Great customer service and loving the 4dx

My partner and I went to our first ever Gold Class session with this Village Cinemas on valentines day. While the night started well and the staff were super nice, unfortunately, the start was the best part of the experience. Our first food item was supposed to be brought out towards the start of the movie, and we didn't receive it until almost the middle. Then the food that we ordered for the middle of the movie never came at all, with no word from any staff member as to where our dinner that we had paid for was. As we walked out of the movie, staff were waiting and expecting that we would be coming out to request a refund, which was promptly given. Overall, this experience has ruined our first and probably now only Gold Class experience. Some communication would have gone a long way to having improved our experience, which did not seem like would have come at all had I not asked what went wrong. Furthermore, it was disheartening that another couple who also required a refund were offered vouchers to attend another session for free, while that offer was not extended to us. Overall a very disappointing experience that could have been improved a lot by some communication as the staff found out that they would not be able to fulfil what I had paid for.

Always great service, friendly staff, convenient location and a wonderful 4D cinema. Seeing Moana 2 in 4D was the best experience. Cant wait to return.

I’ve only been here for the 4DX experience. For anyone who is planning to see Sonic The Hedgehog 3, 4DX is definitely the best way to experience the movie. I personally think that Sonic 3 is perfect movie for 4DX cinemas. High speed battles and effects work extremely well for the 4DX format, the fast movements of the chair, the wind, water splash and rain effects all work to create an extremely immersive experience. The crowd loved it! Plus, this is the only 4DX cinema in Melbourne. So don’t miss your chance to experience it. The cinema is still extremely clean and well maintained by the staff.

More like 4.5 stars. The only screen in Melbourne that has 4DX on offer. Paid parking available, however, if you can, there is parking near the train station which is about 5 Min of walk. Up to 3 hours of free parking available. Just like all other village cinemas, there are arcade games, and snacks available for purchase at the entrance. The Century Mall has Strike and other eateries available.

4DX IS THE BEST HERE. WE MUST SUPPORT THIS 4DX, SO ALL CINEMA MUST IMPROVE TO 4D IN MELBOURNE. TRY 4DX YOUR STANDARD WILL BE HIGHER IN CINEMA.

Possibly the worst service I have ever received at a business ever!!!!!!! Me and my girlfriend had just watch the movie gladiator 2 mind you the movie was great however some of the staff and managers were so rude when we asked about an issue with our payment. We used one of the machines to buy our tickets and and the money was taken out of our account yet we hadn’t got our tickets then we asked the manager who took her time to deal with our issue and she stated that this has happened before. WHY NOT FIX YOUR BROKEN MACHINE THEN. She said we would receive the money back in one to two business days, it has now been 9 DAYS since that altercation

Decent place to catch a movie. Could improve on cleanliness and service. $6 for a 300ml water bottle ? Whatsup with that ? .

Watched twisters in 4d a while ago although the water jets at the back wasn't working and the lights showing Wether the water was on or off were broken on most of the seats so you couldnt see if water was on

It's always my best cinema to go because it shows Korean Popular movie as well when it comes out. Best ever. It's not crowded like others cinema very cosy and comfy !

On behalf of both my friend Kate and myself as well as all the other friends who attended movies there with me, we all want to acknowledge and thank EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE of Century Village Cinemas (which opened all the way back in 1998) for 26 years of top notch service both at the concession stand and cinema theatre as well as an always comfortable top notch viewing experience for every movie I have ever watched there (by myself, with Kate and many, many other friends over these last 26 years) all the way back to me watching my first ever movie at Century City Walk Village Cinemas, Small Soldiers all the way back in 1998. You ALL deserve to be very highly commended! Kate and I can't recommend Century City Walk Village Cinemas highly enough to all movie lovers. I am so sorry to take 26 years - since my seeing Small Soldiers there in 1998 - to give a Google review (or whatever avenue of reviewing a cinema that was available before Google reviews existed). Century City Walk Village Cinemas is truly amazing!

Excellent cinema and great snacks too. We love the sound and pic quality and so close to the Glen too. Highly recommend

They don’t have car park and will end up with paying fines

4DX So overrated! Bloody seats move to much. Feels like your on a boat. Felt a little see sick. Stupid experience. I highly dont recommend 4DX SUCKS !!! MAKING A COMPLAINT!

Overpriced and overpriced.

Small screen, expensive and the seats are shockingly uncomfortable. All the sounds come from the front and not the side speakers like normal. Basically just watching a big TV with a sound bar. Not the cinema experience you are looking for.

Excellent experience. Worth the money. Worst thing is finding the cinema and parking! Nobody picks up the phone. You cannot ask Village cinema for help. Automated phone system is a failure. Watched Twisters with the family and enjoyed the experience. Option to switch off water spray. No pics but usual cinema look. 4 seats space 4 seats and space.

The worst online booking I’ve ever experienced … u can’t book without a phone number and they won’t accept the format of an international number as well there are no real help lines to speak with anyone to resolve or additional Options to book without a phone number attached. I’ve even tried using a local Australian friend number which as well didn’t work. If booking with this establishment comes down to a phone number this is ridiculous and third world business to say the least. Needless to say I won’t be entertaining this company ever! Avoid if you’re traveling abroad, it’s not made for anyone outside the country…

Great cinema no staff people can just walk in to a theatre without paying for a ticket you can’t buy food because no ones there

So run down now, old small non reclining fabric seats. Trash/popcorn everywhere, no staff scanning tickets so anyone and everyone just walks in and out of the cinema.

Better to watch in tv’s instead of coming here

SHAMEFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES SELLING DAMAGED SEATS THAT STAFF KNOW ABOUT! Went to see a movie in cinema 5 seat E10, the chair backing gave way half way through the movie causing me to fall back onto the people behind me. Thankfully nobody was hurt, however when I told the staff member who was standing by the ticket scanning station he knew exactly which seat was damaged meaning that they are selling a dangerous seat to everyone without fixing or blocking off the seat until it has been repaired. The staff member never asked any questions if anyone was hurt and could not care less.

I have a love/hate relationship with this theatre. On the other hand they're probably one of the only theatres near me that shows Asian and anime films. But on the other hand it seems like most of the audiences that come here are completely rude a-holes. In one screening I had one lady behind me shouting at the top of her lungs constantly throughout the film. Then in another screening, I had a couple who constantly talked right next to me that wouldn't shut the hell up. Then in my last screening I had a dude right next to me who would literally pull out his phone every 2 min with a glaringly bright screen that obviously annoyed the hell out of me. Seems like every time I see a movie at this cinema there are an abundance of rude a-hole viewers.

Drab atmosphere.

Possibly the worst gold glass experience I've ever been to, I'm sure the regular cinemas are fine. But the Gold Class experience is sub par at Century City... save your money, go to another location..

Been coming here for 30 years and just saw Dune 2 twice, love how big the cinema are (standard) and it's usually not crowded so can have pick of the seats, always clean and surrounding areas have a nice vibe and food and hotel nearby.

Village cinemas is great however century City walk is looking dead after many restaurants inside Century City have disappeared (Airstream, Pancake parlour, Korean BBQ and others)

Please upgrade your seats ! It really affects the enjoyments . The old style seats are bad but your ticket price is not cheap which isn’t worth . Also it’s time for the renovation. Please look at HOYTS or Reading cinemas ‘s seats which are reclinable and are much more comfortable than yours . Even the location is great , I won’t choose this cinema as my first choice .

We had a delightful Christmas holiday weekend getaway with fewer crowds. One highlight was experiencing Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in 4Dx, where you could feel the actions and water splashing during underwater scenes. The combination of motion, water, and action provided a uniquely immersive movie experience complemented by comfortable seating. I suggest avoiding food and drinks during a 4Dx show. Being Vrewards members, we benefited from reasonable ticket prices and an additional discount. The venue offered ample free outdoor parking, and the crowd was pleasantly decent.

Went a saw Wonka for the second time but in 4DX this time! I am giving my experience one less star not necessarily because if the venue itself....it's ALWAYS the talkative patrons that ruin it AND the ones that still manage to kick your chair....even in 4DX....or those that do not sit in their allocated seats and block your view! There is NO cinema etiquette anymore!

Worst village ever been in the Melbourne. Never ever will ever come to this place. All the parking in the area is for 90 mins while movies go for 2 hours. Spent 20 mins looking for parking, asked village staff and they took their hands off. It's the village cinema's responsibility to provide decent parking. Not suggesting somewhere 800mts far in rainy weather

Saw a movie in Screen 7 • The seats had popcorn & fries from the previous shows. • The sound quality was poor. It reduced the effect overall. • The screen transitions caused an uncomfortable effect to the eyes which was experienced by others in my group too. At first I thought it was my eyes and I need to had those tested. But upon hearing from others, I concluded it was the screen. • The screen had few persistent bright dots on the right hand side area between middle and top screen. Annoying distraction.
