I went in yesterday to do a Drop And Go, it was busy but we didn’t have to wait long. Staff were super nice and informative, they processed my items fast and I got paid the next morning. I had a lot of items, I’m surprised at how fast their service was! Very good prices as well, highly recommend 👌✨ Thank you to the amazing staff

I attended the cex at Campbelltown mall and was completely disrespected by management I was yeld at with some colourful language because I stood up for another customer who had down syndrome who was being belittled by another staff member which isn't right for anyone to be belittled and when security attended I informed them of what happened at which point I was laughed at and threatened with physical removal from the store after telling them the laughter wasn't called for at which a time the police were called by other customers and when police arrived security denied everything and police new the security guard personally and took his side so long story short the store staff and management are horrible

Well deserved 5 stars! I bought a pair of Samsung S20+ phones and a wireless charging dock from them. Very helpful and patient staff. They took the time to charge up and let me test 3 different phones and didn't mind me making a thorough check of the phone before paying. Despite customers queuing up they were not rushing anyone and were kind. Thank you all

Amazing and efficient customer service!

I have been hunting around the Sydney area for retro game stuff and happened upon the CEX store in Campbelltown Mall. I had been to all the local pawn shops and second hand dealers and found many great deals. I was amazed by the range they really do have heaps of stuff, I was however put off by the staff. There were two women I encountered and a third staff member I could see behind the counter shelves, not one of these staff members greeted me, I made eye contact and smiled at the girl on the floor as I first walked in and didn't even receive a nod of acknowledgement. Every other shop big or small busy or not they look up they say Hi at the very least and most times ask is there anything I can help you with? I was the only customer in an otherwise empty store. I found a few bits a game and a media controller not totalling to much just $9 so a very small sale, I was asked if I was a member I asked what does that entail and was told not much it just tracks your purchase I didn't feel encouraged to join or that it was of any benefit to me with points or discounts or loyalty or something of the like. Not wanting to carry change I asked if there were any cheap games, DVD's blurays so I could round up to $10 seemingly uninterested the other lady motioned with her hand toward the racks in the store, I quickly glanced behind me at the bluray rack to see a $1.50 copy of something grabbed it and said can we do $10 for the lot, that would be a 50 cent discount but I was met with a NO you will need an extra 50 cents, I said no deals, no discount with a smile only to be met with a face that seemed incapable of a smile. Now I don't need a discount or really care especially over 50 cents I was trying to get rid of my dollar so I gave it to a busker out the front. Three local pawn shops I made purchases at earlier that day knocked $3.50, $2 and $4 off total prices of less than $20 and $30 as a sign of good customer relations without being asked. I do however think it's bad business practice to not even acknowledge your customers especially when your store is empty and there are three staff members present. All of these staff members were stocking shelves and working on computers so they were working and did have duties whilst I was there and I understand they are online too, but a physical customer in store surely warrants some attention. I always read the reviews before I post to know if others have had similar experiences I wonder if my review will be met with what seems like the same cut and paste reply to all unfavourable reviews by the owner. I will continue to check in because the range is good but it's not a place I want to go back to because of the warm and welcoming staff not great and I hope it's not representative of what I might expect at other stores!

Bad customer service, argumentative when in the wrong, no fair refund policy even if their at fault. Campbelltown Mall store - They sold me the anniversary edition of a switch game that supposedly comes with all the released content (TMNT Shredder's revenge -Anniversary Edition). Although the cover was the anniversary edition (blue) with extra content, they put in the incorrect cartridge/game that was for the original 'vanilla' release (green). I asked for the correct game and they kept on arguing that it was the same game as far as their system was concerned so refused to exchange or refund. I showed photos of how the correct game cart looks like and still said that there was nothing they could do about it due to their system except to give me store credit. The girl there was even arguing that this was an old game release so it had no other editions when in fact this was was released very recently in the last couple of years and never before. The guy only repeated their bad refund policy. If you buy anything from them - Check carefully what they put in. Their system does not differentiate between a 'GOTY' edition of a game and a vanilla one so the cover could be the edition that you wanted but they would put in any version of the game.

The store is good, but the merchandise needs to be thoroughly cleaned before being sold to customers, I bought a PS3 at one of the stores and it was beyond filthy, it was down right disgusting. It was caked in dust and stains from what I would think would be from food. Everything needs to be sanitised and wiped clean so it looks practically brand new, I understand there may be wear and tear from previous owners, but not this, it should of been cleaned before being put on the shelf. Also get a direct phone for all the stores!!

I bought over 3 Xbox controllers in a month and played with this new controller i bought for $28 yet this doesn’t work aswell as there is no account linked to me to say I bought it which is disappointing, I wasted $28 for a broken controller again. Will not be coming back.

Cheap video game prices, amazing variety and very well organised.

It’s a great place to get the random things but check your purchases before buying it because they say they check to see if it works before selling them but I have had multiple expensive items not working, leading me to believe they don’t check everything.

Use to think this place was great until yesterday I brought in about 30 skylanders and he didn’t even look up the value he was just gonna charge me 5 cents each then I payed 40 dollars for a skylander that didn’t even work

I bought Fire Emblem Three Houses from CeX a few months ago to eventually get to it eventually but this morning to my dismay I nmotice that they gave me the wrong cartridge being Fire Emblem Warriors : Three Hopes. Since I didn't think something like that could ever happen, my receipt is long gone and I dont think theres a way to rectify this issue.

Seems super dodgy and they rely on taking advantage of customers that don’t know any better.. I would avoid the place at all costs… took in an iPhone 12 Pro Max 256gb in great condition, no scratches scuffs or cracks.. got a quote for $530.. even after they had the same phone for sale but smaller memory (128gb) in the window for $890.. I understand the business needs to make a profit but that’s a huge markup.. any way I chose to proceed.. they tested the iPhone and told me to come back in 20 minutes. After I return I’m told the top speaker doesn’t work (which i didn’t know about, the phone had been sitting in a draw for the last 6 months) again I understand this could drop the price.. however they proceed to tell me they can only mark it as “not working” and they they would only offer $70.. lol absolutely not.. I have since received 3 quotes all from Apple certified repairers to fix the speaker for a total of $120. They clearly were hoping to get the phone for next to nothing, then do a small fix and sell for a huge profit. Epitome of a dodgy Campbelltown business.. they also removed a $60 screen protector off the phone and placed it back on with all dirt, dust and bubbles under it..

They seem like nice enough people but I didn’t appreciate the stuff around and treating me like I was silly, one minute my item was one price, after explaining the model and everything yesterday afternoon, less than 24 hours later, I go back and the price is significantly lower, they make up the whole “oh prices change” thing on the spot, I think thats highly misleading, especially considering I was only there yesterday before closing time. Consumer laws are a thing and they need to be careful falsifying information.

Store is alright, but the staff is very unfriendly. I was looking at the games and one of the workers was standing there and wouldn’t move for me to get the game I wanted. On the counter, the manager was rude when I asked about a game.

No facility to telephone store, is an actual staffed shop without being telephone contactable. Not good enough. Better off buying through Amazon or ebay and avoiding this seller entirely. Check review replies, only platitudes. Nothing has changed, arrogant staff unhelpful and and goods often presented in a tatty state. Don't waste your time, you won't get even a modicum of customer service for your trouble. Cash converters have the same stock, same warranties and their customer service eclipses these charlatans. Watch the platitude laden response to this comment.

I wanted to get cash by trading in my games. The staff although courteous didn't know how to handle DVDs. She was touching the readable part of the disc (reflective) with all fingers and placing the cover on top of it stacking them. She also pressed the pile on top so the cases could lock while having DVDs sandwiched between the cases. It's ironic that they want to check the condition of the discs but in that process they are causing significant damages to them. Why would a customer want to buy a game from your store after witnessing how your staff handles them? I actually came in to check how much my games would fetch but after this I couldn't be bothered to take it to another store and expect a fair price. Never coming back. Might as well exchange games at EBgames.

Cex undoubtedly has one of the worst customer services I've seen, with the Campbelltown store being on the front line. Trying to return a product received in a faulty condition is an apparent battlefield and the staff believe their store policy is above the ACL. Ensure you know what you're buying, as they definitely don't know what they are selling. The staff have poor manners when speaking to consumers, having the audacity to mock consumers about product returns only a few days after delivery especially when asked about having the delivery fee returned. Which is clearly written in their FAQS! Don't buy from any CEX stores. As I've been sold already a fake game (now fixed) and twice a console without the necessary accessory. Just save yourself a headache and buy the game from another retailer or pawn shop.

laundromat is not bad but their liquid card system is not a good option, they should have Eftpos machines on all their machines. those cards always left with unused money. it is not fair for the customers.

Might want to teach your staff about customer service; waited at least 5 minutes with no one in front of me except an employee who just finished their shift chatting with one female staff member while the bloke was doing something on the computer (the latter is fair enough). Any retail place I've worked in, as soon as a customer walks in any staff chatting with each other break up and do their jobs! What's worse is the girl walked away once her little chat session was finished and I still had to wait! So rude!

Love this place compared to cash converters. They always check and test their stuff before selling and its the only place I can buy ps2 games and xbox 360 games as its getting harder to track. Just wish they can sell ps1 games that would be amazing
