The worst service ever . The staff today are the worst . They are not at all fit for this service .

Fun karaoke night

Not disability inclusive. We took our client who is non-verbal and disabled to play a game of bowling, the staff member said ‘if he’s going to be loud like that you need to keep him quiet’ Incredibly disappointing and not inclusive.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the staff at Explosions Bar & Bowl in Melton. We held our staff Christmas Party and hired a room with some catering, and I can't fault the staff. A special thanks to Tina, Kayla and Nadia. I dealth with these 3 for the majority of our booking and they were incredible; went over and above to cater to us. The room was beautifully decorated, and we added our own decorations. The food was delicious, and for an adult part of 10-ish, the price was fantastic. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. Thank you for helping us make the evening fun and special for my team.

Staff treated very poorly here, don’t let your teen apply here. Proper rest breaks are rare, 13 hour shifts with a quick 10 minute breather if the worker asks and it’s not busy. The managers will literally say “get your junior to do it, they are below you” for the undesirable jobs. And once they turn 18 shifts drop to one a week, 5 hours if lucky, and they will get rid of them the minute they have a small excuse because they cost more money. As a business just way too overpriced for everything.

The staff at Xplosions Bar & Bowl provided an amazing disco karaoke birthday party for my daughter. All staff were friendly and efficient both before and during the event. The room set-up included a range of colourful lights, disco balls, light-up chairs, comfy lounge furniture, a stage, microphones and screen for the full karaoke experience. Party guests were blown away by the 'night club' style vibe and the party host clapping after singing and encouraging the next singer. The party food was great and the guests having tokens to play the games was a great extra touch. I literally couldn't have asked for a better party experience - highly recommend to others.

Great place to hang with your young family! Really appreciate the girls who on shift today! Your patience to deal with so many kids and ensuring food and drinks came out on time! Also appreciate how clean your parents room is … it’s honestly the basic things that matter! I’ve been 3 times and food and service is always consistent! Don’t expect 5 star restaurant but chips, pie & sausage rolls perfect for snacks and kids. But cool place and girls on shift today were great! Keep up the awesome work Xplosion!

Good option for late night fun on weekends around melton area

Went to Xplosions today, after not visiting for a long time. When I checked my receipt, there was a 10% surcharge. It was a Monday. Nothing special. Place is dead, only 2 other families playing bowling. I asked the staff what the surcharge was for. 3 staff members had no idea. I card fee is usually 1.5%. I was told by the cashier when I asked about the card fee, and she said it was just over $1.00 extra on my $60+ bill. So what was I charged $5.95 surcharge? Total rip off! Won’t be coming back, sorry, but $6 is a bit much for a fee!

I came here to celebrate my twins bday. It was so un organised. There was no preplanning at all. They’ve given us 2 party hosts, from which one was under training they said. I was ok with this, no problems. But throughout the party he barely did anything. We were told in the middle of party that they are finding coins from somewhere and soon provide to the kids as soon as they find. And it took almost an hour wait for the coins. We were still waiting patiently and told them that’s ok in the meantime we can offer food to kids or cut the cake. Both party hosts were disappearing multiple times. I had to find them where they were. We have pre ordered Adults Pizza; which they’ve kept on table 45 minutes before at least without any plates; no tissue boxes. And everyone ate cold pizza on a winter day. When I asked for tissue boxes, they only provided few serviettes may be in total 10 with a party for 21 kids and about 25-30 Adults. I spoke to the manager a day before and she was nice enough to explain everything but unfortunately she wasn’t there on the party day. She told me you will be charged this much which you have to pay at the end of the party because I’ve added coffee for adults too and she said depends how many number of coffees will be served; will be charging according to that at the end. But on the party day what happened was as soon as all the kids were standing in the line to go for bowling, one of the host told us to pay now and then they’ll proceed. Which was insulting for us in front of the guests. We went we paid then. After that 2-3 families came late and then they made us pay for every individual family separately before they can start playing the games or bowling. Again, individual family was coming to us and asking us that at the front desk they are asking to pay. It was mentioned that kids will get shoes for the bowling; no one got any shoes from them. I believe you guys can improve by noting down everything from the start of the party until end and then just tell the Party host that this is what you need to pay in total. Will not recommend at all for parties.

We came for a birthday party. The kids had such a great time trying out all the machines, and choosing the prizes to spend their tickets on. By lunch time the staff knew each child's name. Great party room.

Had a night out with a mate and his family and my family.. the bowling was great fun and having the automatic bumpers for the kids was great. For a Saturday night I feel they could have used an extra staff or so to man the bar. Had to go back to bowling a few time when waiting to order drinks.. prices were quite reasonable for 2 games. We will be back again soon. Update.. had a Boys night rocked up at 9pm got on a lane for 2 games the staff were very helpful and great behind the bar. They gave us plenty of notice before the bar closed. Great night 👍🏾still a great place to come for family entertainment!

Half decent for a place in Melton. My children have lots of fun. They gravitate more to the claw machines, rather than the ticket machines. Nice and close to home. 👌👍

Family night out was epic, fantastic and friendly staff, kids had a ball - reasonable food, great variety of gaming options and bowling was an incredible experience for our little ones.

Had a great experience today during the peak of school holidays. Service was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a game of bowling and arcade games. At times it was quite busy but we had service with a smile and they really took care to make it a special experience for my kids as it was their first time bowling. It’s an older style bowling alley, doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but it’s perfect for a family friendly day out.

Nice staff but a bit run down which would be fine if it wasn't also expensive. Lots of stuff broken and not working.

Only 1 staff member on and place was busy, we had a party of 9 and half way through our game we had issues with the scoreboard and then lane not clearing, moved to another lane which also had computer issues, couldn't get a refund just a voucher to be used within a month, so we cancelled game , service girl was trying to help but being here by herself and a manager she called on phone was less than helpful, we had to pay for our second game and lost our 1st, last time we come here do not recommend

I just want to say a massive thank you to Sue and the team at Xplosions today. We were meant to have my sons birthday party at another venue who cancelled the party 2 days before. We were lucky to be able to book a couple of lanes and hold the party at the bowling alley. Sue was wonderful to deal with and was so helpful to get all the kids in and organised for their games. We really appreciate all the help and accomodations us. The kids had a ball and we will definately be back. Thanks team 😊

Very friendly environment

We went early. Had fun laughing at ourselves. Seats need a bit of an upgrade but everything else was great. Friendly staff, fun arcade games to finish our outing. Thumbs up.

Sexy atmosphere and theme around the establishment, decent value for food and drinks, a multitude of arcade games, and good value bowling and pool. You can't go wrong here and it's fun for the entire family.

The staff seemed busy but were very friendly. There's also an Amazing little arcade off to the side of this bowling alley, a great time was had and we will be back again!

We hired out the party room for our sons 10th Birthday party. Before the party started Nadia went above and beyond to make sure that when my son walked in there would be a smile on his face. Mikayla hosted our party and even though there was a big group of hypo kids she done such a good job of making sure all of the kids enjoyed themselves. 10/10!

Enjoying place with family and friends

Drinks were overpriced, prizes were just terrible something I could get at a dollar store. And it was very messy the bathrooms were very unclean . The game machines kept breaking down. Although I feel like this place is doing the best they can do and does need all the support they can get seems like not many people go here by the traffic going in and out this place. So I suggest just giving them a try and support them for the sake of supporting struggling workers. The stuff are very sweet

It’s fast declining these days. Some of the arcade games are forever out of order, they are always understaffed. Please hire more knowledgeable staff or train your staff properly. Took over half an hour to get a game of bowling organised, seems no one knows what they are doin. Have one staff member cooking food, serving drinks and organising the bowling so expect to wait long periods of time. Could be some much better…

Worst experience! We booked ahead of time, showed up on time, and it took more than 30min for staff to get us started. Staff were frazzled, disorganized, kept stopping to help other customers instead of serving us and leaving us waiting. It took 3 different staff members to finally get us sorted so we could start our game. We then waited more than 35 minutes to be served at the coffee and food bar. Not one staff member came to the service area to help. We gave up and bought coffees at an outside shop as they did not serve us. We then had a staff member literally storm over, growl and verbally abuse us because we had brought in our own takeaway coffees. Absolutely disgusting attitude, screaming at us and leaving our group feeling very unwelcome and appalled. I explained we were not served for more than 35 minutes and she continued to be rude, nasty and yell. We will Never come here again. My friends will Never come here again and I will proceed to make a formal complaint to the ACCC and the owners of X Plosion Bar and Bowl. A horrible way to spend the school holidays with our kids.

Went here for a recent night out. Value for money is good. Easy to get to location and plenty of parking out front or to the side. It’s definitely just a casual bowling ally however. The venue just needs a bit of maintenance. Bumper on one lane wasn’t auto going up, occasionally machine reading wrong pins to reset / how many dropped. Arcade machines were a mixture of not working, not accepting tokens or not printing correct tickets. More just an annoyance having to trouble stuff to get them to sort it out. However staff were friendly and honestly, if your looking for something to do or meet with friends. Well worth the visit.

We played pool and then did bowling and something happened to the machine and it didn’t run smoothly. BUT! Britney truly was an amazing woman, she went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I had a good night. Bless you Britney. You deserve a promotion. Queen. Slay.

Most entertaining, great fun for the kids, arcade is very good too, with fair prizes. Food and alcohol too. Must visit.

We have been to Xplosions quite a few time and we had my daughters birthday party here over the weekend. It was incredible! Everything was super organized and the timing of everything was perfect. All the staff we’ve met there have been great. Mia, our party host, was fantastic with the kids, communicated how everything would run through out the party and after our game of bowling had memorized the kids names and referred to them by name when giving out their food. The party was even better than we expected. All the parent commented on how great it was!

It’s okay if you go play games but for the party, our experience was horrible. We booked specific room month in advance for 2 hours, confirmed multiple times with multiple people. Unfortunately, on the day, we were told the room we booked was not available and after 10 mins chat room was given also asked to be out of the booked room within 1.5 hours. There is no time for decorators to decorate the room, no time for people to eat with time and no the host sang a birthday song even if birthday girl wasn’t ready. It felt so rushed. It’s the only memory that will stay with the people came that day and not the birthday party.

Not good for NDIS support clients companions can’t play(which is basically a support) unless they pay for it . So will not come back.

Still no improvement from my initial review months ago. I used to love this place but has gone horribly downhill since open, you can see how little everyone especially the owners care. Horrible the way we were spoken to and threatened to be removed permanently for refusing to accept this behaviour. Original review; As a long term customer, I’m appalled at the way my friends and I were treated for my birthday party. The night was entirely ruined and 2 members of the party paid for yet never got to bowl, nor got a refund. Very disappointed in the service and attitude from a particular staff member

Had such a great time bowling & playing the arcade games with my 9 year old son in the holidays. Special shout out to amazing staff Sue who was so much fun & made our day.

Had my sons birthday party here a few weeks ago. Was very disappointed with the lack of communication and organisation they had. Our party was at 10.30 and after we finished bowling while waiting for the food there was a whole other party waiting out the front of the party room for us. They were also setting up this other party all while we were still waiting for the food AND hadn’t even started the cake yet. Our party host had absolutely no idea what he was doing, very clueless and unorganised. Unfortunately I will not be having another party here again, just lucky my son & his friends loved it.
