Web site says food available, this is not the case

The staff speaks English fluently, but if you are not Chinese or cannot speak Chinese, I would not recommend staying here. Anyway, this is what I felt and experienced.

Beers are cheap. Shame is no good for food anymore.

I loved it. Mainly because it was Saturday night and I was the only person there.

Bouncer kicked me out for having tourettes, continued to stalk me outside of the premises, and broke my walking stick. Staff don't even tend the bar, as they're busy doing cocaine in the bathroom most of the time. If I were capable of it, I'd come in there and smash all your machines. I still might try it anyway.

Staff are very friendly & helpful. If u are Asian u will feel right at home. Clean. Pleasant. Did not eat there so cannot comment.

Playing machines for 2 hours $1500 in the same machine and not one pay, not one feature? Not one lightening go? Government needs to come in and check the machines. I don’t think they are following the rules. Can’t even get a bit of a go. Pathetic

THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN A PUB ALL THE WORKERS ARE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!!! WAS PLAYING AND NOT ONCE WAS I OFFERED A DRINK. ALL THE GIRLS TOO BUSY STANDING NEXT TO BIG PUNTERS PLAYING THE MACHINE WITH THE CUSTOMER. Never going there again with this service

Was hoping I’d like this place but unfortunately a certain staff member was beyond rude and condescending. Saying that you’re a “manager” doesn’t make you all high and mighty. Maybe by get control of your power trip and make your customers feel welcomed. Racist.

Some time ago this place used to have a nice chill vibe and good food in an underground style, but since the renovations increasing the size of the pokies area it has really lost it. Service is good if you're in the gaming area, outside that you'll be struggling to find a staff member to serve you. Sure, it's quiet and great for getting some work done if you're so inclined, but the pokie machines dinging away in the background are ever the reminder of the purpose of the place. Bit of a shame to have this place slip away into a reverse ATM storage unit that serves beer but no atmosphere, but at least there's beer.

Even one star is too generous. A lady left a certain pokie machine and put up a ‘reserved’ sign. Some time had passed before we asked if it could be played and staff said ‘she put a lot of money in, she’s coming back’. Another staff was asked and she said she would follow up but is now walking around as if we’re see through. She herself even said machines can usually be reserved for 15 mins. It has since been over an hour and still nothing, again being told ‘she’s coming back’. Won’t be coming back here and wouldn’t recommend to anyone either. This place is rubbish.

Gotta like a place where you win $400 on the pokies! Staff are polite and tavern is always clean.

Good little pub, new decor, open till early morning. Catering frequent for the punters. Good place to stop in for a beer, feed, flutter or just to pass some time with friends.

I recently visited the Rydalmere Tavern and unfortunately, it wasn't quite what I was expecting. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, I was disappointed to find that they didn't serve food. This was a bit of a letdown as I had been hoping to enjoy a meal while I was there. Another thing that stood out to me was the large pokie area. It seemed like a significant portion of the tavern was dedicated to pokie machines, which wasn't really my cup of tea. While I understand that many people enjoy playing the pokies, it didn't make for a particularly inviting atmosphere for those who aren't interested in gambling. In terms of the drinks, the selection was decent but not outstanding. It didn't seem like a place where people go to enjoy a wide range of craft beers or creative cocktails - rather, it was more of a standard pub-style drinks menu. Overall, I would say that the Rydalmere Tavern isn't really a destination for people who are looking for a great meal or a wide selection of drinks. If you're into pokie machines, it might be more up your alley, but for those who are looking for a more traditional pub experience, there are likely better options out there. That being said, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable, so if you're in the area and looking for a quick drink, it could be worth stopping in.

Off the beaten track, but very friendly staff. It was a good place to visit between rental inspections in the area.

I played the gambling machine, suddenly, the guy came and told me that you may ruin my machine, with very angry attitude. I was really confused . He said you only play 2 cents very time, every body here playing more than 50 cents and dollars, if you have nothing to do, I find somewhere for you to take a seat, stop playing machine please if you keep playing 2 cents . I had been here more than 16 years playing most of places machine in Sydney , this is the first time I heard about ridiculous talking. I can not play less money in this club, it will ruin the machine. If I can’t play 2 cents for very time, the machine must set up more 50 cents or more every time. And I have habit , at the beginning, I play small to test machine first . Why you are so rude , so ridiculous.

Was quite, not many patrons in at that time . Nice service, clean and warm. They could do with another pool table or table tennis

According to the Google pictures it had meals. It does not do meals. The bar staff told us they do not do meals. Place is small and dark. Good theme though. Not much going on the day we went there. Not a lot of parking.

The staff have poor service

Was nice and quiet place. For drinks it's good, but for side snacks (chips and spinach cheese rolls) it took too long and served microwaved only (that's why bit soggy). The bartender was good and friendly. Overall we had a good experience.

This place is already in my favourite list. It is where me and my colleagues from the office have that deserved Fryday beer before going home. I like the environment, the service and the variety of beers. They could have some more different snacks to eat with the beer. If you like to bet in horse racing, this is also a good place to go.

First visit last week Jo and Adam at bar where great advertised as Trans friendly told them I was and was looked after while I was their .

Been here a few times, mainly for gaming. The pomie machines are not the best. Gambled alot of money at this venue & never won (If your a big gambler i definitely recommend albion hotel in parramtta. Always pays. Cracker player membership rewards. If your a high range player sign up as a member at albion hotel because the point accumulation is ridiculously high and you can use your bonus points to pay for drinks/food/bottleshop purchases and they also have P2P points you can transfer as credits to play. Albion hotel have seperated the bonus points and P2P points as well which is fantastic ❤👌) The customer service at rydalmere in gaming is generally a hit or a miss but today was by far the best experience on a customer service basis that i have received whilst attending the rydamlere venue. I believe the gaming attendants name was jay (female, asian nationality) She is definitely an asset to the venue. Her gaming customer service is on point 👌

What used to be a hidden gem tavern where you could get a craft beer on tap and an excellent ramen from the in-house japanese resturant is now a great big pokies room with a bar.. No lunch, no dinner, no kitchen anymore. the pokies have taken over the old dining space during lockdown. Very disappointing to see that the true priority so obviously lies in making money by preying on the vulnerable

My friend and I came to the tavern on the weekend and the service was fast and efficient, the cocktails amazing and the ambience was better than we expected. Thank you for a great night. We will definitely be back.

Pollution out the front of the pub is disgusting about a million cigarette butts no doubt thrown on the ground by patrons

Venue is beautiful, but customer service isn't the best. My friend and I came for a few drinks but left after one. We were sitting at the bar and gesturing we wanted to order another and the girl behind the bar served other people twice and not us and the manager was next to us and still didn't bother to ask if i wanted another drink either. So we left and can't say I will return , a real shame.

I love this tavern ! Its not because I am a regular winner, I often lose my shirt, its just the staff know how to get things right. I can't knock them and the pokie maidens are angels
