The location is good, the room was of decent size. The only thing I found strange was they don’t change the bedding. I stayed there for 7 nights and not once the bedding was changed. The breakfast same, not much options to choose for , specially for vegetarians. The room amenities were good.

Modern rooms with comfy bed, loved the pillow selection. Breakfast was surprisingly really good too, big selection compared to others in Adelaide. I stayed one night and the parking was one exit pass only which was really disappointing.

Heart of Adelaide with close proximity to public transport, attractions and parking. Parking charges you 25 every time you leave the carpark which is quite inconvenient when you want to be site seeing.

Terrible, terrible venue and really poorly managed. IHG are appalling as they do not honour their Best Rate Guarantee programme ever. Resigned to that, reluctantly, but still no excuse for the room and treatment we had at this hotel. Room assigned next to the lifts and could feel the vibrations whilst on the bed. Room itself grubby and poorly maintained. Soap dispenser didn't work... tried to clean it myself and nearly chucked up at the pubes that emerged. We didn't use the shower and the 'space saving' design of the toilet leaves nothing to the imagination of one's fellow guests. Location is awful: apparently this was a former red light area in Adelaide? Limited security and hotel is down a grungy alley. Our Uber couldn't even get in because of the refuse truck parked across the entrance. Usual eau de pee pee as you walk down the alley as well. Multiple massage shops all around the hotel... what more can you ask for. You'll sense we were disappointed. The cap for me was on checking out... stood patiently in the queue then when my turn came the receptionist ignored me and started getting the suitcase for the lady (originally) behind me. Patently discriminating against myself and/or my wife. We were then asked 'was everything in your stay great'? No, it was a shambles. Utter shambles. They have the cheek to charge around $200 AUD for this place. Dreadful. I'd raise a proper complaint but they'd likely not respond. If anything in this review helps others though to throw a swerve, that is recompense enough. Hotel has my contact details... waiting for the email to drop. Not.

Central to bars, restaurants, shopping, public transport and even car hire. Very quiet considering its location. Rooms were clean with a modern bathroom, nice personal products and a great shower. Car park conveniently next door. Reception service very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast offered various options, but was limited if you have dietary requirements with no alternatives for gluten or dairy free. Value for money city stay.

Holiday Inn Express surprised me. As a late night guest rocking in after a flight around midnight, I was warmly greeted and accomodated extensively by staff. Despite having a large car that wouldn't fit in the underground carpark, staff also made special provision and exceptions for this which I am grateful for. I wasn't expecting grand, but the cleanliness of the room, and even the breakfast provisions surprised me. I had stayed somewhere else in another state the past few days and the room cleanliness was no match for IHG

Stayed a few time now and always have a pleasant stay. Hotel is clean, standard stuff where everything works - hassle free.. The staff make the place - always friendly and attentive - notably on the last visit the restaurant/breakfast staff (Emma and colleagues).

One thing that lets us down was amenities eg Toiletries eg no toothpaste, toothbrush, razor and etc. This items should be available. Staff should advise clients that it is available prior to checking in or giving to clients. Not putting a signage in the bathroom corner un noticeable. Room requested not granted. No views.

Clean and comfy room. Hotel is quite new and all amenities look great. Breakfast choice was a bit limited (not many options if you cannot eat gluten). Staff was friendly and competent. Street can be a bit noisy in the evening/night but had no issues sleeping

Our overnight stay was a comfortable stay beginning with the checking in process to sipping a tea upon room arrival. The breakfast had good food choices too. The drawback is this excessively long survey though. Too many variations of the same query.

I made a direct booking for two rooms for four nights on hotel website, and even received the reminder email and the stay information on the IHG app. However, upon arrival, the front desk couldn’t find my booking. My family and I had to wait over 20 minutes before finally getting the rooms. The next morning, another staff member tried to charge me different rates from the reservation I had made. Useless hotel booking system There is no doubt that the location was good. But the entrance was in an ally, not on the Main Street.

Overall, we were satisfied with the hotel, its location, and its cleanliness. The receptionist was very kind. We stayed in an upper-floor room with a beautiful city and sea view, and it was truly magnificent. Being an IHG member can be quite beneficial. However, we found the breakfast to be lacking, so I had to deduct one star for that. The sunset is truly breathtaking.

Stayed here with my mother for a few days to attend a convention and we were very happy with our room, though there was some initial confusion as we thought we had booked a guaranteed twin-bed room, only to find out it was merely a 'request'. Regardless, another room with twin beds was available and the problem was quickly resolved. Our room included a kettle and fridge. The only strange part was the bathroom design, which included semi-see through glass; if you have the light off in the main part of the bedroom you get a good outline of the profile of the person showering, so privacy isn't fantastic if you're sharing a room with non-family members. Breakfast was included with our room and had a great variety of options (cereal, fruit, yoghurt, hot breakfast etc). We were a few floors up so we didn't have any issues with noise. Air conditioning and heating was available. Staff were able to store our luggage for us before check-in. Location is fantastic as you are near two tram stops and the main shopping district, as well as several fast food places. Would definitely stay here again!

We recently stayed at this cbd located hotel and our experience with the hotel is following: a) check in was really quick and staff member was helpful. I was told hotel guest can park next door 3 party parking place and hotel provides one voucher exit permit for each night. If the guest exceeds the limit, they have to pay 25 dollar per exit. b) hotel room was spacious and good for a couple. c) Breakfast comes with the hotel room booking and the food was really good l, specially those little Nutella pastry. d) hotel is located very near to star city casino and Adelaide central station and near to all kinds of amenities and public transport. Our overall experience was wonderful and staff members are professional and eager to help. We will be back to this hotel when visiting Adelaide again.

The cleanliness, friendly staff, and comfort, all at a reasonable price for this central location, keeps us coming back. The breakfast is great and it sets us up for the day without having to go searching for somewhere to eat early in the morning.

Very convenient location with comfortable rooms, but breakfast lacked variety. Perhaps it was during the busy period, but the food kept on running out and the restaurant didn’t have enough room to accommodate everyone.

Budget is a good descriptor. Every morning it’s a dogfight to get a table or cutlery. Very overcooked tasteless “eggs” or industrial equivalent with a consistency of cake, if you can get them. Raised to the staff multiple times without any changes. Long queues to get food, coffee or tea. You should not promise breakfast if this is your delivery. There is no kale, tomatoes, sausages, spinach or anything else you would expect on breakfast buffet in a cafe down the road. There is yogurt, muesli, toast. Fresh fruit is only cut oranges, no mixed fruit salad. Breakfast was the reason we chose this hotel and it was a reasonable price. Unfortunately it wasn’t delivered upon. They will rip away the breakfast items on the dot without warning anyone or asking anyone if they want more. The bed is ok, but it seems worn, sagging, and I raised it to the front desk and they sent someone that then told me to talk to the front desk again. The blockout blind is good. The bathroom and shower is good. The location is fantastic. The “gym”/fitness centre does not have enough weights to be useful. Fine if you want to use the treadmill. I wanted to use the meeting room to have a zoom call on my laptop but was not allowed to do that. The lobby is quite noisy to work in. There is no complimentary coffee or tea available in the lobby outside breakfast (only in the room), and no stevia.

We have stayed here a few times now and it is great value for money, unfortunately though our friends booked through a third party provider and got a much better deal with $1 parking. I was disappointed that the staff were not able to honour this deal seeing as we are members.

I really enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Express Adelaide. It is conveniently located with so many things to see and do within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. I love the shower and bathroom products! The included breakfast is such great value. A great range of foods and fresh. Staff were lovely and friendly. I will definitely be back so I can explore Adelaide city more!

Brilliantly located hotel for access to Adelaide Oval and as a result there were an awfully large number of people arriving simultaneously for the cricket. The queues were long and moved very quickly and the staff were patient and efficient the whole time. Particular shout out to Kim behind the bar and Emma at breakfast. There were a couple of curious things in the room and raised those with reception so unlikely to be a future problem. While the gluten free options were limited it was not a case of there being not enough. And the bar prices seemed quite generous and it has very long opening hours. The whole experience was a pleasant surprise.

A great location with a comfortable room with sensational blackout blinds. Breakfast included was an unexpected bonus. Happy hour was also a nice surprise.

Had most enjoyable experience from front desk, bar and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs and could not fault service at all. Room met expectations and central location a block away from station, walking distance from Rundle Mall made position a winner. Will be back!.

(2.5 stars) My room had what you needed for a short (three day) stay. The bed was reasonably comfy, the pillows good enough though probably because there were four and I could mix and match. It was clean. Chromecasting to the TV was easy. I would have liked bottled water each night. The view however was ugly and desolate. The included breakfast was okay: it inspired me to go out and pay for better one morning at Elementary coffee roasters. It was served in the first floor lobby-come-bar-come-dining-area that was cheery with different style spots to sit, some with power points for those who can’t get a late enough checkout. Despite being an IHG rewards member I was only offered an hour later. The hotel was within easy walking distance of my conference at the Adelaide Convention Centre, and of enough restaurant of reasonable calibre to take care of my evening dining needs. Try Udaberri if you’d like to see the best of them. Beyond the view, my only gripe was the unstable shelf in the door of the in-room fridge: pulling it open caused a glass bottle to fly out and smash all over the carpet. While housekeeping did come to clean up the glass upon request, they did a barely adequate job so I was avoiding glass shards for the rest of the stay.

This hotel staff is too busy, I have requested several times to bring amenity goods by their QR code but I haven't received anything durning my stay 5 nights. Then after check out, they forgot to email my bill to me and ignore my reminder email until my Australian colleague call directly twice. There experience made me very frustrated. To be honest, it was my worst experience of IHG. I recommend IHG is cosidering getting rid of this hotel from IHG unless the shortage of manpower would be resolved.

The breakfast area has quite a variety of bakery, coffee, and tea. Staff are quick to clean up the tables. Amenities in the room is minimal. Check in staff has not heard of Ambassador member even though she recognizes ihg member.

We stayed 3 nights here before we go on the cruise , the hotel excellent location allowed us to explore Adelaide cbd & sights at ease . The amenities and breakfast were fantastic , but best of all is the wonderful customer service . Could not ask for anything better , beyond 5 stars

I had a fantastic stay in this hotel during my visit to Adelaide. The hotel is located in the CBD and is near to parks and many establishments. The front officer staff is very helpful and granted my request to have a late checkout. Breakfast buffet options are very good. I would definitely stay here when I visit Adelaide again.

The room was small but sufficient, offering a typical standard similar to Ibis/Best Western and the likes. The luggage bench was notably small, making it a bit inconvenient for larger bags. ||||Breakfast was included, which was a plus, but it was fairly average—not much to rave about. The king-sized bed felt a bit flimsy and could benefit from a thicker, more comfortable mattress protector. ||||On the brighter side, the TV featured Chromecast, which was handy for streaming. Overall, a no-frills stay with some useful conveniences, but comfort could be improved.

On the 23rd of October I stayed here and they took $50 holding fee on my credit card. I rang to request the release 1week later. 1 week later I rang again. Still no action. Now I month on I rang and they asked me for my bank details to look into it. I rang head office and they too are no help. I now have to report a fraudulent activity on my account and reissue the card. Do NOT stay with these very unhelpful place.

We enjoyed our stay, the bed was pretty comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. We didn't use any other facility other than our rooms bathroom but that had everything we needed to make our stay feel a little like home.

Efficient breakfast, very clean and comfortable room with bright lighting – not dull or gloomy. Bathroom shower had perfect water pressure and hot water. Very comfortable for a three-night stay. Cons: Entrance late at night felt uninviting with the lifts, no complimentary water bottles, and missing essential toiletries like soap (disinfectant), had to ask for toothpaste.

This hotel is in a really good location, close to restaurants and in the middle of the city. It was inexpensive, and provided breakfast, which was a plus. If you're going to need parking, make sure you know this before you make your booking, so you don't get slugged $25 every time you want to exit the carpark.

You don't have views from your room but the position gives easy walking access to places like Rundle mall and the train and trams. Buffet breakfast every morning is a nice bonus although car parking is next door and costs $25 per exit as it is managed externally. Accessible rooms for elderly and disability impaired people are available.

Best Thai food next door and best desserts around the corner. Parking is free once a day next door. Be careful when you come out to use the right exit or it's a long walk around the block. Rooms are clean tidy, modern and the dining for breakfast is clean, modern and comfortable. Better suited to one person and not a couple due to the limited seating.The staff are helpful. We stayed for a week using it as a base, the teas and coffee situation is very basic so get your own milk and teas if staying long. We slept well with limited noise ( room 525) no views but hey, it's the city and this is an inn. We loved the access to everything. There is a gym and a laundry if needed. Oh and you don't need to leave your room, to top up on Poké mon catches and gyms 😛

Non ci ha nemmeno fatto il check-in subito appena ci siamo presentati, sostenendo di doverci fare tornare alle 14.00. Peccato che la nostra prenotazione partisse dal giorno precedente e, ammesso che noi non abbiamo insistito, lei non ci ha nemmeno chiesto chi fossimo per verificare. In sostanza abbiamo dovuto aspettare inutilmente ore per un servizio che avevamo pagato,a causa anche della indisponenza di questa ragazza. Per il resto, gli altri colleghi incontrati sono stati gentilissimi e disponibili nel prenotare i vari taxi e nel predisporre le colazioni in box che avevamo chiesto e anche nel consigliarci cosa visitare durante in giorno.

It was wonderful to check in to the Adelaide Holiday Express after our Ghan trip. We chose to return from Darwin via Adelaide to enjoy the comfort of the hotel as it always feels like coming home. The Holiday Inn express brand has been a favourite since our first stay in Frankfurt many years ago. The rooms are comfortable, a good bed, a great shower and excellent wifi. Morning breakfast is always good. The location in Adelaide is close to restaurants, bars and the public transport. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Adelaide.

We had a business meeting and due to a very noisy function in their main area we asked that we use a room that was not being used to do a teleconference - they said only for $100 per hour. We offered $100 for 2hrs, they declined. Despite our group having 7 people booked into the hotel for several nights. Rooms are tiny, bathrooms so tiny uses the same door for the shower and the bathroom door Service unhelpful, and messed up our rooms. One manager had to sleep in a single bed and then checkout of his room after the first night and move to a different room Location is in the same area as about 20 “massage parlours” and 50m from the crazy horse strip club. And very noisy at night with street buskers.

Perfect location, close to restaurant, train and tram station, and shopping areas. Staff were friendly, helpful and friendly. The room was tidy. However, the breakfast was terrible, many people were waiting for the staff to refill the coffee machines, eggs, fruits, etc. Also, there was no bottle water in the room…. I had to go to the reception to buy some water at midnight, and the staff didn’t know the price ...

4.5 stars.. the hotel stay was a great experience. The staff were friendly during check in and when we had queries over the car park voucher as well as checking out. Ranjita was very helpful during happy hour with the beer and carpark issues.. It can get very crowded during breakfast, and things do run out quickly. But I noticed the young servers do their best to clear tables as well as refill. Perhaps a more senior guy can help to manage the replenishment as well as the crowd ie to give the customers more assurance that things are in control. I say this because of the last review by Mark. And also the sudden surge of people during breakfast was indeed scary!!! But me and wife liked the spread as well as the choices of coffee and drinks. If you are early enough, you do get toasties which later on, i.e., after 8 am, there wouldn't be any left. Rooms are simple but comfortable with kettle and instant beverages. Toilet was clean and the swing door was interesting.. hot or cold water no problems. Wished they had instant access to YouTube or Netflix instead of TV mirroring services.. I couldn't get that to work. Meanwhile the competitive proposition of this hotel must be the car park vouchers!! It's just next to a multi story carpark and its so convenient. Rundle mall is only 100m away. And just opposite the hotel is a huge police station. Well security is not an issue then. The entrance is on the side road though and u can miss it. But has good space for a few cars to park whilst you check in or out! Will recommend to others

I was pleasantly surprised after arriving at the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the location was perfect - in the heart of everything.
