A nice place, beer was cold. I didn't partake in having a meal. In my opinion it was a bit expensive.

Came to this place to meet up with a friend for lunch. Food was a okay, but bit expensive. Surprised to see there was no salad/veg bar or bread rolls. Staff service was basically non existent & that’s putting it kindly, no hello or goodbye, nobody asking how our meals were etc. As someone visiting Adelaide this hotel left a lot to be desired, will find another place for lunch next time I return to Adelaide.

Staff behind bar had no common courtesy or respect for patrons or any level of manners. The bar wench was asked to stop being so bad mannered and rude and cease speaking to paying customers in the empty dead lunch time slot and she responded with most pathetic response of my “you trying to hurry me and I was trying to get your drink” when asked if I should pay with card now. She was ill mannered and had a revolting smirk on her face & when asked her was it an imposition to have to serve patrons her pathetic service and reply was pathetic “sorry you FEEL this way”? As that was her attitude towards her customers as clearly I was inconveniencing her day by purchasing a soft drink with lunch. Really gone downhill this place lately. Used to come often but they get meals from the prepackaged premade prepared caterer multipack of fake food and charge for it. I get better prepared processed premade that comes in Mccains microwave meal. Make it a miss if you have a choice for somewhere better class establishments elsewhere

Went here to catch up with a mate who was staying in a motel near by, walked in there was nobody to greet us or anywhere to be seen. Walked around decided to seat ourselves. Ordered food and drink with the QR code. The guy said here's your drink nothing else. The Waiter who got us the food was a bit better. But said very little. I had to ask for my mates Pepsi Max as it wasn't brought to us. The food was overpriced especially for the lack of customer service, you can get the same else where with much better service. The Gravy was a bit watery and lumpy. As we left no good by from the bald guy at the staff who gave me my beer. Definitely wouldn't recommend Definitely wouldn't go again. Better customer service at McDonald's . But I paid alot more for a beer and a meal.

Served by Charlie last night, he was amazing. All 12 people at the table commented on his service. He was attentive, friendly, and lovely. Vibe is great, drinks offerings are great. Menu offers different meals to typical hotel meals which is nice and meal sizes are all quite large.

Good food. Nice beers on tap. Lots of cosy spots, even a kids playground. Beared guy that served us was great..will be back

Food is very expensive when compared to other places. A chicken Cesar salad will set you back $38 which is insane.

Booked into the kids area only because of the playground, told on arrival that would not be possible despite this being the only reason we booked there for dinner, no offer of a free drink or compensation at all

incredibly disappointed by the food here! i ordered the vego burger - it came out with an awfully battered eggplant “patty” which had zero flavour and the texture was unpleasant. would not return here! staff were friendly and quick with service, however cannot look past the poor quality of food. also felt overpriced for what we go.

Well done Parkside Hotel for putting on some great free school holiday activities to enjoy with delicious meals and drinks. Great staff too who were very accommodating. We will definitely be back thank you!

Great staff at this pub. Beer and air-con was nice and cold. Live music duo in the beer-garden were fantastic! Perfect spot for a hot summer day. Cheers folks.

Bit hot and noisy

The Parkside Hotel has always been great when I've been in the past. The most recent lunch was a huge let down. There seems to be an issue with the dishwasher as almost every cup and cutlery was dirty on arrival. Firstly a cup given to us already had lipstick on it. Then two seperate sets of cutlery still had crusted food on them on arrival. The cups we got with table water had sticky syrup on the rims already. I ordered a cocktail and had to ask them to make another one as the first smelled like mildew, likely due to dirty cup/broken dishwasher. I honestly felt bad for staff as we had to ask for new dishes so often. Sadly this latest visit on 29/12/24 was a disappointment and I hope this is something that is seriously looked at.

Very kind, welcoming staff who consistently went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of and happy. I love the different sections to cater for all, including a playground and very vibey beer garden. Food and drinks also arrived fast.

Went for Christmas lunch and was very sorry we did. Unbelievable long waits between corses, no choice of menu, food was poor and stone cold. Would give zero stars if I could. For $120 per head you would think it would be at least reasonable but it was terrible and spoilt our Christmas. Will never return.

Very kid friendly, kids eat free Monday and Tuesday, free icecream too. Cheap wine and beer 4-6pm everyday. Kids play area outside, kids activities available inside. Definitely recommend 👌 Edit: attended Christmas lunch 2024 and thought staff did a great job, very friendly and food was lovely. Gifts for kids a nice touch. Really appreciate your lovely staff working on Christmas day.

My husband and I had to relocate Christmas Day lunch at short notice when our fridge died. The Parkside fitted in our party of 8 with only days notice. They were assiduous in ensuring we’d be comfortable. The setting was pretty. The food was superb. Could not have been better. The table staff were a bit hesitant and it was all running late but these are quibbles. It was top notch. Thank you to the hotel for saving our Christmas Day. Did I say that the food was excellent? Value for money.

Had Christmas day lunch what a let down you have failed in all aspects but the staff serving us at time hiding it seemed out of embarrassment grazing platter seafood meats olives , dips that had formed a bit of skin most probably been made up for hours and not covered flat bread gone hard or was stale no seafood souce ( they didn' have any) no lemon slices for Oysters🤣 )tno dipping dishes for fingers to use after peeling prawns the list goes on Main course is another subject vegetable put on table main course didnt arrive for another 30 min.by then vegie's cold didnt eat mine some people left before sweets were even served I just feel for my family having paid so much for such sub standard food and no organisation at all it mind you I know at Christmas time hotel's charge more for drin'ks but $75.00 for a bottle of bird in hand Champagne 😔 a bit rich I know forsure never to return

Beautiful place, exceptional staff. Only criticism is that my plain gravy with my meal was like water and a friends steak was dry. But that was two meals out of 10

I attended here with my partner as a party of 4. We both ordered the lamb shank and have to say it is without a doubt one of the best we have both tasted for some time. That's saying a lot considering we eat out once a week and have ordered lamb shank from many other places. They have mostly ranged from satisfactory to good with just one other being just as good. Thankyou for a truly enjoyable meal Parkside Hotel, we'll be back!

Menu hasn’t changed in 2 years. Would be great if you can change it

The food is the most average blend of good and horrid I only tried 3 things the salami pizza wagyu sliders and schnitzel. First I had the sliders absolutely incredible but for the size not worth 20$ it had a good blend of meaty salty sweet and tangy the bread was soft and crunchy at the same time the meat was soft and chewy the cheese was pretty tasteless but quite rubbery except it got soft quite fast so I didn't mind and I'm not one to enjoy cheese but I did enjoy that cheese. I then had the salami pizza without chilli and olives except there was still chilli on it but I didn't mind since there wasn't much and I just picked the few slices off as of the taste though incredibly salty the onions and salami made a good blend except the worst part there was too much cheese as tall as the crust and the thinnest layer of sauce now I know that napoli sauce is thin but they should just use a thicker sauce that isn't tasteless instead of giving flavour to the dish it just made it wet and soggy the bread felt rough cause there was salt on the bottom overall a salty piece of bread cheese and salami . The chicken schnitzel was good except the taste was basically non existent but that's what the gravies for right nope better without gravy it was bitter too salty and also very drippy it barely stayed on the chicken it felt sloppy and poorly made the chicken was although very tender and juicy quite crispy . The waters that served us were very nice and polite they apologised sincerely for putting chilli's on our pizza the chefs prepared our meals in under ten minutes. The look of the restaurant is very ppuke coloured the walls are all black with some wierd looking paintings also a dark green that should've just been black and yellow green coushin seats that are rough uncomfortable and sink down too much also random decorations that look like a last ditch effort to make it look fancy. My overall review do not go here go somewhere like the pancake kitchen it's too tacky and overpriced for average food and also might I add three miniature desserts one of which is cheese just cheese and also carnal icecream served in a Dixie cup and for people that don't like fish absolutely do not come here 80% of the options are fish the moral of the story don't eat at a hotel

Nice place l, food was delicious

There are some nice things about this hotel, namely the play area for kids, and some of the food. Unfortunately though the entire chicken fillet in my burger was inedible - it had a very unpleasant texture, extremely tough and stringy fibres. I ended up taking out the whole fillet and just eating the rest of the burger without the meat, which was fine if not disappointing.

Very noisy. Food was o-k...however, when you pay $56 for a Scotch Fillet steak you expect something special. Sadly it was not. Asked for medium well, and it was chewy and tough, inedible, couldn't even chew it. Garlic bread was amazing. Cocktails were delicious. Huge shame on the steak. Also, stated the meal came with duck fat roasted potatoes, but they were just chat potatoes boiled in their jackets.

What a woke decision by your group to not celebrate Australia Day as it hurts some of your patrons. Well that decision also hurts some of your patrons, including me! I won’t ever set foot in your pubs.

Recently had a friend’s 21st in the beer garden. The staff took care of everyone more than we could ever expect, great atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Bustling atmosphere here at the Parkside on a Sunday! Live music and Chef Specials made for an awesome late lunch session. I had the Chicken Mexican Bowl for lunch by the recommendation of Charlie and it was extremely lean, flavourful and just straight up delisshhhh, accompanied by an icy cold beer served by the lovely smiling Saatak, made for an excellent seedy Sunday at a nice, classy, local venue

We had a fantastic party at the Parkside! Right from the beginning the functions team made it so easy to organise. Blake and his staff on the night were exceptional and couldn’t do enough to make it a special occasion for us. The food was also exceptional - we had so many comments from our guests about the great food and vibe of the night! We highly recommend the Parkside!!

Great seniors meal

It is a lovely looking revamped place with delightful colours. I found extra $96 charge on 1 x extra meat on salad is a bit too much, works out, it should be $12. Were appraised by the same person of being generous to pay for the bill... Very mixed feelings... Table service is good and food is delicious apart from Karrage Chicken. I would hire extra cleaning if I can cuz the toilet can uses a bit more. In all, I am not sure I will be there next time.

Terrific front of house service. Dreadful organisation in the back. Waited almost 2 hours for our meals, of which 1 came 20 minutes before the rest. Meals were OK, nothing special.

Food was awesome and very friendly staff only criticism would be the cocktails were on the very small side for the price, but would still return as had a lovely night and and enjoyed our food.

The Parkside have been so supportive of our chorus Adelaide Vocal Union. We are proud to call it our local. Staff are wonderful and friendly.

We will definitely be coming back, the food and service were fantastic.

Just went to have a dinner with my friends at Parkside hotel lat Friday we have amazing services from Blake he is have a lot ot knowledge all of the things we ask we have amazing dinner and amazing time together there we will back again for sure in the next future

First time today for lunch... I am not a picky eater, have actually never sent anything back, but the cauliflower Gnocchi was cold as a stone, still thought I'll eat around it but even the mash was cold. So reluctantly sent it back and got offered same or another meal, I played it safe and just went schnitzel (can't get that wrong) again cold with wrong sauce. Don't bother, the atmosphere, the staff and the food won't pay for your so called upgrade. Whaste of money 💰

There was nice decor at this hotel, which made it feel more like a restaurant 🫶 The Food was good but pricey for its portion. Service was good despite being understaffed the day we went there. Easy parking. Good location.

Noisy dining area. Not sure how others at our table felt about their meals but the squid that I had was tender but the coating had little or no flavour or seasoning. Disappointed. Should have gone the chicken schnitzel.

We shared a lovely lunch and Samuel did a wonderful job of making us comfortable - mum uses a walker. Our meals were fantastic - wagyu burger, lamb pie and cauliflower gnocchi - followed by a shared chocolate cake. Nice portions and prices comparable with other pubs with similar menus and venue features

All round disappointing visit today , chose this venue as a half way meet up place with friends, nothing good to say about it , dated decor with plastic flowers, uninterested staff, poor quality food . Shall not re visit

Had lunch and I guess it was ok for pub food but not great but that's my opinion and others like it .

Had a lovely relaxed mother's day dinner at the Parkside today, food was nice, beer garden was a lovely vibe love the fireplace and the pretty flowers. Blake took excellent care of us making sure my mother had her favourite drink on arrival and took the time to take our picture in front of their photo wall.
