Had a lovely dinner with Atlantic last week, food is great but service is excellent. Staff are helpful and welcoming. Especially Mark, gave wonderful recommendations for the food and drinks. He also gave me and my boyfriend best dinning experience in Melbourne. Love his service! Thank you Mark for making our last day in Melbourne so memorable! Would highly recommend🫶🏻

Thought we’d give it a try as I saw flounder on the menu and I’ve not had it in years. Was a wonderful experience, from the breakfast margarita to the wine. Fish was superb, service was great. Will definitely be back when in Melbourne next

Came here for a dinner with my partner and my sister the night after her wedding, we were met with fantastic service, Fantastic food, great atmosphere and an amazing night! Cannot recommend this place enough and a special shout out to JR and the special cocktails they make!!

Took my partner for a romantic birthday dinner but instead got what felt like a rowdy party atmosphere. I didn’t like the push to order the meal even before I looked at the menu. Ambience was way below expectation. However food was on point and the drinks washed down my disappointment well. I went to the fantastic bar downstairs afterwards. I encourage the restuarant to market the bar more. Instead of rushing patrons at dinner encourage them to have a drink downstairs.

I visit here when I am travelling for work and love the food. I am usually alone and try a few smaller dishes which are all amazing. As I dine alone sometimes I get restaurant and sometimes bar. I prefer restaurant as the bar can be a little quiet. However particular shout out to Jr who stopped by often to check in on me and have a chat. Food is amazing and I have not yet had a disappointing experience.

Standouts: great service, waiters were attentive and helpful when it came to choosing some menu items. Oysters were super fresh too. And the beef carpaccio was to die forrr! Slight let downs: I think being served a baked whole garlic with the skin on with the steak was a little much for me, which overall was annoying to eat (personal preference).Their mushroom sauce was also not my favourite. I just found the entire steak meal to be lacking in flavour. Otherwise their menu had lots of yummy options.

We had an amazing dining experience at The Atlantic! The food was absolutely incredible - every dish was cooked to perfection (Moreton bay bug roll is a winner). The service was equally outstanding, though we didn’t catch the name of our waitress, she was fantastic and made our night truly special. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience for my birthday!

We loved the food (Morten Bay Bugs and Grilled Barramundi) and received excellent service with JR. I would highly recommended dining at The Atlantic.

Alright, I'm not sure what is up with some recent low rating reviews for the Atlantic. We've just finished dinner, and this restaurant is impeccable. The service was extremely attentive, professional yet casual and friendly. Massive shoutout to Elizabeth for making our night amazing. The food was incredible, special highlight being the Scallops and Morton bay Bug Spaghetti - this is potentially the best thing I have ever eaten! We ordered multiple dishes, with all being exceptional. Overall an amazing dinner, with incredible food and amazing service. You can't go wrong. If you've been hesitant to book, do it now. You won't regret it!

We recently dined at The Atlantic for our wedding anniversary and decided to splurge on the hot seafood platter, expecting something truly special given its $340AUD price tag. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The platter included four overcooked king prawns, fried oysters (a bizarre choice that did them no favors), under-seasoned scallops, two pieces of King George Whiting that were both dry and bland, and half a lobster—the only redeeming part of the meal. For the price, we anticipated top-quality seafood cooked to perfection, but instead, we got an overpriced, underwhelming experience. The service was good, but that alone doesn’t justify the cost. Honestly, we’ve had far superior seafood platters at smaller, unassuming restaurants for a fraction of the price. Definitely not worth it, and we wouldn’t return for the seafood.

Dined here last night after not coming here for 6 months due to a poor experience thought I’d give it another go… what a mistake… 27 mins to receive drinks another 30 mins to receive food had to ask multiple times for water. The only saving grace was the waitress that looked after us. She was lovely unfortunately the food is not… overpriced and the smallest portions. I think Atlantic has become a place where people that don’t live in Melbourne go to perhaps overseas or interstate guests. Because let me tell you it’s not great! One plus is the ambience, it is good. The service needs so much work! They should hire more people as it looks like they’re struggling! Won’t be back anytime soon… plus what’s with a surcharge on top of asking for tips?! lol

If you want amazing fish and chips - you won’t find it here. Overcooked and rubbery. I’d rather go to the local fish and chip shop for $38 + 10% Sunday charge. Just don’t bother. I’ve been here twice now and the food isn’t upto par. Not the place you wanna be on any special occasion. But the chips was lovely. I’d come back for the chips. That’s it.

Even though we had booked our table wasn’t ready when we arrived. We got sent downstairs to wait and have a drink but no one came back to tell us our table was ready. After finishing our drink we found someone to seat us. The service was good and the waitress was very friendly. The food was the let down. Entrees took forever to come out and were thrown together. Mains were better, the steak was cooked perfectly and the fish was great. The side were very average. Overall a pretty standard crown restaurant experience.

The reason I decided to book The Atlantic for dinner was for something special for my girlfriend’s 21st birthday. When we arrived we were taken to our seats and given the drinks menu. It then took over half an hour for someone to come back to the table with the food menu and take our drink order, of 2 soft drinks. Another half an hour later someone came and took our food order, but our 2 soft drinks still hadn’t arrived. We followed up our drinks multiple times with staff but when our entrees arrived we still did not have any drinks (nearly an hour after ordering 2 soft drinks). Finally just before our mains arrived we got our 2 soft drinks by this stage we were very frustrated with the lack of service. We found the food to be ok but due to the lack of good customer service it certainly wasn’t worth the price. Our overall experience was extremely disappointing and put a dampener on my girlfriend’s special night.

pretty disappointing. the carrots were the worst of it - it made me wonder if the chef lied on their resume. in what world would a fine dining restaurant serve plain boiled carrots with sauce? the seared ora king salmon was a miss too

Went today for our 13th Anniversary, it was beautiful. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic

We dined at Atlantic Restaurant as a special family outing. We didnt have to wait as we'd made a booking reservation. I ordered the Morton Bay Bug spaghetti My sister and her husband both had the fish and chips. My child ordered steak from the kids menu. We shared a bottle of rose` wine for the 3 adults. My sister and I shared a dozen oysters and we had prawn spring rolls and hot chips and ceviche to share. We've dined here about x8-x10 in the past, usually only when family visit Melbourne due to the expensive prices. It's absolutely worth it to treat yourself. In times past when we ordered coffee then we'd receive complimentary chocolate peanut brittle. Obviously that's gone out the window now....cost of living (?) Or just making/charging $14 for the same sized portion that no longer comes free with coffee. Recommend ☆☆☆☆ stars

Requested brunch menu at 12.40 pm and was advertised to be available until 1pm. Was told that it had been changed to 12pm even though brochure on the desk said it was available till 1pm. It is still advertised as available till 1pm on line. This is misrepresentation toward the public.

Lovely place for lunch! The baguette is so fresh and crusty, the whiting with fat chips was fresh, tasty and a big serve. Service at this restaurant was fantastic and such a relaxing, beautiful restaurant to sit and have a lovely weekend lunch. Will definitely be back again, hopefully next time to try the coral trout, as this was unavailable.

The food was good, atmosphere good for dating at night time when the lights down. Tiana did a great job. She been looked after us very well. More memorable with this place, definitely come back!!

Overall very good experience. The food was delicious and tasty. The staff were attentive and polite, checking in on us quite often. The atmosphere was nice, simple and easy to the eyes. Definitely recommend the prawn risotto.

I had a very disappointing experience at Atlantic Restaurant on 01/25. My friend and I ordered fish and chips, but the food was so oily that we couldn’t even finish our meal. It felt heavy and unappetizing, far from what we expected. On top of that, the service was poor—the waitress was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in making our visit enjoyable. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere and quality did not meet expectations. I would not recommend this place and won’t be coming back.

I've been wanting to go to the Atlantic for years, so glad I did. The food is exceptional, the service is friendly and knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend the flounder, very simple dish, but done extremely well, it's flawless. The chocolate cake dessert I had was incredible also. Two thumbs up.

Lunch today as a walk in. Excellent service. Great food thoroughly enjoyed the cold player really well presented and served by lovely young lady who explained the platter and recommended accompaniment. Found the decor well presented. Overall a very enjoyable lunch experience and we have booked for NY eve. Thank you for the service and well done

Visited mid-day for coffee and dessert so reviews of the food are only limited to that. Terrible dessert which speaks of zero effort. Whiskey Aged Maffra Cheddar for AUD 24 was nothing more than 2 slices of toast, 2 tiny sticks of cheddar, 1 strawberry and a small dollop of jam. All placed separately on a plate. Felt incredibly cheated when this was served up. I must say the views of the waterfront from the restaurant were nice though.

We had a 8.30 dinner booked and went in to have a drink beforehand.. waited 10 minutes at the bar with zero acknowledgement from anyone working. Not a great start. Once seated it seemed fine until our drinks order was messed up and wine was poured down the side of my wifes glass and bits on the table too. Food took 45 minutes to come out ... i ordered a $76 steak with side carrots and creamy mash. The mash never came and my steak was already sliced for me, after one bite realising it was just warm i was very upset!! I can handle it if a place is busy or maybe understaffed but the food better be on point. Won't recommend to anybody... the service was lacking badly and thats a new one for me having someone else cut up my dinner... (im not a toddler) Dont waste your time or money

Decent option if you’re looking for some good quality food in crown. Although the service is nothing to complain about, for the money you pay you would expect finer details to be better, e.g water being filled, cutlery to not have wash marks, more accommodative staff, knowledge about parking verification etc. Overall the food is good, nothing to rave about, however we were satisfied with most dishes.

Just a terrible experience from the start. The girls at the front were a bit rude. Had a booking at 8.30 and had to wait for our table till 9.15…. I had to ask 3 times what drink my partner wanted because they couldn’t get it right… Onto the food, well that didn’t go down well at all, for a restaurant at the crown to be using what looked like tip-top bread, is extremely poor! We asked for gluten free options and ordered gluten free bread, it literally was tip-top bread toasted that came with our burrata… My king prawn risotto was DROWNED in oil and I knew about it later…. Taste was completely off and made me feel sick From the food to the service , I highly don’t recommend coming here. Just 1 picture of our food we ate because the rest was a huge MISS… edit: have emailed their email about the experience without a reply yet...

Lovely setting, spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately otherwise we had a below average experience. My husband ordered the eye fillet medium rare but was served a medium + steak. Then had to wait to eventually flag down a waiter for a steak knife. I ordered a glass of champagne which was a very modest pour- I questioned the pour and the waitress gave a very haughty reply. Add a Sunday surcharge and we were out $200 for a very average meal. Won’t return- much better off at Bistro Guillaime a few doors down for better service at the same price point.

We had brunch at the Atlantic Brunch Club Cafe. Amazing. Food and coffee unreal.

A gorgeous, comfortable space and impeccable food. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options. We dined inside and enjoyed the beautifully maintained space. There are many tempting options on the menu. The king prawn risotto was simply perfect. The seared prawns were so flavoursome as were the prawns throughout the risotto which was perfectly cooked. The Duch creamy mash and steak was also pretty much perfect. Radicchio Salad was fresh and crisp. Service is of a high standard from entry to exit.

Outstanding seafood + dessert + wine/cocktail selection and quality. Wait staff were very friendly and responsive. Outdoor dining can be a bit surprising and warm when you're not expecting the Crown flame towers to let off a gas flame burst while you're relaxing :-)

Underwhelming Experience. I can think of 10+ restaurant's in Melbourne better than this one… quality of food and attitude of staff varied from excellent to poor during our sitting.. menu & pricing acceptable but overall a forgettable evening.

Meal was lovely, but as we walked in 4 staff walked past us as we waited to be seated and not one acknowledged us, we were then offered water and found on the bill at the end it was $13 for still water - which was not opened in front of us, so really, tap water!! Staff were quite rude except for one lovely lady. Very disappointed in the service!!

I went for a celebration of the end of the year celebration, and the food was so amazing! A real delight for the palate! I started with appetisers bread, butter, fish roe, and some roasted Prawns and oysters with vinegrette with some red wine vinegar and Charlotte's, or onions. To say it is delicious is to do it an injustice as the food makes you feel you are transported to heaven! I loved the main sirloin steak, chips, and roasted garlic as well! The servers were beyond exceptional were so nice and made sure we were happy with out drink choices, which was a lycee cocktail which tasted like candy and sherling German wine, which made you feel you were in Germany!

Visited for the first time on a Friday night and it was a lovely experience. The food was delicious! Cocktails amazing. Special mention to our server for the evening Lorenzo who was very kind and helpful and even came out with Happy Birthday decorations on the desert for my partner and sung happy birthday. I really appreciate his hospitality on the evening. Would highly recommend.

Food was great, recommend the Bay Bug pasta. The price was extreme for the food though. Service was very lacking however, where they got two orders wrong and mixed up who ordered what. Almost impossible to hear what my dinner mates were saying. Also what is this espresso martini served? 70% foam?

Went for a business lunch today, Melbourne Cup day. Just the two of us, service was attentive at the beginning but became non existent in the end, to the point of forgetting our coffee order. The meal was ok, and typical of this high end establishment but but overall it definitely could have been better experience.

Great seafood restaurant, service was great and didn't have to wait too long for the meals. Bugs were cooked great, just wish there was a little more chilli in the dish.

The wine was about the only good tasting item on our table. The Kilpatrick oysters were done in their “own way” so not the usual which honestly wasn’t that nice. The natural ones were good with the mignonette. The Barramundi itself was nice but the rest was average. The dory however was very boring, as a fish that lacks flavour the sauce and rest of the plate was very boring and had no excitement to it. Only really tasted good when you add lemon. The Mac n cheese was very watery and tasted like milk/flour and not of cheese. The waiter was very lovely and helpful. I came here 3 years ago and had a great experience but from this day on I would not recommend and I would not return.

Ate here for a bday last night. Food was impeccable, every dish was spot on. 👌 we had the eye fillet, mushroom risotto, Moreton Bay spaghetti, barramundi, grilled octopus & oysters. Chocolate cake & salted caramel crisps were just scrumptious 😋 We will definitely be back.

To say we were disappointed is an understatement, my wife ordered the king george whiting, which was nothing more than thick oily batter, have had far better at local pubs, which are lightly battered, and generous portion of fish. I ordered the scotch fillet steak, and received 2 sizzled steak thickness portions, who does this? which chef destroys a nice portion of steak?

Laurence is such an amazing waiter his customer service was incredible. My gf and I went out on a moms night out for dinner and we where serviced by him and we felt so comfortable and looked after Thankyou so much Laurence you legend

Spent around $1000. Food was good. Very disappointed at service. The service really ruined our whole dinner. Came earlier than the appointment time. Was told table will be ready in 15 minutes so decided to wait. Ended up waiting for 30+ minutes. Was brought to our table at the exact time of booking. Why not just tell us to come back at our booking time? That bad start ruined our whole dinner.

A big let down with food pallets and the taste. We expected more but a definite let down. Hot Seafood platter was nothing close to being authentic despite the price tag.

My wife had the Humpty Doo Barramundi which was very nice, I had the Thomas farms lamb chops which were delicious too. The restaurant is in a great location at the Crown casino and it shows, as it was almost completely full. Good restaurant atmosphere, a little noisy which was to be expected in a vibrant fun venue. Will come back!
