Staff surly, service bad and food left was poor. And the place wasn't busy.

Absolutely amazing meal and well priced the steak was very very beautiful and so was the parmigiana. Highly recommend good value for money.

Ambience is quite loud, but food is delicious.

The bar staff are fantastic, Julian the security guard is an engaging bloke who looks after the patrons. Taig behind the bar was very accommodating, and Shannon made sure the presentation of the bar was on par. Will be coming back this weekend for a family event!!

Renovations look amazing. The events manager, Crystal accomodated 30 of us for a last minute work function for Christmas and we had an amazing time with fantastic service. The atmosphere and food, along with the Christmas decorations made the night. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us and making sure we all had the best night.

The same old Baysie pub it's always been, but they have recently give it some love. A kick of paint, some new furniture and an updated menu. The Angus burger was on point, also tried the chef special which was cannelloni with pumpkin and baked blue cheese. Delicious. The outdoor bar area looks great for a Sunday session on a sunny day.

Ok Seniors meals. I'd go back

Nice looking pub, spacious and well fitted out. Good staff but the food wasn’t up to par for our liking. Sadly what arrived in front of us didn’t look like what we had seen in the Pub app. The Grand Angus burger when it arrived was so Underwhelming. Only slightly larger than a McDonalds cheese burger for $28. Barley any ingredients. Nothing like the photo. The calamari again - nothing like the photo. Literally. The pub app showed large round juicy rings of hand crumbed calamari not a bought commercial product. And what arrived in front of us was from a chef that has got carried away with trying to do something unique and forgotten that you actually have to put calamari and calamari.!! What was served up was a bowl of fried pancake crumbs with barely any calamari in them - no lemon to squeeze over it - just or morsel, tiny dab of aioli enough for a couple of bites and the rest was just dry crunchy panco crumbs. When you bite into it you can’t actually taste any calamari - at all? Just fired batter. Yet the picture on the Pub App shows large juicy thick crumbed calamari rings. I like that the chef is trying to do something better and premium. They just haven’t pulled it off yet and you’re left wishing you had ordered something else. The chicken snitch in the hand my son got was great. Juicy, great size and crunchy, he loved it. Sorry I didn’t get any photos tonight.

We were served by Gemma, she was so lovely. Shes brought such a beautiful vibes and she was just so nice to talk to. Would 100% recommend others to visit Bayswater Hotel. I'm a regular at the Bayswater Hotel and have always enjoyed the meal, but tonite was a very different story. I always order a seniors meal which is usually still a decent size. But, tonite the Turkey roast was dry and not even the size to satisfy my 5 year old granddaughter. Not even fit for the kids menu. Very disappointing . But as usual the girls serving were extremely helpful and pleasant. Another issue that needs attention is the fact that it is so cold in the bistro icicles hang off one's nose. A few little improvements would make a big difference .

Normally enjoy the staff here as I go there regularly, supporting a person with a disability for dinner outing. Female staff member with dark skin made my experience very uncomfortable circularing me when eating, not sure why she couldn't smile when talking my order but then later commenting to me that 'she try's not be friendly to customers'. If your having a bad night don't go to work or even better get job where you don't need to talk to anyone!!! So people can enjoy the dinner experience!

Have been a couple of times and great pub meals. I went with three friends and we all had very nice meals and will absolutely be going back.

Hotel has had a refurbishment. Shame about the menu. I am a senior, only 5 items on seniors menu, fish and chips, chicken Parma, bangers and mash, caesar salad and spaghetti bolognaise !! This is a kids item. No roast of the day anywhere on menu. Why can’t seniors have a smaller serving of calamari or nasi goreng? I had the fish! Very average, my friend had the chicken Parma. The chicken was COLD! Obviously been cooked earlier, then had a topping added, under grill and served. Very disappointing Children’s playground is now smaller as well. Obviously not looking for family or senior patrons. Love that in the “which dishes do you recommend “ they have roast of the day, it’s NOT on the menu anywhere!

Sat in the new beer garden/sports yard. Giant tv for watching sports on. Great place to meet friends for a casual drink and meal.

hey guys, I had to leave this comment for this absolute gentleman that we met at your hotel. his name was taig, I hope that's right. this man went out of his way many times for myself and my family, which includes a 4 year old daughter and an 11 month old son which isn't easy. this guy is worth his weight in gold. please look after him. he deserves everything that comes his way. thank you taig my brother

Waited 40 minutes for a drink and an hour for food not on.

Since the upgrade & new menu has begun, I have not been overly happy with the Bistro choices. The kids meals have gone down hill & now only for 10 yrs & under. Kids meals used to be upto & incl 12 yo. Tonight I had the ‘special’ pumpkin ravioli. It was disappointing - bland, flavourless mega sized ravioli & a sauce that lacked any character or real taste to compensate for the poor pasta. It was a very small serve for the money charged. There was no other offering of pasta on the regular menu except the kids spaghetti bol which was far more generous in size proportion than my full size ravioli…. And only avail to 10yo or below. The best part of the meal was the delicious garlic pizza for starters shared amongst the group. The new decor looks nice but is somewhat a throw back to the 70’s & the open plan is far noisier than before. Although it’s my local, I’d rather go elsewhere for more variety in the menu & better atmosphere.

Solid local. Since renovations, feels much better. New outdoor is elite, although sports bar shuts a bit too early which makes my drinken mate Chris Cox a little grumpy. Ahhh well

Decent pub / hotel. Joined family for a birthday dinner - I had a roast platter and thought the turkey and ham roasts were delicious, but left the beef roast as it wasn't very edible.

Clean fresh look, air conditioned nice Christmas atmosphere, perfect for our Christmas catch up. The service from Tayla was exceptional, nice polite, receptive and friendly. She is an asset to your hotel.

Thought would retry this place and safe to say nothing has changed. Luke warm food, long wait, useless staff, meals came out at different times. For the amount of $$ I at least expect hot food, not just warm chips or nearly cold Xmas plate.

The bistro was quiet with plant of room between tables. Our meals all arrived close together and was at eating temperature.

Not the best experience unfortunately. Sounded promising, Marlin was on the chefs suggestions menu. I asked how much Marlin was on the serve and was told 200 grams. Unfortunately it was two small pieces about 100g total. My wife ordered Nasi Goring with prawns which only had one prawn. All in all, a bit of a letdown.

Spent over $70 on two steak meals asked for them to be cooked rare came out medium if not well done.

We use to love going here but went for dinner on Saturday night and now both of us are very sick. We both had the parmas which one was burnt around the edges and then cold in the middle. The other was ok around the edges but cold in the middle. Chips on both weren’t nice either were not cooked long enough. Not a fan of the new menu either. No option for garlic bread.

30 bucks for a hard, chewy Parma, a few chips and a scoop of ready made coleslaw. Nah mate.

After the renos this is a nice place for a chill dinner and drink. Gemma is an absolute superstar and gave top notch service. Thankyou Gemma!
