Very friendly and service excellent

Fantastic food is great value for money. The live band was great.

Went out for dinner with my friends, Milly took our order, bought over our food and cleared our table, she was amazing and so sweet!

Hubby had Guiness pie we both had a guineas beer as you would. I had nachos which are my favourite and done very well. Opposite the beach which you can walk your meal off. Staff were very good. I would recommend a try here.

Lovely pub near the bay. I ordered the Beef & Guiness pie and it was delicious and the accompanying mash was lovely. Solid hearty pub food.

Was there tonight and absolutely loved the food. Had ribs and chowder smoothering delicious. Definitely coming back. Was little crowded but was nice 10/10.

Had been here 8th of jan. Ordered seafood pasta , ribs and chicken curry. Everything was outrageous. Hard to find any good food near here but if you want some just visit here will definitely worth.

Great food, seafood pasta was my favourite. Stew was good . Definitely coming back again .

Exactly what you'd want in an Irish pub. Food could be better but was well and truely good enough for. Pub. Great whiskey selection. Friendly staff. Will be back at some point.

Delicious food and great bar service for a dinner in rosebud!

Lovely and delicious meals.

Irish Stew was flavourful and lamb very tender. Irish Parma and chips were delicious, especially the curry dip. Seafood chowder was very meaty and broth was just the right consistency.

What a great pub this is! Went for the first time on Saturday night because friends were going and was amazed. The calamari were the best I've ever had and they had an awesome live band so atmosphere was electric. The staff were happy, pleasant and efficient. What a great find in Rosebud, will be my go to place from now on. Thanks McDaids, although I still have very sore feet from dancing all night!!! Can't wait to try the rest of the meals on the menu.

I find it a great venue for when we are able to schedule in a weekday date night. A nice dinner, followed by seeing a movie just around the corner and then back to the Pub for some dessert and a nightcap from their wide range of whiskeys and cocktails. Always a pleasant experience. The bar and alfresco area are great place to relax on a sunny afternoon, which it certainly is today and of course it’s Cup Day today…. Dammit! I’ve just talked myself into calling an Uber. Jj

We had a great meal there. Full of flavour and enough to fill us up. Would highly recommend this location.

Excellent food and value

Had a pint of Guinness and the 300g porterhouse with green pepper sauce. The steak was 5 star delicious and one of the best I've had in recent memory. Having the sauce already on the steak and with champ and broccolini rather than sauce on the side with chips and salad raised it above the level of your regular pub steak while being reasonably priced ($44). The service was friendly at the bar and the pub is warm, inviting and looks great. I'd be happy to order the same and eat there again tomorrow! :)

Came here on Grand Final day to watch the big game, was surprised it wasn’t that packed. Loved it especially for myself trying to get away from the city pubs that are overcrowded. Was a nice chilled pub with excellent drinks on offer on tap. Wasn’t sure what the O’Hara pale tasted like, the lovely and friendly staff offered a free tasting and I was sold. There were plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy the game. Will come back next time I’m in the area to try their food offerings.

Overall the place was amazing, atmosphere was cozy and warm. Staff was super nice, especially one staff member, Millie! She's super sweet and honestly just such a great worker. She deserves absolutely all the praise. Made my friends and I super comfortable and made sure that our food okay and to our liking.

Had a great time, our server Milly was attentive, friendly and made our dining experience worthwhile.

Pleasant surprise when you walk into the pub the atmosphere was excellent the staff were so friendly and welcoming the food serving were huge and the taste of the food was amazing one of the best stakes I had in a long time just wonted to say thanks to the staff and complements to the chef thanks guys for a awesome night.

We booked McDaids for a gathering after a family members memorial service. It was difficult to give them numbers or even oconfirm if people would be ordering food etc. The staff were fantastic. Understanding and Accomodating. Food was quick and tasty - Try the Slane Whiskey as reccomended by the barman. Thanks so much guys PN

Every visit is like walking back in time, great Guinness on tap, full of Irish signs & toe tapping Irish music! Caroline is the lovely Irish owner and wonderful host at most visits. A great feed and refreshments can be had by all! Clive & Sue (Hastings)

We were staying at Rosebud for our Mornington trip and this place completed our trip perfectly. Service and atmosphere were wonderful and the food was fantastic. Loved the Irish Stew. Definitely going again and recommend my family.

Parmas are soooo good here !

I used to drive 90 minutes to eat the Irish stew here and enjoy the ambience. Unfortunately both those things are not enjoyable anymore. The last two times I visited the stew was watery and flavourless. The tobacco onions were undercooked with raw batter and a powdery texture. The music was inconsistent both times. Off most of the time.

The Irish Parma - interesting. At first I loved it, then I thought it was a bit odd, then I realised how actually good it is, then I burped curry sauce for 3 days, now it’s all I think about. Me likey

We went for lunch today, ordered the Hurly burger & entree calamari. Both took a long time to come out, Calamari was tasty & tender but saturated in oil. The burger a good size but at $32 expected more and again the chips were soggy & oily. Verging on inedible.

Great people, Thursday steak night is a treat.

Its rare to find value this good, even the atmosphere is relaxing.

If you are looking for an Irish pub with traditional food, you will not be disappointed. Would be happy to go back for a meal or drink any time.

The pies were fantastic, beans cooked to perfection and that sauce was DELICIOUS!! 🫢 not a single spec left on our plates The menu is nice and simple and the staff/ambience was great.

Always enjoy McDaids Irish Pub

Came here around Christmas time. Had beautiful Christmas decor set up. Quite a nice venue, especially consider it’s a pub. Food was phenomenal! I got the Kilkenny battered fish & boyfriend got the Parma.

The service was great, and it does have a lovely atmosphere. It's a pub, as long as you remember that it's great. The menu is very limited, so don't go in with high expectations. The food was OK but not worth the slightly higher price we paid. Would I go back? For drinks yes, for a meal, no.

A beaut Irush Pub full of atmosphere. The squid and Guiness Pie were delicious.

The outdoors area is great for low key drinks or whatever, the back area is a bit more 'formal', but overall a great venue for a few drinks or a meal.

Good band that nite and great atmosphere.

Long wait for food, was told 45 minute wait but waited over an hour. Stew and pies are made in advance so I don’t understand why the wait is so long…atmosphere was was loud and a lot of obnoxious drunks around. Overall service was terrible and food wasn’t worth the wait.

We all got the irish parma and it was fantastic! The curry sauce was amazing and I'm so glad I asked for extra curry on the side. The serving size is unbelievable, I couldn't finish mine, although I tried. Service was fast, staff was friendly, nothing to complain about. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

Great atmosphere, attentive staff, reasonable prices for generous servings and the food is actually beautiful! Well done guys, highly recommended!

My partner and I had a fantastic experience here on our weekend away trip for our anniversary. Staff were so lovely and helpful and the calamari entre was absolutely delicious. The mains were so tasty I felt bad being unable to finish, but the serving sizes were so generous I simply couldn't!

Don't be fooled by the location of this pub. Great beers, great food and an Irish feel to the pub. Definitely on my revisit asap list.

Had a lovely well priced lunch here today with four friends.. seafood chowder was delicious, staff were attentive and very polite, especially the young man behind bar .. who it turns out was Manager .. we will be back

They were packed and still managed to find us a spot. I had the chowder. Brilliant flavour. Service was friendly.

Nice place for a Parma and some beers we've been there sometimes now. It's a good pub. And dog friendly!

2nd visit this holiday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We had Guinness&beef pie, & Irish Parma which were so delicious! Atmosphere fab. Everyone passing by moved, danced or sang to the music. Great variety of traditional & modern tunes. We will definitely be back.

Great Irish pub, great atmosphere and great food.

Love this place, food is good and a good selection of drinks. The only thing I find is that it always looks closed as there is not seating outside anymore.
