Food choices were great. Food was tasty and portions just right Good parking facilities Acoustics were a little loud. The other dining area is better for older people.

This has never ever happened to me. We had ordered our meal and it included entree and main, the entree was served up and in less than a minute they tried to serve us the main. Realising their mistake, it was taken away. From where I was sitting I could see them put the meal under the heat lamps, then it was removed from there out of sight. After we had finished entree, they re served us the same meal. Not as hot (except on top) and nothing changed. I wonder if I had it wrong, but my dinner partner said as much. Further to that we were charged full price (not seniors) VERY DISAPPOINTED Totally unacceptable, possibly against the law due to food handling and serving.

Food was drowning in oil. Had a pool under my fish and chips. Playground is old and run down and just filthy.

The food was lovely at the Dava Hotel. But what absolutely stood out for our group and will ensure we share with others and be return guests was the service and beautiful attitude of all service staff. It was a stand out! Simply put, the staff cared. They looked you in the eye they made us feel so very welcome. This is true customer service. Alot of establishments could learn from the Dava Hotel team. Thank you.

Excellent food and service. The atmosphere is great with a roof top seating option overlooking the ocean. Highly recommended if your looking for good value food in the area.

Really nice place to go for a meal however there is one place they can improve and that is the section where the wooden floor is ,it's so noisy because of the echoes.

Great prices on the senior meals, my 97 year old mum put me on to The Dava ,had gone there years ago much improved 👍

We loved our experience here. The pumpkin soup was outstanding. Great flavour with just the right amount of heat. The accompanying bread was nice too. My roast lamb was faultless. Perfect amount of meat and veggies perfectly cooked with a lovely gravy. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her osso bucco ravioli too. The service from the young servers was terrific too. Efficient and polite. We loved not having to wait around forever too. The soup was brought out quickly and we were asked if we were ready for our mains. We thought the meal prices were most reasonable too. I’m not sure what the story is with some of the negative reviews here. This is a classic Aussie pub experience and a very good one.

My family visited the hotel for dinner and to attend a QuizzaMe event. It was a very enjoyable evening.

Went a month or so ago to the top deck. Ordered through the QR code and then after 45 minutes was told all our food was on the counter. All 5 of us had lukewarm at best food. Went back last night as I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were having a bad day the previous visit. This time we waited an hour for our food, same process through the QR code, was told our food was on the counter whilst they were bringing food out to others. Chips were that cold they were inedible and on top of that they missed one of our dishes. We waited another 20 minutes so in total almost an hour and a half to be told sorry we are busy downstairs. Won’t be going back in a hurry at all, a lot of others were having the same issue.

Good destination for a short road trip to the beach

Really great Pub for families and kids. Food always good, nice and open floor plan, playground for the kids and drawing packs to buy. Friendly staff, can’t fault it really!

Bring back the Lemon Merrigue cake. Don’t know why it’s off the menu, it was so popular. Get better chefs, food is very standard and prices are too high for quality of food.

The punter near me finished his $32 wagyu burger and some of his wife's fish and chips. He agreed, not worth it. They're only open because of the view. Staff couldn't be bothered giving me any local knowledge, let alone a smile with my beer. Won't bother returning....

The food was really good.

Servings aren’t worth what you pay for, after spending $49 on a meal still left feeling a bit hungry. Portions aren’t consistent, they're different every time you go, this time the other diner I was with had barely veggies and awful cuts of meat, I understand meat has inedible cuts but this serve was mainly fat and sinew.

Great place outside on a sunny day but needs more umbrellas, the ones in place have obviously been there forever and need replacement. Meals are excellent but the salads could do with a bit of dressing or at least an option for some dressing.

I’m very picky when it comes to pubs as I frequent them often and myself and my family absolutely love this place! The foods always good, indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids. Seating all near the kids area.

Four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals

Some months back we visited and I happily wrote a review saying “super Parma” what has happened since then disappointed all 3 of us Saturday night. Two Hawaiian parmas were like cardboard and neither could finish, and the third meal was a schnitzel, if not for a side of gravy it too would have been a struggle. You have seriously dropped the ball and what grinds people the most…. One meal out first and many minutes pass before meal 2 and 3. It’s just so poor and basic 101. A $21 Debortli pinot noir was $57 and the line 10 deep with staff being slammed. Wont return sorry I gave the staff 5 stars because they are amazing and spend their night apologising.

Great place for a quick eat with the kids & grandkids. Great food ready quickly. Reasonable selection of wines and beers.

Brought the kids, so good for that, but food took a while and while the food was nice, I'm not sure the value is right.

Loved sitting out on the deck enjoying a delicious meal, cauliflower soup & a yummy Parma, overlooking the tranquility of the bay. We enjoyed an unusually winter warmth on this sunny Sunday. We will be back. The staff were so friendly & delightful to deal with.

Wonderful feel Hotel ,Bistro. As per usual I found the place to be at a Quality level. The food was well prepared and of Chef standard.

We went to The Dava Hotel for lunch today. We arrived about 12.30pm and ordered by 1.15pm. Our order obviously got lost somehow - tables of people who arrived after we had ordered, received their meals well before us. We queried when we could expect the meals to be told they won't be long. 2.30 the meals arrived. We realise the dining room was busy, but on a Sunday I'm sure that would be a fairly regular occurrence. Another customer who also complained was told - 'well this isn't a fast food restaurant' - he got his money back and left. The food was good - but it would have been nice if we were told that as it was very busy the meals could be quite a while. Certainly won't be going back in a hurry or recommending the hotel to others.

What a fantastic place for a feed with the family. Great kids meals, fresh ingredients, meals out quickly. Really happy and would highly recommend.

This place is a disgrace food is basic for top price most of the young staff are pleasant this one older think she is head of staff dark frizzy shoulder hair is absolute disgrace to the place with a bad attitude , rude and needs to take a good look at her self the way she treats people going in to that place, we won’t be back because of her!

Thank you so much to the Dava Hotel for being a wonderful venue for our son's 4th birthday. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from booking the event to their service on the day! It's so difficult to host a Winter birthday that doesn't cost a fortune and the fact we could book a large space, free of charge that also entertained the kids was perfect! Made for a great day for the adults as well because we were able to chat easily and enjoy a meal - highly recommend and look forward to another visit :)

Busy night on Saturday, had an ABBA band playing and they were fantastic.

The ABBA concert on the 29th of June, 2024 was the best night. Can’t wait to see more concerts/bands at the Dava. My friends & I WILL be there. Well done Dava ❤️

Beer was cold, Palmer was goood & Steak was tender and perfectly cooked..

Was a great atmosphere, great food, but service was 3 out of 4. Reason being, 3 of our meals came out & they ate 3/4 of their food before I got mine. Bit disorganised.

Great for a family meal.

New menu is very good. Reasonably priced, good family fare. Lots of new flavours and old favourites too. Steak was cooked to perfection. Starters were delicious….cheese pizza bread, prawn spring rolls, huge bowl of wedges. Burgers, pasta and chicken parmas were very good. Staff were super friendly and helpful…nothing was too much trouble. Very, very good!

Came for lunch with Our Torana Club -: Aussie Torana Legends Social Cruisers inc. we would in courage families and clubs to attend, it was a good place to attend highly recommend

Really good Chicken Parma in the sports bar. Came out really quick, juicy chicken and good portion size. Only constructive criticism would be that it needed more Marinara sauce. Great service, friendly staff.

I went to the Dava a few years ago and was not impressed. I heard it had changed hands and was now a great place to eat. I've been 4 times in the past 4 months and I can't believe the change. Really nice venue, excellent staff and top class food. This is a good example of how to turn a business around.

Was visiting family first time in the Peninsula area.We went here as a family and loved it ...great meal. Returned a few nights later,and sad to say extremely disappointed.We ordered the crab and mussel chowder.The atmosphere here was lovely,nice glass of wine...great service. Then the chowder arrived. A complete disaster.Milky,runny,mixed veg and hardly any seafood. So disappointed. Maybe a new chef would be a good recommendation for this place. I did complain,but not to want money back etc but to offer feedback. You really need to do better.

We had dinner at the Dava last night and 3 of us ordered the lamb biryani from the specials menu. They were pathetic! They were entree sized and we each got 3 pieces of dried lamb, there were a couple of bits of carrot and maybe two bits of corn. A total rip off for $27.

Amazing meals friendly staff....... HAHAHA *UPDATE.... DO NOT EAT AT THE DAVA HOTEL!!! Something has changed since I posted last review the food is now border line dog food and the staff has been changed the new guy who served me for lunch completely stuff our x3 chicken Parma with veg and gravy meals which arrived wrong when brought to our table. His attitude also was disgusting and seemed to not want to serve us like we were intruding on his day! DO NOT EAT AT THE DAVA!!!!!
