I’m deeply disappointed with my stay here, and it ended up ruining what should have been a relaxing holiday. On our first day, we spent over $350 at the restaurant downstairs, only to be kicked out of the dining area by an unfriendly and aggressive bodyguard. This individual completely ignored the clear signage that stated minors are allowed in the area when accompanied by an adult over 18. It was not only embarrassing but also incredibly frustrating, especially after spending so much money. To make matters worse, the accommodation fell far short of expectations. There was no Wi-Fi available on the TVs, which was inconvenient, and the bathroom sink was awkwardly placed outside the bathroom, in the main room. This design choice felt both uncomfortable and impractical. While the food was decent and the drinks reasonably priced, I would strongly advise against staying here if you're traveling with a minor. The treatment we received from untrained, power-hungry bouncer left a bitter impression, and despite the bar staff being friendly and genuinely apologising for the bodyguard's behaviour, this experience completely overshadowed our stay. This was simply unacceptable, and as a result, we will not be recommending or returning to this hotel.

Thanks to the staff as I booked the wrong dates to stay and being fully booked they made the effect to accommodate us to stay. Clean rooms and central location to accor stadium. Would recommend to stay. The pub also does a great feed.

Today I just came here in the gaming zone, cos I used to be a regular customer before . Two of the waitress ,the way they talked with me I feel like so disgusting I shouldn't have to be here if I don't have money with me, also saying that if you don't have money you have no place no space inside the gaming zone. I just said myself wow wow amazing, they just treat me like a, I am not a human being in a certain time. They pushed me to felt, i think I shouldn't have been there part of it. just wanted to say one thing try to teach them how to do customer care and try to teach them how to talk with the customers otherwise how I felt other customers gonna be feel like that. Also 1 waitress came to me and told me no money no gaming zoon. I clearly heard that 3/4 time she also mentioned that to me manager said them, no money no gaming. It is literally frustrating and disrespectful to the others. Shame on ......

Glad we meet here, close for a family catch up. Go try it, staff friendly as well.👍

I haven't stayed in the rooms there but i have been to the gaming area a few times. Always nice and clean with very attentive wait staff offering food and drinks whilst you play.

Ok for a guick lunch

This place is good value for money. Good location and great staff. Willing to help when needed and great bar staff. The food here was good value for money and great quality.

Nice little bar but no Reschs

Bit sus when first walked in but wow these people are so lovely and accommodating and we can see it comes from the top. Thankyou megan

The Markets Hotel never disapoints. The staff were amazing and friendly, check in was super quick and easy. I ordered the Scotch Fillet and it was perfect. The room, toilet and shower were a little outdated but very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend The Markets Hotel

Stayed here for a night after seeing a concert at Sydney Olympic Park. The closeness to Qudos Bank Arena (and others) is pretty unbeatable for the price. Note that you have to enter through the Pokies to get to reception, but after that the hotel is accessible through a seperate entrance so you don’t have to go through the pub. The place (the pub, but also the hotel rooms) smell vaguely of smoke. The bathrooms are outdated and having the sink in the bedroom as opposed to the bathroom is a bit strange but not entirely impractical. Other than that, beds are fairly comfortable and did the job, but the pillows were not great. There were also some miscellaneous stains in the linen on one of the beds. You get what you’re paying for in that regard. The 3-star rating is fitting.

Not bad, but allowing people to openly smoke indoors. Weird smell in corridor.

Winsome losesome can't win them all but market hotle win big sometimes.try your luck if you can afford to lose.just remember you either win or you lose.thats why its called Grambling.

Good location close to Olympic precinct which suited us. Staff were really helpful even showing us to our room . Hotel was spotless including rooms and public areas. The venue is noisy especially from the gaming area late at night. That said it suited our purpose for 2 nights.

Food was delicious. Basic but effective hotel room. Cheap drinks, really nice service. Gave off brothel vibes with the teeny tiny skirts on staff but overall recommend and would stay again.

This hotel is centrally located, interestingly convenient and the capability of it all very impressive. The staff are bloody friendly and extraordinarily accommodating (especially Megan and the Chef !), the food was pretty good and the different areas of the hotel meant that you could have some quiet time or busy time depending on what you wanted to do. I'd even come back and stay for a weekend getaway

Nice stay

I visited the Bistro with some friends and had a wonderful evening. All patrons were singing with glee, led by a brilliant and engaging pianist ( Tim i.e. musical genius). The vibe is supurbly unmatched. If you want dinner, sing a long and a great show pop in on a Friday night to see Tim. A truly immersive experience. Will definitely be back!

Had a great night at the Markets pub in Flemington. The highlight was a group of women singing. What fun, great songs, they will definitely make me pay a return visit.

I visited the bistro with some friends recently and we thought the service was wonderful, thank you. What made the evening very special for us, was hearing this man playing the piano. It was apparent that he was a highly skilled musician and his music gave us goosebumps. He could play everything we requested. Thank you for making it such a memorable evening.

Upon arrival was very difficult to find an entrance as signage wasn’t clear. When we finally found an entrance I went up to the car to ask where to sign in and I got told “there” and they pointed to a door. I navigated my way through to a gaming room, I spoke to someone and there was no communication at all, no hi how are you? How can I help? Customer service poor. The person who checked us in, basically ran off on us, rolled her eyes because we were clearly taking up so much of her time (we have 5 bags between 2 people) she handed us our key and said through the doors, up stairs. No offer to help with bags or open the door, just walked off. Upon arrival to the room, it smelt musty, the back of the curtains were black like they had been used as drop sheets for painting previously. We needed up going to another pub for dinner about 30 minutes to an hour after arriving. Upon arrival back to the room, I went to have a shower, my friend noticed mould on the roof, the fan didn’t work and was covered in cob webs, and upon laying the bath mat on the floor there was stains all over it like it had been picked up and hung over the shower glass. We decided to pack our bags and leave, as someone with a medical condition I can’t be somewhere with mould. As we were heading down the stairs we noticed chewing gum had been attached to the wall. This chewy was dried out, indicating it had been there a while. As we got down to check out, a staff member was sitting in front of the coffee machine, and using the back of it as a mirror to do her hair. Absolutely disgusting. I will never use this hotel again. Shouldn’t even be operating as a hotel.

The Music Man on Friday nights definitely add a lot more life to the place! He's really good with the music he plays. We can put our requests in and he will attempt to play it. Very friendly bloke. I really just go for the music! I am so glad they have got a good musician to jazz up the mood at the hotel

Nice

Very nice place

Food was good. Piano music was great.

Solid hotel, nice staff and the pub downstairs serves cheap drinks, bathrooms in the rooms could use an update.

Love this place my favourite pub

Hello Market ❤️ my experience for last night dinner was marvelous having such delicious food with best serving techniques gives me the pleasure to feel like vip . Specially one girl i think from india was so helpful she understands easily everything . Really appreciate that

We were fortunate to celebrate a special birthday dinner of my girlfriend Recently. Basically I’m from London and the most attentive service by that Indian girl , she was very cooperative and giving wonderful service for us . I really appreciate the managerial staff and special that Indian girl every one need to be same like her and after that hotel experience I’ll definitely recommend that hotel to my friends in London . Thanks to the Indian girl . Great job ❤️❤️

Indian girl working there in accomadition is really good and helpful very harworking ❤️😉

Great hotel, bistro, tab, great out door area, rooms are nice and clean, staff friendly, 30 min walk to Sydney Olympic Park, and flemmington markets across the car park

Went to the restaurant only. Food is fine. Parking available on premise and nearby. On Fridays there is an amazing pianist who livens up the place. Had a lot of fun singing along to some familiar songs

More vegetables in here than Flemington Markets; a truly depressing place. It's a great place to go if you have no other hobbies other than gambling. If you love the TAB, you're in for a treat, it may distract you from drinking but you'll probably find your wallet a little lighter. Have you wasted away your inheritance? Spent your child's college fund? This is the place for you. Paddy's Brewey is also located in here but it was shut at 3pm on a Saturday. They also don't do jugs of beer and don't have personalised beer coasters. In truth I've never seen so many sunken eyes, everyone here is a zombie. But then again, I'm in here, so what does that say about me.

I was on poker section on Tuesday evening and lady is so rude don't even recognise the customer that comes daily and also ask for tips and if didn't give they will say last beer. Some ladies are very rude The pub across the street on same road is alot better than this one

Great budget hotel. Rooms were surprisingly well presented. The regular patrons even made you feel at home, ready for a chat.

I didn't stay there so can't comment on the rooms. I went to the Brewery restaurant. Love the Freddie's favorite which never fails me. It's the most expensive at $45 but it's worth it. As it's a pub setting, you have to pick up the food from counter when the buzzer buzzes. The people who work there are cheerful and very friendly. There's carpark right outside.

Was gonna give 5 stars review until housekeeper keeps knocking out door before our check out time that’s pretty annoying.

First time here was today 19th Nov 2023, friendly staffs and the venue so amazing and clean. I felt very welcomed by the staffs and security guard is so cool. I'll probably go back there again. ❤️🍻🍻🍻

The service here is great but the hotel is situated above the restaurant and games room which is very confusing. It is a bit noisy at night due to bar and gambling below. location is good.

Greatest happy hour & sensational food

We stayed here when we saw BLACKPINK at Qudos because all the Olympic Park accommodation was sold out. It was about a 25min walk which wasn't too bad. Entering the hotel is confusing, but the reception desk is in the casino area. You will recognise it as there were bowls of fruit and lollies on the desk. The room was comfortable enough for one night however the mould in the air conditioner vent was unappealing. Also the sink was not in the bathroom but the main area beside the bed and no hand towel which was inconvenient. The staff were friendly though and the food in the restaurant area was ok. I particularly appreciated the QR code ordering system.

You have to go through the VIP lounge gaming area to the counter there to check in and out. This is the smoking lounge and as non-smokers this was quite an uncomfortable experience, breathing in second hand smoke and vape while we waited and went through the check-in process. Happy hour 4-6pm (Thursday) in the bar. $10 for two schooners was good. The room had everything we needed and was comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Market Hotel was clean the staff are courteous food was good only thing was the markets starting early behind the hotel

Awesome Friday night entertainment with great food! The Pianist/Singer was top notch, wonderful choice of songs, all washed down with great food and drink! Head on down there!

Tim the Music Man is an absolute treat - makes a visit to the hotel a must.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful night of piano music and some singing last night in the bistro. Beautiful reasonably priced food. Friendly service. Stunning pianist.

Good atmosphere and service.

U need to be Asian background to be welcomed there and to win at the pokies

Decent priced drinks, the pokies are a maze

We dine here on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. The chefs are very professional as well as friendly, and will always take time to listen to any specific dietary needs. The bar staff are so welcoming and treat everyone with the utmost respect, NaN, Mint, Ivy and Pear are all worth their weight in gold. They truly make every visit a pleasure.

Lost all my monies

The girls at the pokies are super helpful & they will look after you, when trying to get the jackpot! LoL, have fun world, C😎

Great pub/Motel opposite Flemington market if you want to wind down after a nite out on Saturday/Sunday. Opens at 6 am. The service was excellent in the gaming room as well as the TAB area. (Very attentive bar staff) Although I haven't tried their food in the bistro nor stayed in their motel rooms. The other 2 areas of the establishment mentioned above delivered a very welcoming service on my first visit.
