The worst customer service. Without any notification any where , they denied product replacement by saying that the policy has been changed.

Really disappointed in the sloppiness of stock that seemed to be 'thrown' about throughout the ladies section when I was there yesterday. Come on Kmart, get yourself together. This really is not acceptable 😒 Clothing was rolled or stuffed on random shelves or on the floor. So many items not clearly priced. Not a happy experience at all

The store is a mess, there are products on the floor to where you can just get a trolly through. Plastic tubs never have lids. The store needs a very good clean. For a fairly new store its a disgrace. The ladies underwear area is a nightmere. Looking at all the other reviews for the past couple of months you have 1 positive review, as a store manager i would be disgusted. You have barely any staff on and when you do, they are hard to find or to busy chit chatting. Some of the staff are not helpful at all. Yamanto is 2 mins down the road from me i would rather go to riverlink then to yamanto and thats saying alot

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration after my experience at Kmart Yamanto today while supporting a participant with a disability. As a professional working in the disability sector, it is essential for businesses to accommodate individuals with specific needs, ensuring they feel respected and understood. Unfortunately, this was not the case today. My participant has a number of challenges related to his disability, including significant discomfort with self-serve checkouts due to the cameras. This has been communicated to Kmart employees in the past, and for some time, we have been using the back counter (where lay-bys and click-and-collect orders are processed) to make purchases in a way that allows my participant some degree of normality without having to repeatedly explain his situation to every employee. However, today, after waiting for 10 minutes at the back counter, we were informed that the staff member could not serve us because the store was busy. This was despite the fact that there were no customers lined up behind us. When I explained that my participant cannot use self-serve checkouts and that this was the process we had always followed, the staff member was dismissive and insensitive. She bluntly told us to go to the front checkout, further increasing my participant's anxiety. To make matters worse, my participant, who experiences extreme paranoia, became visibly distressed and refused to complete the purchase. He feared that the items would be tampered with, and, understandably, wanted to leave and try a different store. It is heartbreaking that someone with his challenges felt forced to disclose his personal information again, only to be met with such a lack of empathy and understanding. This experience was a stark reminder of how important it is for businesses to treat all customers with dignity and respect. People with disabilities, like my participant, already face many challenges in daily life, and the last thing they should encounter in a store is insensitivity and a lack of support. Kmart, you have failed to meet the basic standard of inclusivity and customer care that one would expect from a well-known retailer. Shame on you for making an already difficult experience even harder. I sincerely hope Kmart takes this feedback seriously and implements proper training for all staff on how to handle customers with disabilities. Everyone deserves to feel welcomed and respected, regardless of their circumstances.

Hands down the worst kmart I’ve been in. As a retail employee, seeing easily more than 10 kmart STOCK BOXES shoved on the ground under bays shows that this is an employee not caring situation instead of the customers.

Staff was very rude while exchange clothes in service desk

I was trying to exchange a couple of tables tonight as I had just purchased I them and had a change of mind when I got to the car so I went back to the store and asked to exchange the tables for a different colour. This was five mins before they shut but I figured they could still do it since they were still open. Well I was rudely scolded by a young guy who worked there “you’re too late for the customer service centre! Next time come earlier!” Um excuse me?!?! I’m contributing to your wages so a little respect would be appreciated! The customer service at t Yamanto Kmart is absolutely disgusting! I literally waited at the self checkouts for ten mins waiting for a worker to scan their card through as the machine was beeping but they just kept walking past and ignoring me!

This store was disgusting to say the least. There was crap everywhere across the floors, and not a single staff member trying to clean it up.

I love Kmart but the last 2 times I've been here the customer service is terrible. I was looking for a stocked item according to the website,got told just to go have a look with no team member assistance. I've worked in retail for 30 years and I'm always polite to team members as I know what it's like to be in retail and how team members get treated but slowly not enjoying going to the local Kmart.

I spend over $500 every month in Kmart Yamanto , and I have not ever had one good experience with this store since it has opened. I'm not a complainer and have only written one other bad review in my life, so for me to take the time out to comment on a company then something is wrong. I am in customer service too, and have been all my life for over 30 years now. If one of my staff ever treated a customer like yours do I would fire them on the spot. I refuse to work a 14hr day, do some shopping and still have to continue to work scan my own items, and pack them while your staff are standing around either talking to another staff member or just standing there. I work hard for my money and so do my staff. To be told that the self serve checkouts are there for us to use and refuse to put my trolly of over 35 item through is disgusting. Mean while every few item the girl had to stand there scanning her card and putting a code in as your machine constantly hold us up. It would have taken half the time and a happy customer rather than someone who has already worked her 14 hr day plus 2 hrs travel and then had to work for free while someone standing there watching is paid for the job I just did and took me 20min due to your machines malfunctions. To top it off then someone at the door stopping you from walking out to check to see if you have stolen anything . I will be taking my business to elsewhere, at least other companies still have someone who is still willing to make sure their customers walk out happy

Worst customer service, they shouldn't work in customer service they have no skills at all, no explaining, rude young and older staff.

Kmart yomato is absolutely bigger better more stock then Kmart river link centre and the one at redbank plaza.sorry but Kmart yamanto has amazing stuff and more kids clothes and shoes and everything else love going to Kmart yamanto and it is not so busy or overwhelming response my anxiety or depression or stress levels don't go all over the place I don't get sweaty palms or anxious and just want to walk out of Kmart I found it quite amazing fantastic Kmart yamanto.thank you Kmart yamanto workers yous do absolutely fantastic job.❤️🥰😄😀

Many times, probably 3 or 4 times, I have place a click and collect order. A day passes and the order is refunded stating they don’t have the items. That’s ridiculous and annoying. The fact that it happens so often is really frustrating, I can’t trust this store to actually do click and collect anymore, I wouldn’t recommend using the service. As for going to the actual store, that stock is pretty bad, I’m always seeing something online that is stated to be well stocked, I will go in store and it’s not there. And don’t even bother asking the staff, they truly don’t want to help you and will make that know to you if you happen to ask. The store and the products are very dirty, I have brushed past items in the store and had my clothes marked with dirty smudges. I have taken to wiping products off with a wipe before I take them in my house….I would recommend this to all with what I’ve seen come off products from the store. I can remember the last time I went to the store and they didn’t have trolleys available, I’m taking 8am first thing and there are no trolleys. This happens often. Its really annoying if you are there for a larger item, I’ve had to just walk out several times because there isn’t a trolley to use for the large item I intended to buy. Compared to other Kmarts in other places, this one is incredibly low quality, low stock, low customer service and customer facilities. It’s dirty and inconsistent, they get away with it because it’s the only department store in the area.

I spent almost $300 ONLY WEDNESDAY in YAMANTO store - bought two doona cover sets and more.. Today when I took out the “D” doona cover to set beside the doona on my daughters bed for sizing, I realised it was the wrong size. I’m too unko to repack as beautiful as it comes so I did my best to fit it back in and kept all packaging with it.. Now to return… NOPE 👎 To Kmart YAMANTO : I’M NOT A LIAR and I left the $40 purchase on the returns counter without a refund as a gift coz I CAN’T USE IT at my house - But I’M CERTAIN YOU WILL RESELL AT A SALE PRICE as you will see it is still brand new with the creases in it, not washed or used and smells brand new - COZ IT IS!!!!! BASICALLY YOU JUST MADE $40 plus from me!!! Not to mention the extra $45 I had to spend on the correct size! Thank you for listening to me, thank you for your judgement, thank you for your character assumption. I worked retail for 20 years and this IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Believe me, I work with the worst of liars,law breakers, I didn’t do it’s and it wasn’t me, and I’M NOT ONE OF THEM!

Love this place but customer service by phone is as bad as centrelink etc waited and waiting so long know xmas but still need people making phones

They don't answer the phones so you can make enquiries on something

Click and Collect section is a very long wait One person behind the counter serving and answering phone calls. Need to put another person there

My absolute favorite place to go shopping & I do at least once a week. Love it so much & everything is affordable.

Click and collect Ensure item is instock before purchase. Not once has kmart yamanto been able to fill an order.. The latest is 2 washing baskets and 1 dog bed... thought they could fill a 3 item request... but no they can not. Items are still marked as green for stock supply. Ordered 12 on Sunday, public holiday Monday... no notification until 930 Tuesday. Do you need more staff staff or what?

Your fitting room is an absolute joke! It's a broom cupboard. Its a single store room for the broom along with barrier partitions, storage boxes and no mirror or cloths hooks.

Went to Yamanto Kmart for the first time today. Like the layout of the store and will return. The highlight was when I was helped by a lovely employee named Mikayla. She was so helpful, kind and patient and did it all with a beautiful smile. Thank you so very much Mikayla, you made it a very happy experience today.

Great layout, helpful staff, and an abundance of products for all customers. However, they moved the $2 hotwheels from the isle to a box near the checkout. I was frantic and at complete loss until I eventually found them. My broken heart was refilled with joy and my shattered world was mended. Aside from this, everyone I've been served by has been polite cordial. An absolute shopping extravaganza for all to behold!

Ordered a lottt of fragile home decor online. Ash packed my order and it was packed to perfection!! Surprisingly nothing was damaged or broken! She even wrote a little note, which was so kind

I’d like to acknowledge Bryon K for his outstanding service, going the extra yard to make sure I could find replacement filters for my cat fountain at another Kmart store, which unfortunately Kmart Yamanto did not have stock of. I first spoke to Kmart at Redbank Plaza, who after some confusion looking for stock and failing to find any, told me to call Kmart Yamanto telling me they had 1 cat filter in stock. Upon calling Kmart Yamanto Bryon K also searched for stock without success. When I asked if other stores in the area had stock, he told me Redbank Plaza Kmart had 6 cat filters in stock. I explained to him I had already called them, but they had seemed rather confused and uninterested is actually finding any stock for me. Without hesitation, Bryon K took control of the situation, said he would call Kmart Redbank Plains to do his best to assist me. After a short wait on hold, Bryon K came back to our call, explained that he’d navigated through the confusion at Redbank Plaza and had secured 4 cat filters for me and had them set aside at the service desk for me to pick up, which I did. I congratulate you Bryon K for having pride in yourself and your work, and respect for me as a customer, to get to the bottom of an issue at another store, to help me secure my order. My cat thanks you as well! You are a standard bearer for what good service is and your employer, Kmart, is lucky to have you. To Kmart Yamanto your employer, I urge them to reward you with rapid advancement through their ranks, should you wish to take that path, as I shop at Kmart weekly and without doubt you have provided me with the best service I have experienced at any Kmart store, in my long time shopping there as a loyal customer. Well done Bryon K, outstanding and upstanding work!

Great new shopping centre

Absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service from Natalie at the self serve registers. Not only did we receive the worst service imaginable, but the attitude was just disgraceful. I then tried to discuss with Ron who stated he was a manager and he seemed completely uninterested in addressing the issue with the staff. Long story short, I was more than displeased & let Ron know this prior to leaving.

Staff were lovely, even carried my stuff to the car for me.

This has got to be the cleanest,best organised Kmart store I've ever been in. Usually i find Kmart stores to be grotty but this was sparkling. I shopped in comfort. I didn't see staff so took one star off for that even. Though my experience was good. There were no staff on check out, everything was self service. But at least i didn't have the usual issues on self service check out and got out without a hitch.

Found an interesting pair of size 6 cord pants in the fitting room. No attendant there. Had to go out wearing them to find an 8 in case it was a better fit. Looked everywhere for a floor assistant. None. Finally asked checkout lady (one only) who looked the item up. 'We only have one pair', presumably the pair I had on. Changed back into my own clothes and paid for them. Leaving the store I see a rail of 6 different sizes. Return to fitting room. Establish that the 6 was best after all. Exhausted with changing I leave the store wearing the 6. Very poor service.

This place is terrible! Had so much stock but all the staff were horrible! I had paid and ordered 245 photos and only 86 of them came out NOT BLURRY and I also got 6 blank photos with nothing on them. In total it cost me $56. I went back to the girl named TARA and her and her manager refused to give me a refund for only the photos that were BLURRY. They said it was my fault as I clicked on the photos with a EXCLAMATION MARK on them. There was nothing on the screen saying that you shouldn't print the photos with the EXCLAMATION MARK on them. She al she also stood behind me while I selected photos and didn't say anything to me about the photos I shouldn't print because they won't come out right. I then asked for the store manager and she came out with a male who was standing there for no reason at all. She also refused me a refund and said that she was going to go through training with Tara again this store manager" was literlly 22 and didn't have no remorse about the fact I was just hipped for my money. I will be taking further actions."
