The room is clean and has everything you need. There is a pub attached to the motel. The meals were beautiful, cooked to perfection and served on hot plates. I would definitely recommend the chicken burner and chips $20 Fri night special. Husband Lamb chop, chips and salad looked gorgeous and went down very well!!

I have been coming to Darcy Arms for over 30 years . The meals are getting so tiny, the special meals $20 are getting so small and not worth the money. I’ve talked to a few locals and we are suggesting not to come back. Went tonight had The $22 steak and it was so tiny .. the meals are starting to be a rip off. There was a mega small steak and about 6 chips and 2 table spoons of cheap Woolies slaw. Still so hungry had to get a pizza on the way home. So disappointed you have to get another meal on the way home when ur so hungry ! Counting chips .. the other meal was the chicken curry and it was so small and so dissatisfied with the size of the full price curry. Like every other restaurant… they are serving tiny meals with increased prices. Very very disappointed and so hungry .. the meals need to be bigger or you’re going to not have any customers .. people will not return when the meals are so small .

Every Sunday there is an Irish singer and he just sings the same songs over and over. I’ve been listening to it in the area for over a year now it is so annoying. I wish they will turn down the volume as I live in the apartments across the road

Wonderful friendly welcoming staff, rooms are checked and cleaned daily; locals welcome you into their company, prices are very fair and the entertainment at the weekends are always extremely talented 😀 there is also a private swimming pool for anyone staying at the Motel. I would recommend Darcy's to anyone who likes to feel welcome and be local to many Wonderful amenities

Went in on Sunday and had a great time listening to the Irish musician. Went in at 8.40pm on Monday because we liked it so much. However, this time the bartender advised us the kitchen is closed which was ok with us and we were happy to just have a drink. He then said that we can only have one drink and we could only have 15 minutes, and if we don't leave when he's ready to close he'd take our drinks from us. Coming from Ireland this is definitely not anything you would get in Ireland. Get it that he was closing soon but that's all he needed to say. Didn't need to be an ass.

Great Irish pub, great Sunday sessions

Went here for dinner recently and both my partner and I were really impressed! I had the bangers and mash (if you are from the UK, the sausages tasted just like Richmond sausages!) My partner had the deal of the day- steak, chips and salad. He asked for a little ramekin of their curry sauce to dip his chips in. When our meals arrived, they also brought out a full chicken curry dinner (he had thought the bill was expensive). When we explained, they took the chicken curry away and came straight back with a refund for that meal and a little ramekin of curry sauce. Excellent customer service- we really appreciated that, thank you. Lovely olde worlde pub with a great atmosphere and really friendly staff. Thanks again! 😊

Went here for dinner, and the drinks, food, and service were all exceptional

Stopped by D'Arcy Arms with the lads for a few pints, and sure enough, it became our local for the trip. We made it a daily ritual—couldn't resist the brilliant atmosphere, the craic, and of course, the fine pints. The food hit the spot too, but if I’m to be honest, the portions were a wee bit on the small side. Take the Guinness pie, for instance—delicious, full of flavour, but could’ve done with a bit more meat in it. All in all, though, grand spot for a session!

A perfect little hideaway. Perfect sized rooms, good mattress, 10 minutes to Surfers Paradise, few minutes to the beach. Restaurant is great too with a good variety of Irish and contemporary food. Good sized portions at a reasonable price. Recommend Pot Pie.

Had an amazing steak ideally cooked to my preferences. Generous portion and reasonable price for a stake that big. Spacious outside dining area. Easy accessible from main street.

Didn't stay at the hotel but the pub had a fantastic ambience, great staff, and really high quality food and beverages.

Stayed here for a couple of nights - it is reasonably priced considering the fantastic location. Rooms are old but clean - the air conditioner was super noisy though so luckily they had a small fan heater in the cupboard or it would have been quite chilly in the room. It is a minute from the pub part - so very handy for a drink. Did not eat there as we are vegetarians but the portion sizes looked pretty good and there was quite a few eating there. There is a pool but it is right next to the outdoor seating of the pub with a railing fence - so wouldn't swim there even if it was warm. Fantastic location though - close to the tram and the Northcliffe Surf Club - which was awesome by the way. Would definitely stay again due to its location.

The place has a great Irish pub feel. Very warm and cosy on a cold winter night. I've got a soft spot for good Irish pub and this one is a gem. The outdoors isn't as good as the inside and being on a main road you get the noise. Saying that I've had a great time outside listening to a live band last summer and it's was great fun.

They know how to pour a Guinness.

Great bar and staff. Always a pleasure to go to. The live music is fantastic and it's a great little place to hang out for a few.

Well priced and located motel with pub attached, room was basic but clean, excellent towels and soap....free parking in basement.

Room was musty. Had to leave the door and windows open to air it out! Black bedspread and pillow cases didn't hp the look. Would like something more cheerful.

Great atmosphere and the live music was beautifully sung

Indulged in a scrumptious Guiness pot pie, truely an authentic Irish dish served with delicious mushy peas, would have to be one of the better pubs in the area.
