The best Amex network lounge in Australia. Most are pretty shabby but this one is nice and the staff are super friendly.

We always come to the Centurion Lounge when we fly internationally out of Melbourne. It’s a lovely quiet space and the staff are incredible. Would be nice to have a bit more food options but overall it’s a fabulous lounge!

It is a lovely lounge compared to Qantas's first lounge. AMEX wins every time for a variety of great reasons. Hopefully, there will eventually be an upgrade to the premises, with views to the runway. One can wish for a larger space, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. The secured area for Amex Centurion is admirable! Not crowded at all. Ticks the boxes for high speed internet.

Lovely staff who were very accommodating to my family (including baby and dad on crutches!). Complimentary panna cotta for Valentine’s Day made it even sweeter!

A nice lounge option in Tullamarine Airport with separate dining and lounging area. There are few individual cubicles where we can spend time waiting for the flight. Basic necessities like wifi, charging pod, and refreshment are available. The lounge itself is not too big and it is good for a short waiting period for the flight. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the check in process is easy. No fee apply for some American Express cardholders (find out in advance for your card is eligibility).

Very relaxing, very tidy, great food and amazing customer service 10/10 would highly recommend this to be your next rest spot before your flight.

The place is absolutely filthy. Tables are never cleaned, and when I helped myself to a bowl of miso soup, it was burnt to the point of being inedible. The sofas were full of food crumbs and leftover scraps. When I opened the table charger, it was horrifying—completely packed with food debris. I ordered a lemon lime bitters, and the glass was sticky and unclean. This lounge used to be good, but with this level of quality, I’m seriously reconsidering whether I’ll renew my $1400 membership.

Likely the worst Centurion Lounge I have visited. Greeted stating they could only take two of our party. Two of us had access so two went in and two waited. Upon entering, the first group let us know there was plenty of space and the wait was unnecessary. The second group waited five minutes and it was evident that there indeed was plenty of space the whole time. Limited no alcoholic beverages with most options on their soda fountain out of service. Food options were fine, nothing special, but still good pre-flight food. After a little while, two of us left to check out the Plaze Lounge, available through Priority Pass. There were less than ten people in the lounge when we arrived and they were serving the exact same food (they share staff and toilets). The only difference between the two I suppose is spirits were at a cost in the Plaza Lounge. If in Melbourne, both lounges will provide similar levels of service.

The receptionist at the front desk was really nice and she made us feel very welcomed. The food selection is fairly limited and after 9 AM it runs out of food and the trays were empty. although I would say the baked beans were quite delicious.

Barely better than the basic priority pass lounges. I would definitely not pay to bring in a guest. However, they confirmed you can still bring in 2 guests for free with amex platinum, which deviates from the new global policy that it's $50 per guest

For some reason, few of the reviews here compare this 'Centurion Lounge' to the Centurion Lounges overseas. Rather, they just rate the lounge on its own merit without consideration that there is and should be a high expectation when it's under the Centurion brand. The overseas lounges have a fantastic reputation and some are famous for their bars. That the two Centurion Lounges in Australia are a pale shadow of those overseas reflects badly on the Centurion brand and on AMEX in Australia. It really is a token effort at best. I don't know why, but Australians just don't seem to be deserving of the same level of Centurion Lounge as those overseas, particularly in the USA. They get away with it in Melbourne because many of the guests don't know what a real Centurion Lounge is. If they were in the USA it wouldn't be acceptable.

The food and atmosphere was ok but the staff are amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable time.

Here for an early flight. Have used the Sydney Lounge many times but first time here in the Melbourne Lounge. Was the first one in as family. Lounge is cozy but look tired. Surprised they rebrand as Centurion bit probably doesn’t live up to its centurion brand Breakfast was ok, nothing to shout about. Lounge is clean but would like to call out that washroom is not up to standard considering we were there at 6am, the time the lounge open. Need to definitely review their clean procedures and cleaning contractor. Overall a little disappointed considering the new Sydney lounge is so much better.

Think people need to manage their own expectations. It’s an airport lounge not some restaurant - food was good ! Hot and plenty available. Bacon + eggs + snags + pancakes + fruits + yogurts + cheese - barista made coffee + tea . Plenty of booze and soft drinks as well Good service. Cleaned tables almost instantly and plenty of smiles People expect a bloody sun roof or a sign from god that it’s instagramable lounge but it’s a simple and very efficient lounge 4 stars is accurate it does not elevate itself into a 4.5 and beyond which is elite Not exactly child friendly but we managed with our 2 kids 5 + 2

Just visited the lounge today and I was disappointed. 4 people share the view that the food was dry and not refreshed often enough. CAKE VERY DRY. Some of the hot food was hardly even warm. The disappointing thing was the decor seemed old and in need of a refurbished. Thr alarming thing was the men's toilet was filthy. For a private airport lounge for the cleanliss of the toilets was just shocking and needs attending to urgently. Drinks where excellent , coffee nice n hot . Overall experience was very underwhelming.

The choice of food was limited (although it was 7am). If there was a menu of other items this was not offered to me. The service was exemplary during the stay and the coffee was of a high standard The atmosphere was neutral which is OK but the music being played was too loud. It should more likely be background music only, whereas it felt overpowering and intrusive. Overall a pleasant way to wait for boarding as distinct from sitting in uncomfortable chairs or paying for overpriced foods. I saw value in the availability of the lounge and see it as a value add to holding an AMEX card

The American Express lounge was such a nice place to relax before our flight. The variety and quality of food, snacks and drinks were better than I expected. Definitely a worth a visit if you have time.

Why spend that much in creating a lounge if you are going to have some untrained grumpy staff? Qantas lounge staff in comparison are so friendly and helpful, the experience feels premium. Only platinum cards can access this lounge and the yearly fee is not cheap. I am sure that the rent American Express pays isn’t cheap either for that space, but the wine and food are far from premium. Another example of half baked corporate attempt to crate a service that could be really pleasant and a great experience made less than average by cutting cost on produce and recruitment / training.

My partner and I had the best time before our flight. It was honestly such a highlight and such a nice way to relax before flying! Romy and Umang were absolutely great, had the best customer service and made the tastiest cocktails. Wish we had more than 2 passes a year because we would go every time we fly if we could! Thanks Romy & Umang!

This one is managed by Plaza Premium just beside it. Food & drinks are almost identical & toilets are shared.

Lounge very ordinary. Chef should be ashamed- for breakfast canned peaches, crudely cut melon, and nothing cooked or even warmed. Pancake machine non functional. And service sullen. Should have had breakfast at home, and lounged there a little longer.
