Always great food and service!! Friendly staff and lovely wines to choose from. A dabble on the pokies occassionally is usually a good little money maker. We enjoy our nights at the Malvernvale each week. Wouldn't go to any other pub in this area !!!

Good local pub with very good food at reasonable prices.

Waited from 12 for 40 minutes for my Parma. Chips stone cold and cooked 30 mins earlier I'd say. 😭

Food was terrible

I love this pub as it never disappoints. The food is great value and excellent. We had eggplant parmigiana (huge), pork ribs and calamari. The staff are very courteous and provide excellent service. The atmosphere in the bistro is lovely and inviting.

I’m a regular at this pub. Recently I think the management has changed and since then it has massively gone down hill. I have never been to a pub where you spend $40 on a porter house steak and you don’t have the option to have mash and veg. You know have to buy this separately if you want this as an option. Might be the only pub I have ever been to where you don’t get that option. If you are paying top prices you should get that option. Who ever the new management is needs to look into this. Very disappointing.

I always order the 'Pot & Parma' at the Sports bar. Good parking, place is always clean, staff are friendly and welcoming. The 'Pot & Parma' is always fresh and delicious. The beers always cold, what more can I say. Keep up the great work.

Booked a table for 5 in the main dining room for dinner last Saturday night. The venue itself is quite modern and we loved the decor, white table cloths, comfy seating and our request for a nice table was welcomed and delivered. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the portions were huge and well priced. I had the Lamb Shanks with 2 meaty shanks, mash and the root vegetables they were slow cooked in. No need for side dishes in all the meals purchased at the bar. All drinks and food could only be purchased at the bar. The food was promptly cooked and delivered to our table. Over-all we’d definitely go back and make it a favourite pub to frequent.

My family and I had dinner here twice and both nights was fantastic. The waiter that looked after us, I think his name was Ed, was fantastic all the staff were lovely and helpful but Ed had a fantastic personality for hospitality, Food was absolutely amazing and good value for money. Great job guys.

I had the Beef and Reef. Steak was cooked to perfection 👌chips awesome, the little side dish if prawns and scallops was pretty good, sauce was nice and tasty. Salad was a bit sloppy, overall I was pretty impressed mostly with the steak and the quality of the meat was very good. Forgot to take a photo until I finished. Definitely be back for another steak!

Had dinner Saturday night, many thanks to Chris the manager who greeted us and then proceeded to make our night one to remember with his quick wit. Our meals come out hot, food was delicious. The atmosphere in the lounge was like dining in your own home without having to do all the work associated with having a relaxing meal.

The people working provided terrible service and could not even get an order correct. Was out for dinner just for 2 people. The person taking the meals at the counter was sour needs to learn to smile and learn some service to begin with. We wanted an entree and 2 mains with a drink. But instead Mr sour puss failed to put anything through correctly, and left us with an incorrect main meal, and a main meal was never put through. Asked a waiter where the other main was and he goes to find out, brings out the ticket, and shows that it was never ordered, which was fine, but no offer to rectify his team members mistake by offering to get one cooked up or anything if I wanted. Extremely disappointing generally the service here is good.

We came Sunday night for dinner as we have come to really like the pub and the food. we won’t come again unless improvement is made. One of the meals a hamburger was stone cold! The egg NS BURGER seemed like it was cooked hours earlier, the burger was like rubber and the chips also cold. Yes we should have sent it back to the kitchen but we didn’t want to do it in our group. The other plates had cold chips. So we believe the food has gone ‘downhill’ Just thought id bring it to your attention. Your chef needs to be more tuned in to what people expect when they eat out and warm food is a must. We are sad about it cause it was one of our favourite pubs!

Had wedges, veg pizza and sticky date pudding myself and my friends had wrap. Wedges were good, small portion. Will not recommend veg pizza at all, it was tasteless. Sticky date pudding is 10/10, delicious, good portion and very well served. Customer service is also good, can't complaint.

The portion here is huge, value is quite good, roughly 30$ for a main. We ordered a lot, the highlights are the lasagna, chicken and mushroom Alfredo, the BBQ pork. They were flavorful and tasty. The beer battered chips were amazing. However the Mariana spaghetti was tasteless. We had fun with the pokies machine, winning triple the money we put in. Overall, nothing much to complain.

Service was great, atmosphere was standard! Food was below average. So I’ve been here twice within the last three weeks. First time I ordered the barramundi, it was soggy and tasteless and really quite overpriced. My colleague got the same thing and was equally as disappointed. Second time was last night and I ordered the seafood marinara it was tasteless. seafood was large in size but literally tasteless. It was like they dumped a whole lot of boiled spaghetti in a bowl and added some tasteless seafood. Two of my other work colleagues ordered the same as me and were equally disappointed. My other work colleague got the ribs and they were not good at all. Whilst my other work colleague got the chicken and mushroom rigatoni and it was DELICIOUS! maybe I’m just ordering the wrong thing? But honestly it’s expensive and food is plain. I don’t think I’ll risk it and go back a third time. Or maybe I will and I’ll order the mushroom and chicken rigatoni 😂

We were a group of 19 guests and were well looked after. The food and service were both excellent. Chris, the manager, went out of his way to make sure that every detail was taken care of. Impressive!!

Chris is the owner, manager not sure which. We were late for dinner, but the kitchen provided the most beautiful lamb shanks with an incredible sauce.....the meat fell off the bones and was delicious. Two very large shanks served on a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes and some other vegetables Previously have dined in on their incredible Barramundi done to perfection. So great place not too crowded to relax and enjoy a great meal, not too noisy for a romantic wind down dinner and wine. Sports bar not too far away to satisfy all the crazy sports fans The best cold beer on tap that I have had in a long time too M

We have just finished having a special birthday celebration at this wonderful venue. What a fantastic place. The food was generous in size and absolutely delicious. The staff were so amazing and our food came out very fast. Well done Malvernvale. You should be proud!! Thank you.

Comfortable, spacious, great food and very friendly staff.

This will be the first of many….. wow what an amazing experience. Didn’t book but was catered for. The food was delicious. There was a gentleman by the name of Chris - who not only served us but was so knowledgeable. He told us about the history of this bistro. You could tell he took pride in his work. His personality added to our amazing experience.

Had to find a place last minute in the area for my dad abd nephew's birthday. Thought we'd give this a go. What a win! Staff were so helpful and friendly! Spacious. My pork ribs melted in my mouth. Mum's Marinara however was dry which was unfortunate otherwise I would've given a 5 rating too. I'd go back again!

We've been to the MalvernVale on many occasions. We are rarely disappointed by the food or service. Great value too

Food was terrible. Sent it away but didn’t receive any feedback from kitchen or staff. Ran out of gluten free beer too so we left. Very overpriced for below average food and service. Our only night away in Melbourne wasted.

Always a fantastic place to go any time of the week day or night. Service is amazing. Cannot complain about anything there and management is brilliant.
