Carpet in the room was discussing,
Had a fantastic stay with my partner. Reasonable priced, great service and clean stay. Swimming pool was so nice.
Nice clean place to stay, perfect location
Charged me mini bar service, which I did not take it at all. Rang them and emailed to ask for refund. Never heard back from them. The pool is much smaller than the picture shows. Over-crowded with kids.
Never disappoints!
Very nice view and terrific location Have swimming pool and Sunna Only short side is no bath tub in the suite
全豪オープンテニス見に行きました。 メルボルン中心部にあり7日間宿泊しました。快適なホテルでした。
Rooms need repaint and caulking, stains on carpet. Would happily pay another 100 a night to not see these issues
No room service food at all. 25 minutes to check in. See photo. Long lines. The pool was full so there are limited seats by the pool, we had nowhere to put our towel or belongings. We really were disappointed, the staff said it's a Sunday so the chairs are always taken. We would not stay again, a lack of room service means this hotel is really 3 star at best with poor service. Old TV, no streaming, no Netflix, and $19.95 per movie. And 25 minutes to check in is ridiculous.( the pool had 30 children and about 50 adults in the water on a Sunday, plus 50 people on the 30 available beds/chairs, as it's an indoor pool it is incredibly noisy with the children, this is not a hotel for a weekend getaway or romantic weekend at all)
Crown Promenade seems to have lost its spark. Closing the pool at 7pm is an example. Used to be able to take the kids after dinner. New owners of crown seem to have ignored what made the place special. Rooms and facilities need to be renovated. Sad to see. The staff still try their best but the place is going downhill.

We stayed with our two children just after New Year's this year and as per previous visits, Crown Promenade was lovely. After reading some negative reviews, I was worried the amenities had been cut back, although this didn't appear to be the case. We were greeted by lovely friendly staff upon arrival. Our standard 2 queen bed room was clean and presented very well. They still provide dressing gowns, a fully stocked minibar, a whole set of amenities in the bathroom, and in-room dining. We had planned to order in-room dining, however the prices were ridiculous, with a bowl of chips costing over $25. Instead we headed downstairs to the multitude of restaurants. The pool was open whenever we wanted to use it and we always managed to grab a couple of lounges. The location is great, being so close to Southbank, The Docklands, Flinders Street Station, The Exhibition Building and SeaLife Aquarium. We walked over to the Myer Windows which only took 20 mins each way. It seems to be only families with young children staying over the few days following New Year's Day, which was perfect for us. We will again make our annual visit here next year. Thanks Crown Promenade!
Favourite motel in Melbourne
We stayed in a suite on the night of our wedding. I had purposely called the reservations line to let them know and nothing was setup in our room on arrival. In addition the roof in the bathroom began to drip water during the night, resulting in water all over the floor, a slip due to all the water on the floor and resulted in us being kept up during the night because of it. Disappointing after booking one of there premium suites.
We went on Friday 10/01 for a one night stay / we arrive to check in and there is a massive line which takes over 25 mins just to check in, we are given 2 cards for the hotel room however after a long night we head up to the room to sleep only to find our card access has been blocked, we head back down to reception at 11pm - 2 staff on with 2 customers and I am next in Que yet it takes 15-20 mins for me to get served, once I am served the worker doesn’t even apologise and just makes it sounds like it’s a normal thing by saying ‘ yeah the PayPass’ affects and your mobile service ‘ whatever that means I have no idea, I was tired and just wanted to sleep. Overall service is not that good, I feel like the staff do and say the minimum to get by with customers, no genuine effort to go that extra mile with exceptional customer service, although it doesn’t help when you do not have enough staff on / even upon check in when going up in the lift and stepping out / it’s past 3pm yet the cleaners were all over the floor still cleaning a lot of the rooms / why aren’t all the rooms clean already since everyone checks out by 11am that morning? Also upon check out, same thing, over 30 mins to check out, they need more staff! Anyways quite average stay guys, don’t recommended this place sorry, we are booking next with crown Metropol so hopefully we have a better experience there.
Room was very clean.. no toilet brush😩one very small tube of body cream. Reception at check in was very good. Excellent for those unable to walk far. Restaurants and casino all close by
Rudest reception staff ever! This already straight off the bat made me not happy but the next thing shocked me. 3 cottonbuds left under the sink in the bathroom just on the floor! Absolutely appalling makes me wonder if they truly clean there at all! It was the first thing I spotted and it’s not like it’s in a hidden position either. Absolutely gross for a four star hotel. Not happy at all.
Great staff Very nice and easy entry if driving in Easy check in Easy car valet Easy check out Rooms very clean
Paid for parking and got our window smashed and everything stolen inside of it, they extended our check out but when I went to reception and told them they just smiled and sent us off. Do better
The good:|•kids loved the pool |•clean||The bad:|•bell boys team lost our luggage for over 1.5 hours, no one knew where it was and they had to review security footage to see where it was placed (in the wrong room)|•beds small and uncomfortable (twin share - 2 adults 2 kids)|•room too hot even with the aircon on|•valet parking staff took ages to bring car out in the early morning - took over 30 mins |•limited choices for restaurants with kid friendly food
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay The staff were friendly and accommodating. But the swimming pool hours are not great , it only opens at 9am and closes at 7pm . It would be better to have an actual swim if it was open at 6 or 7am and closes at 9 or 10pm
Paid for a Sweet Dreams Package, which included sparkling wine delivered to your room and icecream on the deck for the kids. Once we got home my mrs reminded me that we had never received any sparkling wine and when we went on the deck where the pool was, they only had Calypo icy pols. Thats not what they have on the promotion photo for the package. My kids were disappointed and did not even want the Calypo. Its a scam dont bother.
Horrific service here. Hotel staff unfriendly, rude, possibly racist. Avoid
Over rated. Room was ok . Staff very bland. Breakfast very average for the price $155 for 2 adults. Location great!
3.5/4 star hotel at best. Hanging off the coattails of the Crown brand. Our first stay at this hotel, would honestly not rate this more than 4 stars (being generous!). Bathroom was covered in patches of mould with little attempt to even clean or rectify. Doors and tapware were covered in fingerprints from guests before us. Headboards were covered in dirt and makeup stains, so icky. Dust all through the shelving, corners etc. Literally no attention to detail. I did call Guest Services on 2 occasions, first they sent up housekeeping who advised 'this was my colleagues room, not my work' and promptly went down to advise management but didn't attempt to clean. Second time they just sent up a free bottle of sparkling. Cool, but how about you just clean the room to the standard it should be? |Management seemed to have little delegation to authorize a change of room, or anything else. They offered us a discount on our next stay, but we would never go back with the abundance of great hotels in Melbourne. In the end they gave us free parking ($29), but room still wasn't cleaned..||They could take a leaf out of the books of other hotel chains like Hyatt/Park Hyatt who are exceptional with customer service and amenities.||Notes: room amenities are limited, you need to call to request almost everything. No complimentary bottled water, bring your own. We did the buffet breakfast ($35pp), you need to pay for coffees unlike most other hotel buffets.||Pros: pool was packed (Xmas holidays) but was lovely and great views and facilities. Gym looked pretty good too but we didn't use it. Views from our room were great.
This is a great place for a short stay. Great location, very helpful staff.
Well, where do I even begin? My partner and I decided to stay here for a short staycation and bring our two-year-old twin boys for a Christmas experience. Our luggage came to our room an hour late, it would’ve been quicker for us to carry the luggage up ourselves. We were promised a cot, and since it was the busy season, we were happy to have just one of our boys sleep with us. However, the cot never arrived. Despite numerous phone calls to the reception, they repeatedly assured us that it was coming but never delivered it. Later that night, a guy named Danny admitted that they didn’t have a cot for us. To make matters worse, we couldn’t fit four people in a queen bed, even though we had paid a significant amount of money for a comfortable stay…. To top it all off, we were shocked by the state of our room. Dust covered the furniture, grime and mould were visible in the bathroom basin, and bandaids wrappers were found underneath the bed. Faced with these issues, we decided to pack our belongings and leave that night. When we went downstairs to get our refund, the lady at the counter clearly misread our guest information and made a mistake after telling her multiple times my details. Her incompetence was evident. She returned the wrong amount of money to my card and had to waste my time and repeat the process twice. I am deeply disappointed with this experience and will never consider returning to the Promenade. Pay the little extra and go to Metropol or towers. Lesson learnt!
Room is nice no smart tv and they want 20 - 40 dollars to watch a movie. Crown is living in the 80s. I won’t be back.
From start to finish we had an incredible experience staff fantastic helpful friendly keep up the good work.
Great pool and spa. Nice clean room. Great location
✔️❤️👍
Would not advise staying at this hotel - I received a letter in the mail banning me from the complex with no explanation, and upon further questioning have been advised it was due to an 'illicit item' in my room. I had the most boring stay imaginable (no drinking, just dinner and early bed) and am appalled to think what item was not picked up in the cleaning prior to my check-in, and was present during our stay. To then be accused of being linked to said item (of which they won't tell me what it is!) and treated as guilty until proven innocent is an unacceptable way to treat your guests. Shame on you Crown.
Beautiful room. Close to casino floor. Very convenient. Thank you for nice stay.
Accomodation was fine but being charged $45 for one 300 ml scotch and dry stubbie from the bar fridge was absolute outrageous. Requested someone contact me regarding the charge but no-one bothered.
Great rooms and excellent value for money.
Bit disappointed we didn't get a complimentary bottle of wine like we have in the past
Room was far too warm like the air cooler wasn’t working both nights
A hotel that doesn't offer room service is like a car that doesn't have air-conditioning. So many kitchens and so many chefs in Crown Casino and you can't offer some form of room service? It's a deal breaker for me. Rooms are lovely and the service is good.
No pool access for business guests. One of the only hotels in Australia where the pool opens after work begins in the city. You wont get a chance for a swim before work here. The pools close early too - makes it hard to access after a long day of work.
EVERY TIME we come to Melbourne we stay here. Why change when everything is fantastic🤷♀️ Staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and spotless. Easy check in/out. Loads of restaurants walking distance. Rivers not far. Great stay
Stayed here for one night, it was not too bad. Location is really great being one complex with casino. The staff was very accommodating as well. Room was nice, clean and tidy. The entertainment system was outdated i.e TV only has few channels and the bluetooth alarm clock on the nightstand was not working at all. Also the lobby smells so good but as soon as we reach our floor (15th floor) it smells like damp carpet. Upon check out, out of 6 computers only 2 staffs working making long queue and long wait for both guests checking in and out. Really need more staff especially in the busy hour!
Nice room very well appointed, but the pillows were not to my liking . Would stay again .
The pool was fabulous and spar warm. Monica made the best best coffee ! She was a delight to chat to each morning. The room had a great view
We love Crown Hotels but this time around very disappointed. Advised at check in there was no room service at this time, not that it was a necessity but is nice to have the option of. And in our room, we had no body wash as it was empty when we arrived and after pur room was made up, still none. Had to call to get body wash, and tea/coffee facilities refilled. Not the 4-5 star service I would usually expect from Crown.
One the worst experiences. Booked the venue for one night out with my spouse. It was booked as aircon room. While sleeping we feel hot. We called the service desk and they told me may be my aircon setting is not right. Their person comes and changed the setting from -to +. Even then no change ( a change will only come when there was a aircon) call the manager again and this time change back to -. Manager told me maintenance people check on their end and system is working and he told us it is working. I told him it is not and if -means minimum then + should mean maximum and I should be getting hot air for last 15-20 minutes. The best surprise it takes 2 hours for cold to hit and vice versa. Really!!!!! I was also advised there is no other room available for change. Thankfully I live locally, take my stuff and come back home. Now the major points of consideration for me are 1. Is that crown is worth the hype in Melbourne. 2. Staff and mangers at the facility are the worst at best. 3. Thanks for killing my experience. Cannot believe I got my worst experience in one of the best advertised properties in Melbourne. The staff have no clue how their own aircon system work but are happy to tell customer you are wrong and we cannot help you. It also shows quality of training and management.
Great rooms, although they weren't very sound proof, the room next to me was playing music and talking loudly even at 2 AM and I could hear everything. Being situated next to the lift you could also hear people coming and leaving. Service was friendly although check in took over half an hour even though there were probably only 10 groups in front of us. The line ended up getting huge but they only had 2-3 people working the counter.
Great location, friendly staff and very clean and neat.
rude staff, got charged for break fast despite already paying for it when we booked (got charged $121.40) and only got back $120. room had stains and some furniture was broken. shower had a lot of mould. a little outdated - would expect much better from crown.
Rudest staff on reception. Pay $1000 for 3 nights to line up to checkout to be served by an extremely rude staff member who lied about sending my invoice and was extremely rude. My sister in law also commented she couldn’t believe how rude she was. After having to line up again to get the invoice that she said she sent to me but didn’t and complained I have heard nothing. The hotel is definitely not worth the money, rude staff and no customer service. Do not stay here, Rooms are old and need an update. Do not waste your money unless you want to leave unhappy and deal with rude staff.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Friendly staff. Great service
A great place for a city stay. Lovely service, clean and convenient. Only downside was that their hotel restaurant was not operating and that no room service was available. Otherwise, a great stay!
Relaxing, comfortable 😌, had a beautiful pool, 🏋️♀️, two queen beds, when you arrive if you've booked valet which I did, the nice man gave me a ticket and parked my car under the hotel. 🙂 The staff that greet you are super friendly and fast and give you your key cards. And help you with everything you need. Definitely recommend this hotel again.
Stayed here before, very convenient and easy to get to, valet parking is excellent, checking in was painful on 2 occasions, checked in yesterday and waited too long given it was pre booked and pre paid. |Would be nice if there were deals for breakfast at Mesh that could be added to a room booking for a discounted rate.
Here for a conference. Hotel is great and to be recommended . Excellent location. large quite clean rooms to a high standard. We did enjoy the art (both in-room and in the building). Bathroom facilities exceptionally good and the room was super quiet. One small thing I wish they had some real coffee available in room as opposed to a few instant packages. . The coffee bar in the foyer wasn't the best.
Probably my least favourite hotel I’ve ever stayed. We paid almost $100 more per night going direct than available on booking.com. The response from reservations was pretty much “we prefer direct bookings but too bad.” Some staff looked like they didn’t want to be there and weren’t helpful (not all, some were great). An example of this was when my friend went to validate parking and they said I had to do it even though she was the one who made the booking. The pool, sauna and steam room close at 7pm so forget unwinding after dinner in the sauna. When you’re paying almost $1200 for two nights, you expect better! I would not recommend.
No room service!!!
Very clean and modern rooms.
Stayed here recently while attending a conference at the Crown conference centre. ||This hotel is part of the Crown mega complex. Service was efficient, rooms were large with a sitting area and desk. ||I did find it strange for a hotel such as this to have no in-room dining but no major problem with plenty of food options available nearby. Nice takeaway coffee shop with quick breakfast options (pastries, bircher muesli, bacon & egg rolls) available in the lobby. ||Overall a comfortable stay for business but it doesn’t have that unique personal feel I would look for when traveling as a leisure guest.
Good good good
Volvería a seleccionarlo
We booked a suite costing us almost $1000 for the night and were sorely disappointed. As soon as we reached our floor, it stunk and when I first opened the door to our room, I knew we had wasted our money. No room service, severely outdated, no bathroom amenities. Any other hotel would have been preferable. My girlfriend also booked a room the same night and her bedding wasn’t changed, no fresh towels provided. Disgusting. We won’t be going back. I tried obtaining a refund only to be offered an upgrade for my next stay. Complete rip off. Save your money.
I always stayed here and I was happy ,but just come this week and the service is terrible, the facilities close at 7 pm , the staff at reception … worse than bad 😑 No room service either , no bathrobes in the room, lot of changes
Yusef at the concierge desk was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Stellar service.
We had a lovely stay but take a photo of your mini fridge. I was charged for an item we did not drink, requested refund but had no response 😔
They no longer provide room service which is disappointing. Short staffed. In room entertainment is outdated and insanely overpriced.
