Love our local venue and renovations. Our group had a roast lunch on Thursday and they messed up the order and the meal was cold. The beef was inedible. Could not get a knife through it. We feel a new chef may be needed as the venue is brilliant.. We will be back but will certainly let the kitchen know if not up to scratch this time.

We booked in for barefoot bowls and dinner for 30 people on Friday night and I could not rave more highly about the staff. The man that helped us learn about bowling, the wait staff, the chefs, the gents behind the bar. Everyone was so lovely to deal with! My group had a fantastic time and we will all be back again soon! Thank you to the entire team - but a special shout out to Kim who went out of her way to help me when I needed assistance. Great job all round!

First time visitor on 1/2/25 and enjoyed the venue, meals and staff. I didn't realise there were other bathrooms but unfortunately the ones I used were quite smelly and not very clean. ( near pokies). Our group enjoyed our meals which all had very generous portions . Music was great although the club left their own over head system on so that was a distraction at the same time as the live music. Also the sports screens volume was up so loud it could be heard over the live music also. Just an observation. Over all a lovely club.

Tennille is fabulous. She was friendly and quick to respond to my enquiries and made it easy to make our booking. We arrived at the venue and were not treated in as a friendly manner unfortunately. Due to the weather we couldn’t play lawn bowls, which is no one’s fault. The green looked great though. Was a good size. Food was standard club/pub food.

It was my first time dining here to celebrate a family members birthday. My first impression was a positive one, i had a pizza and sweet potato chips, which were very tasty, large portion at a good price. All of the staff i encountered were super helpful and friendly, especially the chef who did an amazing job with our food. Our waitress went above and beyond to make our experience memorable with her great service and kind compliments. We will definitely return soon!

Great food and atmosphere

We had a fantastic experience at the Broadbeach Bowls Club for our staff Christmas party. We played barefoot bowls and then had lunch. Trent and Allan assisted us in getting us sorted with the skills for barefoot bowls and lunch was fantastic and such great variety and great value. Thank you for such a memorable day.

Great food, great service, had some trouble getting $ out of the pokies area, Jess was absolutely outstanding. Courteous, friendly, happy, just plain good service. I.recommend her for an in house award if you have them. Merry Christmas to all. Sue Berg

Fantastic place. Do yourself a favour and pay $10 for the barefoot bowls! A huge amount of fun if you have a group!

We had Melbourne cup lunch at broadbeach bowls club. The food quality and quantity was amazing. There was variety and it kept coming out. Fresh seafood and carvery, yum. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. They had a singer from 3pm so we all stayed longer to enjoy the music. Well done, everyone. we will be back next year!

We love coming here for Barefoot Bowls. We had Trent show us the ropes and he was so helpful. The club itself has a great vibe with live music during the weekends in the busy bar & restaurant. For a peaceful outside vibe there is a beautiful verandah overlooking one of the greens. Check it out!

Visited the club this evening. Food was good, service behind the bar was horrific, spent more time talking to fellow staff members than service the customer. Had 2 purchases of alcoholic ginger beer 1st shout cost $28.30 for 2 drinks, the 2nd shout cost $25.00?? Language by patrons was loud, rude and crude (f & c)

Took 40 minutes to get garlic bread & a kids meal and 1 grilled fish. Garlic bread was cold, kids nuggets were cold, fish was dry, salad was ALL mixed lettuce. Best thing was the chips. Music was too loud and only playing the first 15 seconds of each song before changing.. Waited ages at the keno till ignored by multiple staff members who when I finally asked for service said oh I can't do that, but didn't get someone who could...

Great food and service.

First time here. Great venue, drinks and meals were very reasonably priced, but meals only a little better than average. Very basic, plain and small.

Ordered Battered Barramundi and Chips. Frankly, it was all commercially premade, nothing fresh. No thought into presentation, it was just placed on the plate. With a helping mayonnaise in place of the more traditional tartare sauce. Expecting much better for the price. Slow service at the bar. Plus side was the bar prices though, and nice to have live entertainment.

Had a lovely meal with Matt and Shell and family.

Love this place, great any night, family friendly. My only issue is the lack of good vegetarian meal choices. You had an amazing South African curry, removed it, a great tofu salad, removed it, halloumi sticks, removed them. Come in guys, cater for us vegetarians.

Had dinner at the club last night , new head chef managing the kitchen and had the special pork loin with sauteed Bok Choy , so good will be back again

Caught up with a few friends (w/ kids aged 5-9) for a game of lawn bowls and dinner. A gentleman instructed us on how to play/ rules and the kids played in one lane and adults in another. It was lots of fun and a great place to get together for good food, drinks and lawn bowls. There was an older man who identified as the lawn keeper and was very particular with how we were playing. I can appreciate he is passionate about the game and wants to keep the lawn in good condition but I could tell some individuals were uncomfortable/ irritated as he may have been too controlling. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again (as we are now members) and recommend all families to enjoy a game and feed.

friendly staff and great atmosphere

Went down to the bowls club for a nice quiet afternoon of bowls with a few mates for my bday. Unfortunately a fella named Allan seemly has a case of OCD like I’ve never met before. Every 30-60 minutes he was out critiquing how we were bowling, the end we were bowling from, the way in which we would have a conversation in between rounds, etc. all of it was not to his liking. We had a 3 year old with us that really wanted to participate, rather than retrieving him a ‘soft’ ball (which another lovely staff member gentleman did later in the day) - Allan simply expressed “the child is not allowed on the green!!” He would also express “do me a favor gentlemen and if you’re going to take a break between rounds, take the Matt off the grass because it can heat up and it’s not good for the grass..” just one example of many that had Allen not so affectionately labeled the ‘bowl police.’ what should have been a wonderful afternoon with family and friends turned in to a chore trying to follow Allen’s rules as if we were children. 1 star and good luck to those on Allen’s watch in future. Edit: 3 stars because it’s not fair for 1 bloke to tarnish an entire venue

the employees are very unfriendly, the service is very bad

Only giving 1 star because I can’t give none. Service was an absolute joke, messed up our meals multiple times and the staff attitude was apathetic. 4 of us waited over an hour, when the food came out it was cold. Staff compensated 1 of our group members 1 drink for the screw around. Staff need a lesson on customer service and the chefs need to pull their heads in.

Been going periodically for 20 years. Very ordinary this evening. 4 different meals were ordinary. Seated right next to a loud and boisterous awards night.. Unlikely to return

I was very disappointed with the visit with my family, we waited over 1 hr for our meal. When it arrived my meal was cold. It is not good enough for the prices paid. I won’t be returning soon.

Food is good but wait time can be quite long sometimes.

Food options limited for low carb low sugar but you can order dishes without potatoes/ chips. Would be good to add a side garden salad to the menu and some grilled fish instead of battered

Went in for a beer and a snack today at around 2pm I ordered a Ham and Cheese Toastie. I was told it was a 45 minute wait! I went elsewhere and met my other six mates at a different venue. Pretty poor.

Horrible experience at the broad beach bowls club as the staff and club members were nothing but awful too our entire group , if you have kids do not go too this place got told kids where being too loud and too control your kids apsolutley disgusting by grown adults too treat people like this , worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant would never go back

If your a bowler and on the Gold Coast on holidays you just have to come to Broadbeach Bowls Club. What a spectacular place to spend some quality time. Even if your not a bowler come and enjoy the facilities and see how its done by the professionals and amateurs alike. Crazy friendly place.

Ordered 2 cones of chips paid $2 extra for aioli no aioli came and chips in a very small dessert bowl $20 garden salad also all up $43.00 way too much $$$

Went there for bare foot bowls on a Saturday afternoon and had a meal really good atmosphere and food.

You classic Aussie pub vibe. Food is fine but a little overpriced. Drinks were reasonably priced.

Really nice bowls club, fully renovated, greens were running at about 15 seconds around 4pm on a sunny day. The club has everything you need to be able to stay there all stay comfortably!

We have recently had 2 group functions at the Broadbeach Bowls Club. The booking process was nice and easy, the confirmation of the booking very professional, the table was where we requested it to be and the best part everyone can order and pay for their own meals/drinks rather than the no split bill policy that makes a lot of places difficult for a group. Highly recommended. Great meals and service. Thank you Helen for being amazing . :)

Came for dinner with the family. We made a booking that there was absolutely no record of, didn't really matter as it was early and we just got a table anyway. Food was good, steak sandwich was lovely. Very reasonably priced and had some live music too. Will definitely be back if we're in the area again.

Favourite venue to play poker. Meals and drinks are generously priced. Staff are friendly and the venue itself is very accommodating to its customers.

Located in heart of Broadbeach where the green grass lays beside the seaside is the legendary bowls club where we flicked off the crocs and played some barefoot bowling while the sea breeze made us thirsty so we drowned a few cold beers over the timber. i then had the opportunity to rolled my first jack along the green and curved the balls as close as I could to the jack. After few tough ends, the sun was sinking over the mountains range and i was ready for a bite, we made our way into the Bistro as i was greeted by excellent customer service and the food was delivered with a smile and side of witty banter making this visit a rememberable one. The food was delicious and reasonable priced. The staff are friendly and helpfully. We will be back to hit the jack!
