Great place, i do recommend it for a wine party with friends & family. Pricing is a bit steep. You can still have a good experience with the beautiful ambience around here.

Great venue for live music, especially the bands Eleven Days and Magnetic. Good food and service. We always go when these two bands are playing, and enjoy dinner first. Thankyou for giving live bands a chance to show their talents.

Went this evening to get some steaks. Overall the hotel itself is in a lovely location and has lovely outdoor seating. Ordered two steaks medium rare, a rump $30 and a tbone $42. These both came out medium/well done My partner went to inform staff as from working in hospitality it can be hard to know quality of meals going out in high turnover businesses but assumed they would like to know. Their bar tender told my partner he was incorrect and it is medium. He informed her we did not want them remade or a refund, purely to let them know. She was quite rude and abrupt with him. For future interactions I recommend staff do not treat clientele as though they are stupid. It was a disappointing experience and we would not recommend to others. The lady at the bar was speaking to the previous customer in a very friendly manner but as soon as he left and she was asking for our order her tone changed, started to speak to us rudely didn't greet us and not even a smile from someone who was just laughing with another customer. Then proceeds to bring our beer which she spilled and the glass was covered in fizz and hard to hold and she doesnt even offer a napkin, doesnt say sorry. It doesnt cost anything to be NICE" and specially when you're getting paid to do so."

Recently saw a friend's band Yesterday's Heroes performing in the function room...great space...well maintained...bar staff were great...would highly recommend other artists to create a ticketed event here to showcase their music...also a great room for other functions...T 🙏💜💜💜

By far the worst pub meal I’ve ever had. The wings were bland the Guinness cheese sauce had no Guinness and the cheese was solidified in melted butter. The Guinness pie was cold. The Irish stew was watery and had star anise in it, not very Irish at all. I do not recommend 🤢

Very dissapointed. Customer service was rude. Food was bland. I ordered a 300g beef snitty(as shown on menu) & when it come out, lucky if it was 150g. I mentioned to the lady that it was not the snitty as on the menu & she was dismissive & rude. They ended up bringing out another snitty but reluctantly,. Daughter's chicken snitty wasnt the best either. No smile, no thank you, no sorry from her. It was like we were an inconvenience

Waited an hour for our order - food was below average

We waited an hour, and had to ask about our meal. Then it can out very thin and overcooked steak with mushroom sauce that was tiny amount and lumpy. The pub was not at all busy on a Sunday night. All salads were different and thrown together. Some of the salads had cucumber and the others didn’t. it was a very disappointing meal.

After waiting over an hour, approached the bar was told they had a function on and someone had called in sick. Fair enough, the usual wait for a pub meal is no more than 30 minutes. The correct patronage is the offer a drink or something on the house. Apart from the function, the dining room was practically empty.

Swung by the pub a few days ago and I am still thinking about my experience! The food and staff were absolutely wonderful! Wanted to give a special thank you Sam in the front bar, he was attentive and very understanding of some of our dietary needs, as well as pouring great guinesses, will be back again!

Good value on the 'special' meals - staff pleasant - the old hotel & it's history to the area pre 1900 - the old decor reminds us of times gone by.

It just does not feel irish.no crack,the bar didnt know what a cafreys is? Though signs all over selling it lol. Service in restarant was lacking,to be sure. No irish hospitality here to be sure...

Booked a table for 2 and it was tucked in the corner of the pub with both of us facing the wall so we moved tables. Ordered the parmy, it was pretty average. Then 2 blokes at the bar who appeared to be locals (and appeared to be drug affected) were shouting and whooping randomly. We moved to another pub as soon as we ate. Won't be going back again.

Went for group training. The a/c was inefficient, staff neglected to provide adequate cutlery for morning tea nor lunch, atmosphere in conference room was barn like. Food was nothing special, pub food

Delicious steak lunch, with salad and chips. Nice and quiet, excellent surroundings, clean and staff friendly and helpful. Table in the library with fire.

UPDATE! No longer have $15 rump meal deals. $15 rump meal deals on Tuesday real good value for money. Steaks came out nicely cooked to my preference. Chips and salad were spot on. No faults, has free parking at the back to top off. Recommended to anyone who’s looking for a good meal any day.

I enjoyed eating here for a long time on Tuesdays getting the $15 rump steak deal. Unfortunately I walked in last week and the has doubled in price. Until the deal comes back I'll have to take my business elsewhere.

I'm here with a large group of blues fans. Menus advertising bar snacks. Went ro get some. None! They've stopped serving at eight thirty. How pathetic! What's the point of bar snacks?
