I like to shop here because its only minutes to walk. They have lot of offers and kid-friendly staff.

Disappointing experience - bought packaged underwear for elderly mother the night before and realised wrong size. Told less than 1 day later when wanting to exchange for the correct size of the unopened pack that new policy doesn't allow their return. Staff was rude and not helpful. When did Big W disclose new policy to their customers....never! I told her that this wasn't a change of mind just an exchange for the right size! Funnily Big W website hasn't been updated yet with update to their policy and exchange was finally made. Won't be shopping at Big W again.

Lots of choices for a small department store.

Friendly staff, good range. has the usual range of goods for whatever the upcoming holidays/events. Store stock levels are good.

It was hard for me to give it 3 stars, I guess I feel sorry for the place 😐 It's like a ghost town when needing help. it's likely to see Tumble weed rolling around the store before helping staff. This place, over the years, has been getting less and less stock in besides finding something you might need from there. Besides that, it's just more of a place to kill time if you need to lol

Staff are always nice.

Big floorplan with lots of variety, the place always has what you need and at a good price. Shoutout to the tech counter staff who are always friendly and very helpful

I visited Big W in Altona Meadows to buy a phone as a New Year’s gift for my mother-in-law. I wanted some advice and to check the details on the box. The first staff member I spoke with, a heavier-set man with no hair, was a bit rude and made me feel uncomfortable. He also kept me waiting too long before allowing me to look at the box. Fortunately, a younger staff member stepped in and provided much better assistance. Thank you to the younger team member for helping me out.

It's a small Big W but I like it as we get a lot of things quickly that I need.

Genuinely the friendliest staff of the whole shopping centre.

The variety is acceptable, however, the need for an upgraded shopping centre is evident.

Had to stop in on my way home from work tonight. After a long day I couldn't find a some items I needed before the weekend. A friendly staff member by the name of Julie passed by and must have sensed my desperation. Not only did she offer assistance in finding the items, she went above and beyond, helping me carry some large items to the register when my hands were full and even assisting with the self checkout. A+ for customer service. Thank you Julie, and Big W Altona Meadows.

Placed a click and direct to boot order. Went down at 1225, clicking all required buttons. On my way, I've arrived and bay no 1. 29 mins later, after trying to contact the store using the phone number on the attached message, there was no answer, it was never going to be answered as it was the Kumon education centre number. Used the two 1300 numbers that turn out to be Dot the big w virtual helper. Don't use those numbers she only works Mon-Fri 1000am to 4pm. Good hours. Not if you have an issue because there is no other number online to be able to contact this store. Anywhoo, I went instore made a very polite complaint to Lucas, who at the time was very empathetic. This guy came to my car, no bags in hand, we are now at 45 minutes, when I was asked if I had clicked my arrival, showing him my phone that I had done what a 2 year old could have done. He went to explain what had happened, stopping him from explaining a system that had failed I just said yep your system didn't work, get my parcel. Only took 53 minutes to get my order. Not good enough fix your system. Have the staff carry a duty click and collect business phone so they can be contacted. We customers choose the offered direct to the boot option because we don't want to come in store. I should be compensated for the poor Big W systems failure.

My mum shopped for 2 hour and she went to pay and Power outage now she could not pay two days before Christmas no other shops went down there generator didn't work , the most unprofessional people working there at the front can't do shit

This is a fantastic shopping centre. I would really recommend it.

Staff are very helpful and friendly, thankyou.

They have men, women, children and babies apparel sections, bath items, toys, party needs, costumes for different age groups, seasonal decors, mobile/gadgets accessories, travel and camping needs, kitchenwares, stationery items, pet supplies, bikes for adults and kids. It's like a one stop shop.

Big W at Altona Meadows has everything, from clothes to electronics to toys to home stuff. The prices are pretty sweet too. They also offer a bunch of services, like building your bike for you, picking up your stuff from your car boot, and putting stuff on layby in the store. They're open late on Thursdays and Fridays, so you can go shopping even if you're a night owl. The only downside is that sometimes they don't have enough of certain things and some of the staff can be a bit busy, but they're usually friendly. Overall, it's a good place to go for your everyday shopping.

Customer service in this shop needs to be worked on 13 minutes to wait for a manager because I had an issue with your price tags so many employees standing around chit chatting and not doing their job not the first time I've had bad issues with this store

Contactless click and collect order marked as collected before I even arrived. No way of contacting anyone without going in store. Disgrace that the store can’t be contacted by phone.

Place has ample parking space and great collection

Placed click n collect order for dry dog food which I know is in stock. Two days later still nothing. Has to be worst store in Australia

My experience of this store is always great. After speaking to store manager i think its Karla , i was sure that i am in great shopping environment. And there is manager name Lesley , who is always eager to help and gives best advice and customer service. Thanks guys you are doing a great job.

Had the most disgusting service at Altona Meadows Big W checkout. No longer is this store remotely interested in providing a service to the public. Full blame to management. Disgusted.

Huge shop, fine quality products and sometimes with good discount.

If you like good customer service and a nice easy going shopping experience make sure to stay away from this store. Managers have no people skills and speak down to you like you're a criminal. I don't understand why the employee's are working in customer service when they obviously HATE their job. Overall its a horrible experience shopping here and I'll never shop here again. Kmart here we come!

I'm not really into Big W compared to KMart, however I did enjoy walking through this store and finding a few bargains. Just not my store, I guess.

⭐ True review. You know if you rate low your review will never been seen by public. I hate BIGW ALTONA MEADOWS because they sold me a faulty mobile phone and never exchanged or refunded. Bigw said phone is fine and can't find nothing wrong with it. So now I have a $200 paper weight. DON'T SHOP AT BIGW.

Love shopping for sales before work

Excellent service went in for a huge 60th birthday balloon filled with helium for my mum and got exactly what I wanted. They also have a surprisingly good selection of cards for all occasions and are well priced.

No one at the Service desk, with a sign saying to go to the Technology & Audio department. They picked the wrong 2 click & collect orders that I placed online.

Fantastically helpful staff that are always happy :) Tech department staff are fantastic The greeter was very welcoming

Good selection of items on offer. Set out logically. Plenty of basic casual leisurewear, sleepwear, underwear and footwear for the whole family. Basic electrical and homewares. Some snack foods. Very helpful staff. Popular books at cheaper prices than specialist book stores. Beauty items, toys and pet products. Quiet on a Saturday afternoon.

It's not a big store but it's easy in and out.

Had hardly any stock. No make-up at all.

So I don’t normally leave reviews but the customer service I endured today by the lovely Debbie Pool at Altona meadows Big W was extremely helpful and delightful to deal with. I could not help but lave feedback. Big W should be proud to have you GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Debbie if you see my review just know you are absolutely amazing.

Fabulous store plenty of products with mostly everything always in stock. Staff are so welcoming and friendly ☺️

The customer service is appalling i went today , bought some stuff and left two items behind i forget them ( my kids were distracting me) i went back after 5 minutes they were closed but there was employees inside , I knocked on the door and I said please can I have the things that I left over she saw them and she goes sorry I can't open the door I'm like why she goes we just can't open them it's closed so can you please do something about it how can you get out of the door? The door she's like I'll call someone and I'll see this rude old lady that has white hair. I wish I had her name goes to We're not allowed to open the door and we're not gonna give you the stuff you can come tomorrow I'm like I'm literally half an hour I'm not gonna come for two things she's like well sorry we can't do anything about it the alarms will go off if we open the door , I'm like then, how are you gonna get out if you cant up with the door , Then she repeatedly said we can't give you the stuff come tomorrow. She would've easily just handed me the two stuff from the door Wanted to make my life harder bcz shes racist

Staff were very helpful. They had all the kids books we were looking for. All went well.

Dont try to call the store, you get Dot the Digital Assistant and it is useless. and hangs up on you regardless of what you want
