space. The food here is a 10/10- this is coming from someone who is very fussy. Definitely get the mini pizzas they are a stand out! The space it self is so gorgeous with the fairy lights and all the stained wood. I would recommend this venue for any event, we had such a great night!

I love going here almost weekly for the steak night on Wednesday. They have a great upstairs seating area, which is awesome all year round but especially summer. The steaks are almost always cooked perfectly to my liking, and it's great value for both the porterhouse and the eye fillet. It's got a great character and vibe and i would recommend this pub to the lovers of classic Aussie pubs.

Had my birthday here the other night and although some things didn’t go to plan during the planning and organising process, the team made my night amazing with delicious food and going above and beyond to assist me during the the night when needed. thank you for having us xx

Have been here a few times and the service is always great, a lot of areas for eating or a casual drink. Pool tables and screens to watch the big games. Atmosphere is great overall. Recently hired the upstairs area for our company mid-year party and dealing with the staff throughout the entire process and on the night was so easy, personable and professional. Shout out to Mark who was so attentive and helpful during the setup of our party on the night. Great space upstairs with seated areas and room for DJ and dancing. Bar service was great too! Highly recommend Arcadia for your next function. Thanks again to Arcadia staff for making our company party such a success.
