Our Reconciliation Action Plan

Woolworths Group acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the Lands and pays respect to Elders past and present. As one of Australia’s largest retailers, we have the privilege of serving thousands of communities and millions of people across rural, remote, and metro areas. Representing the communities we serve, Woolworths Group has a unique opportunity to make positive and tangible changes to the lives of all Australians, including First Nations peoples.

Our RAP leverages our organizational strengths, believing that our actions will contribute meaningfully to reconciliation and Closing the Gap within Australia.

Guided by our values of ‘we care deeply’, ‘we listen and learn’, and ‘we do the right thing’, our RAP aligns with Woolworths Group’s purpose of creating better experiences for a better tomorrow. Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia where First Nations peoples have equitable access to the essential products, services, and opportunities they need to truly thrive.

Woolworths Group’s First Nations Employment Roadmap

As one of Australia’s largest private employers and a significant employer of Indigenous peoples, we are uniquely positioned to attract diverse talent and provide meaningful career opportunities. Employment is a key focus of our RAP, with a roadmap emphasizing the hiring, retention, and career growth of First Nations team members.

Our strategy sets specific employment targets, aiming to incrementally increase and retain First Nations representation across the Group to at least 3.2 percent by 2025. To drive this roadmap forward, Cassandra Tratt, a proud Ugarapul woman, joined Woolworths Group in May 2022 as Indigenous Employment and Team Experience Lead.

First Nations Advisory Board

The Woolworths Group First Nations Advisory Board, formed in August 2021, comprises eight members with 75 percent First Nations representation. The Board includes Woolworths Group team members, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, and external Indigenous business leaders. The Board provides guidance on our reconciliation actions and advises on matters related to Indigenous Affairs within Woolworths Group and with Indigenous communities.

Supporting First Nations Communities

Woolworths Group’s wholesale business, AGW, has partnered with Community Enterprise Queensland (CEQ) to provide essential goods and services to some of the most remote communities in the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) of Australia. CEQ, a leader in delivering quality retail and essential services within Indigenous communities, collaborates with AGW to assist remote store teams with retail training via coaching and mentoring, as well as online support from Woolworths Food Academy.

Over the course of our RAP, Woolworths Group and the AGW team aim to continue growing the CEQ partnership while establishing new partnerships supporting remote and vulnerable communities.

Partnerships for a Better Tomorrow

Woolworths Group is committed to investing in the growth and sustainability of the Indigenous business sector. We aim to support Indigenous businesses seeking opportunities across the Woolworths Group ecosystem. In 2022, we updated our Group’s Procurement Policy, clarifying the definition of an Indigenous supplier while providing greater flexibility in procurement processes to support spend with Indigenous suppliers. Our ambition is to build and work with our supplier base in a way that sustainably grows Indigenous businesses.

Bello

Great place to shop. Awesome staff. Not too big, not too small. Large range of various products. Fastest boot pick up I've experienced.

Good shopping always Never too busy

Has everything I need at short notice

Friendly staff and well stocked

I receive my online delivery from Seaford Woolworths regularly and it is always great. The product substitutions when required are always top-quality. Fruit and vegetables are possibly picked with more care than I would have done myself. I have never had missing items - in over three years! Once I received something I didn't order, one phone call and it was resolved. Today I received a lovely hand written note in my shopping from Angel at Seaford Meadows and it made my day!! Thank you. Your hard work, time and effort means so much to me - it gives me so much time. I appreciate it.

I am very disappointed with Seaford Meadows store, because every Monday I go there, sometimes early or later in the morning and I can never get a New Idea magazine. I have enquired at the checkout or front counter and I’ve been told that they are somewhere just not out on a magazine rack. 😱. I’ve been to Seaford Central and they always have them out on display, also Drakes and I’ve always got one.

Our favorite place to shop. Always clean and tidy which helps in finding what you need.

$7 for some mould

I love shopping at Seaford Meadows, it's not as busy as other local shops and everyone's very friendly

Everything was available in store. Staff gleeful too.

Today at you shop I nearly past out with a flare up because of fibromyalgia the young girl that was looking after the self service was so helpful I want thank her for helpful me

Great specials,

Despite calling Woolies customer service who don’t seem to care. The entrance to the shopping centre still stinks of sewerage. Take a close look at the wire shelves in the deli and meat cabinets. Corroded old and dirty. Some are even showing rust and they think it’s fine to put food on top. Yes food in packaged in the meat but the deli it could be exposed. Time to call Onkapringa council.

Very friendly staff and served quickly.

Friendly staff and good service Specials worth checking out

Good range and service.

Good local Woolworths store with all the normal items you need with plenty of parking spaces available and easy access in and out.

Typical woollies overpriced under staffed

Andrew served me and my partner today.the best customer service we have had in a long time

Great help with some one in a wheelchair good staff

Love shopping at Woolies

Expensive! items on special, arnt on special they put prices up beforehand, then when they they say they are on special ,theyre not on special at all if anything they are more expensive

Great food , always fresh produce, friendly staff, a pleasure to do shopping here

Very clean and spacious store to shop in. Shelves are generally stocked very well and the quality of fresh food is very good. The staff here are very friendly and are always up for a decent chat!

Not a big range, always out of stock of items, long waits if you don't self serve

Clean, friendly staff, good range, great parking.

Large store

Why are lamb forequarters chops still $19 a kilo when lamb is in season? I'll be going elsewhere as this is the same price all year. You would think price could be reduced when in season.

I shop here on a regular basis. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well stocked. Fruit and vegetables are some of the freshest around. A very well run store.

Clean and well stocked.

I use to work at Woolworths and I am disgusted every time I go into this woolworths. The culture must be terrible because the way the staff treat customers is appalling! There is never any check outs open and it takes for there to be 10 people waiting with full trolleys before they will begrudgingly open a check out. I have been flat out ignored standing at the service desk many times and had to literally ask if anyone was going to break away from their weekend chats to serve. Last night I gave my bags to the check out guy and he threw them to the side and scanned all my items and stood there watching me pack a full trolley worth of items into my bags. This isn’t Aldi. As I worked in check outs for Woolworths myself for over 5 years I cannot fathom treating customers like that. No greetings, I usually ask them about their day where they grunt a one word response. We live around the corner but have chosen to do our shopping elsewhere because we cannot deal with it anymore!

Lots of empty shelves still

I'm here every day... always good service at the deli counter and stock levels are always high. A special mention to the kind and welcoming lady who is often at the self service checkouts when I'm there at 7.30 in the morning.

I really appreciate the service at this store. I don't know how you arrange the Woolworths truck driver to wave, but I love it. Can I get a beep next time? I returned a electric toothbrush yesterday. Found the staff very helpful. Couple of weeks ago returned wrong coffee pods. I got I had even opened the packet. Then Guess what happened. The Woolworths big truck was driving past on my jog. And he waved at me. I enthusiastically waved back. I love Woolworths

Great range and good prices

A good Woolworths in general

Good friendly service.

Good place to shop.

Clean store, happy staff in and out quick - love it

Great friendly staff

Dissapointed I scanned my card my but obviously it did not work for my points to be accumulated, the attendant didn't comment that it had not registered . After being served I checked my receipt and saw the points had not been added spoke to another register operator who said they could not help me so am not happy at the moment .

By far my favourite supermarket in SA! The car parking is excellent and it is not as crowded as other supermarkets. The staff are extremely friendly and proficient with their service. At the fast checkout counter the service is outstanding and the staff are friendly, smiling and always willing to assist customers! The deli section offers excellent service from cheerful staff. The layout of the store is great and shopping is very easy at this Woolworths supermarket. Chemist Warehouse, Browse in and Save, Zarrelli's coffee shop, Winters Hamburgers, a Salvos store and other a excellent shops enhance the shopping experience at Seaford Meadows!

Have just shopped and there was only one person serving at express checkout. There was a long line up and it took some time to get extra staff. Really not good enough. I begrudge self serve as I do not work for your company and we need to preserve people's jobs.

Their click and collect service is really disgusting !

Very helpful staff. Was buying my own things plus for 2 others as well. 3 different transactions. They did it all with a smile.

Good quality staff that are helpful and friendly with a great attitude.

The two wooden seats are dangerous and wably at the front entrance

Best woolies store around. Always feels like it's quiet. So much room . Excellent store

Great place to shop

Good selection and variety of foods

Great place to shop. Clean & well set out.

The self service staff was way to busy talking to friends to notice and notify manager of excessive build up of shoppers at checkout....Woolworths needs to understand on Fridays before long weekend on school holidays , in fact any Friday....people just want and need to get out of store with goods ...waiting a half hr to get through checkout is not on ....plus staff talking with friends instead of assisting shoppers is slack and dissrespectful

Very efficient and loads of choices.

Convenient for the meadows residents with excellent and well mannered staff.

It's Wollies

Fantastic Woolies

I've just come from Woolworths Seaford Meadows (12pm). I am very disappointed as there were no fresh bakery items ie, finger buns etc. I asked behind the bakery counter and was told there was none and there wasn't going to be any. I just thought by lunch time on a Monday things would be ready. As I live locally this Woolworths is closest and I spend a lot of money there 😟
