Love staying at Metropol for multiple reasons but I needed to leave a review for the exceptional service provided to us by Jianing at check in today! What an absolute gem! 10 out of 10 service!!!

This is a fantastic hotel; I loved how it is interconnected to the Crown Hotel complex. Plenty of food and bars options available. Excellent location.

Great place to stay, so close to everything. Really enjoyed my stay here. Perfect 👍

I was not impressed, for a 5 star hotel, I got less that a 3 star service, No Housekeeping so had to use Dirty Towels, and no bed made up, the ice machine did not work, and there was rubish left by the lifts that was there all weekend, disgusting!

My partner and I frequently travel to Melbourne from Brisbane for work and often extend our trips into long weekends. This time, we decided to break away from our usual franchise stay, and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by an enthusiastic and friendly gentleman who set the tone for our stay. We had initially booked the Ultra King Suite, but were offered an upgrade to the Loft for a slightly higher price. WOW. We were absolutely blown away by this room! It was immaculate, well-stocked with amenities, and the mini-bar had a great selection. The highlight of our room, without a doubt, was the bathroom and the incredible view from the main living areas. The pool area within the Metropol was another standout. We enjoyed the adults-only time after 8 pm, and the bathrooms by the pool offered private plunge pools and saunas— luxury! Location-wise, you can’t get more convenient. There are clearly marked paths leading to the casino and a wide variety of restaurants and shopping. It’s safe to say that the Crown Metropol is now our new favourite spot for our Melbourne stays! Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to experience a bit of luxury in the heart of Southbank.

Back to 5 star from a long time customer 10 years + now Thank you for listening to your paying regulars about the pool being adults only again and also for making every stay special for me

Access to all areas of CBD

Always a nice stay, service is fantastic but room and amenities game need to be lifted for sure. For the price per night you would at least expect to have modern updated rooms or even a complimentary bottle of water, especially when youre paying the same if not less to stay at somewhere like the W. Also, room service pricing is beyond a joke, $7 for a Pepsi is not ok. Again, eervice is always top notch from anyone in the complex.

Always look forward to staying at this luxurious hotel , staff are always so lovely ,attentive and welcoming with a very professional manner , me and my partner attended this weekend we approached a lady behind the desk as we checked in who was just lovely and even put us on one of the Highest levels , room was immaculate ,clean and beautiful view . Buffet breakfast is a must so delicious too 🤩wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Melbourne !!!!!

Pretty good. Good sized king room.

Highly recommend Crown Metropol

Swimming pool is much smaller than the picture shows and always crowded with kids. Room is aged and plain. No cosy feeling. No coffee machine Only kettle for bad cheap instant coffee Very basic ammenities The bed was not attached to bedhead

Swimming pool is much smaller than the picture shows and always crowded with kids. Charged me mini bar alcohol which I didn’t consume at all. I Rang and emailed for refund, but no response. Really disappointed. Not a pleasant 5 star hotel experience.

When we arrived to our room on our 21st wedding anniversary and we discovered mould in shower and bathroom we reported it to management and they didn’t get back to us until they rang us at dinner, so we called our dinner short at crown and then had to wait 3 hours to be moved to our next room we had to cancel meeting up with friends our night was ruined we got upgraded but big deal night was over we are so furious and when we complained management did not care to offer us any sympathy.

service staff very helpful and friendly, cleanliness, location are great.

BE WARY OF SWIMMING IN THEIR POOLS, HIGH LEVEL OF CHEMCIALS. We had a lovely stay, despite a pair of obviously bleached and ruined bathers after being in the facilities at Crown Metropol. After following correct procedure to lodge a complaint I have not had any follow through or response to my request for reimbursement.

We didn't have a great experience here. We found the mini bar empty and there was a half drank bottle. Arriving at 5.30, we wanted to use the pool, which shuts at 7. There were no gowns in our rooms and had to wait 45 minutes, after 3 calls, to receive gowns. We will definitely stay elsewhere in the future

We stayed in Metropol Melbourne many times. The hotel was good before but receptionists always were busy and not friendly. I don’t recommend to stay in this hotel because it’s overpriced, not 5 stars anymore. The problem is swimming pool. The windows at the pool are so dirty that you can’t see very well through that. No good view! Also the swimming pool is too small for many screaming kids. It’s very annoying , no adults hours. Open hours are only from 9 AM to 7 PM. I would give this hotel zero stars but we love 28 Skybar Lounge so much. This bar is still 5 stars.

Great long weekend 😌.

I stayed at the hotel last week and had an awful experience at the swimming pool. The water contained a high level of chlorine, which caused me to develop a skin rash and scalp itchiness. Additionally, the carpet in the room was poorly cleaned; it was dusty, and I noticed a lot of cobwebs under the bed and behind the bedside tables.

We came to celebrate new years here Rooms were good big hotel big pool

We stayed at Crown Metropol for two nights and had a great experience. The hotel is modern and stylish, with clean, spacious rooms and comfy beds. The city views were a nice bonus. The pool and gym were well-maintained, and the location was perfect, with plenty of dining and entertainment nearby. The staff were friendly and made everything easy. The only downside was that there were no dental kits in the room, which we had to request separately. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back!

Just had a one night quick getaway. This place is luxury and has the best location . Staff are very friendly and even though check out was busy due to events Melbourne , the waiting time was fairly minimal . Can’t wait to visit again

Great place to stay with the kids. Short distance to movies and playtime. In room dining was fantastic.

I stayed at this hotel and was quite disappointed with the lack of basic amenities. They provided only two small bottles of water for the entire stay and did not replenish them. Additionally, there were no dental kits, toiletries, or other standard items you’d expect at this level of accommodation. While I appreciate efforts to go green, there needs to be a balance between sustainability and guest comfort. Basic provisions are essential, and their absence detracts from the overall experience.

V Good- Comfy room and bed. Nice view. Mostly Friendly staff. Location great for families. Pool and spa undercover. Not so good- Hit and miss with robes and slippers in all our rooms. some had them some didn't Long queues at check in twice first when you arrive and leave luggage, then when you return to collect keys- Should be a seperate queue for those already checked in and just back to get key. Kids not allowed 7-9 am in the pool (this could be seen as good by peeps with no kids) Bad- Staff would not seat our family of 10 together at breakfast, despite there being many many empty tables. Separated us all. Nothing special at the buffet. Skip buffet brekky.

Poor customer service, Beds made and room cleaned only every 3 days. Staff laughed in my wife’s face when asking for our room to be serviced, rubbish in hallways outside rooms for over 24 hrs avoid.

The staff at this 5 star hotel do not give 5 star service. The rooms and cleaned and beds made only every 3 days. Rubbish and food trays and empty wine bottles are left outside room doors for over 24 hours before they are cleared. Avoid this hotel it’s standards are slipping way below 5 star.

Always so clean and neat before I enter the room. Staff were fantastic and customer service was awesome. Met my needs and accommodated my stay whilst watching the AO.

Prestige accommodation in prime position

The rooms are pretty good. Very clean and staff were very helpful. Only complaint I would have is during check in. The waiting line was ridiculously long. Might be the 3pm check in peak time. I would definitely stay again as it's very close to the city and south bank. Lots to do in the cbd.

Very outdated… no usb sockets next to your bedside. The only usb socket didn’t work. The shower and toilet outdated. Orange carpet… |No bath robes had to call to get some. |Pool water not clean.|All in all out Metropol was not worth the money (promenade so much more better with better view and cheaper!) |Would not return…

Worst hotel customer service I have ever had in this hotel. I booked for my overseas guests with my own credit card left my contact and had my credit card preauthorised upon the booking. However the reception did not allow the guests to check in unless they would pay with their own card. Even after being advised that they were not meant to pay on their own card the hotel did not put any effort into contacting me directly to find out a way to solve the problem. When I called the hotel the guy who answered the phone was rude and unwilling to provide any help. Even after the whole complaints that I made to the guy the hotel has not come back to follow up at all.

Thank you so much Tyler. He was very helpful and very understanding of our requests. It really makes us want to come back. Our stay was top notch

Beautiful room, lovely reception staff, but really disappointed that the pool closes at 7pm in summer. You don’t even get to watch the sunset from their famous infinity pool. To make it worse, the staff actually kick you out at 6:55pm. We only arrived today and I wish I picked any other resort now. Every other resort pool stays open till at least 9pm. Ruined my night. Stay somewhere else next time.

Having been to this hotel many times we know what to expect . This particular visit was a little different.|When we arrived to check in , there was a huge line and it took an about 45 minutes to reach the front and check in. The staff did the best they could but obviously needed double the amount on at that time . It was the long weekend so you would think that this would have been pre empted . |We did also notice that the rooms are becoming a little tired and things like the carpet wasn’t super clean looking and the same with the bathroom . This wasn’t because it hadn’t been cleaned but because the rooms are getting older . You also bow need to phone down for amenities such as toothbrushes etc as they aren’t just in the room. |These minor things aside , we do love Metropol as it’s very family friendly, has the best pool in the city and great room service . Staff are always friendly too.

Dirty room definetly not 5 stars pool shuts to early water leaking into the room through light fitting and then the maintenance man comes back at 7am next morning and says leave its dangerous, had to wait for someone to check out and room to be cleaned so we lost hours in the day and had to pack everything up and move so annoying. Swipe key didn't work mould in shower and dirt doona . Really have let this place go ,no staff anywhere to ask anything and room cleaned every 3rd day ridiculous for 5stars

Had a wonderful meal at Rockpool restaurant. Best service all round.

자동커튼 거리감있지만 씨티+오션뷰 부대시설 최고네요 전에 딸이 크라운에 근무한적 있어서 친숙한 곳입니다. 객실이 크고 쾌적합니다

Sisters weekend away|Room was well equipped, although bathrobes not supplied |Good views of the city and bay|Decor ok |Bathroom supplies nice touch |Infinity pool a hit along with spa, adult only times - windows inside pool needed cleaning , views not as clear |Beds very comfortable with ipad for in-house dining, room temp etc |Staff friendly and welcoming , able to check in earlier |Rooftop bar , although didn't try it out |Close to Southbank |Would recommend

1. You don't have any powerpoints near the bed for guests to plug in a charger for their devices. Yes, there are USB points on the in-room charging tablet but they were broken and are slow to charge. 2. Speaking of the in-room tablet: This is a danger and all units should be inspected immediately. The one we had in our room had a bulging battery to the point where the screen was coming off the body of the tablet. We alerted the maintenance staff that came through to check our aircon, who said housekeeping would take care of the tablet. No one came to check on it afterwards. 3. If you're trying to do technology in the rooms properly, how about putting in a smart TV where guests can mirror their device? There are motels in country Victoria that are offering these in their rooms. Why can't you? I understand, it will take away from part of your revenue stream where guests have to pay $50 to rent a movie from your TV. But make up your mind. You're a hotel in the real world. You're not Minecraft trying to increase your revenue with micro-transactions. 4. And this also explains why there is no complimentary water in the rooms. You can't even order a jug of ice tap water from room service. Seriously? A five star hotel... Stiffing its customers... For water? It makes you wonder what else they skimp out on. Changing the bedding? Cleaning the carpet? Washing the towels? Don't get me wrong. Overall, it was still a nice stay. Good views, nice pool, location that can't be beat. But if you're paying a five-star price, you expect a five-star hotel experience. Unfortunately, this wasn't. 3.5 stars.

We just got back from a great mini staycation at Crown Metropol with the kids during the holidays, and it was such a fantastic experience! I travel a lot for work and stay in plenty of hotels, but the customer service here really stood out. The staff were super friendly and always went out of their way to help, especially when it came to making sure the kids were happy. Check-in was really easy and hassle-free. It does get a bit busy at peak times, but we planned around that, and it was no problem. The pool was a big hit with the kids! I loved that they had a lifeguard on duty—it’s not something you see at many hotels. We found the best time to go was mid-morning to early afternoon when it was quieter. The food was also a highlight. The restaurants in the hotel and around the Crown complex were all fantastic, and they were great about accommodating food allergies, which made things so much easier for us. All in all, it was a fantastic stay, and we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend it for a fun and relaxing family getaway!

Four days with three rooms over Xmas 2024 Check in/out lines were terrible.Upsold a “better” room which turned out to be dusty dirty with mould on bathroom fan.The curtains and track were broken requiring some time to be able to be closed, there was no IPad docking station or simply having only one teabag. The room itself particularly the carpet was threadbare and unclean.Much of the room furniture was coated in dust.|If cleaning is only at three days then surely several towels not one each should be left.|It was necessary to find cleaners and obtain soaps towels tea bags for all three booked rooms.|Another of the rooms we booked had similar issues and no soap or pump refill in shower.|Calling the concierge fell on deaf ears with no docking station for the entirety of our stay,if you want people to purchase room service or other items the device needs to work.|Speaking with floor Manger on departure the upgrade room fee was refunded and there was a promise of an upgrade should we return. There was dismay we had been given such poor rooms but certainly no surprise as to the levels of cleanliness and poor service we had experienced.|This hotel is tired and dirty Management need to revise their cleaning maintenance and front counter staffing policies we will be staying elsewhere when we travel to Melbourne.

I'm quiet disappointed at my last stay here as robes and slippers are no longer provided. You have to call housekeeping to bring it to you. As a crown hotel I feel like this place has downgraded.

1st time staying at Metropol and was very impressed. Will stay again!

Awesome place to stay, ideal location close to alot of attractions and food areas. Super clean, comfy bed and being high up was so quiet for a good night's sleep. Would definitely stay here again

Always had a great time- been coming for years. Arrived with my parents - they were left in their room for 2 hours calling downstairs with keys which didn’t work. Fixed that and then next day realised the rooms don’t get cleaned anymore. Called for our room to be serviced twice- they came and made only one bed, no dirty coffee mugs taken or anything cleaned , dirty wine glasses in our room on arrival. No shampoo or conditioner on arrival either, they don’t even service your room so we had none for the whole time with 4 of us. Pool closed so early now the kids couldn’t swim after dinner. Dirty earring found in our room. No fresh towels and dirty nappies down our hallways for hours. No room service menu, phone doesn’t work. Terrible for a nice hotel- never again

Stayed 1 night with family recently. Previously stayed a few years ago. Arrival - valet understaffed with line waiting for service. Check in another line waiting again, although we could check in early which was appreciated. Room - clean but basic. Dated room, even air-conditioning control is old school. Amenities lacking. No luxe factor. No coffee machine in room, only coffee bags. Bathroom only attached showerhead on wall. No kids amenities. Pool - overcrowded and only opens 9am to 7pm. Location - great and convenient. Lots of nice restaurants around. Service - limited in general. Staff at pool was friendly and helpful when we were there. Seems to have deteriorated. 3 stars at best.

Stayed in the luxe room on Christmas Day., the shower felt like I was at an army barrack and far too average for that price point . Charged for alcohol from the mini bar when we do not drink nor touched anything from the bar. They need to do a lot better. And based off my experience on that day I would not recommend to anybody. Rooms need upgrading.

Hi there, Today, we arrived at your reception at 1:30 PM to pick up the baggage left by our friend. Unfortunately, your staff was extremely busy and unable to assist us until 3:30 PM. After receiving my ticket at 3:30 PM, I still had to wait an additional hour to collect the baggage, which is truly unacceptable. It appears there is no regard for the customer or their time. It is quite disappointing to see a five-star hotel exhibit such negligence in customer service. We fail to understand why a task that should take only five minutes ended up taking two hours. Staffing issues should not impact the customer experience and should be managed internally. Overall, we are very dissatisfied with the service. Thank you for your attention.

Absolutely bad service. Poor quality. It took more than 2 hours hours for us to get an extra blanket. Towels had holes in them. Room was not cleaned ... only bed was made. Used coffee mugs remained in the room unwashed. Pillows had stains. The toiletries and towels were not replaced although we had the clean room switch on. They don't even give u a bottle of water for the room. Will definitely not recommend or use Crown again. Not worth it. Actually customer our holiday short. Definitely not 5 star in my opinion.

This was an utter disappointment. I have been coming every christmas for 4 years now. It became a family tradition to stay at Crown Metropol over Christmas and New Years, but this year that tradition ended. They have stripped the accommodation package of everything extra that made it worth being here. They do not do house keeping for your room by default anymore; it takes 3 days to get your bed made; the pool hours have been reduced; there is no adult time for the pool; the pool closing hours don't allow us to watch the sunset as it previously did. On top of that the wait time at arrival was in excess of 1.5 hours, absolutely rediculous. Parking is no longer complimentary or included in the package. They then try to upsell to you to pay $84 per day for parking. It took 3.5 hours for house keeping to equip our room as it should've been when we arrived. It seriously felt like we were just another transaction for the hotel this year, where as previously it felt like the Metropol was our christmas home. It has become an absolute joke now and I am pretty sure we won't be coming back. I can't recommend this hotel for anyone as a result of the hotels poor management decisions. It is not worth the wait, the money or the effort to stay here.

Can’t check in till 3 pm and pool closes at 7 so that leaves you with only 4 hours the first day then the following day it doesn’t open till 9 and check out is 11!

Very disappointed in the change with Crown Metropol. Check in was a ridiculous line up of about 20 people waiting to be served. No bathroom bodywash, shampoo and conditioner. Unless ur happy with bottles on the wall that get refilled (my bodywash hadn't been refilled) Dirty shower tile grout. No bathrobes and slippers. Had to pay extra for coffee at my complimentary buffet breakfast. Only tea is paid with breakfast. Still happy with the bed comfort. But didn't feel special, like staying previously three years ago. I also had to wait a good 15 minutes for my car at valet when checking out.

Excellent place to stay Our room view looked over the city and was awesome The room was clean, and there was also an ipad in our room that we could use The bathroom was lovely The whole room was fantastic The infinity pool was awesome Has a small gym on the same floor as the indoor infinity pool The female bathroom has a steamroom, spa & sauna that is private to the females bathroom, absolutely awesome it was Breakfast down stairs was delicious and buffet style, dam delicious it was! The whole experience was fantastic My partner would like to go again but stay for 2 nights Thank you to Crown Metropol for an awesome time

8 nights stay along with my partner and 2x staff and we’ve had to repeatedly ask to get our room cleaned because of their 3 day cleaning policy. Repeatedly asked to refill our teas/ coffee and sugar- basics of a 3star hotel that they’ve struggled to achieve. Cups and glasses are rinsed in the room- not collected to be washed properly and replaced with cleaned ones. Walking down the corridor we’ve observed crumbs and sharp wastes on the floor for a week- obviously not vacuumed the floor . Trays would sit on the floor 24-48 hrs before it’s collected. Not worth paying for this so called 5 star hotel which in my opinion only delivers a 3 star service. It’s filthy, out dated with terrible management. Will never book here again.

First class hotel. Say no more! Well appointed. Luxurious. Very attentive staff. I highly recommend. Breakfast buffet is huge. So many options. Filter coffee and tea inc in $50 cost. Barista coffee charged extra.

We had a lovely room with a view of Melbourne. King size bed, large shower, separate toilet. Well stocked mini bar along with kettle, iron and ironing board. Plenty of handing space. Couch to watch tv and a desk to do some business. Good selection for room service. I appreciated that Crown Metropol are reducing their carbon foot print by not servicing the rooms every day if staying for a while. Although towels and hygiene products can be requested when needed.

Bizarrely management made a bad decision that you can’t order room service past 11pm. Room service crown style with our teaspoon.

Always happy with our stays here, 5 stars every time. Will always be back. Rooms always clean, always a nice view & friendly staff. Thanks.

Not in

Terrible service especially from bell team. Do better crown

Amazing as always We always stay at crown metropol as it's close to everything and has everything we need in a close proximity and is just a short walk to southern cross station to get bus to airport.. Looking forward to next trip
