Just popped into check out the venue. The Pokies is nicely set up with tab and public bar. That's about all that I checked out. Friendly and courteous customer service. Ample parking in undercover car parking areas, as well the street parking. Easy access from all parking areas, with a controlled security entrance at the rear and front after certain hours! I absolutely loved the free toasted sandwiches 🥪 😋 😍 that may or not be the normal thing. A little secluded smoking area for smokers and clean toilet facilities.

Pub in a prime spot but could be so much more but just another lifeless pokies venue. Food is just basic counter meals yet nothing really stands out in flavors.

08/12 at 5.30 attended gaming room with my husband we had 3 mid strength beers I went to order a fourth drink and was told we should slow down in now way were we intoxicated very poor form to be judged by the gaming bar staff left a very nasty taste in our mouths. The atmosphere was also very poor due to the bar staff having a heated argument behind the bar as they were not happy with each others attitude all in all very poor experience and we will not return to the pier hotel

Gamble responsibility if you think it's getting too much tell the staff

Basically just pokies area with slot machines, some sofas and seats around and that's about it. Nothing special. Not really much of an ambience or vibe at all.

The security at front door last night was a absolute joke.my husband and I were there earlier, as normal we have 2 drinks and then go to a restaurant, then we normally go back and have another drink before we go home…But the security decided that he was not letting in any women in at all..no one was drunk, nor did he say that, he just said no you were here earlier and you can’t come in, but was going to let my husband and friend in, until I said you go in and get Deb or Janet..that was it now none of us were able to get in..why ??? So we had no problem going to the grand, then went to the RSL..

Great Band Venue. Seen so many great acts!!

Went on Sunday for a band they had playing ,unfortunately meet James the world's sadest bar staff, orange ear plugs in ,had to communicate buy pointing at bottle's and mixers ,showing hands to communicate if I wanted large or small ,most of his time was spent pouring his own drinks ,playing on phone, eating in the pool room ,watching ufc on you tube on the pub tvs,we'll the rest of the great staff carry him, if he has hearing issues place him in the pokie area or retrain him ,I do not get away with that in the hospitality industry

Thankfully now with a new manager Dylan the pub is getting some really good music on Sundays from 4 till 7. Cocktails are good but I tried to get a Bloody Mary and they had no tomato juice and had to source some from across the road at cheeky squires. Debbie you came through for me ❤️🤪😎. All in all it’s a good pub but to many poms allowed in, hahaha.

Well I'm actually banned 🚫 for life but in saying that the new staff were friendly and approachable attitudes and actions speak louder than words can especially in Frankston if you know what I mean Ha ha ha

Love this Pub such a diversity of customers all converging here for differant reasons, but all respecting each other, just walking in feels comfortable.

Do yourself a favour let the team at the pier Frankston host you for some great gigs on the bayside . Signing up some fine local/ international talent . The bar staff will get a cold frothy in ya hand before you can say thanks . Do you self a favour and go have a night locally.

Had our staff Xmas function here and it was a HIT! We hired the back bar function room and it was the perfect location and size we needed. We had a total of 70-80 guests turn up on the night and a great crew of bar tenders and security making sure the night was the best it could be. I even got to set up my own Lolly table which was a hit with guests. I will definitely be recommending this place, specifically for functions, in the future!

Good place to spend time

They gotta do something about the sports bars toilets, it always smells. It's been like this for years and yet management aren't doing anything about it.

Spent a pleasant few hours catching up with a mate over a couple of schooners.

Decent local pub, centrally located with an alright selection of drinks. Was great for watching UFC ppv as the screens were large and well located.

Great hotel,cheap food ,clean bar area.

Love the Pelly Bar. Great bands & excellent sound quality.

Poor venue… Got into an altercation with a English fella and told the manager, they said talk to the security guard at the front door, security was sitting there playing on his phone! Didn’t even hear me, 15th of April at around 2:20am if you own the facility get better security!

Had a great afternoon there , l won on the pokies , l felt really lucky there cause l never win like l did on that day . Staff were very nice , polite and accommodating

Staff and management are always amazing here, and there is always a great concert or show happening the old 21st century is still one of the best concert venues south East of Melbourne couldn't recommend highly enough get your tickets and support our music and hospitality industry

The Pier Hotel has been around forever but still manages to stay updated,nice and clean with friendly staff.

I came to this venue to have a couple of drinks with friends and to have a good time. We went up to the bar to order a couple of beers to get rejected because we were apparently too intoxicated which wasn’t the case. The lady with the red hair which I believe was the manager kept giving us dirty looks. I went to the bathroom to have one of the staff follow me in to see what I was doing which was extremely unnecessary. I felt as if I had the staff looking over my shoulder the whole time. Won’t be visiting again.
