This place is awesome to stay at at a great price. Newly renovated rooms, we stayed for 2 nights and would have stayed 3, but they were booked out. King bedroom was the cheapest. Bistro meals and service were amazing. Central for day trips. I would book 3-4 nights next time.

Understand there’s policies behind it but being asked 4 times for ID while already holding a drink or playing the games is ridiculous. Like atleast ask your co workers if you have already ID someone. The workers are also quite rude when pointing how frustrating it is that they keep checking.

Stayed a night for a family function the next day and had a wonderful time there at the adjoining pub and slept like a baby at bed time. The shower had no hot water but that's the only problem highly recommend

Had a meal with my family tonight and I was so disappointed my son could not eat his flathead fillets as they were so overcooked and tasted awful, my meal the mont mega schnitzel supposed to be 500g would have been lucky to be 300g , the seafood topper that I got was 3 cocktail prawns in garlic sauce for ten dollars and the schnitzel was tough ,I didn't finish my meal. My partners chicken schnitzel was also very ordinary but she was hungry so she finished most of her meal . I can honestly say that we won't be eating here again, it really has gone down hill as far as meals are concerned and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants good food.

Worst pub meal I've ever had. Went here a 6 months ago and the food and service was great but came back tonight to be very disappointed. Had a birthday dinner with bad service, they messed up 2 of 3 drink orders and the food was crap. The schnitzel was palm size, the trevalla was as chewy as a badly cooked steak and taste like the wharf smells, and the seafood sauce only had 3 tiny prawns in it. Definitely won't be returning, especially for the price of it all.

A stubby was $8:60 and now $9... The Granada sells them for $7 what's going on...and what's going on with the pokies...the jackpots mysteriously reset themselves and are automatically high again....a call to the gaming commition will sort it out....and slot machines always reserved and never played....the Granada tavern is 2km down the road with cheaper prices and better pokies....

We had scallops and chips 🍟 with salad and great friendly service in good time 🌃 couple beers 🍻 yummy 😋

Edit: We had to stop half way home so my partner could vomit! We will definitely be reporting this restaurant to the health department! We spent $74 on a Mega Mixed Grill, Seafood Basket & Mushroom Gravy, firstly we waited well over an hour for food to come out and when we finally received our food my partner ate 1 very off chicken wing that had a disgusting smell to them, everyone around our table smelt the rest of them and agreed even the waitress smelt it and screwed her face up and took it to the kitchen but the chef was adamant nothing was wrong with them, refund was offered on the wings only how ridiculous, my partner couldn’t even finish his food due to feeling sick and disgusted, not to mention the steak was that chewy you couldn’t swallow it. We will never be coming back! How disappointing.

Was surprised to see the seniors garlic bread has been reduced to one small slice for $3.00 what a rip off I don't think I will be visiting the Mont again anytime soon so dissappointing, and the menu is very limited

Just had a meal there the steak was so tough couldn't eat it scared I was going too break my teeth.....never going back there.

Friendly staff, room is very clean and, while a little small, is well set-out. Bathroom is tiny, but well-stocked, all you need is your toothbrush! Good selection on the menu, and very busy on the night. Roast pork and veges very nice, and chicken schnitzel juicy and delicious. Not overcooked: a lot of places do... Comfy bed, and very quiet, most welcome after a long day in town and driving. Hope to come back next time we are in Hobart.

Thank you for the awesome Christmas lunch! We were visiting from interstate & opted for an easy Christmas lunch out & I’ll admit my expectations were fairly low. To our absolute delight, we were served the most delicious 3 course meals that would leave most fancy restaurants for dead. The food was fresh, served promptly & plated with obvious pride. I can’t only imagine how many tables you served that day which is a testament to your kitchen & wait staff that the quality of the meal & the service they provided was top shelf, as well as never feeling rushed so they could all go home to their families! Well done & thank you again for a fabulous Christmas 🥰

The room is perfect. Absolutely spotless with a very comfortable mattress. We have just enjoyed a 3 course senior meal for $21 each and we couldn't fault it. The staff are friendly and efficient. I would 100% recommend the Mont.

We can only recommend to stay at the Claremont Hotel, the rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The Team is super friendly and helpful all the way. We also enjoyed some dinner at the mont which was excellent. We stayed about 4 nights and had a great time! Thanks for having us, looking forward to returning sometime.

Always busy but always find us a spot! And I can see why they are always busy, the meals are amazing! Always fresh and fast to come out even with a full house. Staff are very friendly and efficient in taking our order and getting our drinks. Wide variety of options with GF and Ceoliac options which to me is vital and the place is always clean and organised. Fast becoming a regular, highly recommend.

We had a great experience, The lady who checked me in was so nice and explained everything to me upon the check in. If you want to eat at the restaurant of a weekend I recommend booking in advance, They get busy :). Room was spotless. House keeping was lovely. Would definitely book again!.

Well they have so many vegetarian options which is a very good for me. I loved the way present the food and also the lounge was clean and properly arranged. Food was perfect and service was top class.

Had a steak and pavlova for dessert in the bar area. Meal was faultless. Very nice! Big portions.

We had dinner at the mont hotel and truthfully it's the best in the area. Meals are a good size, and they have a very friendly, very relaxed dining and bistro area. We kept going back because the staff were friendly and the food was so good. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. We will be coming back here again on our next trip. Just one tip of advice, please book a table because they are so popular.

Beautiful meal, I had Pork Belly tender and crackling was crunchy. Table service, staff very friendly and accommodating. Great Seniors menu I have ever seen. Took 40 minutes for someone to come over and take our orders (had to ask for someone) My parmi was barely warm and took almost an hour for the mains. Desserts took another 30 minutes, my apple crumble had rhubarb in it (not what it said on the menu) very dissapointed, won't be back after this experience

We ate in the Mont last week, and the food we had was great. The staff were wonderful. However, we ate in the restaurant today, and I was so disappointed in the meal. I had a BBQ chicken parmigiana, and the BBQ sauce on the chicken was disgusting. It was so sugary, and sweet, I almost vomited. It tasted like the normal bottle BBQ sauce you get from Coles or Woolworths. So disappointing, when you're wanting to go out for a nice meal. The staff were still helpful though.

It's a dirty (in a good way) and traditional pub feed, reasonably priced good sized meals basically you can't complain. don't get me started about the servis was served by a bubbly girl, Jess I think her name was and she was happy, enthusiast and passionate also ready to help when needed... we don't get enough of those people these days. Do your self a favour and take a trip to the mont

NOT a good experience unfortunately, we all ordered our meals the first meals to come out was for the grandchildren and my granddaughters steak was like the sole of my shoe tuff as. Then my meal was apparently sent to the wrong table leaving me watching the rest of the family eat their meals. In saying that my stepdaughter had almost finished her meal before her gravy was delivered. Needless to say I requested a refund for my meal. Very poor service, won't be back.

came here with my best friend last sunday to have lunch for his birthday. we got a scotch fillet done rare with beer battered chips.. and I give it an 11 out of 10, beautiful steaks 🥩 and staff was very friendly 👍 100% recommend

went for a meal with family and mine was a TOTAL disappointment!!, had the steak sandwich and chips, everything was lukewarm at best, on ordering they asked if i wanted runny or hard eggs, i went with runny, when it arrived the egg was hard as a rock, not going back!!!!
