Absolutely useless. Telling me something only had 14 day warranty after purchase? Australian consumer law determined that to be a blatant lie. I will avoid this place forever. Absolutely useless. A tip for staff? Get some updated training on Australian consumer law. And the second part is he refused to assist in any capacity, no repairs, no help. Again. Useless.

came in with a cord that i needed replaced, the salesperson was very lovely and efficient, i was in and out within 5 minutes. very happy with their service!

Thanks to Michael this afternoon (12/08/2024) - he was so helpful and lovely. Sometime these kinds of places aren't super inviting to women but Michael made me feel really comfortable and listened to. I was really happy leaving the shop with exactly what I needed and really glad he listened to what I needed 🙌🏼

Called in today with a very difficult query. The staff member was just so helpful and accommodating. His knowledge of electronics was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Great to be able to experience good old-fashioned service, with a smile!

Thanks to Nathaniel (great product knowledge, helpful, friendly), I went home with the temp gauge I needed. Good staff, make a shop worth repeat business.

Nathaniel was great Had some burnt out electronics and he spent the time to make sure the replacement parts were right. All for a tiny sale, what a great guy

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Unable to fulfil an order & then unable to process a refund over the phone, in store customer service was almost non existent & over the phone wasn't much better.

Walked into the Modbury store today to find something and two young lads were busy talking about rubbish. Did my three laps of the store trying to find the thing I was after and still no effort was made to ask me for help. Sorry Jaycar, won’t be back to buy anything from that store again. Would have been quicker to wait for it on EBay. 🙄

I went to shop an audio converter. A guy helped me in finding the exact item, I checked with him if they price match with JB HI-FI, he said “YES, DEFINITELY WE DO. But the item needs to be in stock.” I opened the JB HI FI website on my phone and showed him the product and it says Add to cart. That means the product is available ! But this guy is like- “You need to show if it is available in the store”. It showed the nearest store is JB HI FI Munno Para where the item is available. So now this guys is like - I cant price match because the item is not available in Modbury. No sorry , nothing. No reason given that why you can’t the price. This was so rude. First you say your customer YES and then at the time of billing you say NO , I CANT DO THAT. Anyways, If the item was available in Jb Hi Fi Modbury, why would I have come to your store ? I would have gone straight to them. Atleast they do what they say, they have much better customer service!

I have been here 4 or 5 times for various items over the past 12 months. Every time I come to the Modbury store the guys are polite, professional and very helpful. They go above and beyond to not only provide the product required, explain the use/applications and there is never any pressure or forced sales. I would certainly recommend them highly. Carparking available in main Modbury Triangle and then a short walk down to the store via steps. Thanks so much guys well deserved.

Service standards at Jaycar have gone down. Serviced by the store manager looking for a replacement charger for a spin series 3 Acer laptop. Manager tried to show me their universal chargers, I explained that I had already tried that and was looking for the specific one. He said he couldn't help unless I brought the laptop in. Imagine my surprise when I trundled across the road to jbhifi and the service guy googled and although they did not have any in stock at his store, checked and confirmed they did infact have the specific charger at Jaycar, modbury. Ordered online and saved myself $50; thanks jbhifi.

Got what i needed. Could have spent way too much on all the gadgets but i had the wife with me so didnt really feel like facing a rusty spoon when i got home if you catch my drift. Staff were awesome couldnt ask for better service

Helpful staff and excellent variety of products. Car park is a little annoying though.

So helpful. I bought something somewhere else. It doesn't work now. I found a fuse and thought maybe that was it. They checked it for free. He was helpful on helping me understand something I bought from there and showed me how to use it correctly.

All staff are fantasticly knowledgeable, friendly , cheerful and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them to help you with your questions. I go there all the time now and will recommend them to everyone. Easy convenient access, parking and great choice of relevant shopping very close by.

A true electronics enthusiasts shop with a selection of tools and components (parts). A reasonable range with some uncommon items available (without being Aladdin's cave).Knowledgeable staff, not the most convenient access, with wheelchair access possible, but a bit of steep hill if parking in modbury triangle.

Multiple outlets, seven days, easy access with their own parking. Excellent service.

Customer service is always good here. Actually the boss was grumpy and rude to his employees when he first came in for the day.... other than that it would have been 5 stars.

This store has most things listed on their website, helpful staff with appropriate knowledge of what they are selling, good parking. Close to shopping, Kentucky fried chicken, Bunnings and more.

Needed a connection for an iPod to a new car. The staff offered several options, even trying them out in the car. They made sure that it worked. I couldn't have asked for better service.

The only retail electronic store left standing, which says something. Staff mostly know what they're talking about too. Good for tools, parts, fun toys for adults and kids. I dare you to go in and not buy something.

This has to be the worst customer service of any store, anywhere. I have been there 3 or 4 times each time swearing I would never return. Today was the last straw. I stood at a wall of cables trying to find what I needed. 3 staff stood around chatting or looking out the window. Not one asked if I needed any help. 2 walked past at least twice each not paying me any attention at all. 20 minutes passed before I finally found something that would work for me. Got to the counter and the only conversation was the guy telling me what I owed. Nothing else. What a disgrace. A shame I couldn't give zero stars. Avoid this store at all cost.

Good selection of roducts and knowledgeable staff

Brought my broken toggle switch to the store, even though they don't have the item I was looking for, one of staff tried to help and made my toggle switch worked. Best customer service.
