As luxurious as ever! Staff even went above and beyond to surprise with a platter of treats for our anniversary! Thank you so much guys! And many thanks for the late checkout! Perhaps the only thing to comment on for improvement is the ongoing issue with water running out of the shower floor area onto the main bathroom floor - can do with some drainage alterations.

Fantastic rooms and smack center in city. Great shutout curtains. Would be nice if there were amenities inside the room considering it's a 4 star. Room service took so so long and had to call thrice to ask for a hairdryer. Disappointed with front desk.

This was a nice hotel but was let down but a lot! The location wasn't great, there was no parking and everything nearby was just another inconvience that we had to deal with. We stayed here on the Friday and Saturday night and had no sleep due to the very loud nightclubs nearby keeping me up to 2am, the bright light in the bathroom we couldn't turn off certainly didn't help the situation. When we told the staff about this, they could have given a rat's about it. I understand you can't do anything about the noise, but you certainly could have done something to make up for it. Poor location, poor service and the rooms were nothing special.

Very nice meals in the restaurant. Beef cheek with red wine and mash is very nice. Wow this beef will just pull apart so nicely. Fish of the day was salmon with grilled celeriac and baby peas. Was nice meal except the grilled celerity tasted like the grill.

I had a fantastic experience here at Crowne Plaza Hobart. From the front-of-house team to the kitchen staff, everyone was warm and welcoming. I stopped by for breakfast on February 1 after a long drive from Launceston, and what was meant to be a simple meal turned into a truly memorable experience. Despite the morning rush, the team handled everything smoothly. The Chef de Partie (whom I got to know along with the team as I grew curious and was truly impressed by how they interacted with guests) personally brought out my sunny-side-up eggs, making me feel genuinely valued as a guest. That level of service speaks volumes about their dedication. I highly recommend visiting this place—no surprise, it’s IHG! I’ll definitely be back on my next visit. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

A wonderful motel to stay at. The service was excellent and the food very nice. Room and serving were comfortable, spacious and clean. Central location and easy walk to attractions.

Very pleasant helpful staff...even to the point on ground level, the attendant will call the elevator as he recognizes guests enter! My room was spotless and spacious and quiet.

The guest house enjoys a prime location, and the check - in process is a breeze. The rooms are not only spotlessly clean but also possess a unique charm. Should my friends plan a visit to Stanley, I will definitely recommend they stay here.

Great location in the CBD, perfect room, staff helpful, club food a little let down to an excellent stay.

The Crowne Plaza is the prefect hotel for travellers to Tasmania arriving in Hobart. We stayed here last year and again this year, as the location is perfect and the hotel is quiet and a great place to relax and rest after a long flight from the UK. The staff are very helpful and then service across the hotel is great. They rooms are spacious (our room this year had a great view of Mt Wellington!), the buffet breakfast is superb (try the omelette!!) and the hotel is a short walk to the harbour, restaurants and other sights. Drop off and pick up outside is easy - we picked up a hire car from Avis around the corner and pulled up outside to collect our luggage. Definitely recommend this place.

I would not recommend. There was a light in the bathroom that couldn’t be turned off - no eye masks provided. Our rooms looked down onto Liverpool street so we were kept awake until 2am in the morning on Friday and Saturday night due to the two local night clubs. When this issue was raised to staff, they were very dismissive. They used the excuse that the hotel was busy and its only bad on the weekends. I would assume usually the most popular time to stay at a hotel. A discounted rate and earplugs should have been provided at a minimum. More staff were needed at breakfast. The long wait is not worth it. Go to a cafe across the road instead. Only 2 of the 3 lifts were working, it was a struggle to get an empty one. I was told not to use the stairs by staff. Local parking options are terrible.

Have stayed at the CP hobart a few times for work and this time was a weekend getaway with The Minister for War and Finance, to celebrate our anniversary. Firstly, Hobart is an awsome weekend getaway destination, especially from melbourne. There are great markets on both saturday and sunday, plus occasional friday nigh market at Brooke St Pier. All these are a short walk from the Crowne Plaza which is smack bang in the centre of town. There are also heaps of bars and restaraunts nearby. Also if you are planning a day at MONA, the MONA ferry teeminal is an easy 15 min walk from the hotel. (pre booking is advisable) The hotel is one of australia's newer crowne plazas, similar to the Adelaide CP but this one has a club lounge on the top floor with 270 degree views of Hobart. The rates are reasonable compared to Melb or Sydney, and the standard of rooms are great. The only slightly amnoying thing if you're a regular IHG traveller, is that the IHG F&B rewards vouchers don't work on the app at this property. When you try to redeem them in the app, the current stay does'nt show up. This time I managed to get the checkout team to apply them manually but this has been an issue for nearly 2 years so I hope they can sorr it out. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel as a great central hub for sny stay in hobart. Will keep coming back for sure 👍

Pros: Location was superb, easy access to restaurants and shops, close to the marina. Room clean, decent size, Check in and check out staff are friendly. Cons: 1. The minibar in my room was not replenished properly after the previous customer checked out. Two items were missing, I identified the issue and notified reception staff on duty, the guy said he would put a note. But at check out I was still told we consumed from minibar, which we absolutely did not. I explained to the reception lady again what happened, she said it was fine we didn't need to pay what we didn't take. But it's two weeks now we still haven't got our deposit back. 2. Noise from club next door was unbearable during weekend. 3. I opted to go Green without need for daily cleaning, suppose to get extra points, which were never applied to my account.

Fantastic location in the heart of Hobart. Great hotel. Two recommendations for the buffet breakfast - invest in a better coffee machine. Broke down every breakfast for the 3 days and ancient in comparison to other hotels. Need to have a separate hot water dispenser for tea drinkers - lining up with coffee machine people for hot water is not efficient. Second, the size of coffee and tea cups were too small. Recommend a mug option to limit the visits to the machine - especially for tea drinkers.

Friendly staff and great service

From 19/12/2024 to 22/12/2024 we stayed at Crowne Plaza Hobart and, unfortunately, our experience has been marred by their failure to return the deposit we paid. Despite assurances that the deposit was refunded once we checked out, we never got it. I have made several attempts to contact them regarding this issue, but each time I am either ignored or given vague answers. The lack of communication and professionalism in handling this matter is extremely disappointing. |We are still waiting for the deposit refund. |This unresolved issue has completely spoiled my impression of the hotel, and I cannot recommend it.

Good location. Easy to walk around. Club access has beautiful view of the city Hobart.

First time staying here, and I hate to say it but I was not very impressed. I called for an earlier check in as we were coming over from Bruny Island and the staff were unhelpful in trying to get an early check in. They told me to come in early but it wasn’t guaranteed? So why would I travel in if I couldn’t get an earlier check in. The reception was unhelpful in offering to take bags to the room and I am heavily pregnant. The mini bar in the room was impractical I couldn’t even fit my own small water bottle inside. Also the last thing was the noise Saturday night ( I knew the location was central) but wasn’t aware it was right near a loud Saturday night local place.. I would have thought those rooms may have been double glazed… the music didn’t stop until 1am. I wanted to really relax and enjoy this place but I wasn’t impressed. Also when I reserved my room it was under $400 and when they charged my room it was an extra $64 and that isn’t even plus the car parking valet for $35.

- rooms facing Liverpool St have to deal with extremely loud club music until midnight, my bed was vibrating with the noise - you can’t turn the bathroom light off at night - lifts are always full in the morning and you sometimes have to wait 10 minutes for one that’s for space - breakfast buffet was subpar and extremely understaffed so there was always a big queue

The Deck was the place for drinks and a pizza

Great location in Hobart, Spacious room and bath room. The biggest club lounge we have ever visited. Plenty of space and not sitting on top of each other, staff friendly and helpful. We will be back.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Hotel was immaculate, rooms were stunning and modern, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, coffee was the best in the city. Staff were friendly and happy to help, really felt like we were their guest. We had a great view of the water and would highly recommend this hotel.

It’s looks like a new facility squeezed inside the city buildings..First of all, the hotel has a very small entrance between big shops, but hard to find ..after finding the hotel, finding a parking spot to drop off luggage’s were a nightmare..luckily found some street parking bit ahead of the building and walked back to hotel. Staff members are really friendly and helpful. Room given to us were bit smaller than the regular IHG rooms..breakfast was good but with limited cuisine options...view from level 4 restaurant is great but the views from room depends on the room you are getting.. overall enjoyed the stay.

Great location and services

Great hotel, our King Junior suite for the kids and I was outstanding. Buffet breakfast and happy hour canapés were such a treat.

Currently staying here. The rooms are lovely the views great but we won’t be sleeping until after 2am when the nightclub gets cut off ! The noise coming through 9 levels up is ridiculous especially if facing Liverpool street. At 1030pm offered an alternate room on the other side but the noise still comes through. Whilst having club lounge access tomorrow is a nice acknowledgement for the frustrations we no doubt will have until the early morning , paying for this room is very upsetting. With car parking my room rate is over $370 to stay in a noisey room and expect terrible sleep and then an irritable day. The hotel is aware of this so it’s disappointing that they aren’t transparent when selling the rooms

Unbelieable bad. The service is worse than 2 stars hotel

Dylan who works at the concierge desk is amazing. He went above and beyond to help my son who had lost his phone and returned it to him. All staff were polite and friendly. Would recommend staying here.

My family and I have stayed multiple times at the Crowne Plaza Hobart, averaging about 2-3 times a year and we have always had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The range of rooms options in our opinion compare quite well for value when choosing to stay in Hobart. Club lounge facilities and service are fantastic.

Great location, the breakfast was delicious but they need to add nuttella to the breakfast buffet. The rooms were very nice with automatic blinds and curtains. The paratha was delicious but would be better with nutella. Overall a great hotel, FIVE STARS

We have stayed at this hotel many times & have booked the lounge access every time. Although the staff are lovely the food quality there is a let down. Also, no spirits are served, just wine & beer. Hotel rooms are good & all staff are great

I had the ultimate pleasure of staying in this hotel. The room was beautiful & very spacious. The staff were so attentive & charming. I would certainly stay here again when visiting Hobart. The location is perfect for getting around the town.

The overall hotel is awesome with a delicious breakfast. I booked the Premium Corner Studio which was a wonderful room. Everything was going well till we came across a staff at the lounge club on level 12 who was rude and approached us in an unprofessional manner. The complain was lodged with the Manager and we were offered complimentary drink for inconvenience caused by the staff. ‘But’ we later thought our insult is not worth of the complimentary drinks. Thanks anyway to the manager for providing that. A place where guest are treated with respect is what we are looking for.

the valet parking stuff is terrible.

Superb staff, amazing rooms and good location. The parking situation is my only gripe. But other than that perfect stay. Bar staff are sometimes not as friendly. But the breakfast buffet team is fantastic. The reception team is awesome too. The ones that require special mention are the concierge team. Very helpful and professional.

It was very bad experience to stay at the Crowne Plaza hobart.|They provided the toothpaste and shower lotion etc which all shows out of the expiry date. The customer serivce explained that they used the refill bottle. And the toothpaste was out of expiry and could not be refilled, they had no explaination. In this way, I do not trust they refilled the shower lotion bottle, I doubt it might be out of date as well. And it maked my daughter skin itchy and red.|On the third night, when we back to hotel at night, time to go to bed and found the they forgot to put the bed sheet cover on bed.|I reported to customer service, and he asked me to email to the manager, I sent two emails to the manager and no respond over more than two weeks.

Wonderful stay. Thank you to the lovely concierges and breakfast staff.

Let me start off by saying great hotel, great location, clean, modern, nice views & till feels new beds very comfy and shower and baths great, my one and only gripe and we have been here 4 times now and planning on a 5th is the food in the club lounge... guys samosas, boiled eggs and cold cuts become very boring and repetitive night after night, looking forward to something a little more adventurous next time

We booked club rooms with a harbour view. Got good views of the harbour but slightly obstructed bu the Movenpick hotel. Saw the midnight fireworks from level 11. Good views. The club lounge staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely service from the staff there. Rooms well appointed. Just wish there was some water in the rooms.

Good part - - Good views and room has good facilities. - Staff is good and friendly, can be better. Bad part - - Room cleanliness has lot to be desired, with even vaccuum is not done in the room. I had to request staff to do it. This is basic thing and should be done by default. - Food menu is limited and taste isn't great either. - Breakfast spread is pretty limited as well and repeititve. - Exercise Room could be a lot better, and requires investment. - Parking porcess can be better.

Rooms: modern yet they have no separation between dry and wet bathroom so there will be a wet floor after showers. Plastic jugs if you want a cup of tea (something you'd expect from a 3 star motel) Electric curtains and blinds were nice but with possibly the worst view of Hobart. Service: greeted at the front and told to go check in at 4th floor. Check in was slow. Food was mediocre and slow. $15 for a soup that came with burnt sourdough and no butter. Location is in the city but coming by airport is a hassle as you may walk past the front as signage is poor

Went for lunch with the extended family at Core.

Housekeeping did not clean the bathroom correctly. There was human feces on the wall, on the glass door and on the floor when we checked into the room. I called the front desk to have them clean, the front desk did not understand what I was saying. After 20 minutes they sent someone who cleaned the toilet … I called again to have them clean. 30 minutes later. Someone showed up, it was close to midnight and I wanted to go to bed. The person cleaned after I pointed to the spots that needed to be clean. They again left or dirty. I talked to the front desk in the morning and I asked for only the toilet area to be cleaned again. Upon returning from a long day, I found that it was again not cleaned very well and I also found out that my retainers that I left on a glass with water by the sink were gone. They never found them and now I’ll probably have to pay 700 USD for the negligence and incompetence of this hotel. I will NEVER stay here.

We had a lovely stay at Crown Plaza in Hobart. Wonderful hotel, rooms, staff and location. Only thing that was a bit disappointing was that I ticked the add on “roll in bed” only to be told that was not possible in any rooms! I then had to book another extra room as we were 3 people. I booked on the phone with the hotel but found out later that I could have booked at a cheaper price on booking.com! Even though I am an IHG member. I wrote an email about this to the hotel but never got a reply. I find it is a strange way to treat returning members.

I do remember that the gentlemen at the reception told me that I could earn 500 points fr not having our room cleaned we put this sign on our door but I see know I did not recieve any points??

One of the best hotels in Tassy, had the the best room with an extraordinary view. The buffet breakfast was delicious! But my favourite part of this hotel was the fresh oysters.

Took my sister in law to restaurant with my daughter and grandaughter we have been here before as my sister in law was visting us from Queensland we thought it would be nice to have a drink and eat we ordered coffee and hot chocolate pizza and chips when we got the hot chocolate for my grandaughter she took a sip and it burnt her mouth we told the waitress but she wasn't that apologetic not a good experience also the food was cold .will give this a miss from now on.

good location easy fine the Restaurant

We stayed here for our anniversary for 2 nights. The staff were very quick to help take our luggage and valet park our car. Check in was easy. Our room was on 11th floor corner suite. The room was excellent & spacious with floor to ceiling windows displaying awesome views over both city & wharf. Super clean and comfortable bed. Definitely going back

Terrible location, do not expect valet parking out the front, if you need quick valet service or multiple times per day, stay somewhere else

On our arrival we were shunted between 3 different blokes on the ground floor , on level 4 the service was 100% ,our room was upgraded to water views

The staff was very courteous and efficient. We had a great view from our bedroom. The accommodations and service was tough notch.

Overall great atmosphere, rooms and service, terrible design for shower though, had no screen door.

Unfortunately this hotel always seems to have phone problems ..rang last week to book High Tea no one answering and then later in the day hung up on twice ..rang this morning and transferred to wrong floor and then phone went dead ..rang back and was told a time to ring because no one available to talk!

Lovely hotel in prime location in CBD. I received an upgrade to a harbour view room which was a welcome surprise. Rooms were modern, well maintained like new and clean.

A fantastic hotel to stay, one I would recommend and definitely stay in again. The reception is located on the 4th floor of the building and is very easy to get to. The staff at reception were extremely friendly and I received excellent service. The room was great for the price: clean, comfortable, big bed and spacious. My next trip to Hobart will see me staying here again!

I had an excellent stay at the crown Plaza in Hobart. The customer service was great and overall nice atmosphere to the hotel. Restaurant staff were very accommodating as well as reception staff. I liked the option of being able to leave luggage at the hotel after check out and being able to collect it on the ground floor instead of having to take the lift to reception. The only flaw to this hotel would be the lifts. I found them a bit slow at times. Other than that, my experience here is one that I would recommend to anyone that has the budget to treat themselves.

Fantastic place to stay, in the heart of Hobart cbd, the staff were incredible, so good at what they do, valet parking was so well run, everyone amazing, I recommend for anyone to stay here

We stayed for one night at this location before heading off on a hike. Comfortable beds, clean rooms that are modern and well maintained. The hotel was a beautiful aroma when you walk enter.

Booked from 27/11 to 2/12 and overall we had a very enjoyable stay, this was also our second time here due to the great experience last year.||The room 1033 was clean and spacious with no concerns other than on one day, it wasn't serviced despite leaving at 9:30am and returning around 3pm? ||We frequented the level 12 lounge daily and a big shout out to the staff who provided us with impeccable service every time, access is an added cost but was well worth it for us. The food was of a high standard and varied, especially in the afternoon and an excellent place to either start your day or relax in the afternoon. ||Level 4 is check in and there is a great bar and outdoor area to eat at, again staff are very good and we were granted a late check out of 2pm which was greatly appreciated due to our 8pm flight. ||The main detractor for this stay was Saturday night on level 4 that was filled with overly loud and seemingly inebriated patrons that we guessed had migrated from a function on level 12? Not helping was that I also could not work out why there was only one service line at the lift end despite your impressively large bar? ||I mostly mention this because we have really enjoyed this space previously so it's unfortunate that on this occasion, finding a quiet place to eat and enjoy the view which you promote, was not attainable and instead we ended up having room service. Sadly this does make me question whether we return.||The hotel is well positioned and is only a 10 min walk to the waterfront and the Salamanca markets which are well worth checking out. Parking is valet style and we had no issues dropping off and retrieving our car, the price is reasonable too and again, the service was great.||Overall I do recommend this hotel but they need to be more mindful of ensuring their amenities are welcoming to all of their guests at all times, it's what we paid for after all.

Nicely surprised with the free upgrade to address our club noise complaint.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel twice during an 11day period, each for a two night stay. The positives include a central CBD location, the well designed rooms, great pillows, not tripple sheeted and the spacious restaurant / bar area. The restaurant food was very good, with the buffet breakfast arrangement being generous with the very wide selection on offer. Our accommodation package included Valet parking, buffet breakfast and dining discounts through a travel website which made the package very reasonable. All this added to the experience. The downsides to staying were minimal but included, bathrooms needing small amounts of repair, no parking available onsite (Valet parking vehicles are stored off site), advertising is out of date (such as restaurant hours), the bar and restaurant can get very busy at times with long queues at the bar (more staff possibly needed), ocassional drink orders forgotten and the hotels records not being accurate such as having a late checkout as part of our package but staff not being aware and wondering why we were still in our room. The reception staff also failed to apply a dining discount and had to be reminded resulting in the bill being reduced. Despite the negatives, I would happily stay again.

This hotel is centrally located within the shopping district and only a short walk to the waterfront. The rooms are modern, and clean, with simple technology to automatically open the curtains or to indicate you don’t want to be disturbed. I found the bed comfortable and the room at night to be quiet and dark, perfect for a solid restful sleep. Valet Parking is expensive so I chose not to use it. I had a hire car and overnight, or when I wasn’t using it, I parked on the streets and paid for that if I needed to. I enjoyed two meals at the restaurant. Both were quite good. If I was going to complain about anything, I’d say the foyer at ground level smells overwhelmingly and sickeningly of some sort of fragrance; and the shower in my room was poorly designed, with no door and a poorly positioned drain, so each time I had a shower I soaked the bathroom floor. Despite these two things, I’d definitely stay at this hotel again. 😃
