Very nice food

Great food, not fond of the online ordering system with a big group of people, it would be better to have a waiter. Nice dishes. Room is very noisy, hard to hear anyone beyond your neighbours at the table. Good for a group of 4 or 6 max.

As usual, you will never be disappointed go to this restaurant.The service improved from my last visit, food gets out much quicker and staff are very attentive. The new online ordering system is super easy to use and each individual can place their own order. All the orders are added to the same table. Just a suggestion: It would be good if you could look at the order history, just so you can keep track of what has already been served to prevent wastage. Keep up the good work and looking forward to my next visit.

Have used Okami many times before with no issues. Ordered delivery and received Katsu as per usual, but with no sauce either on it or in a separate container as usual. So basically it’s just dry crumbed chicken. Called them up and they treated us like we were morons. I bet if we were dining in house it would be a different story. Beware Uber customers. You won’t get what you were expecting.

Terrible! Worst Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. Cramped, excessively noisy, feels like the kind of place you'd stop at during a pub crawl for a quick feed. The food was really poor quality - edamame overcooked, beef carpaccio was drowning in water(??) and had absolutely no flavour.

We love it. Be sure to book though.

Affordable typical Japanese place with nice freshly made food. Can be very busy and hectic with all you can eat diners. Didn't go for that option but looked like good value for mony

A friend recommended Okami and it did not disappoint. Meals were served very fast, The buffet menu had a large selection, service and food was great. We will be back

Food was delicious, service could have been better and more friendly and make sure you check your bill thoroughly as we were charged for 9 people, plus 2 children when we were 9 in total Inc children.

My husband told me about Okami when I was pregnant because of my love for sushi, and we finally came when bubs was born; it did not disappoint. The food selection is great, the taste is amazing, and the service is good. The only thing I would comment on is the vegetables in the tempura as it was still hard, and a couple of dishes were unavailable when we went. Hopefully, we get to try more when we go back ❤️

Went as a group for all you can eat. Food is always fast and of a high quality. Staff are helpful when you talk to them.

Stop 3 of our tour de Greensborough, where we try all restaurants in the local area. We tried the all you can eat menu on a Saturday night. We booked the 5.45pm sitting, lucky we booked, it was packed! Sushi was nice, the beef noodles were good, fried chicken was good and the spicy crab was awesome. The kastu noodle was lacking some flavor. Good format of ordering via the QR code, but you need to remember what you ordered. It's BYO too, which was great. We would definitely reattend.

Delicious 'All you can eat' Menu, great variety of dishes to choose from. My first visit to Okami and definately not the last. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food absolutely delicious and at $39.00 per person very reasonably priced.

Way better than doncaster. Staff are very polite and awsome. Orders are super fast and taste of food is way better than Doncaster branch. I'll give 💯 well done

Wanting to know how my rating was changed from 1 star to 5 stars. Posted this 1 star rating 3 months ago. Oct 23. We've been coming here for years.... since the day they opened. We attended again and to say the very least we were extremely disappointed. 5 of us waiting ages for a little bit of food. Watching all the other tables around us that where seated after us getting all these dishes that we had already ordered being served to them. We had to ask numerous times for the same food. We were told we have been given everything we ordered. We order it again and got told of we don't eat everything we will be charged extra for leaving food. What a joke. One of the dishes we ordered and what we got......for 5 adults. We won't be back.

Was disappointed in the quality of the food. A few of our dishes were missing and given to wrong table as I heard they didn't order it and I turned to see it was our sashimi sushi platter. The accompanying dashi soup that came with the agedashi tofu was basically water...no flavor so weak! Even with tempura...it was shocking. Takoyaki was too soft undercooked. The quality of mostly everything was low. I only enjoyed the sashimi and kakiage. The desert was in a takeaway container ice cream and the taiyaki was cold :( I know it's all you can eat but I've been to other okami and service and food quality was much better there. Please try your food and taste your dashi stock.

I have been here before the service was very good and so was the food. This visit was terrible! We had 13 people in our group 11 adults and 2 children. We were seated downstairs where we felt we were in a box, literally no view and the seating was so closed and crammed together. So we did our order the food came come in a trickle so I asked our waiter we needed to order more food before I could order he said to me do you know of our food waste policy. You were so damn lucky my grandchildren were present because how dare you tell me such nonsense when you haven’t even gave us our food? And then this lady server was giving us all the food we didn’t order because my daughter kept telling our waiter that we never ordered what food we are getting. So to sum this up this restaurant in Greensborough is a no go and not at all recommended. Please avoid if you are taking a big group. I hope the Owner see this. To rude waiter that served us, you definitely need more training. What a waste of my over 400 plus drinks, never again Oakami Greensborough. Unless there will be changes your not a good place to visit.😡 on this note we finished all our food too.

It doesn’t even taste like Japanese food. I’m not being harsh but it’s the truth.

Yummy food at all you can eat price, without compromising on food quality. You get a 2-hour sitting when you book on weekends. It gets so busy. So, it can be a bit noisy but understandably so.

Great value for the price you pay, can't complain. Awesome place to chill with friends, the green tea ice cream is to die for.

Not sure how to rate this one as my issue is due to pricing. Had a lovely dinner here with my son and the bill come to $111. The person putting the charge through held only the back of the Eftpos to me and I didn’t ask for the receipt. When I got home and checked bank statement, I was charged $122. Lesson learned to never tap the back of the EFTPOS. Okay, a surreptitious tip but I would prefer to make it on my own volition. Beware.

The restaurant was full and noisy. The service was average with poor communication. The food was bland and tasteless, seemingly franchised, processed food! We won't be going back, not good value for money!

Love this little place, it's not flash but the food & service definitely makes up for it, I've been to many other Okami Restaurants but this one has to be my favourite one that I go to time & time again. Highly recommend.

Wa-ad restaurant has many seats. Come eat in an all you can eat style. Price is 39 dollars per person. There are many menus to choose from. But I like meat dishes more. There is parking behind the store.

Everything was good but food 😤. Sushi’s and sashimi came cold straight from fridge. Karage was not hot enough. I live in Greensborough and always go to Caulfield okami. This time I thought to come out of my comfort and try the okami in my suburb. Really dissatisfied. So not fresh. Wasted 100$. Service was good though even it was super busy.

Wasn’t very impressed with dinner but perhaps the experience was somewhat soured by getting into an expensive car accident on the way home. The restaurant was packed though so maybe the cheese stands alone. I personally didn’t find that I got value from the all you can eat at the price point because the sushi has to be ordered on mixed platters and I didn’t actually like all of what was on the platter but it has to be eaten to avoid a wastage fee. Similarly you cannot order stand alone sashimi. If you are particular about what you want to eat a la carte is a better option

The definition of you get what you pay for. The menu used to be much broader and of a much higher standard however now it's pretty much just fried options with very little fresh food to choose from. Obviously this is how they can sustain such a business model but coupled with the chaotic table service and the loud, disurptive atmosphere (especially if your unfortunate enough to be seated in the back room) , I wouldn't recommend this to anyone I care for.
