Food was average but service was shocking. Just a bunch of teenagers standing behind the bar chatting. Restaurant was empty but had to wait for ages to be served. Parma was good though, heaps of chips.

I came here with a date and as soon as we walked in the door the guy at the bar told us they're closed, go elsewhere. Very disappointing as I choose this place specifically because I had had a good time previously and it lists them as open until 4am. It was around 9pm when we arrived! I suggest you update your hours and close the door if you're shut for business!

Nicholas is an absolute gem. Honestly would not have stayed if he didn't serve us. He knows his cocktails and his beers. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly, seemed good for a chat at the right time. We used to come here years ago and our experience with Nicholas would make us come back every single time we're in town. Glorious moustache.

What’s the point of booking and reconfirming if they give your table away? Over an hour wait for food with no warning. Refund process was unnecessarily difficult, with the manager dragging it out and even demanding an apology from my husband for expressing frustration. Unprofessional and poor service from the manager (the guy who was looking after our table was nice and did try to help it was when we wanted a refund and the manager took over it escalated unnecessarily) If you want to eat before an event, I would look at going else where time is not a factor to these people. Also ignoring someone who is trying to explain who I spoke to on the phone so you can give them feedback is rude and totally unprofessional!!

Went on their parma night. Chips really good, the seasoning was good. Atmosphere was good, very ambient. Food came quickly depsite it being busy. However they did only have 2 wait staff on, and it was very busy. We requested sauce 3x and didn't get it. Parma was small, bit dry and disappointing. In the pictures it looks like it comes with a side salad which is why we chose this place, but it actually cost extra for salad. On balance, wouldn't come again.

Richmond social was the chosen venue for dinner with a friend. Said friend and my husband had both been on multiple occasions but it was my first time and I must say I was most impressed with the venue fit out. It may be a pub but it’s not of the dodgy variety you may find elsewhere in the surrounding suburbs. I chose the lemon pepper calamari but couldn’t resist the smashed avocado chips for an entree. Unfortunately I didn’t really think about the fact that my calamari had chips (hubby also had a parma which came with chips) so there was a bit of a potato overload on the table. Particularly given the chips to calamari ratio. Our friend chose a risotto and some arancini as an entree. Sadly the avo chips didn’t quite measure up. The avocado itself may have been mashed up hours before considering the shade of it and it wasn’t really working for me. In contrast, the chips served with our mains were stellar. Really sensational seasoning and easily the star of the plate. The calamari had flavour enough but if I had my time again I would have opted for the tacos

Good location however understaffed and Vego food not very good. Feel for the staff member who came in for a 6 hour shift and was still there 12 hours later!

Dined here for lunch before going to the Anzac day footy match at MCG. Disappointing all round, no staff, over an hour wait for food, no cocktails. Food & drinks are overpriced & quality underwhelming then add on the public holiday surcharges. I had the pulled pork tacos that were flavourless. Do not recommend & will not return.

We booked a table in the beer garden to watch the ANZAC Day game, the table was taken by other people, staff made no effort to kick them off. The TV then shut down and staff advised they “don’t have a license” to screen it even though all other TV’s were operating as normal. Staff also looked miserable and couldn’t make basic cocktails due to alcohol shortages.

Put some staff on Anzac Day and only 2 bar staff ridiculous

went for dinner before footy, main meal came out first and finished before kids meal arrived no apologies or care, main meal was a parma and pretty ordinary but edible. kids meal was fish and chips fish smelt like absolute 🤢 my son didn't eat it, complained to bar staff and just got a blank look. will not return ill take my business elsewhere.

Nice space for Lil to large gatherings and team parties, good seating arrangements, and nice renovations. The food was good and reasonably priced. Will visit again...

RODENT INFESTATION I had a rather unsettling experience at Richmond Social. While the food was decent, the ambiance was ruined by the unwelcome company of three mice running around and even joining us on the lounge. When I showed the staff photos and videos of the issue, their response was dismissive, with a laugh and a comment about the mice now making themselves comfortable on the lounge - they didn't care less. It was their attitude that prompted me to write this review, not the mice running around. Not the kind of dining experience I expected.

Great venue. Terrible food. No atmosphere.

Have only been in the Pokies section which is always bright, welcoming, spacious and surprisingly spotless including the Female toilets. There is an outdoor smoking area that is enclosed and covered for all weather that has a table and 4 x stools located at the back with plenty of fresh air. The staff are pretty good, they remember faces, if you want to chat they’ll have a chat, if you don’t they’re cool with that too. If you don’t deal well with pubs, drunks or loud people, then this will be a pleasant surprise as they won’t tolerate bad behaviour and have full time security. They make great coffees, the water comes through a filter tap and they’ll do their best to accommodate anything else. My only complaint is that the occasional male decides that he either doesn’t want to or can’t wait for a cubicle in the men’s toilets to be vacated and so uses the Females and despite their whole lives peeing the same way, they still can’t aim getting pee on the floor and the seat without cleaning up after themselves. Fortunately, as this is a fairly quiet place that is checked and cleaned regularly , there isn’t a build up or any gross smells. If you’re looking for somewhere thats quiet, safe, friendly and not intimidating, then this is the place.

Very disappointed at my recent experience here. To put it bluntly, the customer service was appalling. At the end of the night, a mouse was running around the restaurant. While I can understand this can happen, the staffs response to this was very disappointing. When the mouse was pointed out to the staff, we were met with a woman in a very condescending tone say “there are lots of mice and rats in Richmond… we can’t do anything about it.” We live in Richmond and I can confidently say that any restaurant I have dined in, has not had vermin running around. I had a friend with me who has a genuine phobia of mice and she was understandably upset by this. There was no acknowledgement what so ever that having a mouse openly running around a restaurant, could be an issue for some people. All of the staff also spent the majority of the evening standing around together laughing and our tables were not cleared for quite some time. The man serving me at the bar did not know how to make a lemon lime bitters, nor did he know what Pinot Gris was. Definitely won’t be back.

$17.46 for a pint of balters. Take that as you will.

The tacos are tasteless! Pizza was too doughy to be appreciated. Service was terrible, we grabbed menus and then went to order and was told the kitchen was closed...so then why did you not tell us when we picked up the menus? When we got to order it was terrible

I thought it was worth trying the Richmond social for a pub meal. Bunch of loud people there watching the cricket and cheering, fair enough. The chicken Parma is alright, cheesey enough, tasty enough. And some fine standard beers on tap 🍗🍅🧀🥗🍺

18 November. Staff party. Not enough staff. Took 40 minutes to get a drink? Food horrible. Like it was from NQR - heated up and flung on tables.

Short staffed. Couldn't get a cocktail. My food was so disappointing. Just a plain no taste meal.

Well air conditioned. Delivered my milk to my table. The milk was pretty good. Recommend this place.

Would not recommend having a work function at this location, while the venue it self is nice.....for 200 ppl we only had 2 staff serving at the bar and just to get a soft drink, I had to wait 45min.....disappointed to say the least

The place is really nice but the Parma that I ordered was on the smaller side compared to many other places and tasted pretty average, not much cheese. It also took very long to get our food.

Korean fried chicken burger is worth visiting for!

When here on one of the most epic nights of the year. The crowd was young but civilised, Rowdy but passionate. Loved the space & the outdoor area. Definitely worth coming back on a normal night next time.

Two people on service at lunchtime, one of them behind the bar and the other one frantically serving food. Difficult to ask for our booking when we needed to line up to order at the bar to even ask which table was ours. The food is pretty bland and it takes a while to cook. We were a table of six and our orders all came out at different times, even though we ordered together. One questions where the salt was, because it wasn't in the food or on the table. The ginger beer is nice. The floor is so sticky I nearly had to surrender my shoes to it. I probably wouldn't go back.

The food was average, and the service was super slow. Charged us extra for a dish we ordered and delivered something completely different. When asked to change it back to the original paid for meal the waiter simply told me that it might take up 30 minutes or more and it's better for me to eat the dish that I didn't order.

The Richmond social is a very visualisey pleasing venue with a good atmosphere and music, but that's where it all stops. The Parma here was appalling, the chicken tasted funny the param as a whole was under baked. It was honestly the worst Parma I have ever eaten. The staff where very untrained(To be fair they could be new). The chef needs to rework his parma.

It's a pub. It has pokies (not that that's a bonus). I don't know what the food is like but I was charged $19 for a very ordinary glass of white wine. And they didn't even look embarrassed.

Patrons very intimidating and scary - got told off for asking a gentlemen to put his cigarette in the bin like a normal person. Won’t be going back. Wish anyone there luck with their encounters with the “locals” who clearly aren’t local.
