The level of service in the hotel was amazing, I would like to specifically give out two names, Kayla at reception was so welcoming and had a great sense of humour and always had a smile on her face & Johanna at the lounge the level of customer service was absolutely amazing,I have been at AC Marriott hotel three times and I have come across Johanna on all three occasions and she always had a smile and was very helpful.
Great location, premium rooms and fantastic service. Special thanks to Kayla for her assistance at check-in!
loved our stay. very nice staff and the place felt very clean. i wish the pool bar stayed open later than 10pm.
We enjoyed our stay here. Initially I thought it was a little far from downtown but once we realised it's an easy walk to some great cafes and there are two tram stations nearby we thought the location was great. The view from the bar is nice. Room pretty standard but clean, and felt like new. Only used the pool once but it was very enjoyable
Modern hotel with a great view of the city
Fantastic weekend getaway! Location is a little far out, however the win is very little traffic!
Great location, super comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and made our time there very enjoyable. The breakfast was great
We arrived Monday around 3pm thought we would go for a swim disappointed the water was cold and no spa or sauna. Then we went to our room for a shower and the water was Luke warm. Could not get hot water till the next morning. We went for a swim in the morning and the pool was warm which was great. Gym was pretty good but the room was warm could not find air-conditioning. We also notice our room. Was not the cleanest we been in cheaper hotels where the room was spotless. Marks on the mirror and glasses also white marks on the black cup holders. The breakfast was really yummy and the customer service was great with lovely smiles. We did enjoy our stay.
Firstly the room was nice. Comfortable and clean. Small but you don’t live there. Then… the first night was a Monday. No restaurant open. 140 people from all over the country from my company. All there was was bar food. Great for lunch not dinner. We dealt with that ok. The burger wasn’t too bad but the chips were smothered with paprika salt. Second night our group met in the now open restaurant at 7. While we gathered we were offered drinks and chose water. All ok. 5 of us at our table. Ordered food by 7.15pm. 2 x corn fritters, 1 bowl of chips, 1 prawn skewer, 2 steaks medium rare. At 7.50 I went and asked how long food would be and was told just a few minutes longer. At 8 o’clock we noticed that people who came in after us were now eating and nothing had yet arrived at our table. Giving the benefit of the doubt I waited yet again and at 8.15 went up and asked again about our food and was told that it would be 5 minutes more. To which I responded that he’d told us 2 minutes at 7.50 and it was now well past that. He didn’t respond. So 8.20 and the bowl of chips turned up - cold and smothered in the paprika salt. That customer sent them back a few minutes later. A new bowl promptly appeared still smothered but hot. The corn fritters followed and they were overcooked, dry and just crumbled when those girls tried to pick them up. Hugely unappetising. So we received the steaks about 8.30 and while one steak was “just” medium rare my steak was mostly raw and was already cut up on my plate. So cold as well. I tried to find a few redeeming pieces but in the end had to take it up to the man I’d talked to before. I showed him and said this is raw. He just took my plate and I’m guessing told them to cook another. 2 minutes later another steak was presented to me intact and he stood to see if it was cooked enough. It was just passable so I waved him away and just set to eating it. It was at least cooked a bit longer. I was starving. When we went to organise putting it on our room numbers I told him that I wasn’t impressed with the whole service. He wanted to know if I’d had a drink with my dinner as the others had. No I just had water. He then offered me either a glass of wine or a beer to make up for how it went. I took the wine on the house as nothing else was offered. Hugely disappointed, fed back to my company the next day. Hope they don’t send us here again. I’ve stayed at the other Marriott dockside and it was wonderful. Clearly this place is cheaper and saved them some money. I can’t quite understand why a big hotel chain who knows they are having large groups staying there don’t have the restaurant open on business days.
My stay here was amazing! Such a beautiful hotel, with really nice views!! The pool, while small, was very nice, breakfast was lovely, room service was quick, staff were lovely, super easy check in and check out process. My room was the perfect size. I thought the bed and pillows were a little uncomfy, but I also have a very soft bed at home, so that could be why! The app is also super easy to use. I just loved this hotel and can’t wait to go back!
1. If your website says that you have on site parking (but height restrictions apply) you need on site parking 2. A public car park that you discount the overnight rate of is not a suitable alternative, especially if it charges guests every time they come and go from said car park. 3. Careful which room is booked. If you’re on the back side of the hotel you’ll have a lovely view of the tram depot 4. Rooms are so tiny that. The sink for the bathroom doubles as a kitchen. 5. No fridge
Great view of the skyline from the room. Clean room, comfortable beds. It's a bit of walk to the tram station. There is a supermarket closeby. No amenities for kids, but it's obviously not a family hotel
Could not fault the staff on arrival at reception. Room was small, but bedding sufficient for our stay. Pool area needs attention, stepping on fries and sauce left near pool steps not ideal! Booked dinner in hotel restaurant. Basic meals with fries smothered in Paprika on every main ordered. Wait staff approached and asked if we would like dessert when we were one third through the meal. Asked her to return later. Came back 5 minutes later suggesting that we should order dessert now as the chef would like to prepare it now! Asked her again for time to finish our main first! Comes back again and pushes one of our plates over and puts dessert menu on the table! I then stated we will go elsewhere for dessert...Tried to pay the bill with cash, not an option, paid with debit card and told there would be a weekend surcharge, note had already paid this at the bar for 2 drinks! There would also be a credit card charge! I explained I was using a debit card ?? Wait staff offered a blank stare, agreed to pay all the charges to get out of the place... Next morning no power points in the room we're working, informed by reception that a fuse must have tripped. Unable to make a coffee or use hairdryer. Breakfast was OK, wait staff very attentive. This hotel did not meet my expectations of a Marriot hotel, I did explain this to the reception staff on check out, but was not convinced the response was genuine!
Brilliant hotel - very close to cbd & restaurants. Clean & modern. We will be back
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were too small. We were “upgraded“ to a deluxe king room. And had trouble finding room for our luggage that would allow us to move around the bed. Breakfast was very well done. Gym was very nice with a lot of options. Infinity Edge pool on the 6th floor looking out over the city was unique.
Special mention to all Gold Coast Hotels and to all Accor hotels.... THIS is how a hotel should be run, both with their schedule flexibility, and customer service being nothing short of excellence. And unlike the Gold Coast Hotels, AC Marriott House Keeping respect your privacy and don't come into your room unannounced or even when the privacy sign is on. The rooms still smell brand new, even their basic standard rooms are amazing and very clean. Another fact- unlike so- called 5 star hotels in the Gold Coast, the AC provides a mini fridge that actually works, and you can fit more than just your hand in it. Highly recommend this hotel, amazing views of beautiful Melbourne!
Absolutely stunning views…
We had a pleasant one night stay during our trip to the Australian Open. The room was clean and spacious with a nice view of the city. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The only complaint is the location, which is not the best for driving in. There is little room out front to park while checking in. Other than that, a good experience.
Luxurious hotel. Rooms clean, modern and comfortable. Great food in the restaurant. Location was the only downfall but would still stay there again.
Came for Christmas. So clean and lovely. Dog friendly. Great pool and bar. Thank you
Great location. New property. Great service. Kayla, Cara, Kitty. Others.
City view premium King room #1. Gr8 city view, breakfast was included, buffet breakfast was fantastic variety of food. Staff was very helpful and perfect location to go around city places. Will stay again soon. The outdoor swimming pool on site and gym was a bonus. Loved it.
I would stay here over and over again. The people are incredible and go above and beyond for every guest staying! Our room was “Superior, Guest Room, 1King, Urban View”. The deal we got with our room included, free parking (very close to the hotel), late 1pm check out & free buffet breakfast! This space was perfect 🤩 and I would highly recommend!! Can’t wait to come and stay here again!! Kristal was a great help and had incredible customer service skills!
櫃檯人員服務很棒。
Great little base for our stay in Melbourne! Not too far to trams and affordable parking available. We enjoyed a night in the bar and Sandeep took great care of us, the staff were a highlight actually. The room was tight but very nicely appointed. Infinity pool was ok but windy and cold both times I went in during summer, need a spa or something.
I’ve stayed at AC a few times now and always had a great experience. The staff are super friendly and always acknowledge my Marriott status and were great with my young son. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and large TVs. The breakfast is tight, but tasty. The location is a bit out of the way, but walking distance to Convention Centre, Crown and DFO. Will definitely be back
We recently stayed at the AC Marriott Melbourne for two nights, traveling from Geelong, and were absolutely impressed by both the hotel and its staff. From the moment we arrived, the team was incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to look after our luggage before check-in and again after check-out, allowing us to explore the city luggage-free. Our room was stunning and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was a definite highlight—absolutely amazing! Although we didn’t get a chance to dine at the hotel’s bars or restaurants this time, it’s something we’re looking forward to on our next visit.
Good location as everything is close by. Good breakfast too.
The day pool pass is not worth it. The pool is small and on the 6th floor, not the roofrop, and the view is not good. The pool bar didnt have good service and the food was very bad.
What a great hotel!! We had the most pleasant stay at AC Hotel for NYE. The staff were all very welcoming and polite. Room and facilities were clean and comfortable. We’d love to come back again!
Rooms with great views!! Had a pleasant stay!
Overall a great experience . Room was well appointed with Dyson hair straightener and blow dryer , modern decor and a lovely welcome chair phone and platter on arrival . |The view was great as we had a suite so there was two walls with floor to ceiling windows . |The staff were an absolute stand out , so kind and went above and beyond . |The only down side was the tiny pool and little area to sit by the pool. Not a great kids pool . Also the room service for food was non existent - this may be due to it being New Year’s Eve but I would expect to still be running .
Tracey ( I hope I spelt it right, the lovely girl working at reception on 03/01/2025 at 8pm was so lovely, if i return it would be because of her! Had a little accident with some hot water and she made sure to keep me comfortable and checked in on me throughout my stay. Thankyou!
地點有點遠,附近少購物商店,泳池同相片一樣,前台地方有的窄,如果有多位客人同時間登記:排隊有困難,房間清潔
I had spent over 130 nights in the past two years with Marriott group, mostly are Sheraton, Westin, Courtyard,Four points..in China , Malaysia, Taiwan. This is the first time l choose to booked AC Hotel due to the Google ratings... the experience l had in AC hotel l would say it's like a play a dice game, the service staff in bar, breakfast, room service make you feel good to keep Marriott membership. On the other hand, when you make a request with the front counter sometimes you got good feedback, but some staff would make you feel like you are staying a 2-3star hotel in China...they are good at bargaining ...so l checked out after staying two nights, and booked in Courtyard...and I would say Courtyard is way better in general..
First time staying here. Close to DFO, if that's important for you. We stayed on New Year's Eve, so the hotel was fully booked, and check-in was understandably busy. Check-in is usually on level 7, but they opened up an extra desk on ground floor, but the communication wasn't the best. Because we had a package with a bottle of wine, we had to check-in upstairs. The system apparently logged the staff member out after eight continual hours, so he had to logout and login again. Weird. The room was small, but nice. I thought the bed was good - a bit firm, but not too hard. Two pillows of differing firmness. We booked an urban view room and got to see pretty much all of the fireworks from our room. No guarantee of seeing the fireworks, otherwise. Whoever took the website photos of the swimming pool is a genius. It's absolutely tiny - fun, with some afternoon sun, but tiny. No spa, either. Understandable, given the size of the hotel. Breakfast buffet is ok - the usual fare of hot dishes, some flavourless Asian dishes (noodles are plain as) and bread/pastries/cereal. Coffee machine only, unless you pay for a coffee. Matt, on check-in, was really friendly, to be expected. Child- and dog-friendly, so expect some barking, though our room was pretty quiet.
I was extremely disappointed with the New Year’s Eve event. The $245 ticket, which promised unlimited food and drinks, was not at all reflective of the experience. The drinks were of poor quality, with a very limited selection, and the food was underwhelming at best. We tried several dishes, including the paella, but they were all subpar. The paella rice, for example, was undercooked and still crunchy. Additionally, there were no available seats or tables, and at one point, three different groups were crammed around our small table. The DJ's performance was lackluster until around 11:30 PM, when it started to SLIGHTLY improve. Overall, for the price we paid, the event was not worth it. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration for future events.
No good Service l pay $570 +100 Bond for one night for nothing very dirty, no breakfast nothing in the fridge no water no any drink or coffee I I talk to My lawyer about the hotel after a New Year’s do something because this day my happy anniversary I’m very sad
This was my favourite hotel in Melbourne. After my last stay, i doubt i will be back. We stayed in a very cramped room, i couldn’t even close the bathroom door without squeezing myself in. When we arrived we noticed the lack of amenities, we had to call housekeeping to bring us toothbrushes, lotion etc. Parking is a huge problem here, so if you have a car don’t even bother. This is a pet friendly hotel i think… during the week we stayed here, there seemed to be more dogs than humans 🤦🏽♂️ dont get me wrong, i love dogs but too many dogs in one hotel cant be a hygienic experience. I’m not sure how much effort goes into cleaning the rooms after guests with dogs checkout, i noticed in some of the reviewers pics that dogs are sleeping in the beds… The service i get at reception is always excellent, the location is good, just behind dfo and not far from a tram stop… overall, the room size and amount of dogs i experienced during my last stay was enough to have me looking for a new regular hotel in Melbourne.
My husband and I always stayed at the Marriott AC SOUTHBANK as we came regularly to Melbourne. However our experience last week was appalling. As Silver Elite Marriott members our room was sub- par, bathroom cramped and no amenities in the room for us to use during our stay. As much as we are dog lovers we were not happy that there were so many dogs which made me question the extent of cleanliness of beds and linen. Location is great. But that was it. Sadly, AC Marriott won't be seeing us anytime soon- we would rather stay at another Marriott in Melbourne.

5 Stars – Exceptional Service and Dog-Friendly Excellence! I cannot say enough good things about our stay at AC by Marriott! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, the service was absolutely amazing from housekeeping to management. A special shoutout to Sam, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her exceptional service truly made our experience memorable. What stood out the most was how dog-friendly the hotel is. They treated my dog, Noah, like a VIP guest—just like any other visitor! It’s rare to find a place that’s so accommodating and thoughtful when it comes to pets. The overall experience was fantastic—great amenities, warm hospitality, and a team that genuinely cares. Highly recommend AC by Marriott to anyone looking for a top-notch stay, especially if you’re traveling with your furry friend! We’ll definitely be back!
A nice marriot affilaited hotel with a good breakfast spread. Its a great place to access the city - the tram or by car its super quick.
If you had a choice between AC Marriott and Marriott docklands I would definitely stay in AC Marriott. Marriott docklands is meant to be upscale but the service is appalling. The service at AC Marriott is fantastic especially Matt the duty manager.
Excellent service
Generally speaking is ok. Need to walk around 10mins to tram station. Only complaint is the lighting in the room, we usually leave only the bathroom light on when sleeping (in case of need to visit bathroom at night); but bathroom light in AC hotel is linked to the dressing table light outside of the bathroom, which means we cannot independently turn off only the bathroom light. In the end, we have to leave a reading light on after turning off the bathroom/dressing table light, not ideal for a good night sleep.
The car park isn’t THAT far away when you walk/drive through the Oakwood “alleyway,” maybe a couple hundred meters. The pool isn’t as grand as it looks in the photos. The gym is clean and has everything you need. The buffet breakfast is enough but nothing special. The Suite is amazing and the view is fantastic. However, the pillows are impossibly bad! They literally flatten out to nothing when you rest your head on them. The service is amazing, but it’s weird as when you walk into the hotel because the concierge is permanently unmanned and you have to go up to the 7th floor to speak to someone. If you’re going, park out the front (or at Total Tools) then get your bags, check into the room and take your stuff up. THEN go and park your car so you don’t have to carry all your bags all the way back to the hotel. The weekend we were there in late 2024 was $32/day but we paid for late checkout and parking with the booking and they gave us vouchers. But make sure u get vouchers for every 24 hours or you’re cooked. Good luck.
v modern and new, the view is also epic due to its location in downtown melbourne theres a lot of fog but can still see a lot
Stayed 5 nights at AC during recent trip to Melbourne for a conference from the 9th to the 15th November. It was a total disappoinment and doesn't live up to the standards of the Marriott chain of hotels. Hotel is fairly new but probably won't stay that way for long due to poor maintenance and housekeeping. In my many years of travel I have never experienced a total water outage for more than 3 hours which was a major inconvenience as I had to reschedule morning meetings due to this outage. The only service recovery for this major inconvenience was a note under the door to notify guests of the water coming back online and to run the water for a few minutes to allow the brown water to drain out. This is simply unacceptable considering how significant this incident was. Another major issue that came up on one of the the mornings was that 2 out of 3 lifts were out of order and you can imagine how packed and slow the remaining functional lift was as it had to cater to all the hotel guests. Housekeeping was also sub par as toiletries weren't replaced until a request was put in and bottle caps or tissue that was on the floor wasn't picked up and removed. Slippers and shoes weren't arranged properly as well and so were clothes left on the bed. Other good rated hotels I've stayed at these were basics that housekeeping would look out for to ensure that the room is spick and span by the time you return. For an international chain hotel, it also lacks power sockets that were compatible with power plugs from different regions of the world which even in lesser hotels I've stayed at is a standard feature. When I called the front desk I was told that there weren't any adapters to loan but could be purchased at AUD$12. I was taken aback by this as most hotels would have been able to loan you an adapter if the room didn't come with a universal power socket. The hotel is about a 10min walk to the convention center and nearest tram station but there a lack of food options around it which isn't ideal. I would recommend you look at other options as there aren't many positives I took away from my stay here.
Great hotel, the rooms are confortable and new. It’s really close to a nice restaurant and market area and loved its Bonvoy! Btw the gym it’s soooo good!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Had high hopes for the stay but was let down too many times. Reception was via a small ramps on the ground floor to lifts to the 7th floor !!|With booking a deluxe King room we thought a view might be on the cards but ended up on the first floor overlooking a tram yard. Someone else’s door nearby had no soft close and we thought the TV was going to fall off the wall and the lights shook due to the loud bang. The chaise in the room was too big for the space and meant you had to squeeze past the bottom of the bed. We had no Robes in the room either.|The toilet position meant you couldn’t open the bathroom door without being kneecapped and when you went to stand up, you nearly knocked yourself out on the wall opposite. The toilet seat creaked and banged against the wall every time you moved and the toilet roll holder was right next to the door space, so the end of the roll kept getting trapped in the door.|And due to the rain falling on the glass overhang by the window all we heard was drips and splashes, not gentle rain.|I feel bad for the comments, when the staff were all very friendly, but wont be going back again.
I stayed at this hotel for a couple nights. At first glance everything looks fine & clean. However room was extremely dusty everywhere. Even as i put the blanket from the bed on me i saw so much dust come off it. 2nd day i woke up to a bad throat, constant sneezing and bad allergies. When the rooms were serviced for a clean up you’d think they’d change the sheets as they were a little dirty. Nope still the same sheets just made the bed. Made me think do they even change the sheets between guests? I didnt want to think too much of it. Day 3 check out i get home and i have little bugs on me. Quickly showered. Then to realise day after i had bites all over my body. The bugs were still crawling on me afterwards. It was quick to spread over onto my family a couple days later. I paid a visit to dr and was told i have scabies. I have never experienced scabies in my life & it was after contact with their beds. Rethinking it all I just knew that the amount of dust and dirty sheets from that room were the cause as they would be infested with dust mites!!! Affected myself, whole family & home. Now im trying to deal with it in hopes to remove it from our home.
Loved my stay here. Highly recommend visiting the bar for a cocktail. I had the best chilli Margherita of my life made by the fantastic Sunil. Some of the best bar service I've ever received, attention to detail is next level. Would come back and stay again. Don't miss Gin hour.
I had booked accomodation for my work trip and was all paid online already through work account. They were only supposed to hold a security bond on my personal credit card but ended up charging the entire amount again and that without my concern. After 5 calls still awaiting refund and just so much waste of time to chase for it. For hotel management my confirmation number is 9260
Awesome experience we booked a suite room. Extremely happy with a choice
A little disappointed.. Underperforming air-conditioning with a lot of noise coming from air rushing under the door that had to be blocked with a towel Noisy plumbing..I could hear water in the pipes in our room and adjacent rooms Pretty much the same breakfast daily..hardly changes A certain unpleasant odour in the bathroom...again I think there are issues with the plumbing efficiency Bed was made upside down..doona underneath with the sheet on top..?? On a positive note the location is handy to a tram stop or a short walk to the Crown Casino
Great hotel and outstanding customer service
We booked a single night and have had a disappointing experience. Parking is a nightmare. Payed the hotel to park as part of the booking. Parking is a block away in an open public carpark that has no spaces. You are supposed to find a park in there get a ticket, give them the ticket and leave without a ticket. Absolute joke. Staff are rude and dismissive when approached with issues. Overall service is not great, booked a room with champagne and instead of having it sent to the room or already in the room on some ice or something they just give you the bottle at the check-in desk. Room is small but very clean. Superior king doesn't seem to have a fan in the bathroom - minor thing but it's probably why the room smelled a bit when we came in for the first time. I will be spending money in a different hotel in future. Edit: breaky was good if you are staying there its worth it.
Fantastic hotel. The rooms, the service, everything here is fantastic. I kinda wish it was closer to the CBD, but it is close to the MCEC, which is a benefit of your going there.
my family and I had the breakfast buffet. Another family members of ours arrived from Sydney to Melbourne at 8AM via train (imagine how exhausted they were that time) and they couldn’t check in yet as it wasn’t check in time, so while waiting for them to be able to check in, they sat with us in the restaurant while we had breakfast. The “restaurant supervisor” that time named PABLO was just watching all our movements the whole time, as he advised us that those who did not pay for the buffet breakfast would have to pay to be able to eat. We asked for ala carte menu and they couldn’t provide one. One of my nieces just had a piece of watermelon as she wasn’t aware about what was going on that time – and hurriedly, as expected, the “supervisor” PABLO went to me, in the middle of my breakfast, to advise me that we had to pay for full buffet price because ‘everyone’ in our table was consuming the buffet food. The supervisor PABLO was already on fire that you could feel how eager he was for us to pay extra. Apart from us NOT enjoying the start of our day with how we were treated with their kind of “customer service”, I just asked the issue to be escalated to the manager. PABLO reported everything to the manager. BUT THEN AGAIN, the duty manager that time SARAH was never welcoming and wouldn’t want to make the hotel guests happy – so when we went to her, WITHOUT ANY GREETINGS OR SO, she was already prepared with her defensive lines and blindly trusted what the restaurant supervisor had told her. She addressed us as if we are the villains in her story. She did not ever bother to ask how it has started and where we are coming from, she just argued with us. How unprofessional. Dear duty manager Sarah and Restaurant Supervisor Pablo, we were on a family holiday when we stayed in your hotel. We have prepared and had been looking forward for that short precious family time of ours. Just like YOU, we also work hard to earn, and to experience some time off work and be with our loved ones. You guys caused us so much disappointment during our stay in your hotel. We wanted that weekend to be happy and relaxing for our family. We have worked hard for that moment and as hotel guests, we deserve a quality customer service – NOT that kind of dealings we have experienced from you, SARAH and PABLO. To be fair, I would like to commend the other hotel staff members (especially during the evening shift) and the housekeeping staff members, they have been kind, enthusiastic and doing everything they can to make their guests happy.
We needed a coffee while waiting to meet up with a friend. There are no cafes in that vicinity. Then we saw the hotel and surely all Marriots serve coffees? Yes, and we could have croissant as well. The coffee was very good and the croissant just topped it off. Staff were pleasant and helpful. So this will be our future meetup venue!
Fairly close to the DFO and the casino if that’s your gig to City just a little bit far to walk and the free tram doesn’t start for about 2 km away Parking for guest is a little hard but not impossible
設備新穎,早餐好吃
I like this location. Short walk to the river, restaurants and shops. Hotel has nice views of the city. Lively bar and interesting breakfast options. Lobby area is large with good seating for meet ups. Modern place. On the downside, crossing the road here can be treacherous when on foot.
It’s awesome place
Lovely stay. Not far away from things if you don't mind walking a bit. The markets are close and incredible. The rooms provide everything you'll need and the beds are comfortable. The staff and the view are the real winners. Mindy at the bar is fabulous and Harry* (I apologise if I've remembered that wrong) went above and beyond to accommodate. I will stay there again next time I visit.
飯店設施舒適,環境優美,餐點美味。
Stayed here for a convention this weekend and we were blown away by how wonderful this hotel was! So incredibly accommodating, even when we had odd schedules to follow. Room was clean and comfortable with a city view for a very reasonable price. Staff very friendly and we are considering making this a regular stay when visiting Melbourne! Could see the convention centre from our window and it was easy to get around. Only thing I would say could be improved is a few extra toilet rolls in the hotel room because we ran out, but that's it. Buffet breakfast was incredible and tasty and the reception area kept our bags safe while we finished up at the breakfast before checking out. Thank you so much to the AC by Marriott team! You made it an amazing weekend for us!
My girlfriend and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and were very displeased. For first time visitors of Melbourne the staff were rude and had an attitude. We got our room which when we walked in the room was clean at first glance but we noticed a slight smell that we couldn't figure out. We then went out shopping for a few hours and to look around the city and when we came back to the room it smelled very heavily of vomit. The smell was so bad we nearly got sick and had to leave the room. We went to the reception which is on the 7th floor and the front desk employee supposedly put us in an upgraded room for our troubles and did help us get our bags to the next room. The second room we entered looked like our original room just rearranged slightly. We were able to sleep that night peacefully. The next day we went to get coffee the employee had a snarck look on her face and was pretty rude. We didn't feel comfortable in the room after the first night as we heard random noises through the next couple nights and multiple doors being slammed shut. We were happy to leave the hotel the last day when the check out employee was actually pleasant to deal with.
I had a lovely weekend at the hotel it had everything I was looking for in a hotel. The staff were great and accommodating in all areas keep up the great work. My friend and I had a drink at the bar which was great and Sunil really looked after us to ensure a great evening. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the pool and you just jump in an Uber and you’re off to explore the beautiful city. I will definitely be returning. ⭐️
