Took my son and his cousins to Timezone over the weekend and I just want to say thank you to Sophia for the amazing service she showed, was very helpful and kind on approach. Really made my time there a little easier especially with a handful of kids!

Had daughters 8th Birthday here. Would reccomend booking earlier sessions to avoid the crowds. We did a Sunday 10am -12:30pm session and was great. Kids enjoyed the games, loves getting to choose prizes at the end and enough time for some lunch and cake in their party room. Thank you to host Yelda too. She challenged the kids to the games and they enjoyed it.

Thank you to Ashlee for being a great party host. She connected and engaged with the kids really well, helped everything run smoothly, even helped with serving of food and drinks. Kids loved it, low stress for parents. Winning for everyone.

Had an amazing day at TimeZone, Knox celebrating Dehan’s 10th Birthday. It was well organised and we absolutely loved our host Ashlee.

The Golden DanceDance Revolution cabinet has been made much better since I initially wrote this review. Though not on the same quality as the old white cabinet, it's perfectly serviceable and playable (though you do need to manage your weight distribution on holds) unlike how it was back when I first reviewed. Knox also has recently gained a few more games, such as Maimai, updated to the most recent release, and they still have their up to date Chunithm cabinet, along with all the other big arcade games like Wangan Terminal, etc.

It gets mega loud due to the cramped space, but the DDR cab is great due to the tech. Took some convincing to the staff / manager to turn up the cab volume though...surprised only techs are allowed to adjust the setting, I did not have this problem at other TEEG venues. Maimai gets way too loud for Chuuni

EDIT: Very interesting, I post a negative review, then the Maimai cab is updated immediately the next day (granted, after a few days of not actively checking). Not sure why this is one of (if not the) last venue to have yet to update the Maimai cab from Buddies+ to Prism. The update dropped two weeks ago. While I understand the installation USB may be taking some time to be posted out, what I don't understand is how the other Timezones venues with Maimai have all been updated by now (e.g. Highpoint, Preston, Werribee). Are you not able to source the installation USB from one of these neighbour venues? I will revise this review once the Maimai cab has been updated.

Wow, what an amazing party! You did such a fantastic job hosting—everything was perfectly organized and the atmosphere was so welcoming. From the delicious food and drinks to the fun activities, you really thought of everything. I had such a great time and could tell everyone was enjoying themselves too. Great fun

Kids had fun on the games but don't bother with the claw machines, payouts are set way too low!!! Played one claw machine 8 times and watched a couple other people play the same claw between my turns and despite picking up on all but 1 attempt the claw voltage was set so low that it dropped every time! Not coming back to this location sadly!

Jess from Timezone made my birthday celebration unforgettable! Her friendly attitude and genuine care ensured we had the best night ever. Highly recommend asking for Jess if you’re planning a visit! Also shout out to Shaylea, she was also anazing!

The kids always have a great time here. Many staff on duty so you can always get assistance when needed. We hosted a birthday here too and it ran seamlessly. They were organised and all the activities were on time. The party host is always nearby in case you need a hand with anything.

We had my son’s 10th birthday party here. Fantastic place. Kids had an absolute ball. Our party host Sarah was a gem. Friendly, helpful and interacted great with the kids making them all feel well looked after. Being able to bring your own food is a massive bonus, fridge and microwave facilities available. Highly recommend.

I used to be a weekly regular just for the DDR white cab but stopped coming when the gold cab was introduced in May. I remember being excited to try out the new machine only to be met with frustration as my steps wouldn't register and hold arrows would drop even though my feet were clearly on the arrows. I had to slam my feet so hard to get the arrows to register being pressed compared to the previous white cab which registered all my steps while stepping lightly. This disappointing experience was what caused myself and fellow DDR regulars to stop coming by. Four months later, I dropped by today to see if the gold cab has been fixed and alas, nothing has changed. Steps are still not registering correctly, and holds are still dropping even while being held. Though, to say nothing has changed would be incorrect since the price per play has increased for an immensely worse experience. Please have the technicians fix the state of the gold cab! Edit: 6/11/24 The gold cab is in a much better state compared to before. Steps and holds are now registering properly. One small thing, the down arrow on P2 side does not light up when active, but the input itself is fine. Appreciate TZ management for getting the cab in shape.

Dear Timezone Knox, Marcus was the bestest worker. He helped very well and set up our laser tag very good. He’s people skills are excellent and I think you should make him a full time worker because he did very very very amazing.

It's great! I come periodically to play maimai, however, what is stopping the 5 stars is the lack of a selection of rhythm games. 4 is an ok amount but maybe some taiko and dancerush thrown in there would be really nice.

I had an amazing experience at Timezone thanks to the incredible service from Sophia! From the moment we walked in, they were friendly, welcoming, and super helpful. Their positive energy and enthusiasm really made the night fun for everyone in our group.

Ashlee was a fantastic host for our 12 year old’s birthday party. She was warm, enthusiastic and very attentive to the kids. She proactively helped whenever she could; serving cake, rounding up kids for lazer tag, versing them in games to see if they could earn extra points if they could beat her. I work in education and deal with a lot of teenagers on a daily basis - Ashlee was truly outstanding and made our day!

Was - Pay attention to terms & conditions on the card!! When I first bought the card early last year, the staff NEVER told me the unused balance will be expired 12 months from the last in-venue use date. I bought the card and then my little baby born, I won’t bring my elder one to the venue again until my little one turn 1 year old. All the sudden, I found the balance of my card is $0. I can’t understand why the card has such a short period of life, most of the giftcard that I bought has at least 3 years expiry date. It doesn’t make sense for me to store the card with any money in it.

Our party host for my son Kalana’s birthday, Marcas was amazing! He provided excellent service and assisted us throughout the whole set up. He was very kind towards us and was extremely nice towards the younger kids. He is a great person and an excellent party host at Knox Timezone.

This venue does not support the usage of fans for dance dance revolution. Last month when I visited they were present, today they were absent. DDR players will now have to deal with this inconvenience. Not a fan anymore.

One of the 'premiere' Timezone locations in Victoria for it's unique selection of Japanese rhythm games such as DDR, Chunithm, maimai and Gitadora Guitarfreaks. The DDR machine especially, is excellently maintained, with modded pads that are arguably the best in the entire state and a decent fan you're able to use. It's certainly great to see the addition of Chunithm late last year and more recently, maimai, making these great games even more accessible to the general public and rhythm game enthusiasts in the south-east. All-in-all, a great TZ venue, though one star has been removed due to the disappointing state of the Gitadora Guitarfreaks machine. This machine in particular is an interesting draw to TZ Knox since it's the only Gitadora machine available in the entire state! However, since it's arrival last year, the tilt sensor for 'wailing' motions is completely non-functional, and the game is an update or two out of date, so people that have logged into machines with newer updates cannot login to this machine unfortunately. If these issues were remedied, TZ Knox would certainly be a 5-Star venue for it's diverse and well-maintained rhythm game lineup. I look forward to Timezone Knox receiving exciting new additions to it's already great rhythm game selection. Perhaps another 'Sound Voltex Valkyrie Model' machine for the entirety of Victoria aside from Highpoint? Haha

Geneva is a wonderful party host who is fully attentive to every need no matter how big or small, even helped with blowing up balloons for a display right from the beginning without being asked for help. My daughter and her friends all had a wonderful time and had absolutely no issues with approaching or finding Geneva for any help or questions, thankyou so much for providing a wonderful party for my daughter and her friends!

Love to come here to play DDR and the new gold cab is great! Huge thanks to the staff for working to get the pads as good as they can be. The only problem is the new fishing game to the right of it is OBNOXIOUSLY loud. Either the volume needs to be turned down or the machine needs to be moved elsewhere because the whole thing drowns out a lot of the music. Thanks!

DDR Gold Machine needs some pad maintenance and modifications. The game is barely playable to the regulars who often come by. The timing and pads don’t sync together properly. Please adjust them and bring back the good old days like with what Knox had previously with the white cabinet. Kind regards.

Wangan midnight maximum tune machines need more maintenance, the gears are not moving properly Edit: they fixed one of the gearboxes but there’s still a couple that don’t work 100%

Changing my review, due to the recent removal of the fans for ddr players making the experience mustard.

Had to change my review because they got rid of the ddr fans making it unplayable due to how hot you get, also it would be so nice to get a SDVX cab, we have mai mai and chuni and guitadora but SDVX would be cool too :3 Anyway we rly need fans back

No fans at ddr anymore, which makes the game almost unplayable and worst in hot weather

It was the best place to go for DanceDance Revolution (and they've just recently introduced Maimai as well). They have excellent staff and great care is taken of the machines. Unfortunately, they have just recently removed the standing fans in front of the cabinets, citing the excuse that there are health and safety concerns. This would make sense, but the entire state of NSW did not have fans, or other select venues across Victoria. Honestly disappointing from my favourite arcade in the Melbourne area. EDIT: the above problems have since been remedied and Knox is once again probably the best venue for general arcade goers on the east side in Melbourne.

Do not play this game machine! I have played a same machine in at Forest hill, but the prize drops were much easier than at Knox. Everyone knows the machines can be rigged, and the people at this store are too greedy! I spent over $70 on this machine and got 0. These photos are all the prizes I made drop, except for two.

Really enjoyed this timezone, it had a DDR machine which I enjoy a lot, as well as ninja turtle game. They added some new games as well since I last visited. I just wish they had a Wild west shootout game as well, then it would be a perfect set up arcade for me. Anyways great place 👌
