Great family friendly. Nice apartment. Stunning pools

We booked a Xmas escape to relax & unwind. Each day we walked 400 - 500m to swim at the beach between the flags & about 50 steps to the heated pool. The room we stayed in was recently renovated & was very clean & practical. There's a locked garage with your own allocated spot & stairs located to your building.|The kitchen was well equipped.

We love Grande Florida Resort. We have been coming here for like 20 years. Nelson, Tyler and Kate always gives us the best customer service. And always willing to help us in any way they can. Thanks guys, we truly appreciate your support.

The Grande Florida Resort offers a fantastic location and a great pool, but unfortunately, that’s where the highlights end. While we did enjoy our stay, the condition of the property, particularly our 3-bedroom apartment (Room 131), left much to be desired, especially considering the price. The apartment was clean in the basic sense—floors and sheets were tidy—but it desperately needs a deep clean. Dust coated the fans and shutters, and the exhaust fan above the stove was clogged with oil and grease. These details made the space feel neglected. Beyond cleanliness, the apartment itself is in need of some much-needed updates. The shutters and screen doors are broken, the fans are outdated, and basic kitchen essentials like extra plates and bowls were missing. Outside the apartment, the stairwell carpet was filthy, and the carpark didn’t appear to have been cleaned in years. The gardens, while a nice feature, would greatly benefit from pruning and regular upkeep. Overall, the potential is there, but the lack of attention to detail and maintenance is disappointing. For the price we paid, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and care. I hope management invests in improving these aspects, as the resort has the foundation to provide a truly enjoyable experience with some effort and investment.

The guy at reception had a super friendly and relaxed presence which reflects the overall vibe of the resort. Such a beautiful place with amazing facilities. A tropical luxury for the whole family to enjoy. The sauna was the cherry on top for our family! Highly recommend :)

10 days of sheer delight

Close to the beach which was great. Rooms could be cleaner. Other than that, OK spot.

Be warned, there are no elevators in this complex so if you get a top floor apartment, it’s 6 flights of stairs, with luggage/groceries from the parking garage. ||That said, the apartment was a very good size, had all the amenities you need, including washing detergent for the clothes washer. Reception has a little shop you can buy essentials from and it’s directly across from the beach. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby and two sensational pools onsite, one heated and one not. ||We had a great stay and would come back again, but request a lower floor apartment.

This is my annual solo getaway. I would live here in a heartbeat. Nelson and his team are extremely friendly and hospitable. Apartments are clean, fully functional and comfortable. Location is perfect for walks with shops and cafes close by. Pool area is spectacular, surrounded by greenery. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

This is my happy place. I come here every year from Melbourne. I would live here if I could. The surroundings are perfect and close walk to necessities including shops, great Cafe around the corner. Thanks Nelson and team. I will be back next year for sure.

I booked five, and only 3 have all that we require. Two need updating, like kitchen pots pan untenl. New TV remote bathrooms needed updating in two places and new curtains?

Very tidy room may need a couple upgrades other than that it was a comfortable stay for our holiday and the place was amazing and local to everything you need. Close to beach was a great family holiday

Grande Florida Beachside Resort - Beautiful air-conditioned family accommodation with direct beach access, heated swimming pool, spa, games room, onsite bbqs and in room cooking facilities. Our room was clean with 2 bedrooms. Plenty of space. Kitchen, living room with TV and dining area. Master bedroom with ensuite and very comfortable bed and second bedroom with one king bed or two singles. Bathroom has washing machine too which came in handy. Very nice service at reception together with a small convenience store. Really nice beachfront Cafe and the Surf Club around the corner and Supermarket and other restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of basement parking with enough clearance for our 8 seater van! Walk straight up to your room. Can’t wait to come back with family and friends and stay at Grande Florida Beachside Resort!

We had a wonderful family holiday here - two huge pools which the kids lived in, clean quiet appartment and right across from the beach. On checkin the reception combined our bookings when they realised we would need to move half way through the stay even tho this created work for them to juggle other bookings to make sure it worked out for everyone. Great location and good value. Definitely will be back.

Great oasis. Self-contained apartments, 2 or three bedrooms. Short stroll through private lane to the patrolled beach. Two large pools, one heated. Older style though well looked after. Blend of permanent residents and tourists.

We recently had a 4 day stay here, just a fabulous place for families. Our top floor room was extremely modern and maintained aswell as super comfortable. The car parking was convenient and the 100 meter beach access was terrific. Both pools were just beautiful and really good for kids. The gaming room was a fun addition and the staff were lovely people. Hoping to return soon and definitely recommended to anyone.

Stayed there for a week. Nice modern apartment overlooking the pools even though it was three flights of stairs to get there. The two pools, one heated were great and our grandson loved them. You won't get bigger or better pools anywhere. Good location on a quiet street with bus stops near by. Private walkway through to beach. Staff were friendly and helpful in booking theme park tickets. Owen, the manager, was particularly helpful in sorting out a couple of transport issues we had. Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay, nice pool with beautiful palms and gardens which lead to the beach, unit was really nice though needed a really good clean, and was a little noisy as we had the gates at our bedroom windows , staff were very helpful..

Stay here every time to visit Gold Coast. Perfect resort for families, great facilities, fantastic staff very accommodating and friendly, lovely rooms every thing you need, great location and 2 magnificent pools. Can’t speak highly enough of this place. Absolutely love it

All 5 stars this Resort. Room was great with balcony overlooking one of the beautiful lagoon pools nestled amongst fantastic gardens and palm trees. Nelson and crew answered all queries and accommodated any requests. And the Resort location was probably the best part, with the Ocean and Beach out the back gate, and Resort located only a couple of kms on the Surfers P side of Burleigh. Definitely be back here and hopefully soon. It's Gold Coast's hidden secret.

Fantastic family friendly resort style accommodation, featuring two pools and walking access to Miami beach. There is a simple games room with a pool table and a table tennis table. The only missing element is a fitness centre. We will definitely be back the next time we visit the Gold Coast

Grounds and communal areas well maintained and great spaces. |1 apartment we rented was great - apartment 131. It was very clean and well maintained. The other however was a completely different experience. ||Apartment 163, was old and in desperate need for fresh paint, new furniture and furnishings. The only part of the apartment that was fresh were the bathrooms (maybe they have been renovated?) with the exception of a power point handing off the wall exposing all wiring. |The main bedroom had lamps that were cracked due to the age and rust on the bases. Curtains were thin with some broken hooks so they didn't close. Dust all up the walls. It needs a serious overhaul. The worst part is that we came home one evening and the whole building including our apartment smelt of weed. |I did let the front desk know about all the above and was just told that each apartment is owned separately and maintained by the owners which I can appreciate however, I would have thought (Like many other) the resort would have a certain standard of maintenance and upkeep for the owner to adhere to? |The weed issue was mentioned to being apartment 166 which is across the hall. This is a known issue for this apartment and they have been told not to smoke in the building but being a permanent rental not much can be done. So with that being said, the potency of the smell I would highly recommend if you choose to stay here to ask not to be in this building at all especially if you have small children like myself. |

Worth it just for the great double pools !

My partner and I stayed there for 3 nights. The place was clean and in a perfect spot with a very short walk to the beach. The extra blanket may not have been washed recently as it was dusty as it caused my partner to sneeze whenever we used it and the parking spot we had was particularly difficult to get into. But the staff were lovely and everything else was great. We'd happily stay there again

Very nice in Miami!!!

Have been there a few times to stay when my children were little and also now a couple times with my grandchildren, this time very disappointed we were away from the family in room 1 it had a really bad smell when we arrived, our daughter complained so they sprayed it which didn't help , I cleaned the mirror in the bathroom and the cloth turned black, it needs refinishing very old we were not impressed. Will not go back. I must say though great pools for the young ones

We love Grande Florida - it is not the fanciest place on the Goldy but it is one of the friendliest with an awesome location and the best pools.

Location was great, 2-3 mins walk to beach, there is ALDI nearby and other stores Service was awesome, very friendly and welcoming staff. Awesome swimming pool. Room/accommodation requires cleaning / maintenance and has old furniture, not impressive.

Beautiful place

We booked a family holiday with 3 rooms for 6 adults and 3 kids. Have stayed here before about 25 years ago. The gardens and pool area with BBQ facilities are fantastic. The team in the office and very helpful. Access to the beach via a path out the back is awesome and only a 2min walk. Standard of the rooms does vary due to private ownership however are on the later side, pool view balconies, kitchen and washing machine/dryer etc. so great for a family. Would stay again.

Our experience was the same as mentioned in the below post from Kelly W. |When we entered the room, there was an extremely strong smell of bleach, so the cleaners had been there, but the floor was not clean.|I requested a renovated or updated room due to some of the comments and we were told ours was. It was dated, basic and it was clear the owner didn’t really care. The kitchen was old, it was a challenge to cook, ensuite door didn’t close, artwork fallen off the wall and the beds were hard, the worst we have sleep on while on holidays. |The pools are great, and the reason you would consider coming here |The location is also great, it’s very low-key and not as crowded as other areas of the GC. |Unfortunately, I think that the days of this place being full of holidaymakers is behind it. For such a busy period there was only ever up to 10 families or couples across to massive pools, and it became obvious that most of the units now are owned, not holiday rentals. I suspect this is why many comments around the average condition of the units and unfortunately it just didn’t have a holiday vibe over Christmas.|Unfortunately, it felt well short of our expectations.

We have enjoyed our 3 weeks at resort very much. Lagoon pools are amazing and staff was very friendly and always ready to help. We will be back next year.

I love this place. Nelson and the team make sure everything is great while you are there. I have stayed at Grande Florida many times and intend to return each year.

Visiting a friend Absolutely beautiful

I am just going to hope that I was the only one who had a room with mouldy dishes. This place was disgusting! Also, we weren't allowed to go into our room because the FRIDGE wasn't WORKING! Why! Make sure your stuff works before you allow visitors!

Off the bat, this place is a bit old, so don't expect brand new. However, in saying that, the room we had was great, fantastic deck, amazing heated pool, great location. Was mostly families staying, so no issues with raucous other guests. The pool is very sheltered, so even when it's a bit windy outside, it's lovely by the pool. The apartments are individually owned, so the furniture is variable. The room we had was very nicely furnished with decent deck furniture. Also some games in the room. Games room was good but a bit beat up, from our short experience due to unruly guest kids.... By the pool, barbecue areas and chairs. Cleaners and gardeners out most mornings, which was nice. Overall, very positive experience and I'd recommend to others who don't mind a few minor maintenance issues. Good beds and showers too, which to me is the most important thing! Our room also had some good things like chilly bags and bags for taking to the beach. Also had towels. We took towels due to other reviews, but didn't need them. Great laundry. Recommend checking cupboards to see what is there before you go grocery shopping! There is a Coles within walking distance too, which was helpful.

Fantastic spot to stay with the family. Easy access to the beach and shops only a few minutes walk away, plus the office stocks all the basics like milk, bread, cereal, ice creams etc which is really handy. The staff were helpful and the kids loved the pools. We would definitely go back.

The grounds & pools are lovely but that’s where it ends. Our 3 bedroom apartment was very dated which would be ok if it was clean but that was not the case. Management needs to do a big overhaul of their housekeeping practises urgently. The state of this apartment was completely unacceptable. Mould on blinds, dust flying off ceiling fans, stained linen & carpet, not even enough cutlery provided for the number of occupants … the list goes on. |VERY disappointing given the high price tag for substandard accommodation.

Absolutely amazing..This resort was perfect for our family..We stayed here 20 years ago and bought our kids back here with there kids was just beautiful...Pool area BBQ area was great..always clean and tidy...The apartments were fantastic...best place to have a wonderful holiday...A 2 min walk to the beach...awesome...loved it

Quite run down and needs a lot of maintenance bpth in our appartment which is privately owned and the common areas managed by the resort management. Considering prices charged, it could be better. Heated lagoon swimming pool is one the best hotel pools I've used.

Grande Florida was a great stay. The pools are spectacular, particularly the heated pool as we were there in August. Easy walk to the beach. Good value.

My family & I stayed at the resort for 3 weeks back in Feb/March of this year. When we were searching for a place to stay we had a list of requirements including a full kitchen, laundry, pool, wifi, close to the beach & 3 bedrooms. Grande Florida fit the bill perfectly. Our large room became or home away from home during our time in Australia. My parents also got a room there so they could spend as much time with the grandkids as possible. Not only is it close to the beach, it is a stones throw from the Nobbys Beach shops & has easy access north & south via the GC Hwy. Perfect for any tourists wanting to see what the GC has to offer. We practically lived in the pool (there's two & one is heated). The staff were great, nothing was ever a hassle for them. Not much else to say, top notch all the way.

Visited after 20 year gap. The place is looking really tired. Looked at a 2 bed apartment in the hope of looking to stay here next year. Unfortunately it wasn't for us. If you have kids and want affordable holiday accommodation with great swimming pools. Give it a go but ask for an apartment above ground floor. You will get more sunlight.

Great family resort

Family friendly. Has 2 huge gorgeous pools- one even heated for the little ones. Free Sauna too. Plus a games room which had archades complete with free credits so the kids/adults can have more free fun. Facility and accomodation was clean. Rooms spacious. We had 2 toilets,2 bathrooms with a fully functional kitchen and laundry/dryier. Very convinient. Also has direct beach access. But aside from all that, the excellent customer service of Nelson is what granted the 5 star review. He was the cafe barista, the receptionist, the manager, the cleaner, the baby sitter organiser, the handy man, the 24 hr service guide for his hotel guests..etc. What a hard working one man hotel army. (surely not sustainable though!)

Really great location. Very friendly reception staff. Handy to the beach and nice and quiet. My one suggestion is for guests staying longer than 8 nights would be to offer the apartment service half way through the stay. We stayed 8 nights and no point being serviced the day before we check out.

Great Place, Tidy Modern, Awesome friendly helpful staff, Nice resort style holiday accommodation. The rooms even though fairly modern had a few very minor things that needed some fixing. (door locks didn't work, No exhaust fans in the bathrooms or laundry room so it got very hot in there on a day that was already very hot & humid outside)....but other than that,....definitely recommend this place, family friendly, well maintained grounds, great pools!! Value for money compared to what we were initially going to book! Glad we found GFBR we will be back!

My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary and highly highly recommend this place. The room was very clean and spacious. Had beautiful views from our balcony of the pool. Pool was beautiful, clean and warm. Beach was literally behind the resort which was perfect. Perfect location. Most things are at a walking distance, or short drive away. The staff at the resort were all extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Grande Florida.

Just spent a very relaxing 4 days at Grande Florida, it was very last minute as our weekend plans fell through, so with only 3 days notice the Manager, Nelson, was able to squeeze us in by and provide a 2 bedroom unit.|we do visit this resort most every year and know the place and Nelson well, but this visit he went above and beyond to assist.

first time visiting and we have already booked for 2024. Close to everything , great pools , close to beach, had everything we needed. Absolutely loved it, front office were helpful and friendly, as was Nelson.

We have consistently stayed at the Grande Florida for annual QLD holiday for 10 years. Each year, we are always politely welcomed. The 2 & 3 bedroom apartments are ALWAYS well kept and we’ve noticed the upgrades to the amenities over the years. Well located on the Gold Coast. Both pools are delightful and impeccably clean. The staff always available and nothing is ever too much trouble. Even going above and beyond, to ensure our favourite room is available to us, each year, upon our request. I highly recommend requesting a ground level room if travelling with toddlers. 4 stories high, gets a bit much on tired little legs (& Mumma’s at times. haha) speaking from experience. Pack your own beach/pool towels, if you prefer a dry one - post shower. Downside: For our most recent stay, we were equipped with two toilet rolls for 2 toilets & minimal cleaning supplies for our 2 week stay, the kitchen didn’t have any cooking utensils (spatula, tongs etc) & the vacuum hadn’t be emptied in a long time.

It was a great place to stay, with either friends or the family. The pool area was awesome.

Was better than what we were expecting.. heated pools, bbq, washer and dryer and nice clean and spacious apartment. Its close to the beach and has safe secure car parking. Awesome place. If we come back to the GC we will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed a week in a 2 bedroom apartment. Staff were very friendly. Pool, Gardens and BBQ were excellent. Apartment was clean, beds were very comfortable and lots of space. The area was very quiet and close to Burleigh heads and the beach.On the downside we were on the top floor and being in our late 60s it was a bit of a chore, not the resorts fault just something to bear in mind when you book. The pots and frying pan were pretty disgusting and we had to scrub them before we used them. First we had to buy something to clean them with. There is very little supplied, it would be good if the property advised this prior to booking. I would stay here again and hopefully some improvements will be made

The resort is really beautiful, close to the beach and it has an amazing heated pool. The room was spacious with an ensuite and laundry. The only downside was the cleanliness. One night we wanted to cook dinner but unfortunately the pot, some cutlery and plates were dirty. They actually had old food dried up on them. Also some of the draws in the bathroom had bits of hair still in them. There was no hand-soap near the bathroom sinks for washing hands (just body wash) and I couldn’t find a box of tissues. We hope to return and hopefully find our apartment in a better state.

Spent 2 weeks at Grande Florida in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment from 1/9/22. Never have I arrived for a stay in such a poorly cleaned apartment, on day 2 after I asked at reception for cleaning products to do ourselves, we did receive a visit by the Manager Nelson who attended to the details I listed for him. I am well aware that there is a shortage of staff all over Australia at present but that's no excuse. It was also very poorly equipped in the kitchen department, 2 large saucepans only & a large frying pan, no fridge crisper & the broom & vacuum head had not been cleaned of long black female hair for many months. Nothing small enough to boil an egg or store any food stuffs, in fact I resorted to buying & leaving containers in the apartment. Apart from the location & beautiful pool areas which suits families with children, I would not recommend the resort.
