الأكل والستف والأجواء كل شي رهيب😍
Food was average, portion was little
Food was well prepared and the pasta was aldente. I would have preferred more than two prawns and fish for the price you are paying.
Best Calzone, had it 2 nights in a row
I was really looking forward to dining here again, especially craving the lobster pasta, which I have had many times before. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was disappointed to find that it had been taken off the menu. I opted for the seafood pasta instead, but it was far from satisfying—the pasta itself was quite thick, and the seafood portion was surprisingly sparse. My dish contained just one piece of fish and two prawns amongst the mussels, which felt quite underwhelming for a seafood dish. On a brighter note, the pizza was great, which somewhat redeemed the night. However, another letdown was that the outdoor seating area was not in operation, despite it being a beautiful, warm day in Melbourne. It seemed like a missed opportunity for a more enjoyable dining atmosphere. Overall, while the pizza was great, the pasta was disappointing, and I left feeling a bit let down. I would strongly encourage management to reconsider a few aspects of the menu and service to ensure a more well-rounded experience for future guests.
This isn’t about the food. I found the gentleman at the front quite unwelcoming. I approached the counter and asked for a table for four. I was immediately told that I couldn’t enter with my pram (that it needed to be left at the front). I understand this is due to it being a potential obstruction to service. In any case, it would have been nice to have been respectfully informed about such conditions/policies, rather than the cold hospitality - i immediately felt this wasn’t the place for me. It felt like an airport screening process. This wasn’t my first time dining with my children, and usually the front of house are super accommodating - but that was not to be today albeit on my child’s birthday. We ended up heading to Atlantic, and the experience there was completely different, immediately - even with the pram and kids in tow! Please do better with mums and bubs in the future!
Very average. Food was boring and bland, prices were very high, service was poor and slow (disinterested waitresses). Much better Italian food elsewhere in Melbourne! They also buy fake positive Google reviews to boost their score - the recent 5 star reviews posted are all the same and clearly fake!!!
The food at Gradi is delicious, beautiful and authentic Italian. Linda’s service was impeccable, she was very attentive and recommended some wonderful food.
Amazing service by Linda & beautiful food
An amazing night 🤩 The venue and the atmosphere was awesome and many thanks to Linda she’s been so nice and professional with us. We’ll go back for sure ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
5 stars for Linda’s service Thank you for the experience
I had the best experience at Gradi Linda who served our table has been the nicest, thank you for the experience!
Used to like the food here but when we went last week, food was very disappointing ☹️
I love this restaurant so much, it very delicious. Linda gives my family a nice dinner. We spent a lovely evening here!
Went to Gradi to celebrate a late Valentine’s Day dinner! My partner and I love to occasionally splurge at a fancy restaurant but however, 9 out of 10 times we are let down by the service. Gradi genuinely went above and beyond taking out every other competitor, especially with their service! Stella served my partner and I and when I say she was an amazing she genuinely was. Poor girl was super busy but still every time she came to our table it was like it was only us 3 in the room. Couldn’t ask for more! Food 10/10 Stella 100000/10 Thank you Gradi!
Awesome evening spent at Gradi for a family birthday dinner. Service was 1st glass from Tony the manager & Lynda our waitress from Italy who made sure that our every need was catered for. Ambiance of the restaurant was great and could not fault the food so much to choose as we worked our way through the menu all food was fresh & full of flavour. Highly recommend anyone looking for an excellent restaurant with amazing food & service when visiting Crown
We visited Gradi at Crown as a group of three, drawn in by the crowded atmosphere, which seemed promising and set our expectations high — it felt like a popular spot. Alas, the experience did not live up to that impression. The pizza my friend ordered was decent but overly chewy, making it less enjoyable than expected. However, the Tagliolini alla Pescatora, which I ordered, was outright terrible. The noodles were clumped together into a half-cooked, doughy mass, and the seafood was disappointing — crushed shells mixed into the dish, forcing me to pick them out with every bite. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. The cutlery was barely clean and placed directly on the table without a napkin underneath. The tables themselves weren’t properly wiped down—we actually had to clean ours ourselves. When dining at a restaurant, even an average one, you at least expect basic sanitary standards to be met, but that was clearly not the case here. Overall, a deeply disappointing experience on so many levels.
The food is excellent. We eat or use to eat here a few times a month. The atmosphere is beautiful. But today Valentine’s Day came in for dinner at 9:30pm. Plenty of tables empty and the manager told us that we are no longer taking bookings. The restaurant closes at 11pm Why is it you can’t take anymore bookings or walk in’s ? Pretty pooor if you ask me. You lost our business we went next door to cervo. They close at 10:30pm and accepted us straight away.
Lekker gegeten bij Gradi. We hadden niet gereserveerd dus we hadden een tafeltje buiten. Dat had ik toch liever dan binnen. We hadden een lasagne en een pizza besteld. De lasagne is een aanrader. Heel lekker.
We had a lovely evening at Gradi Crown. Waitering staff amazing, special mention to Chaira, very friendly and accomodating to my Family’s meal here. Would love to dine here again. Highly recommend
This is one of the better pizza places in Melbourne, however get ready to pay for them as they are above average prices too. Unfortunately our order was forgotten, and no one came and checked in on us to see how we were going. Ended up waiting an hour before the problem was found and fixed, and had to ask to have any kind of solution fixed. Overall the wait staff were kind and the food was good, but the service wasn't amazing.
Soggy pizza , Beloved average scotch ,very chewy, Green beans not seasoning whatsoever, 4.2 on google reviews it’s very generous. Let’s mention capricciosa at 39 dollars with very limited topping Definitely last visit
Outstanding
Excellent pizzas 🍕
Very good food ,good service, friendly staff and quick service, couldn't ask for more,
My wife and I with close family had lunch at Gradi. Can I say Wow, from the food, our waiter and atmosphere we all enjoyed our experience. Now I know where all the cool people go for lunch.
We really enjoyed Italian pizza for the first time in Australia. We ordered La Bella Mortadella pizza. Taste was really good. We also ordered one side dish (can’t remember the name), that was ordinary. Overall I recommended Gradi.
Lovely Meal, (Meatballs/Capricciosa Pizza/Gnocchi Di Luigi) Great Atmosphere with impeccable service from Aurora throughout the Meal!
Food was not the best, entrees and mains came out literally within 10 minutes after we ordered which is never a good sign. I got the orechiette pasta which had 0 taste, it was pasta in oil with a touch of garlic and the pork sausage had a weird taste. Everything was dry, and we did not leave satisfied at all. Wouldn’t come back that’s for sure !
If I could I would score you 10. I did dine here with my daughter who is a fussy eater. These guys made “pepperoni “ pizza that she loved and wanted to go back there again next day to eat the same pizza. I explained my story at the front desk, and they searched for all the details about who made the pizza for us previous day, who served us, etc to make sure we receive the same pizza. That was just above and beyond customer service. Thank you for making us feel welcomed. We will come back again. Mum and daughter from Sydney❤️
Generally a go to place. Great atmosphere and enjoy the outdoor dining on a nice day. Service is generally good and prompt. Pizza is always a favorite. Pasta is generally good. On our recent dish I tried a pasta dish and was disappointed that the pasta was clumped together and stuck and over salted. Dessert is always great, tiramisu is my go to.
Loved this place ❤️
Amazing food! It is so hard to find an authentic Italian restaurant in Melbourne that is true to its origins. We’ve come across this gorgeous place after a seeing an exhibition looking for lunch. Beautiful and clean place, extremely tasty food, very nice staff and great presentation. The focaccia was perfectly seasoned, fluffy and light.. as should be! The carbonara was a dream as it was perfectly creamy, not too heavy, the right amount of cheese and topped with juicy bacon pieces .. yummm! My partner had pizza (Vesuvio) and kept raving about how delicious and perfect it was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ And oh My! The desserts were perfection! Both the Tiramisu and the Primavera.. chef’s kiss! 🧡 The only downside were the service hiccups with the drinks and the price for them. It took a while to get 2 Pepsi’s - first the lady forgot then another staff member had to come back twice to check what we ordered to drink.. it was a bit odd. It’d also be nice if we could split payments on 2 cards .. but perhaps these bits were only highlighted due to the amazing food and otherwise extremely friendly service 😊 Thank you for the lovely experience, we’ll be back! Highly recommend to try the place. 🇮🇹🍝🍕
100% good place , authentic italian food with good service. it is expensive but acceptable😏
What a gem. Amazing staff and the food was next level. Took my 13 year old in to see the difference between Domino's and actual pizza. He is converted. Just try it
The food here has gone majorly downhill over the last few years... Ordered the beef ragu gnochetti which was not edible, and the calamari which also wasn't great. The food came out 5 minutes after ordering... how is that possible when ordering a ragu pasta? It tasted like the entire dish was already prepared and was just reheated and plated up. We also ordered some bread as an entree but they brought it out with our main meals (completely defeating the point of an entree). To top that off the waiter came round to ask how our meal was, and after telling her it wasn't good she laughed in our face and said 'ha ha don't you like it?!' I will say that the waiters sorted out our bill (which we didn't really care about the money we just wanted a nice lunch)- however sometimes money doesn't fix everything. We were so put off and just wanted to leave, ruining our lunch. Avoid this restaurant at all costs, unless you want to be extremely disappointed!
Very disappointed, I went with my wife last night and after spending over 150 dollars we were rushed out by the waitress who said we need to table , my wife was half way through her dessert when they asked for the second time , I won’t be going back as I find this rather rude , food was ok but my wife makes a better lasagne than what I had, Barramundi for 45 dollars was tiny and cauliflower purée was non existent
Etwas teuer, aber gut.
Absolutely amazing! Loved the atmosphere and food was fantastic!
There were 4 of us dining at the restaurant, two of which have dietary requirements. Luckily they are only intolerances and not allergies as the restaurant, though would ‘endeavour’ to meet our needs, they won’t do much about making sure that the food would come out safe to eat for them. Good luck if you are actually allergic. I would not recommend it. I would also not recommend you trying the taster menu ($80/pax) as the way our server has explained, as it is the ‘chef’s selection’ you don’t have a say in what the chef chooses. Regardless of your dietary requirements. So you’d pay to potentially be poisoned purely because the chef may not be flexible. It’s because of this level of inflexibility that I think this restaurant does not deserve the high rating. The food was average and the drinks overpriced. There are just as good, if not better pizzas for a lot less than $40 per pizza. 2 pizzas and 2 pastas with some drinks (a margarita is $31) cost us over $300.
Great pizza. 👌🙏
The worst dining experience in Australia! The reception desk ladies were so mean and rudely told us off instead of a simple explain when we got confused, or I guess it was simply our fault for being Asians
Absolutely beautiful food and the service was amazing and so quick. The staff were so polite and had an overall amazing experience. Will definitely be back 😊
Extremely disappointed our server talked two of our guests out of what they were going to order Gradi Mornington food quality so much better three guests didn’t eat the seafood it was very tough just my opinion but disappointed
All service staff were fantastic. Our orders were taken quickly and the food was brought out not long after.
Bread was really nice. If you love raw Baramundi, this is the place for you!
Gone downhill. Went on Monday the carbonara was swimming in sauce, the pizza buffalo was soggy and the person who ate it threw up all night. $160 for a poor meal, wrote to them no response
The food was good overrated though. The pizza was good but the steak lacked flavour and the margarita was soggy. The diavola was spicy but soo yum.
The service and atmosphere were great, but the food was very bland and it felt like they used low quality ingredients. The steak was one of the worst I’ve had as it felt like there was no seasoning at all not even salt And they do not offer a sauce on the side. The steak comes with only a single lemon veg on the side, which I’m not even sure why. And the salami on the Devola pizza was very dry and hard to eat. Honestly, I would probably never recommend going there and would never be back to Grady myself. Bit of a letdown since I was actually looking forward to it and took my girlfriend there for her birthday.
A place I have visited many times but on this occasion 5 out of 7 dishes were terrible. The pasta was stuck together on all 5 dishes. Can understand if it were one but 5 out of 5 pasta dishes means there’s a problem in the kitchen. Unacceptable given they pride themselves on quality. Disappointing!
I still think and dream about the Tagliolini alla Pescatora and a French martini i had when dining at Gradi at the Crown. I even requested a marriage proposal to be passed along to the chef. This was some of the best pasta I have ever had. The staff were so attentive and kind. They texted us when our table was ready and made sure our water glasses were never empty. This is a great place to be wined and dined.
I had the Ragu gnocchi and meatballs (without cheese since I’m lactose intolerant). The gnocchi was good but I thought the meatballs were a lot better. Staff was super friendly and helpful with the menu! Others on the table said their carbonara was a bit doughy and therefore hard to finish. I heard their pizza is best so may have to try later
Wow!!! Gradi absolutely beautiful, food 10/10 and service was good. If you want authentic good Italian food Gradi is the place. ❤️❤️
The staff who served at our table was really warm, welcoming and friendly. She helped me to ask the chef to write ‘congratulations’ on the plate of tiramisu for my daughter. And the food were so delicious 😋 Definitely will come back 😊
Horrible customer experience
Walked in here at around 6, waiter asked us if we wanted to dine inside or outside and we clearly said inside and we reassured him aswell. 20 minutes later we walked in and they said that we can’t get a table inside, and that we can only get a table outside. We clearly specified that we want an indoor table. Two waitresses were not helpful and were a bit annoyed with us for some reason, and the guy with glasses that ‘reserved our table’ didn’t even apologise. Extremely disappointed considering the time we waited and that the waiters didn’t even seem to care.
Today we had lunch at Gradi Crown 8 of us. I must say the service was very very good, from the min we sat down at the table until we left. We had one person with a gluten intolerance which was catered for with Gnocchi Ragout. The rest of us, from Pizza through to pasta. Dessert and coffee as well. Food was great Atmosphere casual relaxed and quite Service was exceptional from a young Spanish Lady Anouk, from being greeted at the table until the end. From getting our orders with notable detailed knowledge of the menu on Celiacs (Gluten Free), we received all our meals correctly in sequence, took our drinks order again all in sequence. Topped up our water glasses each time we drank a little water, collected the emptied beer bottles within mins of been emptied along with the Pepsi bottles. Collected the dirty plates and cutlery from our entrees and reset the entire table for our mains. Always with a smile, never just standing around, helping other staff, cleaning tables down, resetting tables, looking after patrons. Well presented, bright, always radiant, well mannered, always engaging and setting a high standard in work ethics. Well done Anouk I have 35+ years in the Hospitality industry and I don’t often write any reviews, but on this occasion I believe it needs to be noted Keep up your your high standards Anouk
Great food and reasonable prices. Highly recommended. Make a booking before attending though!
Stumbled on this place by accident as we were craving some pizza after our shopping trip. The reviews were spot on! We loved the pizza, the dough was thin and crispy with the crust having the right level of chew. Would definitely come back here again to try the other pizzas on the menu!
Exceptional dining experience at Gradi at Crown last night. We were a party of 4 celebrating a 70th Birthday and opted for the Feed Me menu, a selection of Gradi favorites. We weren't disappointed, there was so much food and every dish was beautiful, both in presentation and flavour. It was a fun night, and the service and wait staff were fantastic. Well done Gradi, looking forward to a return visit
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. amazing food, friendly service (class without stuffy), incredible ambience. Visited on a very busy night 23rd Dec. Thank you to the team
Waiter was Nice But manager needs to know the meaning of the customer is Right as we wanted to order The Feed Me option on the menu as it clearly states minimum 4 person minimum to order as we had 4 adults that wish to choose that option without our 7 Siblings that would not but they wouldn't offer that option as the whole Table had to order the same I'm Guessing the manager Must have no Family as arrogance did prevail in this instance food looked nice but unfortunately we did not experience properly pass with this experience
Have loved this place in the past, but after today have no plans to return! We came in with 4 adults and 7 children. The adults wanted to have the feed me option while the kids were keen for separate pizzas. We ordered a round of drinks to begin with and then the waiter came to take our order but apparently the feed me option is only available for 4 people with no children, if the children wanted to eat they must also have the feed me option. I asked to speak to the manager about this and he was the rudest, arrogant person I have ever met in the hospitality industry. Unfortunately people like him can very quickly ruin a businesses hard earned reputation. We ended up leaving without eating and instead spent our money at an establishment that showed us some respect.
One of the best pizzas I've ever tried abroad. The crust is soft and high, and the center is a little more crispy than a traditional pizza, so it doesn't become chewy after 5 minutes. Exactly how I like it. Una delle migliori pizze mai provate all'estero. Il cornicione è alto e soffice, e il centro è leggermente più croccante di una pizza napoletana, il che a parer mio la rende perfetta (non diventa gommosa dopo 5 minuti)
Extremely rude to me and my family, refused to serve us the food we had asked for.
Rude to customers Manager has a bad attitude
My experience at Gradi Crown has been consistently disappointing. On multiple occasions, I’ve encountered unprofessional and unhelpful behavior from staff, which has made visits less than enjoyable. Unfortunately, the level of customer service does not meet the standard one would expect. I hope management takes steps to address these issues, as it has potential to be a much better experience.
Food was alright for the price. Happy with the service and atmosphere.
Very bisy as it was Christmas time. There was some confusion with ordering and main meals came with entree. I think it was a busy day for them.
1 star for calamari appetizer. Minus 4 stars for a terrible steak. First of all, my steak was medium well when I asked for medium rare. I returned it. They made it again but it’s not well rested and by the end of my meal, the plate was dripping with the “blood” sauce. Second, steak doesn’t come with any sides except for pathetic lemon slice which I don’t know what that’s for. Third, steak was not seasoned. It was bland. Fourth, this plate cost $55!!! Advise - avoid the steak at all cost. I won’t return.
Meals were very nice. For me a bit over priced but still very tasty
Best restaurant in melbourne.
We had a dinner as a group of 6 people at Gradi during Melbourne cup week. The restaurant was full, but service was efficient and all our dishes arrived promptly. We ordered a few different dishes to share and everything was fresh and delicious. I personally love this place. Thank you Gradi team.
Got stuck in unisex toilet with no door at 400Gradi Crown. Had to bang the door till a waiter opened it. No door handle. Thought I was about to get stuck in there for 2 hours and could not get out.
Delicious food and cocktails with attentive staff. Outdoor area was a great place to sit.
Had the pleasure of dining at Gradi Crown, and it was an incredible experience! Jessica, who was both the host and cashier, went above and beyond to assist us when our Crown gift card wasn’t working. Despite being busy, she remained calm, helpful, and professional, ensuring everything was sorted smoothly. Her outstanding support truly made our night special. The rest of the staff were equally exceptional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The only feedback I’d like to share is regarding the policy on takeaway wine. Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to take the bottle we paid for, which I understand is Crown’s policy. However, it would be great if this rule could be reconsidered in the future. Thank you, Gradi Crown, for such an amazing evening. I wholeheartedly give Jessica 5 stars and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Lovely staff, amazing atmosphere, delicious food!!
Been here heaps of times over the years and it never fails to impress. Food is just great
